Vibe is great. There is a “quiet” dining section if you don’t want that loud music from the DJ. Lots of unique food selection and craft beers. Expect to get slow service though specially at weekend nights when there are lots of party goers. Great bar. Will try again for sure.

We recently visited Alamat, a Filipino bistro located in Poblacion. The restaurant focuses on showcasing Filipino pride through its tribal and ancestral cuisine, as well as craft drinks. We chose to wait on the balcony while waiting for a friend, and although the ambience and music were enjoyable, it was uncomfortably hot in that area, possibly due to its proximity to the road. Once inside, the unique decor, featuring star-shaped lights made of Capiz shells, intricate cement walls, and folklore murals, transported us to a different world, reminiscent of a grandmother's ancestral house it truly provided a break from the bustling city. As for the food,I highly recommend trying the Poblechon sisig, which includes their own lechon belly, pork ears, 63-degree eggs, red onions, and green chili. Another standout was the bagnet platter, consisting of bagnet chips, thick-cut bagnet, sukang alamat, served with coconut-crab fat sauce and lechon sauce. Both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. Moreover, Alamat is renowned for its selection of locally sourced craft beers from various regions in the Philippines. So I decided to try their “De Futa Madre” craft beer, which had a strong coffee liqueur aftertaste. This bold and intense malt beer, with an alcohol content of up to 8%, might be overwhelming for those new to craft beers- like me. I recommend pairing it with dishes that have intense flavors. If you're not looking to spend too much on craft beers in one night, you can opt to try them individually. Overall, the food at Alamat Pub was sinfully delicious, offering a taste of the forbidden. Cheers to Alamat for championing Filipino cuisine and providing a unique dining experience

Just went to this place, and loved it! Love the vibe, love the food, love the drinks, love the service. At first I thought it was gonna be one of those pricey places with small food servings, but was surprised when our order came. Their bestseller Beef Belly Bistek was wonderfully tender and the flavor well-balanced, and the solo size can actually feed 2-3 people. But I was hungry so I devoured it all! Haha Will definitely go back there, and I highly recommend this place. 👍

Third time in this spot and never fails to surpass expectation! Each dish and drink is well thought of, unique, and full of flavor. Really celebrates good Filipino cuisine! Had their new dishes and I loved the Beef Belly Bistek and Crispy Pork Binagoongan. Craft beers are always PFF the hook and their Tito Sangria is one of the best I've had. Also appreciate the improvement they did on the al fresco area. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Highly recommended, can't wait to be back!

A little insight into Filipino culture — Filipino words are tricky in the sense that one word can have variable meanings depending on the layer of nuance it refers to. Alamat - is a noun that means legend but in slang is used as an adjective. A person who is an alamat cannot just be mundanely cool, he has to be outlandishly awesome or über cool! Alamat Filipino Pub & Deli certainly lives up to its moniker with Filipino originality at its best, showcasing local ingredients and serving unique takes on ingredients we usually associate with everyday cooking staples. Their signature kalamansi mojito and Salabatman (made of Salabat or ginger) did not disappoint! Again, the play with words is evident - it can mean salabat man (ginger man) or a fun mix of the word salabat + batman. Either way, its a fun way to mess with your mind! What is even more admirable is their foray into creating a signature liquor - the Sirena (Mermaid) Blue Pea Gin - it has a periwinkle blue shade from a local flower known as the Asian pigeonwings or blue pea (Clitorea ternatea, yes, the scientific name is real..) and has hints of orange peel, lavender and cardamom. Take it straight with a slice of citrus and watch it turn into a nice shade of purple! This would make an awesome pasalubong for tourists and balikbayans who want to bring a piece of the Philippines wherever they may be in the world. Just like a legend, Alamat will stay in your collective consciousness as a go-to bar when you’d like to do a bar crawl along Don Pedro St. in Poblacion. Head next to their sister bar Agimat because I know I will.

food looks amazing, staff are lovely, the beer selection is wonderful but it’s way overpriced ... then in addition to those high prices they surprise you with adding VAT (tax). I want to give 2.5stars, but that’s not possible here.

I love when Filipino roots are honored, even if just in theme. We need more places like this. The modern takes on traditional dishes, cocktails, and craft beers are tasty. I came here for Harry Potter Trivia Night and I'm coming back for their food and drinks! Service was quick and attentive.

The place is small and cozy. Good if you want something intimate and chill that doesn't become overwhelming if there's plenty of people. Most of the drinks are averaged price for Poblacion, but there are a few menu items that can be pricey per serving. All in all a very enjoyable place. A place I will have no problems coming back to.

Really exciting riffs on Filipino classics here. I like the smallish tapas sizes, which make it possible to sample various items. The emphasis on Philippine craft beer exclusively is great, although the 12-14 offerings were mostly IPAs and lagers. Maybe the list will be more diverse next time. Funny, attentive waitstaff as well. The space is cozy, so try to avoid bringing large groups

The Taho cheesecake is nice. The combination of both the syrup and tapioca matched the creaminess of the cheesecake. We also tried the chocolate cake which we did not like. Its served warm but there's something wrong with the consistency of the cake. They have cocktails with a touch of Filipino flavors try it. There's also craft beers on tap. Enjoy Alamat with the company of your friends and unmet friends.

Food is so good! It ain’t cheap, but it’s so good. You’d really know it’s well-made the moment your tastebuds try it. They turned ordinary Filipino dishes extraordinary with modern culinary techniques. So fun to watch their mini shows when their bartender concocts drinks.

Went to Alamat on a fine saturday night. Definitely alot of people. We got several drinks and pulutan. Craft beers: Blonde ale from paranaque Kiwi fruit beer from baguio Lager beer from pampanga Dalandan juice Tamarind candy cocktail Overall all drinks are okay. For pulutan or snacks, we got the following: Indi chips with cheese dip - very good combination Slated egg chicken skin - too sinful, cant really taste the salted egg. Just normal.

Went here last night. We were enticed by the Filipino themed drinks - sisig shots, pandan g&t, etc. However, after 2 drinks it felt like there was no alcohol in our drinks. To make matters worse, we were a group of 8 cramped in one of the booth in the al fresco area. We repeatedly asked for an extra chair and the manager refused until we begged for the nth time. By the time they gave a the chair, we were fed up. This refusal was surprising because there were 4 other empty tables beside us. To add, we had an existing reservation since Monday and when I asked to add 2 more people to our original reservation, they asked for a 500/fee per head. Yet, they refused to give us a chair. Weird experience, we felt scammed. Not frequenting this bar again.

Delicious crispy sisig and malambot bistek. Very different from traditional flavors but the twist is great on both. Gulaman was also good. Service was great, and outdoor venue is safe and well-decorated. Very nice twist on modern Fil cuisine. If i were to improve one thing, bring out dishes quicker and hotter because it was almost lukewarm when we got served them.

I love the concept of this laidback pub in Poblacion. The cocktails served at this place have interesting names such as Tikbalang, Kapre Barako, Aswangria and Salabatman. What makes this place stand out from the rest is its friendly staff. Everyone knows how to keep guests happy and satisified. Most of them even know how to speak Bisaya to accommodate Bisayas like me 🍸 Highly recommended! Take note though, that the place can get crowded right away. There are only few seats available in the first floor and the rooftop area.

it is as if you are one of the extras in a locally produced films---or might as well, among the main casts. every nook and cranny of this place is adorable and it's always pregnant with possibilities. anyone can easily strike a conversation with you and won't feel violated (or maybe it's just me and my alcohol)? in the other hand, their menu is as quirky as it tastes (i can only imagine the quirkiness of their cooks themselves) i dunno if i'm making sense here as this place is bound to make you just crazy, well in a good way. me and my friends had a great time here so all i have is: LoveLoveLove

Alamat would always be one of the top of mind places for me for drinks and hanging out but they always, ALWAYS surprise me with their take on Pinoy food and so far it’s been good. Tho it takes a while for the food to arrive, it’s always been worth the wait. And it helps that they have staff that can really explain their dishes well :)

Alamat has a creative menu, delicious cocktails, friendly service and a great rooftop to people watch from. The sisig, pusit, sausage, and bagoong rice were delicious. I didn't love the pinakbet so I'd pass on that one. They also serve a variety of craft beers that we got to sample. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, as it's down to earth - not pretentious at all. Great for date night or if you just arrived in town and want a good meal. Food and drinks presentation was aesthetically pleasing. I wish that there was a place that incorporated this type of creativity into Filipino food back home.
