the place has a distinct chinese reataurant feel comparable to other chinese places. i really love the food there and the service was fast! unlike other restos where you are asked to wait for 20-25minutes, but here all our orders arrived in less than 15mins! the waiters were polite and always smiled while serving. we will be coming back again to dine here!

Located near Rizal park, nice choice after long walking and big hunger. Portion really big - normally for chine restaurant, price is good. For me unusual and really tasty Sweet & Sour Pork new experience! Service is friendly and quick, I hope to visit that place again soon.

We came back here! It is now with new management and the food is the same! In less than 10-15min food was served. Ambiance is still the same, with the restroom a bit cleaner and placed some bidets. Parking is limited outside and make sure that you ask the security and attendant to look after your vehicle, and give some tips. We would recommend the pepper spare ribs, roast chicken, fried squid, cuapao and fried rice. Hope they would have a branch near the south area.

Servings are small and pitiful. They changed their older staff with younger staff and the new ones are inefficient. Food is still delicious but the servings are not worth coming back to. I bought my favorite birthday noodles for my mom and they even scrimped on the amount of noodles

Great spot for Hong Kong style Chinese in Roxas Boulevard! ❤️ The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. Emerald Restaurant is Chinese food restaurant which offers healthy and tast Chinese food to the Capital Region. We had great choices of noodles & dumplings. We will definitely come back. 👍👍

This place is located along the hotel areas of Roxas Boulevard. Recommended for group dinners, as the servings are huge. At first glance, you'd think it's pricey, but considering the serving size, it's actually quite reasonable. The food is typical Chinese, very filling. We actually like everything we ordered, though it's not really much because there were only two of us. Was just thankful they have an area for couple diners (about a few tables), because the rest of the tables (a huge part of the restaurant) are meant to serve groups.

We had lunch at Emerald Garden and the place was well attend. We were hoping to order their Emerald Siopao but they ran out of it. We ended up ordering their Asado Siopao had an even filling but I found the bun too dry. The dimsum was ok, not one of those dishes I’d go back for. I recommend their dumplings (Php 185) it’s bigger and “siksik” compared to their other dimsums. Their Steamed Chicken (Small Php 225) was also dry too like it was sitting at the counter for a long time. But despite having several serves on call that day. It took forever to get our order, served it and get our bill. I just wish they’ll be able to have a more systematic way of attending to their customers. I also noticed that place wasn’t maintained well.

The tradition goes on. The OLD Emerald Garden is NOW Emerald. Under new management, but same menu. Kung Pao Chicken is the only food I didn't like. The dumplings are just ok. Pork Siomai and Sharks Fin is ok. Their Hakaw shrimp dumpling uses crushed shrimp with extenders and not a whole shrimp. The taste is just ok. Jumbo Siopao is a must try, for experience purposes. It's really big. The taste is also ok. The pork spare ribs will be a good choice and the camaron as well. Even though the restaurant was full, their service is quite good. We were attended properly.

They're open early! It's a perfect healthy affordable breakfast lunch dinner place for anyone HUNGRY. The servings are plenty and delicious! I cant say anything terrible about it, hmmm except maybe for most of its table are for large groups. So there's a queue most of the time. The waiters have been here forever and they know the menus in and out so sometimes it's easier to just ask them what to eat.

I mostly like the dishes with vegetables like Beef Brocolli and Fish Hot Pot. Although I have to be biased with the Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Pork as they are my picks: The Fried Rice was not that goo, as compares to other Chinese Restaurant Franchises like Causeway and Hap Chan. I didn't like the Sweet and Sour Pork that much because of the addition of tomato chunks, that just doesn't go with the dish.

The food came out very fast. Staff was fast to bring drinks to the table. Food came out as it was ready. Family style dinning so this was ok. Food was placed on a turn table. We are here 2 times in two days. We will go back next trip thats for sure.

Under new management - but still the same dishes aficionados of Emerald Garden have come to love. Just an update on the restaurant - no longer has free parking so you'll have to pay P50 to park across the street. Last orders taken at 830pm as of Feb 2022 under Alert Level 2. Just flash your vax cards so no questions asked. And their popular siopao - good luck with that by dinner time. They're normally sold out by then. Just a guide - not cheap here for first timers. For our first visit after 2+ years, we spent over P6k for 8 people.

Soy sauce lapu lapu was the bomb! 🎉 Salt n pepper shrimp was ok, did not look appetizing, seemed cooked in old oil. Yang chow fried rice was a fail, dry and tasted bland. Siopao and most dimsums were not available anymore. 😤 Overall this resto maintain its strength on big group dining at good value.

The food doesn’t taste good, it’s either overcooked or has a bland taste. Only saving Grace is their jumbo siopao. If I’m only rating the jumbo siopao, I’ll give it a 5 star rating. The servers aren’t attentive, we ordered iced tea and steamed dimsum they gave lemonade and fried dimsum. Data (globe) is so slow and they don’t have a Wi-Fi so if you need to be connected, not ideal to eat here. Food Rating: Jumbo Siopao - 10/10 *Enormous treat for the price of 140 Pork Siomai - 7/10 *I can taste that it’s still frozen Fried Dumpling - 7/10 *It’s okay Scallop Fried Rice with White Egg - 5/10 *Cant taste the scallop, no wok taste, it’s like an ordinary fried rice Hot Prawn Salad - 2/10 * Presentation wise it looks good, but it’s not. Salad is a bit frozen and taste bland Chicken Feet - 7/10 *it’s okay but luk Yuen is better. not in the photo coz we took it out.

Their food is good, large portions and dimsum comes to the table steaming hot! The jumbo siopao is a must try with five different fillings inside - asado, chicken, meatballs, chorizo and salted egg. The bun is soft and fluffy comes with sauce that has a five spice flavor. It is a fairly good size restaurant, clean and dining has seats for different sized groups though sometimes it’s a bit very crowded. This is a must try restaurant if you're in the area.

Since 2015, my family would always dine here whenever there's an occassion. In this last visit, it's a birthday celebration of my mom. We ordered pumpkin soup, which tasted really good. Shrimp ball is a must try, we never fail to order that. Yangchow rice lover, as always. Almond jelly, not in the pic, is also our family's favorite dessert. Good thing, the resto doesnt charge a fee for bringing outside food (cake).

The place was easy to find and parking was a breeze. The interior looks quite new. The food was delicious and serving size was alright, we even had some left over for take out. My favorites were the cream of corn with crab meat, chicken with salted egg, and spareribs. For a group of 7, our bill amounted to 4,500.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by your friendly staff and the ambiance of the restaurant was simply amazing. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes and everything I ordered was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. The ingredients used were fresh and high quality, and it really showed in the taste. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and making sure that I had everything I needed throughout the meal. I also appreciated the recommendations they gave me when I was unsure of what to order. Overall, I would highly recommend your restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere truly made my visit memorable. Thank you for such a fantastic experience and I look forward to dining with you again soon.

Our recent visit to Emerald Garden left us feeling disappointed and regretful. Unfortunately, we found that the restaurant did not live up to its previous standards. The food quality was notably subpar, lacking the flavors and freshness that we had come to expect. Additionally, we were taken aback by the high prices, which seemed disproportionate to the quality and taste of the dishes. As returning customers, we had hoped for a similar experience to our previous visits. However, the overall decline in food quality and the inflated prices made us question the value of our dining experience. It is disheartening when a once-enjoyable establishment fails to maintain its standards. Regrettably, based on our recent experience, we have made the decision that we will not be returning to Emerald Garden. We sincerely hope that the management takes these concerns into consideration and works towards improving the food quality and price competitiveness to regain the trust and satisfaction of their customers.

Considered as a culinary institution in the Filipino Chinese community, this restaurant has been around for about 30 odd years and has been the venue for many weddings. They serve dimsum as well as regular Chinese food which they make very well. Parking is difficult though there's plenty of space inside for people. I recently ate here and I feel the quality has dipped a little though it's still good and offers excellent value for money.

  • 4/5 Michael R. 4 years ago on Google
Reliable consistent good taste that I enjoy coming back to even if I don't visit for months at a time. The menu is generous in its selection, but my go to is a run of their dimsum selections, some fried rice, and then some soup. It's a great meal shared with friends. Of course the real star is the thing that always runs out, breaking the hearts of many who come over just to eat it: the special bola bola siopao. It's the one to end all versions of it. A meal into its own, it has everything and comes in a great size. Come as early as you can, because too often lunch is too late if you want to catch this special bun.

Service is really ok. But I think the chef is really not the same one, because the food tastes really different from what we used to eat. We order hot sour soup - lacks previous ingredients tastes like those already cooked sa mga walk in eatery. Fried pigeon - dry. Spareribs in salt n pepper- grabe sunog ang garlic n di spareribs but liempo deep fried tastes more like fried meat but walang tastes w/o the vinegar. Ground pork with lettuce parang giniling ng hindi masyadong marunong magluto. BUT their SIOPAO TOPS IT. NO CHANGE IN TASTE, REALLY DELICIOUS EVEN W/O ANY SAUCE. MY FRIENDS LIKE THEIR MALAY KO TOO. HOPE THEY IMPROVE THEIR COOKING COZ THEY AIN'T GOOD ENOUGH .
