In terms of interiors, walang masyadong special sa loob but, the color of the facade, apaka ganda. Feeling ko mas maganda pa sya pag hapon. It is said that the original structure of this church was built in the same area where the latest structure was built. This church was constructed by the members of the “Society of Jesus” or known as the Jesuits in 1608 up to 1768. It is the first Roman Catholic Church built in this area. Its structure is made up of blocks of adobe quarried from the nearby provinces. It was dedicated for the newly converted Chinese who lives in Manila. 08/2014

When I was young, we used to attend mass here. I moved to another (adjacent) city, so I still visit here every now and then. The masses are solemn (I mean no screaming kids). It is a big church and many attendees are Filipino-Chinese, it being in Sta Cruz, Ongpin area. In the vicinity are the gold jewelry sellers. It is also walking distance to Quiapo church. I love that there are regular confessions here. It was their fiesta yesterday, October 16 Sunday, there was a procession and there were many priests present.

Very well ventilated and cautious when it comes to COVID protocols. When I visited there was only one entrance/exit at the far left side, complete with thermometers and hand sanitizers.

My classmates and I chose Sta. Cruz Church for our heritage site requirement. We did a video shoot outside and inside the church. On the side there is a book store. Going inside, i think the church has an ongoing construction which can be loud for the people praying. Also, it was so hot inside and the electric fans were not opened.

(Translated by Google) ⛪⛪🇵🇭 Historic church. Pretty from the outside, nothing special inside. A quiet corner outside (but inside the courtyard) allows some popular Saints to pray tramquilli. All around the church the human manure dung of Manila. The real Manila, the one that enters your nose, the one that looks at you with the toothless eyes of an old human rest crouched on a cardboard, that of the thousand useless shops, that of the dirty children chasing you for a coin. Manila, come gentlemen. The men's zoo is here. (Original) ⛪⛪🇵🇭 Chiesa storica. Manila, venghino signori. Lo zoo degli uomini é qui.

I never fail to drop by here to visit and pray whenever I'm in the vicinity, usually on my way home since my bus stops nearby. I love the quietness and serene athmosphere that is very conducive to my commune with the Lord. Sta. Cruz church is also the shrine of our patron in our City of Imus, Our Lady of the Pillar or Virgen del Pilar.

This is my favorite church since my childhood years. I was spending praying with the Blessed Sacrament that has been exposed in the entire church especially for Holy Hours. Also, you can request to make mass cards for birthdays and for the departed souls. That parish is maintained by the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament or Sacramentino Fathers, Brothers, and religious. Thank you, Sacramentinos!

The church was built in early 17th century by the Jesuits, but later on it undergone many reconstructions. It was twice damaged by earthquakes and it was completely destroyed during the battle of Manila. The present structure was built in 1957. Our Lady of the Pillar is a patroness of the church. Her statue is place at the top of the façade.

It has a beautiful structure, and it's so peaceful amidst in the middle of a busy place. The people inside are so kind and accomodating, also given the fact that they do feeding programs for homeless people that's why when you try to visit the church you will see that there are people that are homeless just residing outside the church. Beautiful. All in all.

Beautiful Newly renovated church. Minimalist (yet?) With beautiful altar. The entry to Chinatown opposite adds to the allure of this area. This is my first visit but will definitely return. Amazingly clean sorrounding even if parking is full. There are public parking attendants to help you.

Great church, with limited parking space. But there's a pay parking outside near the circle for motorbikes for P20. Not so sure about 4 wheeled vehicles. If you want to have a peaceful time to pray and visit the church, this is the one for you. Because it is not crowded unlike the Quiapo church and also the priest that attended the mass was great! We will be going to this church for our Sunday mass.

This is another Metro Manila landmark in the old district of Manila and is one of two churches on opposite ends of Ongpin Street. A lot of Church goers home here for Sunday Mass as well as for their regular worship. There's limited parking here and the area usually has very heavy traffic so it's recommended to walk over

Situated in Santa Cruz, near busy Ongpin street, the go-to place for gold, traditional Chinese medicines as well as Chinese eats/ delicacies, I find spending some quiet time in this church refreshing; it is an oasis of peace & spiritual enlightenment.

Sta. Cruz were Our Lady of Pillar resides is one of the oldest church in the Philippines. Its altar is designed in a simple way. With wide altar it will really capture your attention in honoring & praising God. Located near to Binondo & Basilica of Black Nazarene in Quiapo.

After visiting the Quiapo Church, I seldom go here in the historic Church of Santa Cruz, and continue my praying time with the Lord. The sober atmosphere inside, gives me a time to pause and contemplate, despite its busy, hustling and bustling position in the focal point of Carriedo, where throngs of Public Utility Vehicles, Private Cars, and even the Old LRT-1 Train, traverses to. The church is successfully restored, as well as the huge Carriedo fountain beside it! This is a success story of how Filipinos can marvelously keep its heritage while striking the hot metals of progress to alleviate our poverty-stricken country.

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed at times when there is no Eucharistic celebration at the main altar. The place is indeed a place of silence and prayer within the heart of the city. Jesus Eucharistic is always present there ready to listen to our stories, to comfort us in our difficulties, and to attend to our needs.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful church, full of history and tradition. There is kept a Spanish carving of the image of the apparition of the Virgen del Pilar, one of the first Marian apparitions accepted by the church. Did you know that she is the patron saint of Hispanidad? You are right. And in the mausoleum you can still see inscriptions in Spanish and on the floor of the entrance there are also inscriptions in Chinese. It is worth the visit and more if you finish it off at the Carriedo fountain, the Chinatown and a lot to see and eat.
