The lobby/bar interior is uniquely designed and very instagrammable with a good blend of colors and interesting details. The rooms on the other hand have more subdued design and not too bright lights and has 10, 6, 4 bed configuration. As of this writing, the private rooms are under construction. Each bed has an outlet and a bulb. The common toilet and bath in the second floor is one of the most colorful I've seen!

Good location, fast elevators, has a bar/restaurant with live music on the first floor and the beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms could have been cleaner though. Staff are smiling and pleasant. Recommended!

This is the elevator to the rooms inside the building. Didnā€™t take any photos in the room but the room maintenance, hygiene, facilities were better than I expected to be honest. But I had no idea what kind of area itā€™s located and I arrived at night^^; not dangerous, nor loud at all, maybe just a bit much entertaining!!

This review is for the bar. The atmosphere that this bar has created is top-notch. With great food and drinks paired with some quality music, it'll make your stay worth the while. The only drawback for me is that the menu items are a bit pricey compared to other choices within the vicinity.

Love to chill at their bar from time to time. They have live bands sometimes which is a bonus! Food menu is decent as well as their price tags.

Location is great. Rooms are also good. Staff very helpful. I would want more windows in the room though.

We reported a lost item just the day after my friends and I went here. We asked them to review the CCTV, but the manager didnā€™t seem to be willing to help. Itā€™s been a week now and they still canā€™t tell if someone took the item or what. Be extra careful with your belongings when you visit this place.

By western standard, this is an excellent place for all type of backpackers. Friendly staff, clean and modern. There is a party area, a relaxing lounge, pantry etc. And it's well within the business capital Makati. 5 stars!

Transferred to this hostel right after I walked out of the horrendous Lokal Hostel. Found their services and facilities perfect! Bunk beds are awesome, though the mattress is a bit hard (maybe it's new?), doesn't wobble. It's meticulously designed ergonomically, their are designated hooks on the walls for your towels and stuff that you want to hang according to your assigned bed. They also include complementary toiletry kit upon check-in. Lockers and doors can be accessed with keycards! Lift and stairs are available. Sheets are immaculate and smelled nice, waaayyyy better than Z's and Lokal. Staff are helpful and courteous, checks out on me every time I pass by the reception as I wasn't really feeling well at that time. Lot's of food choices if you walk around the block. Not much social scene going on when I was there, pantry cum common room is on the 6th floor and nobody literally is in there. Overall, perfect for getting a good night's sleep and transits with walk-in rates reasonably priced.

I will be back for sure. The staff are super nice. 24h restaurant. Really clean. Tower for free. You can smoke at the terrace (in other hostels, even at the rooftops ) is forbidden.

It was like sleeping on the dancefloor. Way to loud, like the whole night. Sleeping is impossible would not recommend it to go here. Clean rooms nice restaurant, but in my opinion not a hostel or at least not that what is my definition of it. Kind of unpersonal.

I have been trying different hostels in Makati and my most recent stay is at Bunk 5021. Before we talk about the good sides, let's get the negatives out of the way. I booked a 4-bed shared room for my 2-day stay yet when I arrived, they put me in the one with 6 beds. They reasoned that the a/c in the room that I booked has a problem and apparently, the other 4-bed room is filled. I find this disappointing because... A. This shouldn't be my problem, at the least, they could have told me about the room issue before I arrived so I could manage my expectations. B. The 4-bed is slightly more expensive than the 6-bed, yet they didn't even offer to refund me. I hope next time they would prevent this from happening. The second issue, which, unfortunately, they won't be able to address is that it is located in Makati's red district. Even when you are up on the 4th floor, you will be hearing the noise of the bars downstairs in the middle of the night. This might be an issue for light sleepers, but nothing that a pair of earplugs cannot solve. So that's a tip, if you're staying here, bring earplugs. __________________________________________ On the good side, generally, my stay at Bunk 5021 has been good because of the following: 1. The staff is attentive and willing to provide guests what they need. For example, on my first day, somebody had smoked in our room, the smell of which lasted for the entire night, making it hard for me to sleep. The next day, I went to the reception to report it. When I requested that they move me to another room, they obliged, and this time, they put me in a room that I booked, the one with 4 beds. 2. It is less crowded than neighboring hostels in the area. 3. The food in their bar/resto is cheap but delicious. I recommend that you order their chicken popcorn and pancit lucban. Non-guests may also eat there. 4. The restrooms are generally clean. 5. The beds are comfy and they have the best locker. Spacious and no need to bring your own lock because it can be opened and locked by the same card key that you will use to enter the bedroom. 6. They provide toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap). 7. Rate is cheaper than other hostels in the area. That's it, all in all, I liked this hostel.

Facilities at this hostel are really nice. Nice and thick curtains that block out light and are great for privacy, really clean, they give you a toiletries pack, etc. My two stars has to do more with the people here and the lack of quiet hours. I woke up many times in the night (midnight through 4am) to people loudly talking and making noise, literally with zero consideration to anyone else. And I heard a few of them say they were just hanging out there and they werenā€™t actually staying in that room, I guess they met at the bar downstairs and were just keeping the party going in our dorm. I heard staff coming by as well so this seems to be the accepted norm. So maybe just donā€™t come here if you arenā€™t just looking for a bed before an early morning flight.<br/>Also, there are assigned towel hooks in the open area. Each hook is clearly marked with a dorm assignment. I hung my towel there before I went to sleep and the next morning it was gone and the hostel staff said I was responsible for it and had to pay 330 pesos. So maybe hang your towel in your dorm bed. The hostel staff was really apologetic but it seems as if there is no wiggle room in that policy... a bit ridiculous since the towels arenā€™t even marked so I could have just grabbed someone elseā€™s towel and claimed it was mine.
