The Medical City

Hospital

🫤 My review for medical city is based on my visits over 10 years. I believe most of the problems are coming from the management because the staff are friendly and knowledgeable in general and willing to help but there is only so much they can do . Everything in general is very slow in medical city... People often mention hospital, hours, time, patients, doctors, waiting, service, medical, people, wait,

My review for medical city is based on my visits over 10 years. I believe most of the problems are coming from the management because the staff are friendly and knowledgeable in general and willing to help but there is only so much they can do . Everything in general is very slow in medical city . Sometimes it will takes hours for you to be able to get one admission paper . Most of the private doctors will not visit you on time and you need to wait in front of their clinic for a long time . Not to mention that for you to get inside the elevator you need to stay in a long line . For me the worst part is the parking they have a one of a kind approach . When you use the hospital parking ,aside from the parking ticket they give you another piece of paper to have it sign by the department you are visiting if not need to get another paper and have it signed any department you go and give it back to the cashier if not you will. There are better hospitals in manila for sure I suggest you do a bit of research and see if you can go somewhere ealse

A big hospital located along a highway so it is really accessible specially so that there are buses and jeepneys passing by. The facilities are well kept and the staff are really courteous. There are restaurants surrounding it and there's also a drugstore for your basic medical needs. A bank is available across the main building. Everything go with higher prices. Other big hospitals offer the same services but with more reasonable rates. Never park on the "reserved" slots at the basement parkings because they will charge you Php500.00 without a warning even if you just left your car for a minute. No grace period for the parking so once you enter, that's it. You'll be charged Php50.00 for the 1st two hours and Php20.00 for succeeding hours. They accept credit/debit cards and cash as modes of payment. Major HMOs are also allowed.

Arrived at ER at 9:18pm due to chest pain, when ECG was normal, they seemed became lax already. Doctor was able to check me past 10pm, so I waited in the waiting area for more than an hour. So, doctor checked me and advised I need to undergo blood extraction. Blood extraction was facilitated past 11pm, an hour after the doctor's check. Then, the results took 2 hours. Then recharge took time too. All in all, I spent 5 hours in the ER mostly just waiting. I know they need to attend to other patients with more urgent needs, but 5 hours of mostly just waiting is too much! This is the slowest hospital ever!

Was at the ER for nearly 15 hours. Was asked to sit on an uncomfortable chair while I battle fever and nausea. Luckily my male nurses are considerate, one allowed me to nap at a nearby bed while waiting, and the other made sure I am attended to. My HMO was billed 23k in total, and I truly feel that with that amount services can be better. Please provide beds for those clearly in pain. Not trying to be special but with people who are sick and arr flocking to get medication, we can be more considerate. Shouout to 2 of my male nurses who assisted and cared for me that day. Sorry I was too sick to remember your names but I appreciate you both.

Was planning to get checked here and my family too but just reading the other reviews scared us. Wake up TMC, it's 2022 already. Edit to reply to you. It saddens me that I actually try to give you a chance. I went to your hospital emergency area on Jan 12 at night. I was just asking for a little help, just to get checked and get some medicine but I was turned away, asked to scan a QR code to make an appointment and the next schedule available was Jan 14. I'm coming to you to get urgent medical advise/care and you want me to make an appointment and come back after 2 days? I even asked what if i get worse the next day and was told i could come back but still no assurance i would get checked and still had to make an appointment. What if i just die at your doorstep. I know this are hard times but you guys are crazy, why would I ever wanna go back to your hospital or recommend it to anyone. And I know you guys don't really care but it's your job to reply to the reviews. I wish you well TMC but I want nothing to do with you or your business. If anyone planning to go here has the chance or can go to another hospital, please do so.

God bless all of you! Thank you for everything, but you don't deserve my 5, not even my 1. Though if I could give a separate 5 for the Nurses alone, I will. People may say, if you don't have lots of money, you avoid private hospitals like this. At first, we didn't know that my niece condition was that worst, we did not expect her to stay longer than even a day. We were overwhelmed. In the end, when we were able to get out, and our patient is due for follow up, all of a sudden both her Doctor and Hema are sick and on indefinite leave? Seriously, no substitute to take care of their patients??? CANCER PATIENTS??? Not even a recommendation for the next hospital was issued when you all know that she has to be transferred by all means. So, NO.... you don't deserve any rating.

One of the worst administrative services. Bad attitude of some department , specially the ambulatory. They should re study good manners and right conduct and on how to deal with patients. Doctors are OK, but if you cannot do your laboratory and images properly because of bad attitude of employees, you may want to consider also other hospital for the procedures. Before in Medical City... Patients are partners....NOW.... You are just a Patient ... so be patient

Located within the Ortigas Central Business District in Quezon City. They are one of the Philippines' largest multi-specialty hospitals that has been around for quite a while now. Their facilities are well-managed, from the parking lot, to the lobby, even when there are quite a few people queueing up on the elevator. Nurses are responsive and courteous. Only downside was the payment method in one of the doctor's clinic which does not offer any cashless payments at all. I hope to see an improvement in this aspect.

The healthcare services is good but the wait just for accounting is extremely long. It took almost 2 hours for them to just provide the bill. There were some necessary paperwork that needs to be provided but nobody told us. We had to call just to find out. You have to take your time at billing just to pay for it. Slowest hospital I've been to. Avoid if you can.

I agree with TM's review, that the ER section is consistent, consistently slow. I could feel that all nurses were doing a lot of different things at a time and no one was paying attention if you were there waiting for a very long time. TM suffered a 3 hour of lost time. I was discharged after 5 hours (I was there at 9:25AM and was out at 2:30PM) just because of anti-rabies injection. Some people here who rated Medical City with 5-stars, I salute you. During the time that you were there or talking to them, there were probably so many staff to help. If they are under-staffed, they should hire more people so patients will not suffer. I cannot even go out to buy food because they say "not permitted" if you are the patient (with the red band in the arm). Medical City should review their code again and implement measures to facilitate under-staffed hours. For life-threatening cases, I guess they will be treated immediately. The (2nd) nurse who treated me seemed to be in a hurry to get out as she was not really paying attention to details. My wounds were not cleaned satisfactorily. Two hours of waiting (not life-threatening) is still acceptable. But for 5 hours?? Man, really too much. For billing issues, they are really quick though... Second Review: I see some reviews here about the ER that was made around 8-9 months ago, and the reviewers were fuming with anger. And I saw a reply from the management that they will do something about it and they will review their resources. This was 8-9 months ago! Did it change??? Don't reply and promise without really putting your heart into it. What a waste!!!

I had an incredible experience at The Medical City Ortigas where I received top-notch care. Dr. Joseph Augustus Lopez, an exceptional ENT Doctor, performed a life-changing surgery on my ear. After struggling with partial deafness for most of my life and encountering disappointments with various ENT Doctors, including those at other renowned hospitals, Dr. Lopez's skillful surgery was a turning point. Despite the higher cost compared to other hospitals and the challenge of commuting due to heavy traffic, the care I received was worth it. I vividly remember waking up after the surgery and being able to hear background noises—moments that filled me with tears of joy. The sound of the door opening and the chatter of people around me were like music to my ears even with bandage around my head (it was an odd and incredible sensation). Not only did this surgery enhance my quality of life, but it also led to a promotion from my job. I'm forever grateful to Dr. Lopez and The Medical City Ortigas for their exceptional care, expertise, and for bringing back the joy of hearing to my life. This experience has left an indelible mark, and I will always cherish the memories associated with this remarkable hospital and its dedicated staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Arrived at 7PM Dec9. Went straight to ER due to unbearable chest pain. When they saw the ECG result normal they seemed to relax already waited for an hour and for another hour and results will be available in 2-3hrs. All you will do here is to wait. Atleast the security guards were the only ones approachable. Nurses won't prioritize you believe me I was standing inside the consultation room and nurses with their chitchats over their boyfriends and plans later on is their priority. No one will be asking how can they be of help with a pain aching on your chest. Worst really.

Most of the doctors here are unprofessional when it comes to time. you will always be the one to have patience with them. if clinic is 1-3pm, they will start at 3pm onwards. they don't care of the patients waiting. if they will not arrive on time, they should atleast notify their secretary of their expected time of arrival to notify the patients. very filipino time.

The hospital layout is confusing if you're not familiar. The rooms are comfortable and offer air conditioning and a bathroom for confined patients. There are numerous food establishments scattered across the hospital and a variety of cuisines to choose from.

We paid over 30,000 pesos for an Executive Checkup. You would think they would at least treat us with executive customer service. My husband left his receipt in the PH so I need a duplicate. It is unbelievable all they are requiring to get a copy of the receipt! We’ve been emailing back and forth for 2 days now using the email address that THEY HAVE ON FILE! It’s not like some random email we are using. We have had multiple checkups in the past and they won’t send a receipt as if they are punishing us for losing it! Not only that, but the Customer Service Specialist (I will leave unnamed), is the only one who has emailed me. I haven’t even received a reply from Records or Accounting. I’m switching to St Luke’s!!!

I was admitted in the ER Oct 21 (monday). They said they had to put an IV on me. This guy nurse started to find a vein on my right hand and penetrated my skin. HE MISSED and was trying to adjust the needle by moving it in and out. I don't know how your nurses in the ER passed the exam if they can't even get an IV done right in one go. it's been 3 days and my right hand still hurts from that miscalculation.

I had my ungiectomy done here. I had the best experience and I received excellent quality service. Kudos to the nurses and doctors of this hospital. The nurses were attentive and helpful. Doctor Fuentes explained the procedure properly. The surgery was done swiftly and it was virtually painless. They accept Intellicare HMO. Parking spaces are available. The only downside is the waiting time for the bill took 30 minutes.

The Medical City's FB page is quick to respond and give assistance. The hotline number however, is not really that much of a help. You get to be transferred several times to extensions that's not picking up or not working. The hospital's service is great and facilities I can say; except for the outpatient department. Ang hirap magpa appointment sa mga laboratories at sa mga doctors.

The main lobby will give you a feeling of being in a resort or hotel lobby. The newly open Central Park will be an extra treat, an amenity area that will give patients and visitors the feeling of being at home in their own garden. Doctors here are the best in the country. State of the art facilities and high tech medical equipment. How I wish every Filipino can experience the medical care and assistance at Thé Medical City.❤️ March 4, 2020, I went to the Ambulatory Service Center- as usual long line but patients are comfortably seated and patiently waiting. I have been on food and water fasting for my blood extraction. Not to over fast I approached the lady at the counter 4, to let her know of my situation. She was so quick in attending to my concern and never ask for anything, not even my ID or HMO. She accompanied me at the blood extraction area and everything I need was well taken cared of because of her. Thank you very much Ms. Maria Concepcion Calayan Golla for your kind assistance and compassion. Keep up the excellent work. May your tribe increase. All the best!❤️

I’m currently in the hospital while writing this review. I’m scheduled at 8am for my treatment and they advise me to come an hour prior to it. Upon registration and assigning me to my room my Doctor and her fellow assessed me around 8:45-9 and I was told that my medication is not currently available but the hosp was able to get it from outside pharmacy and it’s already on the way. 10am came and a hosp personnel informed me that the medication will be available at around 1-2pm. All along i thought it was on the way already, no one aside from her informed me, leaving my house at 2:30am just to make it on time is not a joke! This is a very disappointing day for me. Very unprofessional, very regretful experience & very stressful day for me.

This is happening right at this moment i am typing this review. My mother is in critical condition due to breast cancer and wanted to just go home (as her physician recommended it is too late, she is weak and in her final stage) She is not doing well and in pain and her REQUEST IS JUST TO GO HOME. My sisters are waiting for the ambulance to take her home because she is very weak. It took them so long that my family just decided to take her home. I couldn't believe they will let a patient, my mother, who is critically ill to wait that long just to go home. I am very disgusted with how the process and treatment with a critically ill patient. Do not bring your family in this hospital!

Their queue system in Intellicare Medical System needs to improve A LOT. When I got in they were calling for A110, my number was A111. They called my number after 45 minutes, having called first more than 10 people that came after me. I asked the ladies nicely twice and was just told to wait and sit down. Very inefficient system, and staff was not helpful. 2 of them were playing mobile games or texting or what not while only 2 worked . The other after playing mobile games went to a doctor's room to eat.

The nurses at the ER is not giving much details about the process and how you will be assisted, specially if you are using a HMO card.. Without knowing what the coverage of the card is, they immediately say that you have to pay this amount if it won't be approved.. They are discouraging you to get medical attention from them if you're a medical insurance cardholder.. It gives patients fear that they will pay huge amount if they can't use their card.. Telling you that you have to gamble if you'll get approved or not.. Not to mention, the way they value their patient's time like they just don't care if you are already waiting for your turn for hours, and if you're turning pale, unless you drop dead on the floor.. They just care about money making.. Just read their motto and you will know what I mean.. One of the worst, if not the worst, hospitals i've ever been..

Sitting and waiting for an hour for my doctor. Wouldn't be so bad, but they piped in music for the patients to listen to. The problem? They only played ONE song. So, one song, on repeat. For over an hour. Why.

The process is super slow and for some reason. The other nurses had no clue what they should be doing. I had a nurse asking me if some questions for consultation whereas I specifically told them I returned only for CBC. I waited 6 hours in the ER just go get all of the process done, they let a sick man wait for 6 hours and I feel tired and hungry. This hospital needs to move fast

Medical City provides a good service to the community. However, would really like to see better communication and updates on its website. Please tell your patients when doctors are in or on holidays, on sick leave and/or available. It saves us making unnecessary trips to find empty clinics! Even information desk doesn't know if doctors are in or not. Surely, doctor assistants can keep the website updated as part of their job?

They will make you wait for hours in the emergency area. Don't ever go here if you're expecting an actual emergency. Incompetent doctors deciding to deploy intern doctors to test injection on real patients is the dumbest thing I've seen today, in the emergency section pa! Patients aren't guinea pigs! If you want world class slow service and probably assisted suicide, then look no further than this hospital. Because apparently an emergency to them is not treated as an emergency.

Accommodating and approachable medical people. And they responds immediately to inquiries via Messenger and gives you helpful answers. Thank you, TMC!

I gave birth here and while my labor and delivery experience was excellent - the events that followed after were horrendous!!! Not even a week after my delivery, my son was having health concerns so we took him to the Pediatric ER. The pediatric ER doctor assigned to us was INCREDIBLY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. She had so many side comments and gave so much unsolicited personal advice, completely ignoring my child’s health concerns. Furthermore, interns would just suddenly swoop in at moments when my family required privacy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TMC especially for Pediatric concerns. It was such a nightmare and I really hope they check on their doctors’ competency especially in the pediatric ER!!!

i believe i had a panic attack that time and i didn't know my state that time.. i am hyperventilating and came from Ambulance. From the ambulance i took an oxygen as i remember that cools me down before arriving the hospital. Since i have panic attack that time, i believe i have sensitive with noise but i didn't know it that time. In the hospital, i feel ok from the start. They took some blood and they given me X-ray and ECG i believe. the place is a bit noisy and i feel like i am not safe already, I believe my panic attack triggers again. my condition is started again and it getting worse. I am trying to find some place that i could breath freely and for me to feel safe but lots of nurses/doctors telling to me that i need to go back there..i think i am kind of already making a scene there and they ask some guard already since i am already panicking and my condition is getting worse already because i am getting overwhelm with a lot of people talking to me.. and i ask some people if i could go to a room for me to cooldown. they took me to a place and that relieve me a bit and i decided to them that i want to leave already and i ask for the bill .. i believe i took only 3 to 4 hrs or less stay in that hospital and i got billed for 27k. I just think that this hospital is just expensive, and i don’t have money back then and don’t have health card yet. i was very thankful that i have my credit card. I paid it and leave that place panicking and without knowing what is happening to me that time. I visit different big hospitals because i have disease and this is very weird experience so i wanted to do a review :) ER, Panic Attack, Noises, Expensive

Thank you for the prudent response to my brother’s emergency situation. The doctors are of high calibre and nurses really want to make their patients get well as soon as possible without rushing you to do things. My brother went on operation even without initial monetary deposit. Of course the price is higher compared to other medical facilities but you will get the best treatment possible.

On February 2, around 2pm, my parents who are both seniors went to the Emergency Department at The Medical City Ortigas due to low energy level. Unfortunately, as of 2am the next day (12 hours) , they are still waiting for the necessary tests specifically MRI when I don't understand the long wait hours given that they rushed to ER for URGENT CARE. UPDATE: Dad had a mild stroke they are able to detect it 12 HOURS AFTER WAITING INSISE ER. TRUE TO OTHER REVIEWS DO NOT GO HERE FOR URGENT CARE IF YOU STILL WANT TO LIVE! While I understand that emergencies can be unpredictable, the extended wait time raises concerns about the department's sense of urgency, particularly given the nature of an ER. Furthermore, the lack of clarity regarding my parents' need for admission is concerning. Additionally, we were informed that even if my father requires admission, they are fully booked and there would be another wait. This entire experience has been frustrating and leaves us questioning the efficiency and preparedness of the ER department to handle urgent cases

I've been admitted to medical for more almost 6 months and even though i was really sick i was treated properly by the nurses my doctors were very nice as well. HEALTH is WEALTH🙏🏻 We cannot predict when sickness will strike but it is comforting to know that there are hospitals where patients are well taken cared of and, even considered as partners. The Medical City is a tertiary care hospital in the Philippines where its health care complex serves some 40,000 in-patients and 400,000 out-patients annually. TMC has a medical staff of over 1,000 physicians complemented by 2,200 workers engaged in allied medical, administrative and support services For assistance, you may call 988-1000. #MillionaireMakerMoment✔️

Psych ward is run by narcissists. Over-priced hygienic hospital littered with rules designed to make you wait for hours to be provided with brown rice. It gets more dangerous after that. Doctors can lie about hospital policies. Hospital policies can keep you from getting examined by the Wellness Center so that the psych ward administrators can give you the wrong diagnosis. If you have money, you will be discharged prematurely, if you don't have money - you have to physically escape (impossible in a psych ward but doable for other operations). The worse part? Makati Med and Saint Luke's are worse because this is the only hospital in the capital area to really care about mental health environment. That's not saying a lot when their paid International shills promote such fears as staff wanting to deprive you of proper bed posture because hospital policy investigators rate them based on if you are handed "a" pillow.

(Translated by Google) Healthcare and hospitalizarion services in the Philippines are still far from other countries. You are dying but you are still waiting and what pisses me off is while waiting for these vultures of medical sales rep would suddenly come in to bother doctors taking the time alloted for patients waiting for an hour or two. This is a bad system eh. In other countries no sales reps can be inserted. They should be contacted at the purchasing or back office. Plus here the doctors in the USA are hospital employees so that's 9 to 5 jobs. I don't understand anymore if it is a culture or rotten systema. No matter how nice the hospital may be if the hotel is still a hotel if patients are not getting their monies worth, then this is purely a business that only wins one side. Got a win-win situation. We all benefit from quality service. (Original) Healthcare and hospitalizarion services in the Philippines is still far from other countries. I went to their Emergency last October at 9am because I was suffering from on and fever for four days. They immediately check my condition and took a blood sample. The worst thing is they made me wait until 3pm just to get the CBC result that was already released at 11am. KUNG HINDI PA KO NANGULIT, HINDI KO PA MAKUKUHA. Another situation, my Mother went their for an eye check up. She was referred to several doctors and was prescribed A LOT of Meds. For her follow up check up, same things happened, different doctors. PINAGPASA PASAHAN SIYA. Worst case they changed one of the prescribed Meds and argue why the other doctor prescribe too much meds. Sana naman maayos yung system. Yung pasyente pa magkakandahirap maghanap ng doctor. Buti po sana kung bata pa yung patient. Anyway , regardless of age be responsible guys. Please be accurate, eye meds are not cheap.

Care for the elderly, our parents we brought them here for Fundus Photo & Diabetic Foot Diagnostics exams where 2-3 working days results. Courteous staffs. Parking. Off-city. Near Megamall 10-min away. Php 2,500 after the senior citizen discount. Oh you’d need an appointment before doing the exams please. Oh BTW, and I 👍 👍this, when you’re to get out please pay your parking at any nearest lobby parking cashier ( now Apr 2019 it’s at B2 level only) with your parking card so when you drive out you won’t queue up anymore and use fast lane/exit as you’ve paid already. Smart! Same building you’ll see Seven Eleven & Mercury Drug. Today, holy Monday 2019. An emergency for my Dad: Very friendly professional Nurses and Doctors. Organised. Well thought out process especially emergency admissions. Relaxed environment posing no stress for patients and guardians. You will love their services as a Pinoy hospitality culture is there. Dad’s here and I am most comfortable with them. Skillfull talaga sila. God bless you all mam, sir, doc. Opposite TMC is Rockwell Business Centre, just walk across and you’ll find 24h Jollibee & Army Navy. Also there are: Mary Grace, KFC, and many more. - Friends, today 3rd July, clinic check up with Dad. Parking is challenging. God-given public parking - Friends, for those who are new who may benefit for today’s another visit to good ol TMC ( 11.11.2109 ) the process goes: Subject: Laboratory Blood Test, PTPA, Kreatinin, then doctor consultation, patient 82 male. 1. Pasig to TMC Drive 630am using Helpful ‘Waze’ reached 7am. 2. Queue get at g/floor laboratory section with PTPA endorsement from Doctor > pay cashier less senior discount > blood taking. All about 20min. Results can be taken within 4hours. In practice it’s usually 2hours. And can be taken from Releasing section. 3. At about 8am breakfast at the 2floor. About Php 500 for three meals, coffee and water. Senior discounted. Before I take mine, at about 810am, I went up for doctor queue at 9floor and took the 5th place ✌️😀 4. Waiting game now until the doctor arrives checking my old folks up. 5. To get the results at 9am. To be continued...

This is a review as a visitor. In here March 2021 before 2nd lockdown. Driving for a non-covid patient. All other major hospital in northern half of NCR and Rizal could not admit at that period. We have exhausted our option until we came to TMC Ortigas and accomodated us right away at 11 PM. Doctors and staff at blood bank accomodate fast and communicate well. The lobby or foyer (term I learned from security) is spacious but packed in noontime. It is filled with chairs to sit on to and has grand piano as centerpiece. Downside is waiting for elevator (around 4 pax. cap.) Not much they could do. The building is tall. Chairs outside ER entrance should be for waiting patients only not to companions to lessen exposure. (+) Facility (+) Med personnel (+) Accessible (+) Security (+) Service 5 star. Thank you.

They do not support cashless transactions! They are very offensive to people using credit cards. I have observed that the cashier deliberately made the terminal go off-line to promote cash collections. They are all hoodlums here. Somebody should investigate this!

That 2 stars is for the facility and proximity. My husband had his knee operation way way back, and at the time his company's HMO was on our case all the time updating us and gave us docs for our daily charges and we were assured that the bill will be covered 100% except for the pair of crutches that will be given to him upon discharge. Lo and behold, when we were about to check out we are supposed to pay for 30k+ more per our "billing statement". My husband was still in his room when I informed him about the situation when I had no cash on me and my CC limit were not even close to the bill at hand. He went down on crutches from the 11th floor and argued with the billing personnel. It seemed funny now, but I was not the only one complaining on the billing department at the time. There were also "items and procedures" listed on our statement that never happened or never used. The bill got corrected and we end paying for only the crutches, IMAGINE THAT?!? The only time we went there when our daughter had dengue, and we know that she will not undergo any operations and we were ready with our HMO + cash if the same thing happened. Now we go to Quezon City - St.Lukes and would even prefer Mission Hospital over them.

Good and experienced doctors. Well organized hospital. Only issue is the availability of doctors. Also the delay in tests and the results. The world is moving so fast, you need to be in the same pace. Similarly, still doctors are scared of getting covid from patients, they sit 5 meters away from the patient.

Medical City Ortigas ER is consistent. Consistently slow. It took me 3 hours to get my anti-rabies vaccine. I was already hungry. No consideration to people's time. I have no choice since my last vaccination was with them. I usually go to SLBGC. So if you want your time wasted go to this hospital.

It's like a typical stereotyped government office. You wait for 1.5 hours to be looked at, then attended by someone for 15 min. Wait another hour for a nurse to bring you to another department. Then wait again for another 2 hours for your bill. 5 hours in total in children's ER, for 20 minutes of hands on treatment total. We even paid in cash. Just hands down very very inefficient and not people/customer centric processes.

Never had a good experience here. October 30, 2023 Had to do full abdomen ultrasound and tvs and they had me waiting from 9AM - 5PM para na kong nag shift sa kanila for 2 simple procedures. I didn’t even finish the abdomen ultrasound cuz the wait was too long i had to go back another day. They said they can’t provide it during the holidays which was insane. It’s now November 7 and my results are still not available online and i called them several times i was on my phone for 1.5 hours only to get hung up on and no answer. This is the worst experience ever!

MY EXPERIENCE AT THE AMBULATORY CARE CENTER (7/22/2023) I arrived at 640am on a Saturday at the ambulatory care center of Medical City to have my annual blood tests done. My no. was 4033 when I arrived. (the no in the display is 4019). Twenty five minutes later, I was called at the cashier. Twenty minutes after that, I was called for extraction. I was out by 730am. Not bad! I was done in less than an hour. Note that if you parked your car at the basement parking, they no longer have a cashier at the exit. You need to pay at automated pay stations on designated locations in the hospital before going out the exit

To get your laboratory results, they invite you to call their laboratory landline number which is just a joke... You will just wait there forever. If by any chance someone pick up the phone, they will directly redirect you to another number... which will start the process again... To add more fun, you might also be simply cut off after some time... For an hospital like The Medical City Ortigas, this awful service is a shame!!!!

Super disappointing hospital. Very poor customer service and when you ask concierge and nurses, they dont know the answer to your basic question/inquiry and you will just be endorsed to someone who also not knowledgeable. Lastly, sonologists in Women’s Health are all trainees which makes you not confident on what they’re doing. Also in women’s healthy, They dont have an efficient process too on patients registration so patients will really wait for so long. Releasing of transvaginal results will be minimum 2 hours!!!! So disappointing with Medical City

Can not call them - no one picks up. In addition, they wouldn't see my wife's mother because they could not get a paper signed in time to review a biopsy. Even after we expressed concerns for rushing- results were released and they waited 5 days to share them (as dated on the test result) There is no sense of urgency here and its an accurate representation of a poorly ran medical system.

I understand that you can't easily disclose a potential patient's information without significant proof, and that you time is precious, but at least spare some understanding and hospitality to people who are looking for someone important that may have been in your premises all along, without having to hang up on them so hastily.

The Medical City is one of the better hospitals in Manila. Its facilities are quite good and are regularly updated. It boasts of state-of-the-art healthcare services from some of the country's top medical practitioners. Of course, these services do come at a price. Moreover, the hospital has a pleasantly unhospital-like food court, which has a wide array of hearty meals to choose from. TMC regularly offers mini-seminars and lay forums on various health topics that are open to the public. The Medical City General Hospital is located within one of the city's major business and commercial districts. The traffic within the vicinity is just horrendous, especially along Ortigas avenue.

One of the best private hospital in the country. Though it comes with a cost, so expected it will be premium. If it weren't for my HMO, I wouldn't consider going here. But other than that, I find their service very commendable. When I was experiencing flu-like symptoms (non-covid), they did all the work to determine if it was Dengue, Leptos, or Pneumonia. Conducted COVID tests and all. Billed me a 25K for my 8 hour stay in the ER. Parking is highway robbery though. Paid 120 pesos for 8 hours.

My husband called in at lunch time today to inquire about the RT PCR test schedule; he was told to just walk in anytime. When he reached the Emergency Dept., he was told to come back at 7 PM. They offered an apology - accepted. We came in at 630 PM same day, my husband got called at past 8 despite being scheduled for 7 PM. We left the hospital at 1130 PM. My husband only did CBC, blood test for dengue, and RT PCR!!!! All that for 5 hours!!!!! And they did not even bother offer him any form of relief despite showing flu symptoms! What a way to care for your patients! Most of the staff were standing around, I caught one even dancing, while the people wait in queue for hours?!?!? Way to go for treating your patients as partners; I sure you don’t do this to patients who has insurance that you can take advantage of! Such a lame excuse for a healthcare!

We took my 3 month pregnant sister to SLMC-Global for vaginal bleeding. She was not provided with wheel chair upon getting off the car and had to walk from hospital lobby to ER - non covid. To sum it up she waited from 3am-9am paid 8K for blood test and was asked to pay for 20K for stat ultrasound and another 12K for rush RTPCR. Not to mention, most personnels were SLEEPING on their shift and my poor sister had to wait for nothing. So we cancelled ultrasound. This was really not a good experience for someone who is pregnant. They even added to her stress! Just horrible!! I called TMC and was told that they can conduct stat ultrasound right away. We were provided with wheel chair upon getting off the car and was escorted to the women's center swiftly. When we arrived at the women's center she was attended instantly. The sonologist also arrived right away and was able to examine my sister. All in all our stay was less than 2 hours. I didn't even finish the movie I was watching on Netflix. Really thankful for TMC for taking good care of my sister during her ordeal. And super thankful my sister and baby are okay. We are thinking of switching to TMC for any medical needs. Thank you TMC.

Your female doctor stationed at pediatric emergency who interviews patient was so rude and unprofessional. Her advised was to "look for another hospital" in angry voice because according to her, the hospital is full of COVID patient regardless of the ailment. My wife was already crying in pain. That doctor didn't even ask when the fever started. As if she's answering using a templated/canned response. As if she didn't care if my wife would die in pain. To our disappointment, we left the hospital not talking or thanking anyone. My family will never forget this worst experience. For the past seven years, you have been our go-to hospital of our family. Now, you just lost a loyal client. #neveragain

This may seem like a hospital with modern facilities but their personnel are so incompetent like traditional government offices. They were supposed to send the laboratory results in 3 days but it's been 10 days and they haven't sent it. When I followed up they sent incomplete lab results (only 2 of 3 lab exams) and the password they provided to open the document didn't work. I have to call but they are busy. I now need to waste extra hours to go in person to ask for the lab results.

Doctors didn’t listen and it felt as if they rushed a diagnosis for my reason for being in the ER after hearing a symptom or 2. they barely listened to me describing all the symptoms while I was talking about them. Later they even express a slight shock when I asked about whether a particular symptom I had wasnt serious during the time they were discharging me from the ER as if I didnt tell them about it over and over again during inital checkup as that symptom was the main reason I went to the er.

Not sure if this place is short staffed, or baised to foreigners, but for the best Hospital in Philippines, they really don't deserve the title. My Mothers been here for a month now being treated for Cancer and every request takes the staff over hours to get done. Simply calling for them to check on her having trouble breathing takes over 10 minutes. I consider myself a calm and respectfully mannered person , but I've had to come out of my Mothers room while she can't breath to yell for nurses who I find just laughing along the nurse station. I'm afraid to full on yell at these people because it might cause them to mistreat my Mother even more. Please check your staff Managers. Horrible decision to come here. Especially finding out they could do nothing about my Mothers Cancer and im stuck here watching her in pain.

Very slow ER process, I was just needing tetanus and rabies shots and I was waiting for hours! I was told that the approval process with Intellicare is taking time, but I do not believe that. I've been going to SLBGC for outpatient and consultation work and i've never waited more than 10 mins for Intellicare approval and the actual procedure for more than 1 hr except for 1 time at Pathology. I only chose MC because I live closer to this hospital, but I regret that I did. Nurse kept saying they are understaffed and she is just by herself. You cannot say that to patients, you need to plan your manpower better! MC is not a cheap hospital to begin with. If you have a healthcare card, better go to SLBGC. You will never choose to visit MC again.

Called local numbers direct, no answer. Called via operator again and spoke to; KM 2x - 1st call disconnected. 2nd call KM stayed and tried to transfer me to Customer Service. Spoke to Angela whom I don’t know if she was pretending she didn’t hear me and hung up. It was almost 5pm. Perhaps she was in a hurry to leave work. Mary - spoke to Mary who tried and stayed on line while trying to transfer me over to Customer Service. I had enough tho. After few minutes on hold. I gave up. Please people someone is already not feeling well hence trying to book an appointment.

My child is a staff nurse in this hospital. She is not getting enough rest and sleep due to extended working hours. In the employment contract, it says 8 hours of work per day. But the duty extends up to 2-4 hours daily due to turnover, etc. It's paid according to her. What I dislike about this work setup is the inability of the person to get a good rest and sleep. I'm afraid that she is starting to have burnout or depression due to this hospital's poor scheduling and being understaffed. She mentioned also about the bad attitude of her head nurse.
