Rating my personal experience at mantra 5 out 5! We superbly enjoyed the food and the drinks (wine, mojito, beer). Celebrated my grandfather’s 33rd death anniversary here and with most honesty, the gastronomic experience is very memorable. Furthermore, they have a great service!!!! Everyone is attentive to us / to our table. Note:Parking and payment is a breeze

My parents and I are craving for Indian food and we are happy to find this place around Makati. Staff is really nice and accommodating. Love the menu choices (appreciate the vegan options). We loved everything that we ordered (Cheese Naan, Garlic Naan, Chicken Biryani, Paneer Tika, Lamb Curry and Lassi). Serving is generous. One meal is good for 2-3 persons. Parking is available but may be limited in the street. May be on the pricier side but the quality and service makes it worth it. Highly recommended. Hopefully we'll be back soon if we visit Makati again.

This is more fine dining high class place. My dinner was abouy 1500 pesos, absolutely worth it. Nice seek kebab, maybe some more grilled vegetables had been nice. Raitan was good but maybe a little to much. Service was excellent, very polite guy and so sweet girls

Cozy ambience, quite suitable for friends and family dining. Must try their garlic naan and tandoori chicken, also their mutton curry, it's recommended.

Overall experience was ok. Nice cozy spot and parking is easy. Service was average. Ambiance was also average. Food was also average. It's quite overshadowed by Queens at Bollywood and Club United. Though Mantra is certainly better than Kashmir. But the only thing going for it is the value for money. Serving size is great. Also the paneer and mutton dishes we ordered were great. Samosa dish was also good. The Tikka masala was too sour and lacked balance and smokiness/spice/complexity. I like the use of what seems to be chicken thigh as it kept the moisture/fat of the chicken. Overall, not a big fan. But maybe we just ordered the wrong things.

Had a great time here over a Sunday evening. Mantra's location is along Bolanos street and behind the main entrance of Grand Midori. As the location is tucked in one of the CBD's less busy streets, Mantra has a nicer and more private setting than other Indian restaurants in the city. My partner and I ordered a few dishes which were recommended by the staff. I was not particularly feeling adventurous and opted for their Murgh Makhani, while my vegetarian partner tried the Broccoli Tandoori and Kadai Paneer. We found service to be very quick - food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The staff assisting our table was attentive and knowledge about the menu. The food we tried was excellent, the taste of the Butter Chicken was on point and had a unique kick/twist compared to the usual serving in other restaurants. The rest of the food we ordered was equally satisfying and my non-veg palate enjoyed it just the same. While more pricey than the average Indian restaurant, if you consider the location and the quality of the food, it's not too bad. Would like to be back another time!

I love this place!! Best Indian restaurant in Metro Manila. Reasonably priced, too! I love the butter chicken, cheese naan and lentil soup!!! 💕

We were blown away on how good the food tastes here! The plain naan bread tastes really good! Fresh, chewy dough and straight from oven, it was served piping hot! ... we had to order it twice, it was that good. Order the palak paneer! Very tasty and spicy with generous portions of cottage cheese. The chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani are amazing, rich in flavor, and your can request their staff to reduce the spice level too... please order these two dishes when you visit this resto! Can't wait to try their other dishes soon!

Ample servings.. not too strong in terms of the spices but nonetheless, still flavorful. my personal favorite is the cheese naan bread and chicken tikka masala. i also ordered sangria and it has the punch i'm looking for. big plus for the complimentary crackers.

During lockdown, we order food for comfort and convinience. This is what mantra sends to u for 255 peso plus vat and hour of wait. 38 years is my age and have travelled enough and eaten enough to be called a foodie in my circle. One of the worst experience by far... I wish google had a rating of 0

One of the best butter naan I’ve ever had! And the Mutton Pepper Fry was amazing! Nice chilled-out ambience. A good place to unwind after a long day. Also, I went there pretty late in the evening -around 9:30pm. They were very welcoming and did not rush me at all. I had to ask what time they close and coax it out of them because I didn’t want to be holding up their closing. So, yeah - amazing service too!

The food looked great but when my wife and I went to eat there, more than half their dining room was empty and they told us everything was reserved. Even the bar when we asked about that. They offered a table but it was exceptionally hot outside and we wanted a place to cool off. They lost out on our business sadly.

I really love the food and I give it 5 stars. Th3 establishment can probably upgrade the lighting inside and outside as ot kinda bright and very even. Would be nice to dim the lights so as to enhance the atmosphere.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Mantra! We were immediately drawn to the charming and welcoming ambiance of the restaurant, and the food, drinks, and service continued to impress us. We started off with drinks which were not only beautifully presented but also tasted great! Our favorites were the Sidhartha and the Buko Pandan Cooler. With many traditional dishes and even some with a modern twist, there were plenty of options to choose from, even as a vegetarian. All of the food was served hot and fresh, and the green pea tikki and kur kuri bindhi were to die for! I had never seen unique dishes like these before; they are a must try at Mantra! On top of that, the paneer tikka was some of the best I have ever had across many different Indian restaurants in various countries. I highly recommend a visit to Mantra while in Manila!

Absolutely fabulous food and ambience. Being a vegetarian, while overseas, I have often struggled to find many veg options that everyone that I am dining with wants to eat. This was not the case at Mantra. The kur kure bindi was delicious. The bindi arrived hot and was extremely crispy and flavorful. Although it was initially ordered as a veg option, everyone in our group had seconds. Additionally, the dal makhani was so authentic and well done; it was by far the one of the best dal makhani dishes that I have eaten. I can say with confidence, having eaten in countless Indian restaurants, that Mantra is the pinnacle of Indian food done well.

Excellent food and service at Mantra - was highly impressed with its balance of modern and traditional Indian cuisine. We visited on a busy night. Let me just say that I have eaten in several Indian restaurants overseas, and Mantra is probably the best restaurant, serving the most authentic and high quality Indian food outside of India, that I have ever eaten in. The naans and rotis were crispy, freshly made, hot, and delicious. The green pea tikkis were a definite favorite, and the paneer tikkas are by far the best that I have eaten. The butter chicken was tangy and tender. My daughter also commented that the Siddhartha cocktail was the best cocktail that she has ever had. We will definitely dine at Mantra again and recommend it to all who visit Manila.

Excellent, large portions, good value Tikka Masala is spicy compared to usual fare, popular with local full this evening and good service. White wine by the glass is a bargain for good Spanish Rioja my second visit and won’t be the last well done Mantra

Authentic! Very accommodating and courteous staff! Reservations can be done easily thru fb messenger. They reply quick too. Would love to go back and try the other dishes. Love the food👍👍👍

  • 4/5 Andrew D. 1 year ago on Google
Great food. Very tasty Indian flavors. It has a good sized menu with both vegetarian and meaty dishes. From the many times we’ve ordered from here, there doesn’t seem to be any weak spots on the menu. So forget what everyone else says to order, or sticking to what’s “popular”. I say, branch out, try something new. All the dishes will be tasty. Many folks believe this is the best set of Indian restos in Manila and I agree. If you like the cuisine, this will hit the spot. It’s a nice location too. Cozy but can get loud due to resonant acoustics. Service is moderate at best, mediocre at worst.

I loved everything about the restaurant. The food, the drinks, ambience and the service! Their aachari chicken tikka is perfect in taste, it’s juicy and tangy. Dal Makhni is one of best I’ve had in Manila, just the right amount of creaminess and so full of flavour! Also Mutton pepper fry is super juicy, soft and flavourful. They serve tandoori roti so it was a bonus!

Great indian food in Manila, I never missed indian food while I was away at Manilla. The owner of this place is a great guy, quite reserved in nature , but he surely cares about Indian guests, thumps up bro. But service staff are locals and very rude to indian customers, not sure why..they are like that ..shame on them..
