Dr. Malony Santos has a shameful attitude towards patient care. I was informed on the phone that tooth extraction would cost approximately 3,500 pesos. However, once I arrived today (08/17/2020), he had other ideas. After examination, he said this would usually cost 25,000 pesos (I even said, surely you mean 2,500 pesos? That is SIX times more expensive than the UK!). To make this farce even more absurd, Dr. Santos was not even sure if it was the top or bottom third molar that needed removing. Hence he repeatedly asked me which tooth I wanted removing, excuse me, you are supposed to be the dentist? Dr. Santos then said he could extract it for 10,000 pesos (now twice as much as the UK), I said this is still too expensive for tooth extraction. He then said if it takes less than 30 minutes, he would do it for 5,000 pesos, but if it takes longer then the price will be 10,000 pesos. In a few minutes, we have gone from 25,000 pesos to potentially 5,000 pesos! As the conversation went on, Dr. Santos became more aggressive and impatient because I wasn’t going to accept being ripped off. Dr. Santos has no qualms about lying to your face to inflate the price and he clearly possesses no conscious whatsoever, he is driven only by greed and taking advantage. What kind of so-called ‘professional’ price gouges and lies to a patient in pain on the dental chair? What kind of ‘professional’ dramatically changes the price every few seconds and clearly isn’t even confident in his own ability as a dentist? Everything about my experience with Dr. Santos was awful. The clinic lied about the price before I arrived and they continually lied to my face when I sat in the chair in an attempt to rip me off during a pandemic. Avoid their price gouging and aggressive behavior like the plague.

The dentists here are unprofessional. They took a picture of me while another doctor was fixing my tooth without any prior consent from me. He even bragged to his colleagues that he will document my procedure for I was having an implant. If not for the huge amount of deposit I made I would have bolted out of the clinic right away. Prior to the implant procedure they cleaned all my teeth which I do not know was an additional cost but the worst thing about that cleaning was I can’t chew or drink anything for two months because all my teeth became very sensitive. It appears all the enamel from my teeth has been removed. I have to liquify all my food and drink from a straw for almost two months. What a horrendous ordeal but what can I do, they already took my money and so I have no choice but to finish the procedure and be nice to them so that they will finish my tooth. As for the implant, well it still solid as of today but I believe that they should have simply advised me of a different procedure for it took them a great deal of effort in removing my tooth. It means the previous one was still very strong and doesnt need to be replaced at all. While it is true that I have consented to the implant but they are the professionals who would know what is best to do and they did not give me the best option instead only what is best for them. I could tell more horrible stories about my experience in this clinic but I guess you be the one to judge and try it yourself but I recommend that you don’t.

They did my girlfriend’s veneers and they fell out, so they re-did them, and they fell out again. These people should be in jail, not a dentist clinic. 8,000 PHP for nothing.

This is my 1st time to go here and i must say the experience was really bad.. first and foremost they told me a general cleaning would only cost around 2.2K over the phone. I get there and speak to the receptionist who reassures me of the cost. Then as i am already seated in the dental chair, the doctor suddenly tells me they will be charging me around 3.9K (he softens the impact by saying they'll give me a discount changing the amount to about 3.3K). Doing this while im already about to be cleaned. His reason? He tells me its because of not being cleaned for a year (information which i provided the receptionist earlier). Honestly, If i did not need the certificate so badly i would'nt have pushed through with this. Please be warry of this suspicious style of suddenly increasing cost with no detailed reason except not being cleaned for a year. In terms of service the male doctor was very very sloppy and unprofessional in my opinion. First, while cleaning, (sorry for the visual) but he would allow my saliva to come out of my mouth. This happened several times and if i had not signaled with my hand that this was happening he would have just continued again and again until there was a pool of my saliva in my chest. Second, charging me additional without even thoroughly cleaning my teeth was so unreal. I have been through many doctors in my life and in comparison to them, this guy was not thorough at all. He did not even use any medicine or any out of the ordinary process that would justify the additional cost he made earlier. After he had cleaned my teeth and told me he was done, i had to feel it properly with my tongue and noticed that there were still solid tar which he missed located in my left and right molar area. He kept on contesting this, but i had to insist and when he took a look, he found that i was right. I have no idea how they were able to continue practicing with such sloppy service while discreetly charging additional un-defined fees from their customer. Worst dental experience ever.

I travelled from Melbourne, Australia to have a crown placed over my tooth that had previously had a root canal completed (at another dentist). I sent an email prior to leaving providing lots of information about the condition of my tooth and the procedures I have had conducted. I received a reply confirming an available time (at Mall of Asia), and quoted (I had to follow up on this as it wasn't originally provided). I was quoted 17,920 Php in my email. When I arrived in the Philippines, I attended my appointment. I was given an X-ray to confirm the root canal had been finalised. I was then quoted 37,000Php. That's more then double to that of the email. I advised that I was going to seek treatment elsewhere because of the fees. I paid for the X-ray (700 Php) and was asked to pay a consultation fee which in the email stated it was free. They argued that it is only free if you proceed with the dental work. I refused. As I was at a major shopping centre, I looked around for an alternative dentist. I had my appointment at SMILE ASIA, they are fantastic, charged 24,000 for a Zirconia crown (the best available) and also reenforced my tooth (which took several hours). Stay away from Dental World, would NOT recommend.

Very disappointed with this dentist. Had a carrie I had to take care of and the job was fine. However, from the beginning he tried to find ways to get extra paid (quoted one carrie and after treatment, he invoiced 4 carries as he said that it was touching another teeth and each of them had 2 cavities). He has also been rude and ended up claiming bad oral hygiene with many carries to treat of course!

Very expensive. Originally was quoted for 2K for cleaning but when I was on the dental chair and getting ready I was told by the dentist that I will be charged 4K instead “when you have no choice”because you are all ready to go with the procedure. I will not recommend this dental clinic to anyone at all.

If you plan to get dental teeth cleaning in Manila. Never go to Dental World Manila in SM Mall of Asia (MOA). They charged us 6,000 pesos each for cleaning only, and 10,000 pesos for pasta filling. Average price for teeth cleaning is between 1,000 - 1,500 pesos. We ended up paying because we had limited time to get our teeth cleaned before flying back to Sydney and we were only made aware of the average price afterwards.

NEVER GO HERE. Booked an appointment for teeth cleaning and in less than 10 minutes they were finished. They didn’t floss and I can still see things in my teeth. Terrible service, I paid ₽3,500 for that, I’ve been to better places.

All the 5 star reviews here are fake. They charged us 967 for getting a quotation and have gangster tendencies to charge you more when you are on the dental chair. You are warned. Don’t go to these thugs.

Went to MOA branch for a cleaning and tooth filling. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but didn't bother to tell me who will be doing the procedure. Even the dentist didn't even introduce himself. Cleaning was rushed and the tooth filling he did on my third molar (upper jaw) chipped off. Tried calling their MOA clinic to report what happened, but their staff won't answer at all. Instead, I went to another dentist in BGC and was told that the filling wasn't done properly to seal the hole, that's why it came loose and chipped easily. Dental World Manila charges exorbitant prices for a below average service! #neveragain

I am very happy with the outcome of my teeth whitening procedure. The procedure was just fast and amazingly it looked very good to the eye. The doctor is friendly and the staffs were amazingly accommodating while I am waiting for my turn for the procedure.

When I entered the store to ask if my teeth could be cleaned, I filled out the form and told me to wait outside. Finally let me in. Let me lie on the chair, the dentist looked at it, the assistant told you that you need 6000P. Too expensive, half the price I would zoom elsewhere. I disagreed and then told me that I need to pay 1500P consultation fee. I was charged within 2 minutes of entering the store but I did nothing. Later I said 500P, I didn't pay other fees and let me go. The worst thing is Block me in, block me out with a stool . This shop is a scam and is mandatory, so it is recommended to see hope and then decide whether to come to this shop. Poor service and ridiculously high charges.

Totally substandard service! Went for a regular teeth clean, they finished it in 15 minutes and when I got home, I still can see stains there! Also pricy, with half that money, I had excellent services in other clinics before!

I recommended to my auntie from the US to visit this clinic. True enough, the team is capable of serving dental tourism. The prices are cost efficient--commensurate to the level of quality service received.
