The biggest mosque 🕌 in Manila. Can accommodate up to 22k worshippers. It proudly stands in the predominantly Muslim section of the Quiapo district of Manila. Non Muslim may also enter the premises but not inside. From friendly Muslim who offered being a guide we learned that there are 4000 Muslims living in the vicinity of the mosque. The construction of the mosque began in 1976 under the supervision of Imelda Marcos. It supposed to be used for the visit of Libya’s President Muammar Al-Gaddafi.

A big Muslim Mosque where daily and Friday prayers are performed. It needs some maintenance. The ablution room isn't that clean. Overall the Muslim community there should really work harder to improve this iconic building.

Beautiful mosque. Parking may be a bit diffucult though. Park at a bit further down the road and just walk. Many food choices around the area.

The people are nice, however surprisingly it wasn't as well maintained as I expected, I think it's because the limited resources. I hope this masjid can be more well-treated in the future since this masjid is the most famous masjid there.

Need improvements. Toilet is not cleaned. Carpets is dusty. The compound of the Masjid is sorrounded by shanties. No parking space especially during Friday prayer. But It is spacious inside. Quite peaceful.

Being the main mosque in Manila, I was expecting the mosque to be architecturally more decent. Generally the main mosques of a city look beautiful.

(Translated by Google) It seems that you can not enter without Sally. As Sally is sold around the entrance, I purchased and entered. Sally was very cute and could be purchased for $ 180. The important mosque was not so beautiful because it was sloppy. The mosque we went to in Spain was amazing, so we compared it.

Many Moslems here especially during Ramadhan. Good experience first time perform Jumaah prayer in the Golden Mosque, Manila. However, the ablution and parking area needs to be developed.

Alhamdulillah! Lovely Masjid.♥️ Authorities should immediately action against those illegal squatters who absolutely depreciated the value of such an iconic site.

This is probably the largest masjid I've been around Manila. It's full during Friday prayer. The condition is unfortunately not well maintained. The surrounding area doesn't look quite clean and made me feel kinda unsafe as well. A few halal food outlets around. Perhaps the muslims here and in the region (namely Malaysia and Brunei) need to get themselves together and pay attention at this masjid and give it a new breather.

The first Mosque I visit in Manila. I'm visiting the Mosque on Friday prayer. So many people there. Tips: - Prepare some money for sadaqah, someone will ask you if you're not a native Philippines. Or just be confident so they assume you know the rule. Pros: - Big and many people do ibadat there Cons: - The place around the Mosque dirtier than place in Makati or on the central of the Manila - English literacy near the Mosque lower compare to other place in the central of Metro Philippines CMIIW and good luck!

(Translated by Google) The largest mosque in the Philippines. The surrounding area is a Muslim town. The Philippines is famous as a devout Catholic country, but most were Muslim before the Spanish conversion. It was kind of a religious war, and it was a Muslim country at the time when it was Lapu Lapu, the king of Mactan Island, where Cebu airport in the Philippines is today, that took the famous Magellan around the world and the Strait of Magellan. It was a battle between Magellan, who led the Spanish fleet, who wanted to spread Christianity in the Philippines, and Lapu Lapu, who wanted to protect Islam. The Spanish colonization of the Philippines began in 1565 after the death of Magellan, and Christianity has spread overwhelmingly to the present, but it is natural that some Filipinos oppose conversion and continue to the present as Islam. I think. Though the situation is different when I think about it like this, I think of the rebellion of Shimabara and Shiro Amakusa, and I think there are feelings that outsiders of other faiths should not enter blindly. The area around this Golden Mosque is also a residence of Muslim people, but I feel that the atmosphere is a little different from other cities, but of course all the ordinary Filipinos will answer me easily. Very nice people with a constant smile. Although this Golden Mosque is beautiful, its size and level of maintenance are smaller than those of Malaysia's Pink Mosque and Blue Mosque, and Jakarta's Istiklal. When I think of it as a mosque in a Christian country, I am deeply moved.
