One of the grandest and biggest churches in the city right in the heart of Binondo! While in the church, visit and say a prayer to the oldest relic in the Philippines, the Pronto Socorro. Then after church, explore the oldest Chinatown in the world! Old shops, yummy restaurants, Chinese drugstores and more, more food!

Another incredibly beautiful church with distinctive unique features that really makes it its own compared to many churches I have visited within my life. Being a Catholic Church in the world's oldest Chinatown!!! After you come visit this truly beautiful place, and even take a quick prayer. You can always find yourself eating at a really good local restaurant or find yourself exploring Chinatown with many of its shops.

In the middle of the old chinatown jungle is a historic beautiful cathedral. Wish the vicinity is less crowded and high rise towers beside which are eye soars.

Located in the middle of Manila Chinatown area, Binondo Church is one of the place that you must visit for sightseeing. The front and interior view is quite beautiful and you can see the touch of Chinese relics inside the building.

From the start to end, I had an amazing experience, I don't think there is a country with better hospitality than the Philippines in the world, they make you feel like a King or Queen, it's inexpensive everything, and I mean everything. I love that country and I love even more their people. May God bless the Philippines and his president, May God bless El Salvador and his president, May God bless United States, and guide ours politicians. Amen

A renowed Church right in Binondo Manila. Fanstastic architectural design and arts painted both from walls to high-up ceilings and boasts spacious floor and seating capacity due to thier huge real state area. Great place to enjoy quiet away from the busy streets of Binondo and to focus on your prayers with your family and loveones. They have thier own staff as well as they will guide you to follow thier health protocols and escort your to available seats to promote social distancing. Parking spaces is available at the sides of the property for your convenience too. Kindly give a LIKE 👍 if this helps! Follow ME for my other REVIEWS!

I think this is the 2nd time that I have visited this church, but it still wowed me. It's great that the church staff were strictly implementing the COVID-19 protocols (e.g. temperature checking, presentation of vaccination card, and accomplishing the contact tracing form. If you're considering to visit Binondo for a food trip, drop by this beautiful church.

Like many other churches in Manila, Binondo Church has already undergone reconstruction as a result of collateral damage from war. Of the present day design, only the octagonal belfry on the right is partly original from 1600's. It used to be formally known as the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish, and is now. Minor Basilica of the Archdiocese of Manila while serving as the National Shrine of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz, in honor of his canonization in 1987 by JPII, who now also happens to be a saint himself. It has a narrow frontage but upon entering it, you'll bare witness to its grandness with the multiple frescoes on its ceilings that depict the mysteries of the holy rosary. The altar is also said to be a spitting image of the facade of the Saint Peter's Basilica. A church with long history, a church loved and cared for by the locals, a church rich in meaning and spirit, deserves to be inherited by generations to come.

Many Catholics believe this is a miraculous church. Sick, helpless people come here and ask God's grace and Power of healing. So far the Church are well maintained and so solemn due to the warm lighting.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had the most wonderful experience visiting the Binod Church, and it was truly a captivating journey into Chinese culture. The church itself is a beautiful gem, with its unique architecture and historical significance. As someone who has always been fascinated by Chinese culture, this visit was a dream come true. I was delighted to discover various elements of Chinese culture in and around the church. The art and decorations reflected the rich heritage, and I even had the chance to savor some delicious local Chinese dishes and tea. The people in the area were incredibly warm and hospitable, adding to the charm of the visit. The scenic beauty surrounding the Binod Church was a feast for the eyes, making it a perfect spot for those who appreciate nature alongside culture. I also learned about the historical significance of the church and how it's intertwined with Chinese culture, which added depth to my visit. Accessibility to the church was convenient, and I had no trouble reaching the location. It's definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone interested in exploring Chinese culture. If you plan your visit well, you might even catch one of the local cultural events or festivals, further enriching your experience. In summary, my visit to the Binod Church was an unforgettable experience, and it left me with a deep appreciation for Chinese culture. I can't wait to return and explore more of this fascinating world. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Also known as the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of San Lorenzo Ruiz was established by the Dominicans and initially dedicated to Saint Gabriel the Archangel who became Binondo’s patron. It is also known as Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish as it venerates the Blessed Virgin Mary as Binondo’s patroness.

I would like one day to pay homage to St. Lorenzo Ruiz. He serves as Altar Server. Many Chinese as well Filipinos have been converted to Christianity by Dominican Friars. Philippines is commemorating 500th years of Christianity 🙏🏻❤ St. Lorenzo of Manila, pray for Filipinos the grace of Faith, Fraternal love and Charity. Be our Protector 🙏🏻❤

My sisters and i planned to go to binondo on the eve of the chinese new year. We made the binondo church our first stop. I realized that i could not even remember the last time i went there. However, it was way different with the addition of san lorenzo ruiz and some improvements. It was well preserved and very clean. I was able to pray without any distractions. I also noticed how it became a tourist destination with the presence of some tourists who took pictures and videos of the church. Being one of the oldest churches, i hope it gets maintained and preserved.

Before the war, BINONDO Church was considered as one of the most beautiful churches in the country .. The church was burned during the British invasion of 1762 .. Improvements were further made in the 18th century but the edifice was again destroyed in the 1863 earthquake. It was rebuilt in the grandeur of what we see today .. and, as we explore the church surroundings, a magnificent crucifix is stationed at the entrance, amidst candle pits .. the baptismal chambers exudes the tranquility & sacred beauty tt is so calming .. From the beautiful paintings on the ceiling to the altar of the church tt has been described to be modeled after the St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, BINONDO Church, founded by Dominican priests in 1596, has been reconstructed so many times due to natural calamities .. only the Bell Tower is what remained of the original 16th century structure, tog w its classic architecture tt makes the church a wondrous sight .. A word of caution .. when visiting Chinatown,, be safe, be vigilant w yr belongings ..

Our family tried the "Binondo Wok" tour last Dec 2019. It cost php 1,700 for the half day tour (9am-12nn). It includes the historic tour around Binondo area, visit of highly suggested where-to-eat restos which you can eat-all-you-can as well. Good thing we went there mid-week on a holiday therefore, it was not crowded. I recommend the following: (1) bring eco bags if you opt to go fruit shopping, (2) attire - comfy shoes, hat & shades because you'll be waking around (3) SUNSCREEN ☀️ for sun protection (4) extra cash for shopping 💰 (5) bottled water at least 1L to keep you hydrated (6) fully charged mobile phone to take that awesome snapshots of the tour 📸 (7) towel or wet wipes & (8) extra shirt. I find the cost a bit pricey, so make sure to eat a lot! Hahaha.. or you can take-home some left overs (if you like) so be sure to bring that eco bag! Overall, it was a nice experience. The tour guide was very engaging and knowledgeable of the historical places.

It can easily be find now and safer to walk because it is clean and organize. I still suggest not to withdraw your money, just bring cash.

In front of the church, a beautiful fountain and a shrine to the Madonna. It is Chinese Catholic Church. Near to everything like shops, malls, hotel and restaurants. There s also a lot of beggars outside the Church.
