Bad maintenance, could improve their housekeeping service. When I first dropped in to my bedroom, I saw a few bugs underneath the blanket. I'm sure whoever was maintaining the rooms doesn't deep clean. If you're planning to have a comfy stay, please book other recommended hotels like Eurotel. Also $29 for booking here is not great.

Red Planet Mabini is not for everyone. The rooms are extremely small but clean. And basically all you get is a bed and a bathroom and an in-room safe. Do not expect anything else. The front desk staff is friendly. However, I found the security guards to be too territorial. It's a hotel not a military base. I was quite annoyed by the young male housekeeping staff on my floor. He was acting like he owns the floor and like I had to accommodate him. Also, the hotel is located in the entertainment district of Malate. You may be put off by some males bringing in guests to their room. Do not expect flexibility from Red Planet. They are infamous for charging you extra if you check-out a minute late.

No water. You have to request everytime you need one and they deliver in small papercups. If you can't live without coffee or tea, prepare for your death. But of course, there are cockroaches that make your stay one-of-a-kind. If you like the smell of cockroach, this is the place to be. For P1800/night, I didn't expect it to be good but NOT THIS BAD either!!! Swipe left!

I enjoyed my stay here after I settled in. The elevators are slow and marked for quarantine and non. Awesome view of the Bay from the 10th floor overlooking the water. AC for building lobby and hallways are out, so it gets hot inside. I was refused a discount on my meals at the Chinese Restaurant even though it was clearly posted that Red Planet customers could receive the discount, also it's pricey. 7-11 is convenient at the entrance to the hotel. I found the staff made my stay more convenient than anything else. Israel, Ming and the rest of the staff were always available to assist with directions on dining and getting around the city. The room was good and kept clean by Brennie and Jeso. I loved how security kept people from coming to your room if they weren't listed on the guest list! AC in the room was really good. It takes a minute to get warm water in the shower, but it's there. I also enjoyed the Earthquake while I was waking up! I thought someone had added a quarter to the bed! lol Street can be a little noisy and you hear barking dogs at night. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Views from my 10th floor window.

Unsatisfied of many things. Worst experience. Plug sockets ang broken. Internet speed is so slow and always get lost, tv are not that good. I can hear my room mate. Says no smoking but the room beside me keep smoking. They can't even do anything about it. No telephone, though they have this chat app but it doesn't work. If you need to ask fornt desk, you have to go out and call them using telephone outside near elevator. Worst hotel I guess.

Our stay was actually much better than I expected. The rooms are clean, bedsheets were fresh, location is convenient. Ultimately you get what you pay for. It was good value for the price. It isn't the biggest of rooms, but cozy and functional. There's also a 7-11 nearby, which was very nice.

This place was not ORIGINALLY BUILT for quarantine purposes. So you basically have a decent hotel room. No kettle to boil water, no chair to sit on in front of a table. There is a table that is on the side of the bed. Wifi could be better, decent hot water shower and no fridge. There are 3 hangers, a very good A/C, comfy bed/s, there's a 7/11 in front where you can buy your stuff, a chinese restaurant(though a bit pricey in my opinion) and hot water is being delivered to you 3 tines a day. Tbh, you can find a better hotel but a bit pricier. But if you are on a budget and maybe an experienced traveler then you might find this decent and enough for a quarantine stay. Maybe not good for a family size though. One or two people is perfect for the bedroom size. The staff is responsive and friendly.

I was here for my 6 days quarantine and booked a standard room which is small and outdated theres so many ants in the bathroom, foldable desk/table. Theres a safe box, no telephone, no microwave, no refigerator or even just a coffee maker in the room. The door is hard to open, soap dipensers cover comes off when you press them, the cable channels arent clear, wifi is decent and they have hot shower and noisy AC. If you have diet restrictions, either because of your health, religion or allergy they will still put the food you dont eat in the tray plate and can cross contaminate other foods which bad for those who have food allergies. They deliver a cup of hot water in the evening but no coffee or tea so you better bring some with you. They also allow you to order food from the chinese restaurant at the first floor of the building but their prices are very expensive and like the set meals their food isnt even that good for its price. At least the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall Im not coming back to this place nor recommend it.

I would rate Red Planet Manila Mabini 4.5 out of 5 stars. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and modern, and the overall experience was great. The only downside was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy at times.

During our staying moments we felt happy for our room. We felt safe due the key card, and we got the comfort we need due to space provided in the room and toilet/bath. Hope that you maintain the safest hotel as you are. Thank you

What an absolute dump of a hotel. This place is an absolute rip-off and they just treat their guests with contempt. The service here is absolutely disgraceful and the rooms are not fit for dogs. The TVs look like watching through a snowstorm and should have been thrown out 30 years ago The air conditioning is like listening to a cement truck in your room they are old outdated rubbish and they don't keep the rooms cold. These crooks and thieves that operate this place refuse to offer a refund because they know no one will ever come and pay money in this dump. Dirty old pillow slips. Disgusting toilet seats that fail health standards. AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE If I could give this a zero star rating I would because my rating for this place would be -10 out of 10. They don't provide slippers No hand towels No face washers No tissues No dental kits No towels in the room No tea or coffee No jug No soap No fridge No cups No glasses Nothing to boil water in This place is an absolute rip off and an absolute dump. You would be stupid to go here because it is nothing like any other red planet hotels it is such an inferior poor quality rundown dump. The staff here are ignorant lazy incompetent staff that don't care. This place is an absolute disgrace and I wouldn't recommend it for a dog. DO NOT STAY HERE it's terrible and so overpriced for the nothing you get. Don't water your money or time in this dump Rating Negative 10 out of 10

Stayed at Rm1015. This seems like a quarantine hotel since one of the two elevators is reserved. Because of this sometimes the proper elevator takes too long to arrive. The door to our room was very difficult to open.

I actually came here โ€˜by accidentโ€™ because there was a problem with my other hotel. I walked past this and then looked it up on Booking. The price was less than my other hotel and the lobby looked cleaner. The room was clean and comfortable but the aircon was a bit noisy. The shower was pretty good - very good compared to basically all other hotels I had stayed at during my trip to the Philippines. The lobby staff were great, doorman, and they got me a taxi at 4:30 am in the morning when I checked out. The area isnโ€™t the best but in Manila (not Makati) I think itโ€™s the best/acceptable, near the Sheraton. There are a few alright places round here once you get to know it - but itโ€™s not exactly super trendy. Itโ€™d be nice to see the area โ€˜cleaned upโ€™ a bit, with some โ€˜realโ€™ bars/restaurants This hotel is fine but given everything I was still satisfied with my stay

I recently had the opportunity to visit Red Planet Manila Mabini, and I must say, it was a truly comfortable and pleasant stay. The hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort, convenience, and overall experience. The moment I entered the hotel, I was greeted by friendly and accommodating staff who made me feel welcome right from the start. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, allowing me to settle into my room quickly. Speaking of the room, I was impressed by its cleanliness and modern design. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The amenities provided were sufficient, and everything was in excellent working condition. The location of the hotel was also a major advantage. Being situated in the heart of Manila, I found it convenient to access various attractions and restaurants. Public transportation options were easily accessible, making it effortless to navigate the city.

I had pleasure staying at Red Planet Manila Mabini during a business trip. From the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The decor was tastefully done, blending modern design elements with a touch of sophistication. The bed was plush and provided me with a night of uninterrupted sleep. The room amenities were top-notch, including a well-stocked mini-bar, a coffee machine, and a flat-screen TV with a wide selection of channels. The complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi was a bonus, allowing me to stay connected during my stay.

The rooms are clean, however, they won't clean them every day, and they would only do so when you request it. They have accommodating guards. No visitor is allowed except if your visitor leaves his/her I.D. at the lobby. The location is a red district in town. many foreigners can be seen in the area, including special services WOMEN that usually stand in the dark area of the streets, we call them VAMPIRES ๐Ÿ˜‚ because they can only be seen in the evening. kitting aside, Anyways, the Hotel is very accessible, and many convenience stores are present in the area, especially 7/11.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Red Planet Manila Mabini and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to popular attractions and dining options. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable experience. The highlight for me was the stunning rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline. I highly recommend Red Planet Manila Mabini for a fantastic stay in the heart of Manila.

The highlight of my stay at Red Planet Manila Mabini was the impeccable cleanliness. Housekeeping did an outstanding job of keeping the room spotless and tidying up on a daily basis. I felt at ease knowing that the hotel prioritized hygiene and sanitation, especially during these challenging times.

If you want basic (very basic) things a good option. No, facilities in the room. (tea, coffee or fridge). If you want your room cleaned you must contact reception. Oh there is also no phone in the room. AC was noisy and a loud dripping noise is heard throughout the night. I didn't complain as when I did reference the 711 cashier stealing, (711 is linked to the hotel) I didn't get any help. I gave 2021 pesos, thinking it was 221 pesos. (The total cost of my items). I got given change as though I'd paid 1021 pesos. This vonfused me. I realized when I checked my wallet in the room. As I withdraw 8000 and had 200 in my wallet, I now only had 6200 plus the change given. I reported it and asked them to check the cctv, they just told me, the change was correct. This is not what I was asking. That was my first experience in the Philippines, my mistake for getting the money mixed up but I shouldn't have been taken advantage of.

Well besides the clean comfy rooms, I enjoy free Wi-Fi. There are also restaurants where you eat if you don't plan to go to far. They also offer safety deposit boxes for extra security of your valuables and personal/important things /documents. Well the place is located in Mabini.. where party is 24/7!

  • 4/5 Rad W. 10 months ago on Google
The room looks clean. I just thought it's the same like their other hotels. Their Manila Bay and Binondo hotels are actually nice and modern. But their Mabini hotel is a bit old? But it is clean. Their cable was not working when I stayed there. And also, super slow internet/wifi and my data was slow too. I seriously would rather check in at Sogo Hotel ๐Ÿฅฒ

Rooms are small. Nothing in them and everything is horrible auld updated and in disgusting unhygienic condition. What a shocking place they don't supply anything. There is no fridge, no tea & coffee making facilities, nothing to boil the water in, no drinking glasses, no cups, no dental kits no slippers, no bottled water Nothing What a grubby rip off hotel. I wouldn't send to my worst enemy hare. Today's that look like they were dragged out of a tip. Filthy bathrooms. Terrible service Nothing but a complete rip off Zero out of 5 stars Don't get stuck in.this horrible hotel with terrible service and no facilities This place would fail examinations by health departments and should be closed down

I know this is a budget hotel but their sheets were the dirtiest I've seen in any hotel. I asked to be transferred to a different room but unfortunately the sheets were still dirty, just to a slightly lesser degree. I've never been more uncomfortable lying down on a bed and the stay wasn't worth it. I don't have to compare them to other brands because I've stayed in Red Planet Amorsolo (Makati) and the room I stayed in was super clean. I wouldn't recommend this branch even for refugees. They were kind enough to give me free late checkout because I got stuck in line at a medical laboratory nearby, so I gave three stars for service. P.S. Hair strands in photos aren't mine. It was that bad.

bed is ok and pillows are soft. room is a little cramped but clean and the tv only have cable, no usb either. wifi in the room is good and crews are polite. overall, its a good backpackers hotel/stay in the heart of manila.

  • 2/5 Anisar M. 7 months ago on Google
I regret that i booked their room, they don't have early check in for those coming abroad and had long 9 hours flight, i needed to wait outside for 4 hour more, then after waiting i was expecting that i can finally relax, but NOT AT ALL, because the pillows were smelly, bed looks not clean, i felt itching after laying down on the bed, also what i notice, there were under age girls with foreigner checked in the hotel, are they even allowed for that? They look like they are 13 or 15 years old with korean or Chinese people. I stayed 1 night only and i moved to another hotel, i was planning to cancel my booking but i couldn't so i have no choice than to stay one night.

  • 4/5 Junai S. 2 years ago on Google
Not so spacious considering it's a 2-star hotel however, the room is neat and clean. Telephones are still more convenient and helpful than email when contacting front desk.

  • 3/5 Mc F. 3 years ago on Google
So far it's good. The front desk, the securities, and others. But my concern is that, the net connection sometimes I suddenly got disconnected. And the one that really annoyed me is that, the wall has... I think have a leak. It has moist and get wet and all of the sudden the floor also get wet. I think there's a leak on the concretes. The floor and on the walls.

Terrible!! I wouldnt recomend this place for people to quarantine to. They will let you book and say that they have a shuttle to pick you up from the airport but omce you there at their front desk they will tell you that they dont have that service and still charge you for it..also it says on their website when booking is that smoking is allowed but then again once you get there they will tell you otherwise. Also its basically just a empty room for its price!! really wouldnt recomend it... Not a happy costumer here..

  • 2/5 Jan Louise P. 2 years ago on Google
The frontdesk and guards are helpful except for one thing. Room cleanliness and maintenance, The smell of the bed and the condition of pillows are unexceptional. And also if you stay here for quarantine if you donโ€™t bring your own food then you wonโ€™t be able to make it alive since they donโ€™t allow food deliveries. You can only buy food from their resto and itโ€™s to darn expensive. Stayed for 14days for quarantine and hell spent almost 20k just for food since i need to eat 3x a day. Terrible never gonna stay here again!!!!!

Harassed by the guard for using the wrong elevator coming down. Very unprofessional and physically got in my face when I went to go back up. Management might want to find new personnel that act in the best interests of clients. Not sure if this guy was drunk on the jobโ€ฆ canโ€™t even look professional.

Red Planet Mabini has very clean rooms (if a little dated), good service, a convenient location and very reasonable rates, especially if you book online. The wifi is mostly good too. The rooms are not big but are all you need for sleeping and showering. There are no kettles in the rooms, which would have been a nice addition to whip up some instant noodles. There is a 7-11 at the entrance though, which makes getting hot food easier.

Located at a very convenient place in Mabini Street, Malate, Manila. The price is very affordable just like any other Red Planet hotels. A walking distance to Robinsons Place Manila and also Malate Church. There is a 24/7 convenient store at the ground floor of the building. Just take note that there is no complimentary breakfast in this hotel.

The place is very nice, the room is clean as well as the bathroom. if you're a hygiene freak, you might like this place. Its very convenient to have a 7/11 just below the building that we're able to buy some on the go items that we need to get through the night especially snacks and coffee as we love to stay up late.

Highly recommended! Iโ€™ve been to other Red Planets and I can say this is one of their best locations. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The room is very clean and well maintained. The beds were super comfy. Would definielty come back here once I visit the area!

The location is convenient. You can easily go and buy foods. The staffs are friendly. I love that they are welcoming. The rooms are cleaned and had a nice over viewing spot. It's a nice place to stay. It's a quiet place and had a chill vibe. I love it! I will surely be back.

The temperature inside the room was hot. I don't know why there is a big ceiling fan inside even though there's an air conditioning unit. But still, this big ceiling fan can't compensate the hot temperature inside. The aircon is very weak. Checked in here recently 3x , and the main issue is the room temperature. Maybe they need to have a proper maintenance with their aging air conditioning unit.
