We've been to this place a few times over the past few years. Prior to the pandemic, they used to have a buffet option - which is what we would get so we could try a little of everything they have to offer. Now that's no longer an option, so we ordered up a few of their house specialty dishes. The Paella Valenciana was flavorful as expected. However what it lacked was the burned underside - the "tutong" - which I really like. It gave me the impression that the Paella was not cooked in the paellera it was served in as there wasn't a single scorch mark on the bottom of the pan. Anything with garlic is laden with crunchy brown garlic bits which have no hint of bitterness whatsoever indicating that they are perfectly done. That was evident in the Gambas Al Ajillo and Sopa de Ajo. For garlic-lovers out there, you may want to try these dishes. Overall, anything they marked as a house specialty is definitely worth trying. The next time I'm back here, I will specifically ask that they burn the paella a bit (if possible) as that was the one thing that I can say failed my expectation.

They've accepted us even in the last hour. Served good quality hot dinner rolls. Gracious hosts I'd give 5-stars for their service. Excellent Paella Marinera, Croquet and Mixed Vegetables. Good serving size for the price in everything we have ordered. I'd give 5-stars for food. Good ambiance I wish they had better lighting. But in terms of food they served everything hot and fresh. They also have these Christmas Giveaway baskets full of preserved meats, wine and Quezo de Bola at 3500. Serves desserts and coffee. Consider Alba as an honest fine dining restaurant. With a humble consideration for PWD'S and Senior Citizens on discounts. We'd be back to try other meals and custom made preserved meats.

We (couple) ordered the paella negra and tabla de embutidos. The paella negra is delicious and is almost the same as I remember it taste like back when I had it in Spain. Only their version has too much sauce. I have nothing to compare the tabla de embutidos because I have not been able to taste the same kind before. But it does taste like a treat for my palate. I could not ask for more about the ambiance. Overall, an authentic Spanish dinner experience (especially if you're having dinner 9pm onwards).

The buffet isnt as same as before, there is no lengua or salpicao. They raised the prices, but reduced the offerings. Protip: if you want to eat their famous chorizo, be there early, they put a sizeable amount of chorizo on the paella, the next batch, dont expect to see any chorizo on it anymore. Hehehe. They also reduce the ingredients on the succeeding batches of paella. You've been warned. In conclusion, the price increase ain't worth it unless they bring out the bestsellers, like before

Alba is one of the older restos along Morato Ave. In my opinion, they are one of the best when it comes to spanish cuisine. Tried their Salchichas appetizer and it was flavorful. The Paella Valenciana was cooked just right. The Lengua Sevillana was very palatable. Service wise, the waiters were very courteous and attentive to our needs. Highly recommended!

Situated strategically at Mekati at No. 38-B Polaris Street. The Salchichas Con Champignon and Menestra De Legumbres side dishes and the Paella Valenciana as main dish are of the right size for 3 pax. Acceptable authentic taste that are neither too salty nor sweet, with slightly mild taste. Highly recommended place for those wanting Spanish food. Ambient is set up with wooden layout with European decor with romantic color and flavour. Ideal for an anniversary / birthday / family gathering.

First time to try Alba and it was a pleasant experience altogether. They serve complimentary bread here. I just had to try something healthy and their Coca de Berenjenas y Puerro surprised me. However, Albondigas de Pollo was kind of cold when it was served but tastes heavenly and comforting. Alba has a lovely interior & first-class service.

First time to try this restaurant. Paella is good as expected. They have complimentary bread for starters. I forgot the name of the fish dish that we ordered but it's too salty for my taste.

We ordered a lot but these were my favorites, especially the chorizo goodness I can still taste it in my mouth and oh, the gambas pa pala! I love the richness of the pumpkin soup. And the convenience of Alba's location is just great (easy to find parking, haha) We really had a great time here.

Place is cozy and conveniently situated. Paella and callos is great. Staff is accommodating. Everything would have been great except for the rest room... But anyway we had a great time 😃

The place is quiet and dainty. From the security guard to the waiters on the floor, everyone was very respectful and very accommodating. I especially liked the squash soup and iced tea, I would recommend you have the soup as your starter. Gambas were delish, who would go wrong with shrimp? :) Do not forget to squeeze the lime on your paella, it gives the perfect twist to the dish!

You need to try their lunch Buffet under 1,000 pesos. Most of their specialties are included. Tapas, Lechon, Fish and the dessert section is delicious. Plus they have free WiFi!

Loved their food, great paella dishes with rich and fresh ingredients. I always love a good potaje (potage, thick soup) and their hearty bowl of tomato-garbanzos soup is just perfect. We were here for Sunday luncheon and the place is packed. It's best to secure a reservation when you plan to go during peak hours and bring a lot patience when looking for a parking spot. Overall, Alba offers great food and wonderful dining experience.

Alba has been here for decades and its charm still remains. Their ingredients are of great quality. Paella negra and gambas al ajillo are my favorite here! Their selection of Spanish food are extensive and all tastes satisfyingly authentic, well except for their desserts. Not all of their postres are a delight. Still, five stars for Alba for great Spanish food and attentive waitstaff.

Great service and great food. Despite the pandemic, everything I ordered tasted fresh. Service was great. They're also available for delivery on Grab.

We tried two paella dishes, and both were good! Servings and prices are reasonable. The spice level is fine but if you're quite sensitive to spicy foods I suggest you tell the waiter to ask the cook to tone it down a bit.

Food is great, authentic Spanish tapas. I don't like the servers, decades ago the staff weren't that nice either. Better find a better HR team, and improve on a better service.

  • 3/5 Dina M. 4 years ago on Google
There is an air of sophistication in the place and nice ambiance. The staff are very efficient and always ready to help. The price is moderately expensive for me. You can go for their buffet or also order separate meals. They have a space for small functions. They also have frozen and preserved goods that you can order for take away. In our visit we availed of their lunch buffet as celebration for my friend's birthday. It wouldn't be my 1st place in mind if I would pay the bill since it's 800+ for a limited buffet options. For me value for money is inportant.

I love the ambiance here. I give 5 stars for the hot rolls they serve it was really delicious. The paella unfortunately wasn't impressive, but they serve their food with care. And the servers were alert. They do add 10% service charge to the bill.

I had dinner in Alba a few days ago, because I had to clear my head and I wondered if a paella and a glass of wine would do the trick. Loved the interiors, loved the servers, loved the food. Definitely one of the best restos I've tried recently.

  • 5/5 Jonas Ashley C. 8 months ago on Google
I've been eating at this restaurant throughout my life, and they still taste good. The only thing that changes through the years is the price. You do get your money's worth even if you pay a premium for it. Even with the passing of Alba Senior God, rest his blessed soul, I'm happy that they are still able to maintain the quality of their dishes. To sum up, It's a good place for special occasions. Expect to pay premium for their regular menu, even more if you intend to go for their buffet (note. Lunch and dinner are priced differently, 1100 for lunch, and 1200 for dinner per person). Dinner is slightly more expensive as it has more to offer compared to lunch. Buen Provecho!

Authentic Spanish cuisine. One of the better paellas and canonigos in MMla.

  • 3/5 Aurora Y. 5 months ago on Google
Just the right amount of food for buffet. Good taste. Would have been better if the food temperature is monitored. Servers are nice and attentive, they change cuttleries as they take out used plates from the table.

  • 5/5 Travelling A. 5 months ago on Google
The canonigo was ravaged at the party that Alba catered. And the naked eggplant was to die for. So was the paella.

  • 4/5 Victor Y. 3 months ago on Google New
Drop by to take out their canonigo cake its like brazo de mercedes. Well texture is good even refrigerated for 2 days. I just hope they cut the sweetness of arninal or the condensed.

The food was great. Loved the Vaca Asado, it was very tender. Pumpkin soup was delicious. Wished they had cheese to go wtih the crackers. The lengua and callos were nice as well. Pasta, a little dry. The paella was like how I remebered it a few years back. The only downside was that they forgot about my reservation, the night prior. Everything else, was great.
