Right in the heart of Intramuros. Easy 10-minute stroll to SM Manila no streets to cross using the underpass and 20-minute walk to the Bureau of Immigration. The staff was fantastic, period. They went out of thier was to help at every turn, ever request or question. The breakfast buffet will satisfy both Western and Asian palettes. Lunch and dinners are both reasonably priced for a hotel of this statue in this area. I was hesitant when booking as I found few reviews detailed enough to make an informed decision, I hope this review will provide assurance that others were somewhat lacking. This establishment is well worth the money. Bottom line: We will book here again if we need to be in this area and do not want to commute.

The hotel location was great for historical sight seeing. The sky deck view bar (penthouse) restaurant had excellent views in the night time, food was good. On the contrary, the breakfast buffet didn’t have much options, taste was bland. The rooms were small, not very clean. The reason for my 1-star rating was because the room they gave my teenage kids was infested with ants crawling on the walls and the headboard! It was horrendous! I called front desk to inform them about this, and they sent the poor cleaner to wipe the areas with a wet cloth. I could have done this myself! They fixed the problem that way so obviously the ants came crawling back after maybe an hour. My daughter was so traumatised she couldn’t sleep for fear of ants getting inside her ears as they were crawling all over the headboard! So I called them again to demand that they transfer my kids to another room, they should have done this in the first instance. This hotel seriously needs pest control services!

What a stunning place for a drink or a meal. Overlooking Intramuros, the pier, Manila Bay and on the other side, the urban enclaves of Binondo, Manila and all the way to the central business districts. Food is good albeit pricey but the views alone are enough to justify the cost. Come during sunset and see the sky explode in amazing colors.

didn’t bother taking a picture of the room as we’re disappointed. room stinks of bleach, design’s very old and small. the fridge in our room is not functioning and dirty. part of the curtain fell when we tried to close it. good thing the maintenance staff fixed it. only good thing about this hotel is the service (very helpful staff!!) and bed is soft

We had a room without a window. Good thing: it doesn't get too hot, bad thing: no fresh air. You have a very nice rooftop restaurant on the top floor where you can spot all of the skyscrapers around town. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is pretty good. They also have a transfer from the airport to the hotel - just talk to them. The district in which the hotel is located, is the safest all over manila.

The food like "kare-kare" definitely woow!!!..meat texture was excellent as well as the taste..other fish dishes are well blended, the taste are real filipino cuisine..yup extra ordinary experience because the price are reasonable.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding of a friend. Check in - security personnel were very polite in assisting us from drop off to the parking space even reserve the parking slot when we advise that we are staying for 2 nights and we are worried if we can still have a slot if we go out to go to the church and come back for the reception since the frontdesk advise that it is a first come first serve basis in the parking. Location - the hotel is near the gate of intramuros and it is easy to take a tour go to other places which is very accessible even if you take a public transport Staff - upon check in we ask for an assistance to carry our luggage but the staff who assist us just bump our bags in the wall in the cabinet and we end up helping him out instead. It is hard to call the housekeeping for assistance. We even called 2-3 follow ups to the frontdesk before someone send our request. You should have a very long patience and waiting time before you get served. The staff will not attend you immediately especially when you are a local tourist. You can feel the isolation of foreigner and local from the staff in the frontdesk to the staff in the penthouse. They are also letting the intern assist the guest without proper supervision and giving an incorrect information to the guests and the managers were not even apologetic with their mistakes. Lastly the frontdesk even ask the guard for other checkout and parking policy which is not appropriate. A frontdesk staff should know better than other staffs because they are one welcoming and the first and last touch of the guests. Food - Complimentary breakfast buffet is not ok. The egg is not fresh, full of fried and process food, less selections, nuggets, chicken longganisa and everyday arroz caldo serving which is very bland. Coffee is a bit acidic, hot choco taste like ovaltine with milk and not a real tsokolate as expected. Fruits were dry and sweet ham is a bit chewy taste like it was thawed from the freezer for couple of days. Room - 1st night the beddings were a bit itchy, the towels were a bit grayish, we ask for a slippers but the frontdesk advise that it is not included in the accomodation and you need to pay for extra 35 pesos each person to have one. First time to hear that in a hotel accomodation. No laundry bag and they only give us a trash bag since their supplies for the laundry bag is not available. The light is quite din in the nights time no center white light for the night. We requested for a city view but we end up a view beside the LPU roofdeck. We also need to request for our toiletries. On the 2nd day they did not refill the hand towels. Overall our stay is not worth it for money even for the experience and surely we will never come back. This is one of the overated hotels posted online

I wish there was a bathtub but other than that PERFECT. The location is good because it’s easy to access many places near the hotel like walkable distance. And the staff there was so kind. Every time I asked them, they kindly answered my questions

Had to travel to Manila to complete a step in the dual citizenship process. The Bayleaf Hotel is in a perfect location if you need to visit the bureau of Immigration in Manila. Beyond the location being ideal the hotel is by far the nicest one I have stayed in while in the Philippines. Its not close to the airport so might not work as well if you only are spending one night during a layover. If you are planning to spend a few days in Manila, highly recommend giving it a try. The breakfast buffet in the morning was very satisfying and all of the different food and beverages options were top notch. We also dined in the restaurant on the penthouse level for lunch. The food was tasty and service outstanding. If I have to visit Manila again in the future I will definitely be booking a stay at the Bayleaf.

The Place is very nice and relaxing. You can hangout here with your family and love ones. And also breakfast are free and parking lot has lot of space for your cars. You can also have function here like debut, wedding and small celebrations. Services are also good and will serve you as it best.

I did not understand why each time i entered the hotel i would be questioned by the staff where and which room i was heading to? Is that your hotel policy of welcoming tourist? The room was too basic and table was full of ants. Water pressure at the shower room was pretty bad. The worst .... When i contacted the front desk for 4 bottles of drinking water she told me she would check if she could deliver that amount of drinking water. If i knew this earlier i would have continue staying with Ramada Manila.

Decent but disappointed. I am a regular guest in The Bayleaf Cavite so I expected a somehow of a the same experience.. but they are not on the same level.. the room is small, lobby is tiny and what surprised me is that they charge 35 pesos for a room slippers! I mean.. even a cheap hotel gives you this for free. Being a TBX member does you nothing.. The positive points of this hotel is the breakfast and the service. But if you are planning for a staycation here, save your money and go somewhere else!

Rooms were clean, comfy bed and pillows Service was great— friendly and amazing staff Perfect location for us since we attended a wedding nearby. There’s just a little complaint in the floor we stayed in. It’s quite noisy, we can hear cleaning, banging and dragging of furnitures the whole day. We stayed there for 2 nights so it’s the same the next day. We kinda slept late from a party and couldn’t sleep because voices of staff talking from outside the room was prevalent.

First time here. Hotel located inside iconic Intramuros. Although parking is an issue, street parking available. Rooftop restaurant definitely worth making reservations for. Absolutely stunning 360 views and fabulous food and drinks and excellent service. One of my new faves when in Manila. Live band on Saturday night. Try to get the second flood outdoor view deck tables. Fantastic romantic place for quiet dinners.

Rooms is spacious and nice and clean. Food is delicious but not much expensive. Sometimes they have promo. Theres live band at the rooftop and you can see a good view of Manila. Good ambiance. Not much expensive and not cheap. Their staff are hospitable.

I didn't like that they charged my card prior to checkin. Also staff is hmmm so so at best, except housekeeping, they were fine. The breakfast was ordinary at best. Minimal choices. The rooftop restaurant has a great view and good pizzas some nights. The beers were nice and cold. However, we ordered beef nachos one night and it came without half listed toppings and too the chips were stale. It's an expensive restaurant, but views make it worth it just once. I hated the area, intramuris, as there are so many destitute cats and dogs on the street. I was almost in tears every day. I spent my last day there buying cat food from the 7-11 and wandered the streets feeding as many as I could. The horses that they use for tourist carriage rides are also in terrible condition. Please don't use them. 😢

I've stayed here many times and it's generally a good charming hotel ensconced in Intramuros. I've seen it in much better times and it already shows its age. Maybe its owners might consider it's about time for a renovation. Nonetheless, its buffet breakfast, while not as extensive is sumptuous and delectable. Its roofdeck remains a great place to watch the sunset or have a moonlit dinner.

5 stars for intramuros location (easy transit options) and proximity to pedestrians underpass to SM mall. Rooms are on small side but adequate. Walls are bit thin. Views are good. Water pressure is awesome. AC can get overwhelming. 🙏 Breakfast is limited. Why no mangoes or fruit rotation? Just pineapple (bland) and watermelon daily. Staff was all professional and pleasant. Recommend for area. Would benefit from a business working area. One desk in room leaves roommate to fend for their own.

I stayed here with family back in December 2023. The property is really nice. Check-in was smooth and the rooms are really nice. However, we had a bad experience at the restaurant. We made reservations for the rooftop restaurant and we got there, they said they could not seat us there and instead we can go in their indoor restaurant on a lower level. They said because it may rain but we checked the weather forecast and it was fine so they let us get a table. The strange thing was that as more guests came, they gave them tables without making a fuss like they did with us. At checkout, they called a grab for my parents to get to their next destination, only to find out, they enter the wrong destination. Luckily my parents knew they were being taken the wrong way and the grab driver brought them to the right place, but was still charged the wrong amount which was quite more expensive. I stayed at the Manila Hotel the night after, and for a little bit more money, I highly recommend staying at the Manila Hotel instead.

Not a good choice to stay for your quarantine period. I booked my boyfriend for quarantine because he needed to go back to the Philippines because he developed mental illness overseas and with all the documents from the doctors we informed the hotel from the start when we booked for his stay that he needs to accompanied by one of his parents to look after him making sure he is taking his medication and attending his online counseling session. We understand that it is not the hotels’ call or decision if they can allow it that is why we are also coordinating with Bureau of Quarantine to get permission. The Front office supervisor named Ms. Shai Perez seems to be annoyed about the situation. We talked to her over the phone and she gave us a piece of her mind that since the guest have needs like that and having mental illness, we should be booking at the hospital instead because according to her that The Bayleaf Hotel is not that strict and cannot be liable if one of their quarantining guest go out of the hotel. If that is really happening I wonder how did the hotel got accredited as quarantine hotel? We decided to refund the down payment and look other hotel that have much knowledge about dealing with mental health issues It is disheartening that it is 2022 and discrimination against persons with mental illness still exist. We understand the protocol clearly and we are very much willing to comply. A little empathy goes a long way. We are beyond disappointed. Please be better.

Location was in the heart of Intramuros. The rooms were comfortable. The penthouse restaurant and the breakfast were good. There is a 7-eleven within a walking distance. Bathroom had insects and seemed old. Some parts in the room/bathroom were ignored for cleaning. No facilities: gyms, pools, etc.

Good ambiance. Easy to find, next to Mapua. Friendly staff and clean environment. Good enough for small events. Had the chance to observe at the back. Their function hall is spacious enough for 16-25 people plus space for the secretariat at an inconspicuous area at the back. Food is acceptable for the general Filipino palate. The pansit served for snack needs calamansi, just ask, because they may forget. The Tinola Soup for lunch was rich as an appetizer. Their sweet and sour cream dory fish and its pechay side dish paired with a garlic embellished white rice was good. Almond jelly tastes like your usual jelly, not too sweet or sticky, but it takes some getting used to because it has to be serve chilled. The ginataang bilo bilo, filling enough for a late afternoon snack, was placed in a hot chocolate cup for takeout, we thought we had a chocolate drink! Aircon was good and cold enough, need to bring a jacket. Surround speakers are centralized in traditional way, so 360 cameras that automatically follow the speaker will not work; You need to setup a manual video to man the device. Internet connection was good, from 3rd floor function hall up to the ground floor lobby, we had wifi connection without limit to devices, I think that was nice. Also worth mentioning is the stylish front lobby. Good enough for waiting for people. There's also a place beside it where you can eat breakfast if you have to. Overall, events here are cozy and affordable for a small time project event organizer.

Their 8th floor and roof deck has one of the best views in Manila. The room we stayed in overlooks a part of Intramuros and Manila City Hall. The place is cozy and tries to keep their place up-to-date. One thing that disappointed me is that room slippers wasn't provided given the price of the room that we checked-in. As of this writing, requesting for a pair of slippers from the Concierge costs an extra ₱35. The bathroom is clean, but the ceiling has stain marks from leaks. Make sure to check your towels if they're clean. Otherwise, have them replaced from the Concierge. Their toilet seat cover doesn't have soft close hinges so it slams on the bowl when it isn't closed carefully. The free tea bags provided in the room seem old, and possibly due to cost-cutting. I also suggest eating at the roof deck restaurant at night since it has a nice view of night lights in Manila.

If you are looking for a spotless clean hotel then this one is not for you. I'm on my first day of quarantine and I will be staying here for 9 days. Upon arrival I had to wait for almost an hour since my room was not ready which is not okay since I came from a very long flight. I had to follow up several times. They said they have to disinfect first before a guest can occupy the room. I found a cockroach in the bath room and some hairs in the shower area. Molds on the grout too. There were no facial or hand towel available. Floor is a little bit dusty and saw some stains on the curtain. Tv is a little outdated and wifi is horrible I can't stream any show on netflix or YouTube! Good thing i have mobile data. I booked this hotel because of the nice reviews but clearly I'm a little disappointed. I should've booked somewhere else.
