The ambience looks lavish but dark. At night, the lobby does not look well lighted. Entering is also a challenge: one cannot easily find where the lobby is and guards cannot easily be found along the sidewalks facing Ayala and Makati Avenues. Only to find out that the entrance is on the other side of the building. Rooms are lavish and very comfortable... One will surely enjoy the amenties afforded to guests. The Old Manila restaurant is located inside a 5-star classy Peninsula Manila hotel. The food was good, food presentation was beautiful but the service was very slow. We had to wait for a while for the servers to come around, starting from taking our drink orders, up to getting our check. For being an expensive place, they need to step up their waitstaff service.

The Peninsula Hotel has always been my favourite hang out place. The ambiance is very classy and the music coming from the orchestra was heavenly. A bit on the pricey side but if you want good service and good food, you have to pay for it. Kudos to you!

Eating in the lobby of the Peninsula felt very grand and the live orchestra playing in the background gave the atmosphere feel of being in a grand ballroom. Food was ok and didn't justify the high prices. Was turned off that you have to wear a sport coat despite seeing people walking around in sandals and shorts.

Small details matter. That has always been the Peninsula Manila experience....excellence.

Very well maintained hotel in Makati. It is in the middle of the busy city. But inside it is cool, green and serene. As you enter the lobby you will be overwhelmed by the grandeur and sophistication. It looks like a royal palace. We visited to dine and our destination was the Spices. This restaurant is a classic one, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool and lush green gardens. If the ambience was good the food was better and best served true to the 5 star rating. Please note the lunch session closes at 2 pm.
