Their staff might need some retraining. We waited quite a while to get our table cleared out even though the staff were just standing behind the counter—chatting. We cleared the table ourselves. The staff looked hesitant to attend to our table. We weren’t served water until we asked them for some. The food presentation was great but I wish it tasted as good as it looked. Coffee was so so. Would rather pay more money to eat at the Wildflour a few doors away.

Love the place. Friendly staff and good food. Minus 1 star because the kitchen already closes at 2pm.

I'll be relaying facts. What we've experienced. 2 female waitstaff. Both short haired. One has eyeglasses. One doesn't. 1. It's our first time to visit Toby's. We assisted ourselves to a seat. Short haired woman waitstaff - I Asked for a menu. Said we should order in the counter. Asked if we could keep an open tab. Said we couldn't. We complied. 2. Ordered potato chips so we could have some finger food while waiting for our mains. Asked for mayo, said there's only ketchup 3. Checked if anyone is around the dining area. Lahat nasa bar/counter. Went to the woman w eyeglasses. POLITELY Asked for the lady in eyeglasses to take a picture for us. She EXACTLY said, "Ahhh. Picture....." in a voice that is not sure if she's happy to assist or not. While she's taking a picture, there's a "face" from her. Afterwards, I said thank you miss. NO RESPONSE MADE FROM HER. 4. Food was served. We asked for extra tissue. The reason we asked for tissue: sa isang table, tatlo kami. At isa lang ung can of utensils. Sa isang can of utensils, ISA LANG UNG TISSUE. Ang ginawa ni Ms. Short Hair, kumuha ng isa pang can from other empty table. Total of 2 cans sa table, 2 PIECES OF TISSUE NAPKIN. We ordered dishes na slightly oily/oil based. KAILANGAN PO NAMIN NG TISSUE PARA SA TATLONG TAO THAT'S WHY WE ARE POLITLEY ASKING 5. I asked for hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Sabi ni Ms Eyeglasses, may iba pa po kayong kailangan para mabigay ko na? I said, yes, another bottle of water please. Mind the tone and face. You can check it sa cctv. (sa tono ng salita and facial expression, it's like her subtle way of saying, may iba pa ba kayong inuutos? Nakakaabala kayo eh. - Ganyan ung naramdaman namin. It's not us being sensitive. It's us feeling na hindi kami welcome) 6. Several foreign guests arrived. They said, "Good morning" with a wide smile in their faces. Pero nung kami, Wala kami nakuhang smile and greeting. 7. The foreigner behind us billed out. Bill was given to their table. And we said to ourselves, kala ko ba? Pay as you order? In summary, we felt like minamata ng dalawang waitstaff nyo. We felt there's no fairness sa pag trato ng guests. Leading to subtle rudeness. Ung kasama ko wants to ask for more ketchup, PERO NAHIYA NA. Kasi parang nakakahiya naman na talaga mag ask ng dining needs. To think there's even service charge, tapos ganito.... What's my purpose why I'm relaying these: 1. First time namin maexperience na "matahin". May we ask why? Kasi ba filipinos kami, or hindi kami regulars, or hindi kami foreigners? Kasi ba we looked casual and simple?

"Australian" cafe at Australian prices. Can't believe their coffee here costs as much as it would in Melbourne already! Also, I'm disappointed that the quality of their food has gone down... my french toast was drowning in syrup and butter and portion sizes were small. It was disappointing considering Australia is known for brunch but the cafe did not deliver. Also for anyone planning to do work here, there is no wifi.

Coffee is okay for Filipino standards but nothing special. Caesar salad is unedible. Waay too salty and fishy, the chicken was wet and had a weird texture, and the sauce a very awkward consistency. With all the other good places around i definitely wouldn’t recommend this one

Toby’s Estate Salcedo branch is my go-to place for quiet weekends. Perfect for brunch, business meetings or just quiet hangouts. They serve good coffee and food, a bit on the pricier side, but reasonable. I love their cakes too! Staff are well-trained and courteous, however, COVID-19 protocols are not that strictly implemented. Still a good café to hang out.

Good food, good service, great coffee. Only issue is that Makati does not allow motorcycles to park along the street.

Good food, great coffee, amazing desserts! I am a fan of this cafe and visit when I am off diet. I can't eat a lot of their foods when I'm on my strict phase which is low carb. I love their tiny little potato chips which is served with all their sandwiches. I'm not a sandwich girl but when I start craving for their chips (which they make themselves using actual potatoes) I order their grilled cheese. The Bogtrotter Chocolate cake is so rich that you need three or four people to eat it. 😂😂😂 The coffee I always order here is the Flat White....

I like the place, white cold brew was good. Salmon and egg was so so due to stones found in the rice. Music is nice. Bathroom sanitation needs work. It looks clean but the smell isn't pleasant.

This Toby's branch is quite nice and has lots of tables and seats. There are some areas where you can plug in your laptop so you can work or study. I was here during a work day in the afternoon and it was quiet during that time but became full as the evening came. The service is good, the servers are very attentive to your needs. The pimiento bagel I tried was delicious with generous servings of cream cheese with different flavours to choose from. The coffee I ordered, mocha, was delicious as well.

Come for the Japanese style brewed coffee, but stay for the salmon and bagel with cream cheese. Also try the mixed berry smoothie bowl for dessert. If you are into healthy greens, they offer an arugula salad. The placements are fun to read while you wait for your food.

It's not my first time drinking coffee with a foam art but I appreciate how they do the art here. It's tastefully done which suits the overall vibe of the place. Anyway, upon sipping the coffee, I could already tell that its taste is special and the coffee taste stands out amidst the presence of the milk and the sugar. The blend they're using must be really special. So I think that those who want to indulge themselves with a good cup of coffee as well as a relaxing experience should go here. By the way, I tried working here and conducting a meeting and the place is conducive. This can serve as a coffice "coffee shop + office."

Cool coffee shop with unique offering of single origin coffee. The place is very cozy and friendly. Very light in the mood yet its so upscally. I liked this place. You can order customised coffee but my now favorite is the Gilbraltar blend.

Good coffee and sausage roll. Could’ve been a great experience except for the annoying ‘diva’ attitude of a male barista. 🤨

Toby’s is our go to place for good flat white. The place itself has a nice open ambiance perfect for afternoon coffee breaks and brunch on the weekends. Highly recommend their flat white it has a good balance of a strong espresso and that consistent microfoam on the top with various different designs. They also have a very generous serving size.

Went here for some "me" time and was not disappointed. Went here around 10am, there aren't much customers. The warm and relaxed ambiance provided me a few hours of solitude joy. I wish I can stay longer but have to work. 😬 Pasta was a bit pricey but satisfying. I didn't enjoy the coffee. Expensive but not served hot.

Lack of staff on duty on a Sunday lunch time in Makati/Leviste branch. Even yesterday on a Saturday lunchtime, despite the fact that there's more than 2 crew on duty, service is too slow and staff are very unfriendly and unaccommodating for a food place/coffee shop. Outside area is also not clean, lots of flies flying around and on the tables themselves because they refuse to bust out the tables long after the customer's gone. They only clean it when there's another customer asked to be seated on that table.

  • 3/5 Carlo G. 1 year ago on Google
Good mocha. Buck’s and cream is also good. Service could be better. I don’t know what is up with the people manning the counter here and the Legazpi village branch but they’re all arrogant and snooty. They don’t greet you good morning.. no thank you… unless you’re caucasian i guess.

They have an al fresco area so you can bring your pets. The food is served fast. The corned beef with hash brown was good, but i felt it needed bread with it to balance the flavor because the dish is very savory, including the crispy potato.

  • 2/5 Peter K. 4 months ago on Google
The coffee tasted really bad, but I liked the corned beef and hash. My wife did not like her dish (don't remember the name, something with spam) l. You have to order and pay at the counter, but they will bring the food and drinks to your table. Overall I don't think we are coming back and I can't recommend the place.

Well, second times here. They always have nice staffs, clean and cozy ambience over here. Also delicious coffees and foods. This time had been tried their breakfast and also braised chicken with red wine, hot flat white as well. Hmm mm. Tasty.

Coffee is good and beautifully presented. Pork tenderloin with quinoa salad that I ordered was filling. Last time I was here, there was a friendly dog roaming around in the cafe, which I think is a plus.

Hmmmmm.. I'll start with the positives.. Very good service.. the guys are all friendly and accommodating. The space is excellent.. Nice ambience.. Neat and tidy.. The coffee (cappuccino with extra shot) was full flavoured and tasty but not quite hot enough.. Very pricey though p210 is roughly 30% more than you will pay for some of the world's best coffee in Melbourne.. So it seems a bit steep.. Biggest negative though is... No WiFi !! Can't be a serious café without WiFi in 2020 in my opinion... Food looked great and not over the top pricey but I didn't try it.

Though it’s coffee is nice, I don’t really recommend it’s overpriced little cup of coffee. The food like pasta is so so, and it will not make your appetite satisfied. Just be aware that it’s not worthwhile for everyday routine.
