DO VISIT THIS! You would have a lovely experience. My aunties and mom did not expect it to be so modern and beautiful. Just show them your ID, walk ins are allowed. Had a wonderful time at National Museum of Natural History. So many exciting displays and facts to discover!

We had so much fun and aha moments during our visit! Staffs are welcoming. I enjoyed the Marine part of the museum! When visiting, I suggest to start from the basement, take the elevator (which gives you a great view of the open in the middle of the museum) up to the 4th floor then start exploring until the first floor. The best part? Admission is free! Have a great time!

Another must-visit destination when in Manila. And just like with the National Museum of Fine Arts, entry is free! The museum is more geared toward younger audiences, so it's a great place for families to visit. That said, the museum has so many interesting things on display that everyone can find an exhibit or two they will truly appreciate and enjoy. The Crocodile and Sperm Whale skeleton exhibits were such a sight to behold. During our visit, certain parts of the museum (e.g., the Tree of Life) were still under renovation, so we weren't able to fully explore the place. Will definitely go back.

The national museum of the Philippines is actually distributed across three buildings but the natural history museum is the most popular as it's got the tree of life which is an impressive elevator shaft in a large hall. It's got 5 levels with ramps for wheelchairs. One of the most popular exhibits is Lolong which was the largest crocodile in captivity in the world.

A must-visit museum in the metro!!! They have six different levels, and it’s best to allot at least 30 minutes each. (Although only five levels are accessible when we went.) There is so much to see and learn from! Most popular attractions: -The sperm whale model -Lolong -The “Tree of Life” centerpiece I can say this is the most visually appealing museum in Manila, in terms of architecture and collection. It even gives me Singapore vibes. The best part? It’s free! Make sure to bring a copy of your vaccination card. Other museums are close: The National Museum of Anthropology and The National Museum of the Philippines. Make it worthwhile and visit both!

Hands-down one of the best and newest national museums I have been into. It is located within the Luneta Park complex in Manila, Philippines. The best part of it these days is that there is no entrance free. Just make sure you bring your vaccination card and valid ID with you. You are not allowed to take videos or bring backpacks inside, but do not worry because they have a courtesy booth near the main entrance where you could leave your things safely. Although there are some sections/rooms still not accessible to the public, the multilevel displays and exhibits would take you at least 2 hours to go through them. The masterpiece/centerpiece of the museum is the "Tree of Life" in the main atrium, a graceful sculptural, architectural structure. Very highly recommended to go visit!

It's a beautiful museum inside and out. It showcases a lot of the country's natural features/characteristics. Most notable were the fossils that showed how big some creatures were. There were a few displays that I thought were not very well-made, but those were only a minority. Good for around 2 hours of perusing. Best of all, admission is free.

I've been wanting to see this for so long. Grabbed the chance the last time I was in Manila and it did not disappoint. There were a lot of students roaming around perhaps as part of a group/field trip so it got a little bit busy/rowdy. But you'll still have spaces where you can appreciate what they've laid out. Got to see taxidermy of some of the unique animals/species from PH. There were also samples of plants from all over the archipelago which were well preserved and were kept even after WW2. Comfort rooms were also well kept and clean. Kudos to the museum management for keeping all these for the future generations. Well worth the effort to go there. You get to learn and appreciate our history better and the best part is that you can do this for free! :)

The Natural History Museum is part of the several building complexes that are administered by the National Museum of the Philippines. In it is housed the collection of flora and fauna that can be found within the archipelago. Other exhibits also include the geological composition which is extant in our country. Entrance is free for the viewing public.

Easy online booking. Free parking at the frontage of Museum of Anthropology and just walk a few minutes to this museum. Free entrance. Just present your vaccination cards and valid IDs. You will also have to register at the app “Stay Safe PH” for CoViD contact tracing. Bags will have to be checked in. You can take pictures (DON’T use flash). Staff are helpful and courteous. Toilets are clean with tissues and soap. It has ramps that are a good way of going up or down floors. Well lit areas are helpful in seeing the beautiful displays. A must visit.

An essential and interesting place to visit to give a glimpse of the past to remind and reminesce the future. It has several areas with organized collection of artifacts and historical specimens. Many important and valuable attractions are safely in placed. Beautiful architecture, models, and work of arts.

Planning to go on a museum date? Include the Natural Museum of Natural History on your list! Witness exhibits, preserves, specimens, etc., and appreciate the unique cultural heritage of the Filipinos as well as the Philippines' natural history. The staff is very welcoming. Take note that you need to bring and present at least one valid ID or your student ID and leave your belongings at the guard's house upon entry. Please wear comfortable footwear if planning to visit. ADMISSION IS FREE! My college friends and I had so much fun during our visit. We also captured a lot of cute moments together, it was worthwhile! During the time of our visit, it so happened that 2 to 3 schools were having the museum as a destination for their field trip. That is why we started from top most floor level down to the basement to avoid the crowd and be more engaged with an appreciation of the museum. You can take the stairs but the museum already has an elevator. Comfort rooms can be found near the elevators and are very clean.

For those who are wondering if it's free, you're right! Admission is free. The museum accepts walk-in visitors but they require an advance booking for groups of 20 persons and above according to their Facebook page. Don't forget to bring your vaccination card and valid ID. It was a great experience. It took us more than two hours to explore the whole area at a fast pace.

If you have some time in Manila come here! It is a free museum and quite interesting. You can store your luggage safely at the entrance at a guarded storage. The elevator to the top is beautiful and you should go from top to bottom. The only critique I have is that the taxidermy is not that good, but otherwise the museum was interesting and informative. Time well spent.

The experience is great. I like how the exhibits are arranged (by ecosystem type). We did start at the top floor to avoid most people but the exhibit on naturalists at the second floor is a good place to start too. There are lots of explanations (in both English and Filipino) to make sense of the exhibits. The pull-out cabinets containing specimens are also a nice touch. On top of it all, the entrance is free of charge. It is closed on Mondays so plan your trip accordingly.

Interesting big museum about the Philippines' natural history. Good reception, lovely place, free entry, clean toilets on every floor, and air-conditioned. A lot of things and information you can learn. It's worth visiting for the whole family.

This museum is found near Rizal Park. The easiest way to get here is by LRT line 1. Get down on U.N Ave station and walk a little bit towards Rizal Park. Also, it has free entrance so you can a little queue. But overall it's a nice piece of experience. This Museum is dedicated to Natural History. There two other buildings, National Museum of Anthropology and National Museum of Fine Arts. They are all near to each other. They close at 5pm and is open from Tuesdays-Sundays.

The place was a great place for taking pictures especially the ceiling, it's so pretty! I learn some things by reading and seeing the preserved animals and replicated places. I highly recommend to go here, unfortunately there are activities that is not available for safety purposes I think. We booked thru online because it is necessary due to pandemic and they can only accomodate 100 people I think not sure though and there are 2 session afternoon (1-4pm) and morning (9am-12pm).

The National Museum of Natural History (Filipino: Pambansang Museo ng Likas na Kasaysayan) is the national natural history museum of the Philippines and was opened in 2018. It is located along the Agrifina Circle in Rizal Park, Manila. Its collection includes botanical specimens, and geology and zoology exhibits. The building was constructed as the Agriculture and Commerce Building in 1940. It is designed in neoclassical style by Filipino Architect Antonio Toledo in the late 1930, having the same dimension and floor plan as its twin building located at the northern side of the circle, the Finance Building. Both buildings were destroyed in the Battle of Manila during World War II. It was updated by the design of from Dominic Galicia Architects and interior designer Tina Periquet. Galicia's design involved the maintenance of the building's facade except for the addition of a glass domed supported by a double helix structure which was inspired from DNA. The dome and supporting structure was dubbed as the "Tree of Life" and will cover the courtyard of the six-storey building. Also this is where you can find and see the skeletal remains of Lolong - ones the world's largest crocodile in captivity.

The museum was aesthetically pleasing. It has different interior compared to other two(antro and fine arts) Artifacts was preserved well. I love how the animals was taxidermied properly to look so realistic. Strict museum rules were applied as well. It is recommended to visit during weekdays, to avoid too much crowd.

From ammonites and stalagmites to animals that have undergone taxidermy, this museum has lots of exhibits. The biology is wide too. They have animals and plants from land, marine, and air. The whole building is well air-conditioned and there are restrooms on all floors. There isn't much parking space so if you'd like to visit with a car, it's better to go here on a weekday. As of August 20, 2022, the entrance fee was still free. I'm not sure until when. Drinks and food aren't allowed inside the museum but you can leave them on the baggage counter. Big bags aren't allowed inside too. Best to just bring a carry bag.

This museum is world-class! The building itself was the most impressive part of my visit to the Museum. Interesting and clever architectural design. There are restrooms in every corner of every floor, with air conditioner and attendants. The ramps were PWD-friendly. Best of all, entrance is FREE making this museum accessible to all Filipinos. I highly recommend everyone to visit this place.

This museum of natural history has an incredible architecture, and it's good to see that they're renovating the whole area. (It needed it) Inside, you can find many nice exhibitions, some not so much, but it's already great considering the Philippines is still developing. The galleries are well thought of, and I think it's only a question of time before the museum becomes a little bit more interactive. I recommend visiting it if you're in Manila. However, be mindful when walking around the area as there are many pickpockets. Hopefully, this changes in the near future.

Recommended for Manila visits with your kids or kids at heart. There are lots of interesting things here that will everyone enjoy minimum of 2 hours to maximize your visit but the Museum does not have any time restriction you can even stay all day. Don't worry about bringing too many bags since they have baggage counter. Comfort rooms are also very clean and can be found every floor. No food sold inside the museum and I think it's also not allowed to eat.

If you’re in Manila on a budget, this is a must do for you! Getting in is free! There’s 5 floors of exhibits! Prepare to spend a few hours here! There’s a ramp for wheelchairs. Lots of exhibits have interactive elements, so I think it would be great to take children here! But even for adults, this is a great place to learn about the Philippines and about Earth’s different biomes.

Excellent museum. Laid out in a beautiful building. Free to enter. Well laid out displays and a bit of surprise around every corner. On certain floors you can see off exhibit specimens hiding behind darkened glass. I bet there is some amazing stuff in those rooms. Huge drawers in almost all display floors full of specimens. Great spot for art students or biology students to see a very large collection in a small space. Favorite floor? Sea creatures or land mammals in their simulated natural habitats. Had fun. Would visit again. Worth the time.

Divided into several floors, collects the history of the fauna and flora of the Philippines. There are many statues such as snakes, monkeys, crocodiles that make the visit suitable even for younger children. In addition there are several installations with which you can interact. Very nice, clean. vote 9/10

Proud to be Filipino! This museum showcased the creativity & intelligence of Filipinos in regards to education. No wonder Filipino Teachers are everywhere... Although I have seen only half of it since we entered the museum in its last 30 minutes before closing, I was amazed and exceeded my expectation! It's not the old-school museum that I've seen when I was young, it looks international! It reminds me if Europe Museums that I have visited too... Most of all, it's free interactive a fun-filled activity to learn the natural history in our country! It's my first time to know the variety of sea creatures & forestry that we have in our country, it comes with real looking image and description of its parts as well! I'm looking forward to me to bring my family as well and to continue my escapade as I learn everything they have prepared there. A must-see museum!

I've been wanting to go on a field trip for so long since we started homeschooling due to the pandemic, and finally we got to do it. For the first field trip I organized as a homeschooler, I took my kids to the National Museum of Natural History. Entrance is free. Just bring valid IDs and vaccination cards. Unvaccinated individuals are not allowed to enter. Best to go here in the late afternoon, so there will be lesser crowds. Walk-ins are welcome. But if you are a large group, call in advance and arrange for a guide. Wear casual but decent clothes. Do not wear anything revealing. Big bags, drinks, and food are not allowed. The museum was very spacious and clean. It is also air-conditioned, but since there are lots of spotlights, it gets hot inside. Bring a rechargeable fan, bring towels, wear your most comfortable shoes and clothes. Restrooms are available in every floor, toilet paper, hand soap and handy dandy water dipper are available. I recommend that you start from top to bottom. Ride the elevator at the lower ground floor, then go to the 6th floor and start your adventure there going down. Enjoy and have fun learning!

I went here on a Tuesday, as it was closed during Mondays like any other national museum in the Philippines. I love that it's free, no entrance fee and just a valid ID is required. There's not even a dress code so it's very inclusive. Mind you there are 5 floors filled of artifacts and pieces of history. So be ready for a lot of walking and standing. What's just annoying is when there are functions held in the museum. They will close off an entire section to the public. So it's a downer if you just have that day to go visit.

The Filipino History was told so beautifully in these paintings and sculptures. There is so much to see in 4 floors, and it's a plus that you only need to provide an ID card. No fee to enter. There are a lot of school trips taking place here, so it's not the best for quiet activities.

The Tree of Life elevator architecture at the center of the Museum is the most amazing thing to see but aside from that The elevator goes to the fifth floor and you can visit a lot of exhibits about the Philippines geology, topology, biology and anything nature related. I live the marine life ocean exhibit especially the submarine. Free entrance , no dress code , one ID for you and your companion to register at the entrance. Wheelchair can be borrowed for the elderly to enjoy all exhibit it's free just leave an ID and return after use. Watch this: https://youtu.be/WxXXpNgPYXk?si=MpnDVSVbmSiCdIbM

Great place to bring kids and people of all ages. We were a bit disappointed though that the T-Rex fossil display is no longer there as posted in their webpage (2018). I highly suggest that they update info of highlighted attractions on their webpage. But still appreciated the beautiful architecture of the museum and what was on display overall.

First of all, the entrance is free, you just need to show a valid ID. Second, if you're carrying backpacks or other big bags, you need to deposit it at the entrance. Also no water bottles inside. Thrid, if you want to go to every room or section or floor of the museum, you'll need at least 3hrs to got tghrough all of it. Note that it has 5 floors of exhibition. And lastly, this is a Great place as You get to see some of our natural history. It is also a great place for having a sightseeing date. If you like learning, you will enjoy going here. If you come just to see, you'll still be able to enjoy your time here.

National museum is really great, fun, amazing, and learning a lot of things. During my childhood I've used to be tease of a tarsier because of my eyes, though is not really big I guess. But when I saw a big photo on the wall on it in museum, I remember those time l cry, I fought, and I isolated myself from those bully. Then, I can't help myself to smile and watch it. It's one of the reason why I'm strong enough to fight any obstacles in life now.☺️

Contains a lot of historical things which can help in some researches in school, some of the facilities are engaging and you can even use the equipment on the place. A great place for spending your free time. Plus a great place for people who likes photography and stuff

The answer to the question "where do our taxes go?" Entrance is free. For a government maintained building, this was a surprise. If you want to bring your child for an educational tour, this is one of the highly recommended places to go! It's 6 floors, but the main ramp makes it more accessible to everyone, even for persons in need of assistance. Artifacts are will maintained and there is plenty to know more about the world through this museum. Façade is good for photos. Staff is helpful, but pretty rare to come by. Prepare to walk around A LOT if you decide to come for a tour.

I'm glad there's a place for data & informatiom on our Philippine Nature But the place was a direct copy + paste of info found in books and in nature. Everything u see here can be now placed aesthetically on the web. Also, what about preserving real nature? This place makes me feel that THE REAL MUSEUM IS OUT THERE. Suggestion: Use the museum to engage with society instead of just this boring display. Also provide better access in terms of parking and public tranapo. This public entity still feels privitized as if going to a conquistador's home.

Easier way to get there: for Grab drop offs, better to pin it on Children’s play ground. Entrance is just right across instead of walking from Anthropology all the way to natural history bldg. This is a gem. They preserved and maintained the museum so well. Security, entrance and cleanliness along with the building temperature’s really nice and clean. Avoid wearing high heeled shoes. Ma’am, it’s a 5-storey museum. Avoid bringing big bags, they only allow sling ones. The rest, you can leave at the baggage counter. 10/10. Exceptional

Wow! That's my initial review. :) It makes me proud to have a museum of this caliber in our country. It can be compared to museums in other countries which are flocked by tourists. I just hope they can maintain it very well as the years go by so future generations can learn about our natural history as a Filipino people. The museum is interactive. There are dome like glass in front of every screen that have sensors and start playing videos and explaining each display/gallery. My grade six daughter really learned a lot going around this museum. And this is free to all Filipinos. A good place to bring your kids and educate them on our heritage as a people.

Definitely a must see! It has got a lot of potential but still very much rough at the edges. Not all the exhibits are open and the ones that are need more polish and consistency. Overall, it's a worthwhile afternoon excursion for young and old alike. Looking forward to more improvements and I'm sure I'll be 5 starring it soon.

Instead of going to near Malls and playground in Luneta Park it's more awesome to bring kids here in this Museum. Every floor have different theme to offer. Find the Marine life floor and your kids will not be bored. You can also visit the near by Museums like Planetarium, National Museum of Anthropology and more if your kids enjoy the fun in learning to appreciate Museums.

I can spend the whole day here! If you're also the type who enjoys sight-seeing while learning, then you should check this out. As the name suggests, museum focuses on the study of animals, plants and nature, in general. Museum has so many galleries focusing on different topics such as underwater, volcanoes, forests etc. Many displays are scenic too, which is nice, but it's a shame that too many people come here to just take photos (i.e. selfies), without really reading the informative pieces of information written beside the displays.

We love their collections of animals from water, land and that flies. They have a huge pile of sea creature. Those crawling species seen on low tide and those seen only on deep part of the ocean will all keep you fascinated. Their land animals will give you an idea of how they look like on close encounter. Their flying animals and insects are well stuffed that looks exactly as they are. On the down side - they don't have a map yet to alteast know if we have looked at all their collections and they failed to demonstrate a good show for trees and other plants. Nevertheless, it was one of the best free museum that anyone can be into.

We covered the entire museum and it was awesome! We were a little rushed, but could easily go back and do it again. Do remember that you need to check your bags in at the doors of all the national museums and that they close at 5pm (we got carried away, haha).

Nice and beautiful museum! Well preserved animal species especially the ones that are endemic to the Philippines. I like also the different rock formations found in the Philippines and other parts if the world. They have also the different plant species that are only found in the Philippines. I also like the famous "Tree of Life", if only the elevator is functional, it would add to the drama when you are going upward and see the whole museum. 👍

The National Natural History Museum is located at Teodoro F. Valencia Circle, Ermita, Manila, 1000 Metro Manila, Philippines, is part of what is known as the National Museum Complex. It is a museum of "botany, zoology and geology". It was created by an act of Congress, known as the “National Museum Act of 1998”, and is a Government institution; it is adjacent to the National Museum of Anthropology and the Rizal Park - The Sentinel Of Freedom. The museum hosts permanent and temporary exhibits in galleries around the spacious atrium. The building, completed in 1940, served as the Agriculture and Commerce Building during the Commonwealth years. It was designed in a neoclassical style by Filipino Architect Antonio Toledo in the late 1930s. It is one example, of Daniel Burnham's plan for the development of Manila. The building was destroyed in the Battle of Manila during World War II. It was reconstructed, along with its twin building (the Finance Building, across the plaza) according to the original plans after the war. The building was used for numerous government offices, and until 2015 by the Phil. Tourism Department. The National Museum Act of 1998, mandated the retrofitting of three civic buildings within Rizal Park, the Legislative Building, the Finance Building, and the Tourism Building, into museums. After the spending an estimated cost of around ₱1 billion, the building itself was formally renamed the National Natural History Museum and was inaugurated in 2017. The atrium of the six floored building, features a glass dome skylight reinforced by a double helix structure inspired by DNA. The dome and structure was labeled as the "Tree of Life”.

It was my first time here in the National Museum of Natural History and it was amazing! It was housed in a historic building, the former Department of Agriculture and Finance. But equally impressive is its collection. There are a lot of artifacts and detailed information about them, both in English and Filipino. Some of the artifacts even date from the former Bureau of Science in the 1920's! More notable however is the nature of the collection. Most are interactive and allows much visitor participation. There's even a corner for 10-year old to make crayon etchings and the like! Definitely recommended for schools to bring their students here and set up guided tours for them ❤

Beautiful architecture, nicely put together displays with informative panels on ecology of the Philippines. Some of their items on display are nice, yet perhaps the curators could use space for items that people would like to see (there was a full skeleton of a horse and cow there... I felt the large space those took up could be used for something more interesting). Their best items were on display on the ground floor, but you may not even know about it. More could be done to draw more attention to those. Kids may like learning about Lolong the crocodile, who perhaps could have his own dedicated display. Anywhow, I still enjoyed my time there and I'm sure others would as well!

It was clean and well-maintained when we visited. There were groups of students from various schools at that time. Deeply regret not taking pics of the beautiful trees (artwork) by the main entrance. Spent a few quiet moments in that area admiring them. It was the perfect transition from the outside world. We were too eager to go in and forgot to take pics. Was surprised at Ramon Orlina's Paradise in the area facing the grand atrium. Kept looking at it from different angles and from different floors. How is it soooo beautiful? It seemed like it was changing colors as the sky turned darker. After looking around the ground floor, we made our way to the top floor via the scenic elevator. The first room we went into had Lolong in a prominent spot. We see his ilk (human versions) everywhere...ehem. There were people guiding the various groups through the museum in an orderly manner. The cleaning staff and security staff were polite, friendly, and professional. One of the female security staff told us to come back as there were outdoor "secret projects" in the works. She happily told us of the current exhibits and informed us how we could hold events in the function rooms. Love that the staff firmly yet politely told us where to go when we were wandering off. It was time well spent.
