Small museum but organized well. There are 3 parts, one is the museum itself, 2nd is the El Deposito and the last is the Diorama.

This place is actually no longer just Pinaglabanan Shrine, standing in center front of the historical shrine is a giant size flagpole., left side of this is now the NEW San Juan City Hall.

Spacious park located nearby the San Juan City Hall. Several historical markers are placed within the area that remind everyone of the first hostile action undertaken by the Katipunan forces against the Spanish authorities in 1896. An honor roll engraved with the names of the revolutionary combatants involved can be found adjacent to the monument at the northeast sector.

The place is ideal for jogging, zumba, and other outdoor activities. It's spacious enough for many people to do their activities. It is quite refreshing also since there are trees. The only complain I have for this place, as a resident of this city is that they only allow dogs who are CUTE and LOOKS harmless. I think there is a lot of discrimination, even if the dogs are leashed and the owners are obviously being responsible even with the litter of their dogs. History? Heritage? Well, they can tell that to the old municipal hall that they are going to demolish after so many years of history. I hope the city of San Juan will provide a DOG PARK for dog owners of they don't want this place to be occupied by dog owners.

A good place to relax (when it is not the weekends or early morning where there are a lot of people doing their morning exercise), do some physical activities ie. Sports, jogging, zumba, frisbee etc and a lot more. The San Juan City hall is just right beside it.

Pinaglabanan Shrine is a place where you could reminisce the past related to our heroism of the Filipino ancestors who fought and even gave their life for the freedom we have today. Before the pandemic and without restrictions this place is perfect for dating, unwind, family outing, get together, and of course, workouts (jogging, walking, boxing, yoga and many more. A well-maintained place and with strict securities which a place like this must-have to maintain the clean and peaceful park. As of this writing, the park is still close and everyone is restricted to enter due to health and safety reasons related to covid-19. But soon it will be again publicly available. Thanks for reading my folks! Michael,

The Battle of San Juan del Monte also refers as "Battle of Pinaglabanan" took place on August 30, 1896. It is considered as the first major battle of the Philippine Revolution, which sought Philippine independence from Spain. The first battle cry of the Katipunan coincided with the pealing of church bells at nine o'clock on the night of August 29, 1896.

The wait time here was ridiculous. We waited for over an hour. The groups passing through were very slow. I suspect it being a very hot day. They wanted to stay inside with the AC. The shrine itself is fairly empty. Not much to see.

Museo ng Katipunan This showcases the life and birth of the Filipino armed group that revolted against Spanish colonial rule as well as the life and death of its Founder, Andres Bonifacio. The experience will take you from the triggers of the revolution down to its first battles against the Empire.

i had a great time visiting that place, because of SB19. It's just sad that I wasn't able to roam the place because it was raining hard. But the people there were all accommodating. I hope to visit that place again. ☺️ Btw, thank you Mayor Zamora for taking care of our Mahalima. We are so grateful po. 🤍 I pray for your city's great abundance, and success. ☺️🤍

A must-visit! There aren't many parks anymore around the metro, so make sure to drop by. Residents of the city should be able to tell you info about the shrine, so don't hesitate to ask. There's a bazaar going on during Christmas every year, too!

  • 1/5 George Rampas J. 4 months ago on Google • 2 reviews
Public place, but practicing dancing activities is prohibited? Plus, to do such activities, a permit is needed. But there is no available permit to give??? The reason is there was a fight OUTSIDE of the park before? Do they prohibit such activities due to their incompetency to handle the security well? For a public place to prohibit activities that is commonly seen on a place like this is such a low move from an LGO. Adding the fact that the guards itself have authority to grant permit if they want without following the "protocol" that they proudly talk about?!?! I suggest not going into this place or your very long travel might result in your most basic activities to be prohibited by no logical reason.
