Anytime
Fitness
Eton
Tower
Makati
is
one
of
the
best
AF
branches
in
Metro
Manila,
period.
Located
on
the
second
floor
of
Eton
Tower
in
Makati,
this
branch
caters
to
those
who
work
in
the
various
offices
nearby,
as
well
as
Makati
residents.
Pay
parking
is
provided
in
the
building
itself,
but
I
am
not
sure
of
the
rates
as
I
would
usually
just
park
at
Greenbelt
and
walk
to
and
from
the
gym
via
the
elevated
walkway.
The
most
striking
thing
about
this
branch
is
just
how
big
and
spacious
the
place
is.
I
am
not
sure
how
it
was
pre-renovations,
but
the
current
state
feels
expansive,
with
machines
spaced
far
apart
from
each
other.
The
locker
area
and
bathrooms
at
the
far
right
corner
of
the
gym
are
separate
for
men
and
women.
In
terms
of
equipment,
the
place
is
absolutely
loaded.
Among
the
local
branches,
perhaps
only
AF
Circuit
Makati
outclasses
it
in
terms
of
diversity
of
equipment.
AF
Eton
Tower
Makati
does
things
better
in
every
other
aspect
(space,
location,
layout,
etc)
if
you
ask
me.
I
count
as
many
as
6
squat
racks,
plus
a
smith
machine.
That
is
the
most
I
have
seen
in
any
AF
branch
so
far,
abroad
included.
They
have
a
lot
of
plates,
which
include
color-coded
plates
(only
up
to
the
blue
20
kg
plates
though,
no
25
kg
red
plates),
the
newer
AF-branded
coated
plates
up
to
25
kg,
as
well
as
an
older
style
coated
plate
up
to
20
kg
that
AF
also
uses
in
their
older
branches.
There
are
two
cable
machines.
There
are
lot
of
machines
for
cardio,
including
a
long
row
of
stationary
bikes
which
can
be
used
for
spinning
classes.
With
that
said,
I
can
say
that
this
branch
should
be
able
to
handle
busy
hours
very
well,
with
less
waiting
times
versus
other
AF
branches.
Their
machines
are
of
the
Hammer
Strength
brand,
and
while
they
are
carryovers
from
pre-renovations,
they
are
all
still
in
great
condition
and/or
have
been
recently
serviced
(replacement
of
padding,
etc).
An
added
plus
for
me
is
that
their
seated
plate-loaded
chest
press
machine
is
the
same
one
Fitness
First
uses,
so
it
does
bring
back
some
nostalgia.
The
only
equipment
they
lack
would
be
a
deadlift
platform;
but
they
might
as
well
also
add
a
hack
squat
machine
and
abductor/adductor
machines
given
the
abundance
of
space.
In
terms
of
cleanliness,
the
newly
renovated
branch
is
still
very
clean.
Hopefully
the
branch
can
stay
as
such
with
time.
They
have
a
container
of
Chlorox
wipes
on
top
of
every
machine,
which
is
very
conducive
to
make
people
clean
the
equipment
before
and
after
use.
If
I
had
to
be
extra
critical,
here
are
some
negative
points
I
can
mention:
1.
The
safeties
for
the
squat
racks
seem
to
be
uneven.
The
left
side
is
more
upright/horizontal,
while
the
right
side
tends
to
slant
downwards
the
farther
away
from
the
rack.
If
I
go
as
low
as
I
can
during
barbell
back
squats,
the
bar
can
hit
the
left
safety
but
not
the
right
(even
at
the
lowest
placement),
offsetting
my
balance
and
losing
tightness
during
my
sets.
This
is
consistent
among
the
Hammer
Strength
racks
they
have,
upon
checking
other
safeties
also
in
place.
2.
Their
music
volume
can
be
a
bit
too
high,
so
those
who
prefer
to
use
their
own
music
may
not
be
able
to
do
so.
3.
The
staff
can
take
a
while
to
respond
online
during
weekends.
Hopefully
they
can
check
their
social
media
accounts
more
regularly
to
avoid
this.
As
is,
it
is
definitely
one
of
the
best
AF
branches
in
Metro
Manila.
It
can
even
be
at
the
top
of
many
AF
members'
lists,
depending
on
their
personal
preferences.
It
is
difficult
to
match
this
branch
in
terms
of
space,
equipment,
and
overall
vibe
(especially
now
while
it
is
newly
renovated).
This
is
essentially
now
my
go-to
AF
branch
in
Makati.
