It was a wonderful experience at Indian coffee house. Every dish we brought was tasty 😋. We brought porotta , chicken fry , Masala dosa , cutlet etc. We liked everything there. The staff was polite and kind .

Tasty food and good service, Very clean premises. Located in TB road opposite to Kosamattam City Centre and Lakshmi silks and it is very near to KSRTC bus station.

There are two Indian Coffee Houses in Kottayam town and this is near the KSRTC Busstand. It is in an old house. The building is not that good. The food is of average quality. The toilet and urinal are the worst. You cannot enter the urinal or toilet without closing your nose. That much unclean are there rooms.

Good old restaurant in Kottayam. Inside Kottayam market area. Small restaurant compared to other restaurants. But really a nostalgic place for all in Kottayam. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes available. Vada- Chutney with tea is my favourite after a round shopping in and around kottayam town. Also, available dosas, biriyanis, etc and a lot of other dishes. Coffee tastes very pure here. Cleanliness average. Small rest room available. No parking facility. No wheelchair accessibility. Kids friendly.

Quality food . I used to come here a bit while ago . I don't clearly know a lot since it has been 2 years since I went there . But, I would tell you how it was earlier. They used to serve amazing food and excellent coffee. But my only complaint is that they serve masala dosa containing beetroot. Everything else is fine I recommend this as a quality restaurant. Friendly workers and staff too And, an enormous menu

As I write this review this place is still new . The place looks clean and has a decent parking space. The rest rooms are clean as well. Courteous stewards are there at your service. The food was good and like any other Indian coffee house’s this place serves awesome cutlets . The place is quietly located next to Thirunakara Mahadeva Temple. Overall a good place for your quick bites.

This was on another road, road that goes to Bharath Hospital. A year or two ago, they shifted to this place. Bit far from the "city centre" but a good location. Enough parking space and roadside. The food is better, than I expected. During lunch, it's a little noisy. And they are open by 7.30 in the morning.

My recent experience at Kottayam Indian Coffee House was disappointing to say the least. The food I ordered was tasteless and far from what I expected in terms of flavor. Moreover, I was deeply concerned about the lack of hygiene observed during my visit. The overall experience left me with a strong feeling of dissatisfaction, and I would not recommend this place to others.

It's a little difficult to reach here. Enough parking lots are there in front of the hotel, the hotel authority should make an eye on the way the vehicles are parked to maximize the parking. I tried chicken biryani which is not top notch

I would have gone to place for at least 30 times in two months. I am thoroughly happy with the people, food and service there. It’s a tight space but the quality of food is good. I guarantee that they make their food clean and I never had any problems with the food or people. They are very friendly and welcoming. There fried rice and Manchurian curries are a must try category. I will recommend them to any one. It’s fun to talk to all of their staff. They treat you very respectfully.

Visited this place to have a chicken biriyani and had the worst chicken biriyani ever from an Indian coffee house.The chicken had no spices and was literally watery curry.Doesn't even deserve half a star for this.The place also looked unhygienic,there were so much dirt and even food waste on top of the tables as well as on the floor,they haven't even bothered cleaning it up properly.The worst Indian coffee house in Kottayam.

Normally an average customer prefer to visit Indian Coffee house or aaryas on their journey. Most of the time it's pocket friendly and good in quality. There is one at Kottayam as well, which is located just opposite to the Lakshmi Silks near Kottayam KSRTC. Parking is there only for two wheelers. Most of the time, the staff were friendly and supportive. Rates are as I mentioned earlier it's pocket friendly. This property was once a house and now converted to a restaurant. There is a toilet which you never forget. Not clean at all. A separate area for families with ladies is also there. This is very neat to KSRTC just opposite side. About the quality of food, this shop need an improvement. Meals are ok, but side dishes are not good. Chicken biriyani is also average. But the kerala's own porota is not upto the mark. My suggestions: Don't sit in the room next to the washing area and toilet block. Get in and have a biriyani, which will not make you sad.

In the course of the 1940s there were nearly 50 Coffee Houses all over British India. Due to a change in the policy in the mid 1950s, the Board decided to close down the Coffee Houses. Encouraged by the communistleader A. K. Gopalan(AKG), the workers of the Coffee Board began a movement and compelled the Coffee Board to agree to handover the outlets to the workers who then formed Indian Coffee Workers' Co-operatives and renamed the network as Indian Coffee House. A co-operative began in Bangalore on 19 August 1957, and one was established in Delhi on 27 December 1957.Later Bellary and Madras (Chennai) Societies were separated from their mother societies. Malviya Marg Branch, Jabalpur serves as the head office of ICWCS. In October 2018, Indian Coffee House has its 8th branch of Jabalpur. ndia Coffee Board Worker's Co-operative Society Ltd. No.4227, Trissur: Established on 10 February 1958.The first Indian Coffee House opened at Trissur on 8 March 1958. It was also the fourth ICH in the country. The society have more than 50 branches across Trissur, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram.

As all other Indian coffee houses, this one is also very good. The food in here is very good. But the importance of Indian coffee houses are of their naturally blend of coffee. The hotel is filled with that aroma. The food are of different types. And for those who are concerned about parking, there's enough space for parking. After eating, there's a sweets section at the billing section which has so many sweets, it's too good. To come with your family it's a very good place.
