Small pub/restaurant, opposite of Tower hotel. Delicious food, very nice waitresses

Stepping into this German 'Kneipe' from busy Mabini St is not only like stepping into a different world entirely, it's also like stepping back in time. I have no idea if these kinds of places still exist in Germany nowadays, but it reminds of a Germany of my childhood. It's all wooden furniture, radio playing, no Wifi, no credit cars...almost unreal...it seems like this pub hasn't changed a bit in the past 25 years. Even the menu is completely old school, simple German fare, authentic enough, completely unhealthy and rather tasty. Wash it all down with nice 'Hefeweizen' and shake your head in disbelief...it's quite a brilliant, bizarre experience (for a German at least)

My absolute no 1 Restaurant in Manila. Small, rustic, feels like being back in Germany. The food and prices for what you get is excellent!

This is a quiet cozy bar, prices are fair. I always come here for one main reason.....they have really good Bicol express, my favorite Filipino food. Bicol express is not easy to find in Manila, let alone good Bicol express.

A great place to eat. food is German and delicious. Check out the daily specials u get soup salad main small desert coffee brandy. It is only a small place and little bit hard to find but worth the effort

They do Wunder in a small kitchen! The daily menu dishes are available all day and evening, as well as ala carte. Menu includes salad, pumpkin soup, main dish, coffee/tea with shot of cognac(?) as well as small dessert. About 300-400php.

In the name of cultural food diversity, eat some good German pub style Leckerbissen in the most densely populated city in the world.

Very good food at a reasonable price. Very fast response to client's requests. Waiters are smiling. Just the guard, medyo masungit si kuya. I always come here to celebrate with a group of friends. You have to call for reservation if you do not want to wait in line. The waiting line gets quite long during certain hours. Overall, i strongly recommend the place for good food, reasonable price.

For a "German" restaurant, in a not very nice neighborhood, this place delivers. In fact, this place is the only reason I go to this neighborhood. The schnitzel reminds me of my time living in Germany and they have Paulaner (in bottles). The red cabbage is excellent too, always get a side as it reminds me of my mom's cooking. If you ever find yourself in Malate don't let the outside scare you from going in and enjoying a really nice meal.
