Booked this hotel for a quarantine stay because of the good reviews but so far our experience has been horrible. Place is decent but very difficult to contact the hotel. I also found the requirement of purchasing their food for 750 per day to be unreasonable. You'll also be unable to purchase water from them unless you purchase their food which I find inhumane. Water should be a basic necessity for hotels. Even toiletries aren't included in what you pay for. Aren't toothbrushes etc usually standard amenities of hotels. We booked this hotel in the hopes of lessening our expenses but with everything, we should have just booked a 5-star hotel that included food and water. I guess they're taking advantage of guests who have no choice but to either buy from them or die of hunger and thirst.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel in Manila for two nights and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. While the staff were polite and friendly and the location was strategically placed near key sites in Manila, there were several issues that detracted from our stay. Firstly, the hotel flooded even during small rainfall which caused inconvenience. Additionally, the rooms were not soundproof and we could hear other peopleโ€™s business in other rooms which disrupted our privacy and peace. The hotel only had two elevators which could be hazardous in case of a fire. We were also disappointed to find that the hotel did not provide free amenities like toothpaste or toothbrush, only soap and shampoo. The hot water was not stable which made it difficult to take a comfortable shower. Furthermore, always be careful since the hotel will not give you a copy of the terms and conditions. We also noticed that the sheets were not always cleaned as we saw blemishes. To top it off, we made the mistake of not putting our room on the cleanup roster in the morning and were fined 2,500 when we checked out which felt like an overkill. On a positive note, the hotel was somewhat affordable but the penalty negated any savings we may have had.

My wife and I checked in last August 11, 2022 for our US Embassy interview appointment. The rooms are clean and hotel staffs are good. When we left Manila going back to Cebu, we weren't able to remember that we left something from the vault lock. Hotel staff called and informed us about the item we left behind. The manager and the staff were so honest. We are very thankful for them. Commending this hotel for their honesty.

Staff - from the guards, housekeeping, front desk - are very courteous and nice. They attend to your needs in a timely manner and are very accommodating. Food - Food is great for the price. Serving is more than I expected. Room - It is cute. Modern-looking, functional, and much more than I expected bec of the cheap price. Iโ€™m blessed to get a room with a view of the Manila Bay, amazing sunset ๐Ÿ˜ Over-all, 10/10. Highly recommended esp if you have a tight budget, you wonโ€™t be disappointed.

We were under quarantine for 14 days in this hotel. They served us good food all throughout our stay. I even asked them to arrange some of our health documents and certifications from LGU's and they did! I will definitely recommend this to everyone. Good staff, very accommodating and polite.

One of the worst places Ive ever stayed. The ac leaked the entire five days and never was attempted to fix. The wifi never worked, the refrigerator never cooled, and they only answered their front desk phone one time. There was never any hot water to take a shower in. The only good part was my view of the water from my corner room on the 8th floor.

Nice and clean rooms, close to everything we wanted to see on our 2 day trip to Manila. Staff is very friendly and even upgraded us to a room with view of the bay because we had to wait for check-in pretty long. Only have three very minor complaints: - online payment didn't work, so had to pay at the hotel for an extra fee - we would've loved some water in the mini fridge to purchase - one of two elevators didn't work, so you had to wait to go down sometimes. All in all though it was amazing and we'd definitely come again.

Maybe next time you will try to compensate the prices, Cheaper on the online but a little bit expensive in walk in. Much better if the price is in the middle. I would love to visit next time with my family. I hope you can provide some free water, basic needs like other hotel. It would much apprexiated. ๐Ÿ‘

Booked last minute on hotels.com. Paid in full, confirmed. Got to the hotel, yes sir, we have your reservation. 5 minutes later, sorry sir, we have no rooms but we can transfer your reservation to another Red Planet significantly further away from the airport which will make tomorrowโ€™s transfer difficult. I suspect itโ€™s just incompetence, but fear it could be racial bias. Iโ€™d recommend avoiding this location.

Paid for a room, way in advance. My wife arrived to find out there is a lockdown. Guess what? They aren't accepting anyone to stay at the hotel. So my wife got kicked out and had to pay their "driver" 500php to HELP her find another hotel to stay in. In addition they told her my money was refunded, so I called hotels.com to check and it was not. It may be the perfect location for business purposes but stay away.

I can't complain. I seldom leave reviews but I will this time for the following reasons: The room we stayed has surpassed my expectation. It was minimalistic but classy. The staffs are very accommodating and respectful. They actually went an extra mile for me. The location is very accessible. It is easy to navigate with in the city. I've seen Red planet in different locations and in my future trips I will surely book with them again.

We had an appointment at the US Embassy and the Red Planet is a perfect place to stay. It's just walking distance from the US Embassy. The staff is very welcoming and honest. The room was very clean and comfortable. They even have board game activities at the lobby for the kids. They have limited parking though. But aside from that everything is excellent . ๐Ÿ˜Š

I would give them ZERO stars if I could. Was booking for my mom and they didnโ€™t allow her to check in to the hotel because she was unvaccinated. Take note, sheโ€™s a senior. I find it stupid to be so strict with vaccination when in fact this is a hotel. Of course, theyd be in an enclosed room and they wouldnโ€™t be walking around meeting strangers in the lobby right? Even stupid because they werent required an antigen test to board the plane. I asked for a refund and they wouldnโ€™t approve. LOL. How greedy for taking my money and no service given to me. Also, mom told me that front desk was so rude! Go somewhere else and thank me later.

Affordable and convenient for going to the embassy. But no amenities such as coffee or even water for coffee. No need to set the alarm for waking up! Other people made sure we were awakeโ€ฆ at 3:30 am.

We stayed there for 7 days. Everyone was so friendly and always greeted with a smile. All the Staff are very welcoming, exemplary service and approachable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking for a budget friendly safe place to stay that is accessible to all your basic needs and that is near US Embassy and St Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic.

They don't let you know that it's a covid hotel only until you walk in the door. They don't respond on messenger even if you have a simple question. Very poor communication. They stay silent when you make a reservation so they can make money

Hotels used for stopovers and stays Close to downtown and large shopping malls There is also a live house nearby, so it's perfect for enjoying food and live music. Accommodation rates are reasonable and staff are friendly. This is my favorite hotel because it is close to historical facilities, churches, and parks.

Rooms are air-conditioning, except to the entrance and whole ways. With Wifi, Smart TV, nice toilet and shower room except no bath tub, no microwave but with a hotpot, volts. Rooms are new, nice paint and clean. No supply of soap, shampoo, face towel so you have to bring your own. I'm at the side of the window overlooking the Manila Bay. For 35$ + tax etc. I'm so much happier than spend more of what you can't enjoy since you will only be staying inside of your room because of the quarantine restrictions. Thank you to Red Planet, Manila Bay Management and Staff. More blessings back to you as you continue to care for your own employees and so your customers. God is our true rewarder the same measurements we give to others. So keep up, improve if you can for a full satisfaction services, it shall come back to you with full measure too, pressed down shaken together, runneth over.

I recently stayed at the Hotel and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the rooms were spacious and modern, and the food was delicious! The view from my room was stunning - I could see for miles! Overall, Hotel is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway or an extended vacation. Highly recommended!

First time to stay at RP Manila Bay, but I've been a member and used other hotels since 2015. As usual, this RP has an impeccable service and cleanliness standard. However, some small things have been overlooked - soap dispenser wasn't working, roll-up window blinds were defective, and the bed linens were passed beyond crisp and white. The front desk also misinformed my companion about needing room keys to use the elevator to get up to the room. Other than that, we were satisfied with our stay. I'd like to commend the security guys. They were also very polite and friendly. Cons : very limited parking that i had to travel very early unnecessarily Cons: ambulant street vendors in the street

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Red Planet Manila Bay and overall, my experience was quite positive. Here's a detailed review of my stay: Location: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† The hotel's location is excellent, especially for those looking to explore the vibrant city of Manila. It is conveniently situated near popular tourist attractions and is within walking distance of the Manila Bay waterfront. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to public transportation options makes it easy to navigate the city.

I was pleasantly surprised by the affordable rates at this hotel, and despite the low cost, the staff delivered exceptional hospitality. Their warm and welcoming nature made me feel right at home. For a budget-friendly stay with excellent service, I highly recommend this hotel.

Positives: - Rooms were clean and tidy. - Hotel aesthetic was nice and elegant Negatives: - I couldn't sleep because the road noise was audible in the room even though I was on the 15th floor. Very bad choice if youre trying to get sleep.

Excellent stay for the price. The staff were very hospitable and I felt safe in the hotel. Great location for touring Intramuros or Rizal Park attractions. Some good food options nearby. Walls a bit thin, but Iโ€™m a heavy sleeper. I would stay again

A great hotel for travelers, I see a lot of complaints here about drainage outside the hotel- itโ€™s not their fault! In fact, it was a fun experience getting back into the hotel, my shoes off and carrying my girlfriend on my back. Traveling is about making memories. The one downside is that toilet paper is not included with the room.

  • 4/5 Gregmel D. 4 months ago on Google
A good place to stay, with a walking distance to the US embassy which was our purpose for the stay. And a great view of the Manila Bay. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, since I did not bring my toothbrush I was expecting that it was included in the amenities, but it wasn't.

Staff unreasonable . Will not recommend or stay again . Booked as a single person was booked into a room with two single beds . So requested if I could get some sheets/ blanket to fill gap between beds. This was too much to ask . Overall experience was unpleasant. Never recommend

Rating it as "okay". We booked for 2 adults and 2children. Bed and pillow is good. But there were only 2 bath towel. Bring your tooth paste and brush. Bring your own groceries. There are no complementary water or coffee. There is convenient store nearby. Grab food and grab car is very accessible. Very close to US Embassy, only 7mins by walk.

We stayed in the hotel for 7 nights for mandatory Covid quarantine. Room size is bit small, meals 3x a day is somewhat expensive but the amount of serving is okay. Menus are almost the same every day. No microwave. No toiletries provided except hand soap and body wash. Wifi connection very slow, may 5mbps on average. Parking space good only for maybe 5 cars at the most. You can only communicate to the front desk thru email. No maid service until you received negative Covid testing results. All staff are very helpful, accommodating and polite.

This is the best budget hotel you can get in the area of you plan to go to the US Embassy which is just a short walk from here. The area itself is not that great and poorly lit at night and doesn't have much of establishments nearby.

We stayed for 2 nights at Red Planet Manila bay because it's near manila ocean park and other places that we need to go to, and cheaper than other adjacent hotels. We are very satisfied with the nice, clean, well-lit rooms. Service crews from guards to frontdesk and housekeeping are also very nice. We'll definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family. They also have an app where you can easily reachout to the frontdesk via chat in case you need anything.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine desire to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
