One of the best hotels in Makati City period. Rooms and facilities are nicely maintained and cleaned even the place is a bit dated but yet aged beautifully. Staffs here are friendly and helpful. Breakfast are really nice, wide range of food and seating area are spacious enough for all guests. Due to its prime location, you can walk to any shopping malls nearby in city centre. No need to use taxi or anything.

Had a great afternoon tea, there was even live music, it was the Valentines special. A bit of a downer that we had to wait nearly 40 minutes for the afternoon tea to arrive, expected to have it a lot faster like we had in other hotels. Service is very attentive, love the discreet service button on the table, one presses and has immediately someone there

This Shangri-la has been the center of Makati! Excellent location, a diversity of excellence restaurants, good rooms and the wonderful lobby bar. Then the hotel closed! Because of CoViD? Not all Shangri-la hotels in the country closed! Now in May 2023 it is still closed! The stupid guard of the hotel told me because of pandemic!!!?? Ok, till when will you be closed or do you want to give up the hotel! Express your policies! Don’t expect that I ever will come back and look for the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We were in the top view and had an awesome view of the city! The room was huge and very nice. The hotel was a very short walk from the shopping centre and a short drive to the airport. We were unable to get a late checkout but the staff looked after our bags so we could head out before our flight home.

The accommodations were top-notch. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and meticulously clean. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room, from the plush bedding to the well-appointed bathroom, was impressive.

My stay at this hotel was very incredible. The staff were incredibly welcoming and very approachable, making sure to catered all our needs. The room is very tidy, clean, and very comforting. I also loved the great view in our hotel room. The hotel’s amenities were fantastic, i couldn’t get over with the pool and also they have a fitness center, which i totally loved. The location is very wise, it is close the popular shops and also a lot of dining around. My total experience at this hotel was absolutely delightful. I would definitely choose to stay here again with my family. I highly recommend it to someone looking for a stay.

I came here a few times on my trip to Manila. A beautiful hotel with friendly staff, beautiful decor, amazing food and cocktails, live music and more. I especially enjoyed the buffet night in the restaurant. The waitress Joy, took very good care of us.

Our stay was very pleasant. We were happy that the room was already setup for 3 when we arrived, as requested. The housekeeping staff were very accommodating. I like that safety is a priority as you always asked us for permission if someone wanted to come up to our room. The breakfast buffet at Circles was very good!

This is a true 5 star hotel in the Heart of Manila's upscale financial district. Quite pricey for a Philippine Hotel, but it provides all the luxuries of other 5 star establishments in other parts of the world. We stayed there for a week and very much enjoyed it. Then off to Hong Kong.

We had our company party on the 18th Feb in one of their halls. They did not adhere to the menu which was agreed upon. They did not replenished the food in dishes and even the salad sauces were a scarce item. Beer was served when people started leaving and not during the function. I think they reopened the hotel without having proper staff, systems or infrastructure in place. Hope they improve quickly and not spoil their reputation built over the years.

The hospitality, service, rooms AND location are incredible. The staff all provide such impeccable hospitality, from the welcoming door staff, security, to the lifeguards at the pool. I can’t stress enough how important and standout that is for me and my personal experience during my stays. My only critique is the time it takes to check in and out at the front desk and concierge- it does take a long time, especially when there’s a line. Overall, my experience was amazing and I would definitely come back. The gesture with the hand on the chest is a nice touch! And the hospitality room cleaning crew are all very friendly indeed! And speaking of our room, it was my favorite with the extra large king bed, layout and view!

This was a pretty disappointing experience. Let’s start with the good…staff was attentive and the service was very good. The hotel is beautiful and the room was nice. The problem is that all of this is negated by problems with the room. The remote for the TV didn’t work and it took three people over two days to fix it. That wasn’t even the biggest problem. The AC was stuck on 19c which was too cold and 3 engineers “fixed” it…not. No matter what temperature it was set at it was 19c. If you just turn it off it became way too hot and it was a constant back and forth of having to regulate yourself with on-off button. No offer for a different room no solution to a problem for four nights. Now on to the hotel food. There was no time to explore food outside the hotel and it was some of the worst food I’ve experienced at a high end hotel and i got sick from it. No clue how to make hollandaise sauce and eggs Benedict was served on some soggy bread not a muffin and the adobo was so salty it was not edible. A Filipino hotel that can’t make a classic Filipino dish? These are problems you expect for a cheap hotel and bad enough to lower the overall experience. Giving 3 stars is generous because it could easily have be better.

Don't expect the 5-star experience you're probably used to for the price but it's a nice hotel, not too far from the shopping centre. The room was clean and I had a good stay overall.

We were there for lunch in their second floor restaurant. The steak was rightly done. On the overall the hotel looks like they need to do more on the physical, e.g. the second floor ladies toilet needs new accessories, etc.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a night in Shangri-La, and the entire experience was magical. The only thing that compares to the hotel's magnificence is how friendly its staff is. I was immediately taken away from the bustle by the calm atmosphere that welcomed me as soon as I entered the foyer. Every interaction with the personnel revealed their meticulous attention to detail, and the check-in procedure was flawless.

Despite the pandemic, there's a fair amount of guests at the hotel. Strict health safety measures are observed. There is a sense of safety inside the rooms since no other personnel enters it during your stay. The staff as always are courteous and helpful. Of course, location is a huge factor.

The good people managing the place has done a great job maintaining and keeping the place from being too dated. The room I was in is excellent and the bathroom is huge. Noise is kept out so privacy won’t be a problem here. Smokers need not worry as the smoking place is cozy enough with shade. What I hate though is the lack of bidet for the toilet. By the way, for shoppers the location is excellent.

How is tis place getting good reviews. Staff is incompetent and te furniture needed to be recovered 10 years ago. Carpet needed to be replaced 10 years ago too. We were so disappointed to have wasted our trip at this place. It is 3 star at best and Ill post pics too.

This is a lovely Makati hotel. The rooms are fantastic. My room was amazing and the bed was extremely comfortable. They also provide umbrella readily available, which is useful in Manila. There us free high-speed Internet access available. The pool is of adequate size. There is a seating area in the lobby lounge where food is served, as well as singers and musicians who play various instruments. The gym is well-equipped. My package included breakfast that is served in the lobby restaurant Circles. Additionally, the hotel provides airport shuttle service. It is convenient to walk to nearby malls and shopping areas. It was a totally awesome experience staying in Makati ShangriLa Hotel.

Great hotel. Slightly aged but still outstanding facilities and room sizes. Price performance is definitely 5 star (I paid about $120 a night for a great high floor room). Gym is outstanding. Buffet's were good (though not cheap). The customer service was fantastic. Location is also quite good right in the heart of Makati. Probably closer to a 4-4.5 star hotel as it is just starting to get a little bit aged, but when you factor in the price performance, location, size of rooms, customer service etc... it is a 5 star rating.

Spent New Years Eve a few years ago here. I remember the center area being covered, not sure why, there was an event later that evening I think, it made the front desk area uncomfortably hot when we were checking in. Old, classical hotel, a bit worn down and outdated at the time. I remember being disappointed at the water pressure, given their 5 star hotel status and high cost.

Our first experience with Shangri la was exactly this one! We loved this hotel from the first second. We had executive room with horizon club access. The lounge itself was fine and quite small. We were waiting for seats. But the view is cool & evening snacks are also very tasty. We preferred to have breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. It was extremely huge with different cuisine. The room was very spacious, modern and with high quality amenities. Can only recommend!

Great location, within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, anything you could possibly need. Amazing service from the moment you drive into the property until the time you leave. Every person you encounter on staff is incredibly polite and helpful. We stayed in a deluxe king room and it was extremely large and comfortable. The bed was plush, there was a sitting area, a desk, a bar, a vanity, and a good-sized closet. And the bathroom was quite large. My only complaint is that the shower was small for the size of the bathroom, but it was fine. The best thing about the hotel was the restaurants housed within it! The restaurants are amazing!!! Sage (steak) was phenomenal! Amazing meat, fantastic service, just wonderful attention to detail from top to bottom. The Japanese and Chinese restaurants were excellent as well. What a wonderful surprise!
