An interesting monument to visit and the grounds are good for strolling around. One of the few places in Metro Manila that has a large outdoor green area that is completely open to the public.

Iconic feature of the University of the Philippines and this the most famous one in the Diliman campus. A photo ops must for visitors, as the Oblation is frame beautifully by the Quezon Hall's structure. (Or for a morr dramatic shot, by the steps of Quezon Hall looking towards University Avenue to have the Oblation's silhouette backdripped by the stretch of University Avenue and Commonwealth at the background.) ** Best to go there on a Sunday. Great place for a family day-out, an awesome alternative to the malls.

I'm not from UP, so I've never seen the Oblation up close, nor taken a picture of it. But seeing it up close really makes me feel a sense of awe and pride to be a Filipino. To everyone studying in UP, padayon!

Best place to run in metro manila! 2.3km academic oval loop, well paved, with the canopy of 70 year old acacia trees making it a refreshing, heat protected run! The oblation is of course the iconic symbol of the state university! My alma mater. Always an enjoyable, beautiful and memorable place!

Oblation statue serves as the main landmark and iconic symbol of UP Diliman University. This is one part of the big school grounds with different departments of building surrounded by lush greeneries and vast fields. Try visiting the Campus and you'll be amazed. You could also visit here when you olan to do exercises, do active sports or just pure relaxing with Most parts open to public =)

I went with family at 5:30 PM. The moonrise was excellent, and I captured pictures via short flight with a DJI Mini 3 Pro. Do note that flying any sort of UAV requires permission.

Being a graduate of UPD, the campus is close to my heart. My visit today is to attend a recognition ceremony for retirees who have given a big part of their lives to UPD and for employees who have given the extra mile in their service to the campus. I arrived at UPD in 1976 to start my journey to get my degree in BS Electrical Engineering... Through the years, I've witnessed the campus transition from halls housing different colleges to each college now having their own buildings. The latest I've observed is improvement in the land use transitioning the talahib filled idle land areas to spaces suitable for people (insiders and outsiders) to rejuvenate one's inner self.

I like that the university makes it a point yearly to redecorate the place in time for the much-awaited lantern parade. Plus points because there are street foods being sold within the area too.
