DEN OF DISGUSTINGNESS! This was once an elegant hotel and remains a landmark worth walking into and having a look. Please be sure to keep walking and do not make the mistake of staying. I booked what I was assured was a newly renovated room. It has not been cleaned recently, much less renovated. Additionally, when asking for guidance from Guest Services, not only did they give me the wrong place, they printed it on the back of a list of the international guests, with details including their names, room numbers, length of stay. Clearly data privacy and security don’t matter any more than cleaning or maintaining the rooms. Note that I redacted the names and room number, not the hotel. One need not eat or drink alone here as cockroaches are likely to join. Not the large tropical cockroaches that are ubiquitous in tropical areas but the small ones that thrive in filth and I found nowhere else in my three weeks in the Philippines. I brought my concerns to the attention of guest services on the first morning of my stay and was told to “have a nice day”. The second day I was told by the duty manager that I could fill out a comment form and they would inform management. There was, and will be no third day. Lest one read this and look at the photos and feel I am overly critical of a century plus old hotel, keep in mind this was supposed to be a Five Star, newly renovated room on a high floor of the modern tower. COVID is also no excuse, if anything the pandemic should have elevated the level of cleanliness.

We had a great stay at The Manila Hotel, it was also our 1st stay there. Check in was easy and staff were really friendly and nice. The staff were all warmth and accommodating. They have the most sophisticated interior designs! I love how the lights blend with its high class dining area for visitors. The lobby alone is extravagant! I highly recommend this place with all my friends from here and all over the world. This is the perfect place to stay in Manila.Parking is jam packed but its easy to request for Valet and only costs P100. Food in the buffet breakfast was great, facilities like Gym and Pool are also well maintained. Would definitely come back ❤️

If I were to rate the food served at the lobby café then this rating would get lower than ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. Guys, a slice of toasted bread served with hotcake syrup is not french toast! The saving grace of this place, aside from its history, is, ironically, its lobby. Hotels with grand and fabulous lobbies like The Manila Hotel are already becoming a rarity. Thank you for maintaining class and elegance in yours!

This place is in a league of its own. I ended up here by accident but it was a great accident. The rooms themselves are a bit old fashion but still comfortable. That old world feel. The hotel itself is incredible. I want to give a shout out to the head chef and the F&B team. I ate here pretty much the whole stay and I can’t fault any of your meals. Your sandwich instead a loaf of bread is pure genius! And delicious. All incredible with amazing service. The only area I avoided was the pool. It was way too busy.

Our room had nice view of Manila. Hotel is classy and quiet. The staff was very professional and treated us very well. The buffet was good. The price was very low compared to other hotels. Way better than Sofitel, Marriott (nice to visit, but not stay), and more. The rooms and hotel are vintage. It has some things outdated like the tile in the bathroom, but if you overlook that we had a great experience here. The plumbing in the bathroom is newer so don't worry. I read lots of reviews before our stay and didn't have any problems stated in those reviews. Hotel is happy to fix or accommodate whatever we asked. If you got the money The Champagne Room is a must.

My friend and I when to Colombia to get plastic surgery and we stood here we loved it. The staff was very attentive the front seat staff was super friendly and the restaurant staff also. My friend and I had to eat stuff with iron before and after our surgery and the manager she was super she order liver just for us and it was not in the menu. The rooms have really great price and they are clean and updated with a nice style, lots of nice restaurant near by walking distance. Over all I’m happy I stood here.

This place reminds me of the Palace at Sun City in South Africa. Has alot of the original decor and awesome history. Love the Tap Room, has 3 decent restaurants. It's very busy which is good to see. Swim up pool bar is excellent! Enjoying the stay.

Staying at Manila Hotel is the best experience we ever had. From the hotel's exquisite facade, the concierge, receptionist and room service was great. The employees are kind and friendly, greeting everyone with a smile on their face, providing excellent service. The rooms are magnificent, luxurious and comfortable where you can relax, sleep safe and sound. They also serve savory meals and drinks that will satisfy your taste buds. Anyone can have breakfast or dinner while facing the view of the city at the top floors. It is highly recommended to stay at The Manila Hotel.

Absolutely the best hotel I have stayed. Incredible food, service and friendly. If I could give 6 stars I would. View of the bay in the morning, evening is breath taking. The ships will line up outside the bay to come in. No bad ocean smell. Clean and truly historic. Bathroom was incredible. The morning buffet is worth every peso. I changed my plans to go back and stay longer on this visit.

I was very impressed by this hotel, the staff, and how well organized everything is. When you walk in and get through security checking in is very easy and quick to do. The front staff explains everything to you and they are also available if you need to hire private transportation. I was able to hire several private drivers and pay through the front desk and it was 100% safe and reliable. The rooms were great as well. The bed was very comfortable and I didn't want to leave it in the morning. I had to remove a star because my window to the harbor was dirty and there were some mysterious stains on the carpet. Other than this my room was comfortable and room service did a great job cleaning everything and keeping the room clean, towels stocked, and bed made. Room service here is also great as well. I ordered food several times and was impressed with the quality of the food and the speed at which it was delivered. One thing that I didn't see the other reviews mention is there is a small little bakery shop to the left as you walk in. All the baked goods here are fresh and tasted wonderful, the ube danish was my favorite. The breakfast buffet was great as well, it can be noisy and crowded though so get there early to avoid the lines.

Best experience for a 5 star hotel for my birthday. Given that the place and rooms are old. Still, the place is very high class and luxurious. The hallways and lobbies are still elegant and well preserved. The room i got was too old but so spacious. The buffet breakfast was the best! Pool area was good too. Not too big but still can enjoy and chill at the pool bar especially late in the afternoon going night time. Parking space is not bad either.

Beautiful view they were nice and giant pool I loved the place also I was just asking if you could tell the people who stay on the vip about the main floor breakfast please do! They had everything for breakfast and every time you would get something and get up they would fold your napkin I recommend! Nothing I can think of is bad I don’t know how to say how good it was!

My brother's travel agent recommended The Manila Hotel for my quarantine stay in Manila. I was drawn by the history of the hotel and had heard about the renovations so I decided to choose it. I had wanted a room with a sunset view so it would be something I could look forward to. Thankfully, my room was upgraded to a suite and surely had the sunset view. Just gorgeous and spacious! There was a variety of foods to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I had my favorites. I was told that their halo halo is good so I had that today. As my time draws to a close, I will say it felt like a home away from home. The only one thing that was a slight hiccup was short staffing downstairs. My brother had to wait a while to drop off things for me because only one person was helping. Would highly recommend!

I only went to Luneta grandstand due to a gathering of all GOCC employees, as I was told by an SSS employee in Las Piñas branch. Anyways I just enjoyed every moment that was a rainy morning around 10am. As I was walking back to my car, I chances upon the legendary Manila Hotel only a little view of the hotel from afar. The grandeur that this magnificent historic edifice still standsout from the rest, a lot of you guys knows the history, I guess. It was raining like cats and dogs, that is why these two pictures only I took. Maybe one day I can do some justice to what I didn't do. Also pandemic hampers our daily normalcy, have a great day guys God 🙏 bless us all. Thanks and please observe the health protocols. MABALOS

The Manila Hotel’s olden charm actually never gets old. I suggest you grab a Prestige VIP membership to fully try out and enjoy what this hotel offers. Rooms are old..yes, constantly renovated, but still elegant and comfortable. Always a pleasant, relaxing stay.

Carmina had experience taking pictures and doing a vlog with Mom Violy to watch a glimpse of the video is to enter in Carmina Lifestyle in my Facebook Page. Carmina learned when you obey and follow the protocols you will still experience being inside at The Manila Hotel. You don't need to worry everyone is wearing a mask. Food is served to you handed from the staff working in the buffet. You can also request food served at your table and it is best to give them a tip showing your gratitude of their hard work. It is up to you how much you want to give under your own expense. Otherwise you can experience a Christmas theme by taking your own photos although you can ask from assistance to take your photos from staff inside the Manila Hotel make sure you sanitize your phone afterwards. Food is delicious must try the steak can have it cooked how you eat it by asking the server it is already precooked for you along with side of vegetables on the plate. Shrimp tempura is also soft they'll ask you how many pieces you want. Otherwise we had enjoyed all the food served inside you should make a reservation before you decide to visit from their website. You will received an SMS giving you confirmation to check if your pushing through the date and time given. Make sure to ask what promotion offer in what credit cards you own top with that get a discount bringing a senior with you. Bring your vaccination card with you or else you won't be allowed to enter wearing face mask.

Parking is excellent to include disability Parking is in abundance. You will be wow'd from the time you drive through the entrance to the time you enter your room. 5☆ isn't enough especially when you experience the breakfast and adjacent bakery 🥰😋😍😃. Checking in and out is hassle free! The location is perfect 👌!

“The Manila Hotel is one of the most important landmarks in Manila. It presents a great story for the Philippines. It is the perfect representation of the city, if not the country’s resilience, vitality, versatility and hospitality.” -Ernest Hemingway The Manila Hotel is located at 1 Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila, 0913 Metro Manila. Manila Hotel is a beautiful 5-star hotel located in Manila just 2,300 feet from iconic Intramuros and 2,950 feet from Manila Cathedral. The hotel provides good foods, kind and smiling-faced staff, and high quality service. A sprawling property located in the heart of Manila, the country's first ever five-star hotel became the address of prominence visited by the most illustrious of guests. The hotel has served as witness to how the city has suffered so much damage during the outbreak of World War II under the Japanese invasion.

In a nutshell, Quiet Elegance, Rooted in Tradition with their patrons comfort at the forefront of everything they offer. Truly a wonderful stay. I can’t even think of where to begin. You are greeted by a door man, valet parking is available, a bell hop is ready to help with your bags. Security screening is done before entering the lobby, with what seems to be the now standard temp and vaccination card check in the Philippines. Upon entering, the lobby was large and full of traditional Filipino touches. And the whole staff is in traditional Filipino attire. I’m a tactile person and as much as I ask my kids not to touch things, I’m sure they get it from me, I hate to admit it but I touched every plant I could, that said, every plant or shrubbery used for decoration was absolutely beautiful and real. To me that is amazing, it takes so much attention and care to maintain that many plants and orchids. That pretty much describes the Manila Hotel. Attention to detail and care is taken, in each interactions and consideration of their patrons. We had the bay view in our room and it was spectacular! The room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable, I wish I could have taken it with me. The room had all of the amenities you see in hotels. But it also had free bottled waters, fresh fruit a full toiletry set up, all you could think of plus a sewing kit and slippers! The best part for me as well was everything I saw was also a product of the Philippines, pride behind the name, authenticity to the smallest detail! I could really go on for ever, but I actually want you to read the post🤣. The pool, pool bar, food, massage, and the health spa, all amazing! Like most countries, there are many influences that make up Filipino food and you get all of that, the diversity of the menu, the beauty of presentation, I could barely eat the food because my eyes were so busy feasting! Had room service as well and it came sooner than expected, again, the food was amazing and delicious! If nothing else, you have to try the buffet style dining to experience the full depth and breadth of their offerings. Some hidden gems in the hotel; the health club, besides the complete gym set up, has separate male and female locker rooms equipped with its own steam room, dry sauna and hot tub. Again I had to check if the plants decorating these spaces were real and yup, real. There is also some kind of art exhibit unfortunately I was too busy Pool side with the kids to check it out. The Manila Hotel is an iconic venue with years of rooted history and tradition, if you have to stay in Manila and you want to be treated like royalty there is no other choice!

Manila Hotel is a beautiful 5-star hotel located in the heart of Metro Manila. The iconic Manila Hotel stood over 100 years already. And until now serves their guests with the famous Filipino hospitality and welcoming smiles to make your stay an experience definitely to remember. Parking can be an issue sometimes, because of the limited parking spaces available. Their buffet offers a good spread of appetizers, dishes, wines or liquors and desserts to satisfy your cravings.

We had an amazing experience at The Manila Hotel, which marked our first stay there. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff displayed exceptional friendliness and kindness. They exuded warmth and were incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. The interior designs were truly sophisticated, particularly how the well-blended lights complemented the high-class dining area for visitors. The grandeur of the lobby alone was awe-inspiring! Without a doubt, I will wholeheartedly recommend this place to all my friends both locally and from around the world. It is undeniably the perfect accommodation choice in Manila. While parking may be quite congested, requesting valet service is convenient and only costs P100. The buffet breakfast offered delightful food, and the gym and pool facilities were exceptionally well-maintained. We are already looking forward to returning.

We were warmly welcomed at the front door. Courteous and prompt service. Check-in was fast and no guarantee deposit required because it was already paid online. Our room was also upgraded. The ambiance is nice and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was included and they have a wide selection of cuisine. Food is good in general but some are just so-so.

Although this legendary hotel have been converted into a quarantine facility, it still has that legendary beauty and hospitality from the staff. The chandeliers (sorry I was not able to take some pics because I was busy admiring them) are pretty, the wooden furniture and accents gives you that native home vibes from the Spanish era, and the huge windows lets you have that spectacular view of the city. The bellman who helped with my luggage was really nice and helpful.

Well, it's a 5 star hotel meaning it's ambiance is great. The views were amazing. Absolutely I like the Christmas decorations near the Lobby Lounge where thee are soft sofas to sit at. There were center tables near the sofas. The Cafe Ilang ilang is a 5 star buffet restaurant inside of the manila hotel. The food, include appetizers, main course, aalads, other cuisines, drinks and desserts. What I love and like the most is japanese vegetable tempura. Their soft vegetables covered in tempura batter and it's fried to a golden crisp. Definitely must try it You also must try all the cuisines

Stayed for 2days, checked in we leave our luggage, came back and found 3-4 cockroaches in the room, bathroom. Called room service to report immediately they checked with pest control. We transferred in the same floor, inspected it none ipis seen. Next morning found again a cockroach at the coffee table. 2 different rooms still infested with cockroaches. We know the hotel is old, the TV, cable and internet are the bad, unreliable connnection, its free, better use your own data. Exceptionally good service, we notice they lack or still under staff. As expected during weekend all rooms are occupied

I enjoyed my 5-day quarantine stay at the Manila Hotel. They serve a good selection of food (Filipino, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Chinese). The room is clean, but you can see some signs of "oldness" especially on the carpet edges. Amenities are decent and their staff is hospitable. Some issues I have regarding my stay here are the 1.) delivery time of certain items (ordered items and amenities) 2.) inconsistent delivery time of the meals, 3.)and the temperature of the hot meals. It'll be great if this place invests in mobile food warmers, so people who reside on the upper floors can still have a warm meal.

I had a wonderful time quarantining at The Manila Hotel. I enjoyed the delicious set menu meals that they offered. The staff are responsive and sensitive to my needs and concerns, shout out to Mr. Bong Reyes ( Room Service ) for being so helpful, Manila Hotel is lucky to have you as one of their employees. I will definitely book my stay again. Kudos!😊

It's always a delight going to this place. The staff are always dressed up in Filipino-themed formal clothes, and are always warm and accommodating. The lobby is big but not over-bearing. Most would say that the hotel decor is dated, but it's this quaint Filipiniana theme that makes them distinct. Food and beverage from the Lobby Lounge doesn't disappoint; lighting and air-conditioning are optimal, and the seats are comfortable. I order take-away meals from them via online, and pick it up on my way to work. Their breads always come with spreads (jam or marmalade and butter), and may be cut upon request. There was one Sunday when I couldn't order from their take-away meals from Ilang-Ilang, but at least they told me right away. Overall, this hotel is still standing the test of time.

Still peak "Filipino hospitality" and that's what makes it special. They're also strict in COVID measures so felt safe throughout the stay. Don't be too shy to ask them if you need anything because they always do their best to accommodate their guest's requests.

Our family's staycation over the Easter weekend was just ok, nothing special. For a 5-star hotel, the rooms truly need proper cleaning, esp curtains, windows, carpets. Breakfast was so so, and there were long queus to get food after 8am. Parking was a problem within the premises. The hotel gym was superb.

We have always liked a spirit of Manila hotel. Lovely breeze clamour from pasts. Tasteful breakfast, good gym, great pool. Worth of every peso. Negative things are old and worn rooms, they need to be renovate soon.

I don't know If I can remembered we're there to relax for a while after going to Star City. (before it was burned down) Somewhere 2013 or 2014 I can't remember. I was there for a visit once with my family. (Guests by the way) It was late at night. We had great french fries and having a cold sprite softdrink which I remember it was stored in a small black refridgerator. It was quiet and everything in the room seems cold and comfortable. Me and my brother we were there playing games and this person let me play her Ipad which was filled with apps and that game was Cut the Rope the original. Which I found it fun for the first time. It was a really a great time there. The lights are very warm and everything here feels home and nostalgic at the same time. I'm sure I definitely miss orange street lights and that reminds me of good memories I had.

3 stars only. Our bathroom bathtub was leaking. One of the elevators was broken so super haba ng pila just to get to your floor and room. And since we booked on weekends during lenten week, super dami ng tao check in and out the line was long. And their breakfast buffet had a lot of people as well lined ul as well every counter. Nothing special sa breakfast just usual food line up. No italian or pasta food that day. It is like people EVERYWHERE. Pool is crowded din. And ung bar don mukang napaglumaan na talaga. I think it is better to avoid this hotel during holidays. Not maintained ang interior and exterior. Hirap makakuha ng magandang photos because there are people everywhere, luckily there are areas na hindi pinupuntahan mashado ng mga tao. It wasn’t a good experience maybe because I booked at the wrong time.

We loved our stay at The Manila Hotel. The room we stayed in at may seem old but it's an old hotel- over 100 years old actually. The elevators are slow and crowded but the service we received has been great. Location wise, it can be out of the way for getting cabs and the hotel isn't always able to call a taxi for you but it's within walking distance of museums and Intramuros.

A must stay when visiting the Philippines! It is my second visit at the The Manila hotel, and the experience just keeps getting better over the years. You’ll feel very safe staying here. The hotel is protected by a whole team of security that conducts checks on everyone entering the compound and at the lobby. Driving up to the entrance of the building you would see smartly dressed men in white with warm smiles greeting you and helping you with your bags. Built more than a 100 years ago in the year 1912, the grand hall is a breath taking sight of 20th century architecture. All the hotel staff are smartly dressed, professional and incredibly courteous and helpful. The hotel has several restaurants with an unbelievable amount of chefs and wait staff, huge halls for business conferences and weddings. Full size swimming pool and an awesome fully equipped gym. Even the standard rooms are very luxurious and spacious, the suites on the top floors are massive. All rooms have a great view of either, the Rizal Park built during the Spanish colonial period and the historic walled city of Intramuros, or the bay view looking out to the sea with coastal battle ships parked at the docks. This is an iconic building with so much history. More than just an accommodation, the 🇵🇭 Manila Hotel is a historical site and tourist destination. Rooms are priced more than reasonable, incredibly inexpensive for what it’s worth. I have never been to any hotel as good as this for such prices in Europe or Singapore 👍

Aside from the fantastically quaint ambiance and architecture, I have to say the staff here are some of if not the best I’ve come across. Totally attentive to any issue you might have, minor or major. They more than accommodated a request I had for some champagne glasses late at night to celebrate my partners birthday. Every staff conducted themselves with effortless grace, that to me is quintessentially Filipino. Certainly coming back if I stay in this area again.

Always how I imagined this beautiful hotel as a kid. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The common rooms are all elegant and really amazing. Its as if you stepped into a time machine and you could feel all nostalgic about how this place used to look like in the past.

It is the Grand Hotel of Manila, just like the Raffles in Singapore or the Majestic hotel in HCMC! Gorgeous interior, old fashioned service and charm. Their buffet breakfast is considered the number one breakfast spot in the city... served up by chefs! I thoroughly loved my time there.

Cockroaches spotted in the lobby bar, buffet, and our room. Management offered to move our rooms but that’s it. We had a 4 night reservation but left after the first night. Management refused to refund what we paid. Even without the bugs, this is far from a 5 star resort to NA standards. 2-3 star at best.

Iconic grandeur , a tale as old as time standing even before the birth of an amazing nation altogether that is what you will experience here. History you might be able to relive while having a pleasurable stay with it's very hospitable staff to make your day. Pricey but worth that iconic experience with an ever changing surroundings that gives you a classic vibrance as it changes with the seasons. Every visit is always a different experience. Ample parking space and lots of tourist destinations nearby for you to enjoy with your family and love ones.

Dinner at Cafe Ilang Ilang, still great quality dishes and service. Before the pandemic it was self service buffet , now the staff's the one to do it for you. You just have to choose the dishes you like to have and plates will be handled to you in line. And seems lesser dishes. Great ambiance!

Great value for a 5-star hotel! Rooms were clean and both sides of the building had amazing views. Even numbered rooms face the city, historical locations, and the sunrise; odd numbered rooms face the sea, and sunset). Breakfast is a buffet style where they offer Filipino, American, and Chinese cooked food as well as pastries such as danishes, croissants and more! I honestly would have expected rooms to be more expensive for the level of service and goods they provide.

Had a business conference nearby the hotel and got the chance to check in sponsored by my company . I love the service of the staff very accommodating. I've been to 5 star already but what gives the plus factor on this hotel is the historical picturesque interior at the lobby. Love the buffet too, I couldn't resist.

This is just fantastic! It made our stay in Manila more memorable. We loved the luxurious details, the 5-star feel, elegant vibe, and exceptional staff service. The restaurant was just truly amazing with different cuisines to choose from but I just loved the Red Jade Restaurant with the traditional Chinese Cuisine! Will surely be back again for more experiences.😊

It's really hard to put into words the best experienced I had in this hotel. We had a great stay at The Manila Hotel, it was also our 1st stay there. Check in was easy and staff were really friendly and nice. It was fully booked during our stay but our Deluxe room was big and had a great view of the sea. Parking is jam packed but its easy to request for Valet and only costs P100. Food in the buffet breakfast was great, facilities like Gym and Pool are also well maintained. What impressed me the most during my stay at The Manila Hotel is the homey yet chic ambiance that immediately reminds me of the comforts of our home, but with the upgraded five star hotel feel. The staff were welcoming and respectful and the food served at their restaurants are top notch. The rooms are so fab it took my breath away. My only regret is not bringing along my family during my stay but we will definitely plan a grand vacation when we get back to Manila and we will definitely book our stay in this amazing hotel. Top notch! Highly recommend you stay here and definitely you will be treated to a great and memorable stay.

The room was clean and quiet. A good place to rest during night time. The building is near and accessible to all famous budget restaurants and stores. The staff are friendly even the guards on duty. Even one time we came from a stroll and rode a tricycle to go back to the hotel, the guards greeted us "Good Evening Po" and bow their heads. The entrance is very near from the road. What I like the most is the Breakfast. Their food is superb. We want to go back there next time.

I had a wonderful experience at this place! The ambience was nice, giving off a majestic feel. Although the interior had an old charm, it was surprisingly clean, nice, and comfortable. I highly recommend dining at the lobby lounge as the food was delicious, especially their Halo Halo. However, the only downside was the slow service. Don't miss out on the happy hour at the pool bar from 2pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and also the happy hour at the Lobby Lounge starting from 5pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing evening with good food and drinks!

Its my 3rd time here at the Manila Hotel. A favorite venue for huge conventions, exhibits & Exclusive concerts. This time its just short stopover from my international trip & business meeting. I like the ambiance, location and great service. Ambiance is relaxing & peaceful even when you are in a business area in Manila. Location is accessible to a lot of establishments you want to go particularly shopping, dinning & business. Amenities are nice & good. They serve great food as well. The room is cozy & the bath is very clean. The place exudes elegance. Its like a hotel for the rich but affordable. The people who provide service are neat & clean & friendly and quick to assist you. You just inquire at the front desk for your need and they readily provide specially transportation & even directions. I will greatly recommend this place with my friends & colleagues. Its an awesome place to be.

I recently attended a dental seminar held at the Centennial Hall of Manila Hotel and had the opportunity to try the Roast Pork Loin with mushroom sauce. While the venue and service were commendable, I have some constructive feedback regarding the dish itself. The mushroom sauce accompanying the pork loin was delicious and provided a burst of flavor. However, I found the pork loin itself to be rather bland and lacking in taste. It would greatly enhance the overall dining experience if more attention was given to seasoning and adding flavor to the pork. I appreciate the effort put into organizing the event and providing meals for the attendees. My intention with this review is to offer constructive criticism, hoping that it reaches the right department and encourages improvements in the future. I believe that by enhancing the flavor of the pork loin, the dish would become even more enjoyable, aligning with the overall quality of the event. Thank you for considering this feedback.

This actually was an old hotel, but I truly fell in love with it. The hotel itself is very beautiful. The atmosphere is incredibly vibrant with a touch of luxury. You won't even think it's an old building. The service is efficient from check-in to check out. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, and helpful, and I love the girls' staff uniform, unique design, which I believed was a combination of old and modern design. Their food buffet that I fell in love more with so much delicious food to drool I wish I could eat more than my tummy can handle. The hotel is 30 to 40 minutes distance from the NAIA Terminal 1, depending on the traffic. I wish we stay longer. We are already planning to stay here again when we go back Philippines that's for sure.!

The staff and the service offered at the Manila Hotel is what all 5 star hotels wish they could offer. I enjoyed every interaction I had with the staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly and smiled the whole time. The staff is what makes this Hotel amazing. The public areas, like the lobby, are just beautiful. The musicians playing at night are romantic. The rooms are a bit dated and need some tlc, but they are still in decent shape. The location is historic, but a bit out of the way if you want to go outside the hotel. Just don't eat dinner in the buffet... Go elsewhere!

Beautiful hotel and I would highly rate the staff as friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and top tier. The room we had was 2 single beds, the bed is firm and a bit small like when you tried to turn you're at the edge of the bed about to fall. The shower is great! The water pressure is the best it's like a bucket of water going over you with the perfect hot temperature. The outlets in the room are a bit outdated because half of them don't work which is inconvenient when you can't charge near the bed. We had an event here and they served us first some sandwiches and coffee or tea. The sandwiches came out cold. Which was not nice to bite into. Felt like straight from the refrigerator and since it's croissant bread being used. It's no longer flaky and nice. The coffee was also warm at best. Then they also served cold dinner rolls. The soup and main course was great. The breakfast was a bit.... new. They're still implementing the glass windows protocol and that every food you get is a new plate that they will portion out for you. The Chinese cuisine with the spareribs was really good...but cold. Like refrigerator cold still which is odd since it was on top of a steamer. Everything else in breakfast was good. So overall experience it's okay. The food just needs to be supervised a bit more. Majority what I ate from the hotel came cold which makes the food less appealing. The airport ro the hotel takes more than an hour which includes the manila traffic. Which kind of make sense why they don't offer shuttle buses to the airport. It just takes too much time. Not a lot of places to explore nearby the hotel too

Our recent stay was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I knew I will be getting a 5 star experience however some of it are not that memorable regarding the handling of the fabric steamer I bought because it was not allowed inside. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and throughout my stay they catered to my needs. The room was immaculate and thoughtfully updated. The comfortable mattress ensured a restful night's sleep, and the room's temperature was not too hot and too cold. One of the highlights of my stay was the room service experience. The hotel's restaurant served filipino cuisine. The diverse menu offered in their buffet is something that I was thoroughly impressed with especially the fried rice they served in their breakfast buffet. The hotel's location was also a major plus. It was conveniently situated near several attractions such as the Manila Ocean Park, Rizal Park, and other landmarks making it easy for me to explore the main attractions in the city during my stay. Overall, my stay at The Manila Hotel was a delightful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The combination of a 5 star service, newly updated accommodations and modern facilities, and fantastic breakfast buffet options made for a truly memorable trip. I can't wait to return with my group of friends!

Everything is great except for the first floor/lobby; it is so chaotic… events after events(weddings, meetings, conventions, etc). So many people that the lobby area feels like a busy train station. Loved the hotel but wouldn’t come back here.. I’m more like…I need to be relaxed when Im on vacation. This would be perfect for business type of stays though.

My recent experience at the Manila Hotel fell far short of the expected five-star standard. Despite booking a room with a king-size bed, we were informed upon check-in that only twin beds were available. Upon arrival in the room, we were told the luggage would be delivered but we had to wait several hours and ask twice at the reception. Our room had maintenance issues, particularly a malfunctioning shower. The worn-out bathrobe with visible holes further reflected a lack of attention to detail. Apart from that, the room was as expected, the pool too, and we still enjoyed our stay, but I would hope that the concerns mentioned above prompt improvements in service and guest experiences.
