👍 Great experience!! Loved the history lessons and getting a feel for the city. It was a little over two hours, so bring water, I only brought one bottle, wished I had brought two!! The team did a pretty good job of trying to keep everyone safe while riding through crazy traffic. Please keep your head... The cycling experience tour around Intramuros with Bambike is absolutely fantastic and I would strongly recommended! The company is very organized and thoughtful, they prepared bike, rain coat, mosquito repentance and drinking water. I really enjoyed the whole journey as the tour guide (Bo) is a experienced tour guide, Bo explained the history and culture of Intramuros in clear and interesting. Bo is very professional and responsible, we managed to cover all the itinerary despite raining during the tour. Cycling around Intramuros under the rain with the rain coat is part and parcel of trip and added some wonderful memories! Of course a complimentary local ice cream after the tour concluded a happily experience!

What better and unique way to see Intramuros, while getting a bit of exercise at the same time. Guides add much interest to exploring the beautiful area. The pace is easy enough and all ages are catered for with the different size bikes available.

Excellent tour with Bambike and Stephen as our tour guide. Stephen was full of information about the history and sights we stopped at. We did the full tour which included at stop at the fort. The bikes were super comfortable and great way to see the whole area. At each stop we were given a lot of interest information and then had time to look around and take pictures. Definitely a fun way to learn and see Intramuros

It was a monday so it was a small tour group, just 3 people. Tour guide was very pleasant and she really gets to know each and every person in the group. She is also very knowledgeable about the area, we learned a lot about the history of Intramuros. Bring a cap, water bottles, wear sunscreen and shades. We bought tickets from Klooks and it was very convenient. Oh and the ice cream was the bomb! So many local flavors to choose from, we got ube and queso!

So you know that I'm not easy with 5 ⭐ but this one they deserve it all! A huge thanks to Camila (i hope to write it correctly) because she is an amazing guide for the tour we made, able to answer to all the uncountable questions we made to her. Good bamboo bikes and super good to have included in the tour a stop at the roof terrace of an hotel for a drink and a awesome view of the city!

(Translated by Google) As you ride a bamboo bike, you will hear the history of the Philippines. The course is about 2 hours 30 minutes. It was a meaningful tour. (Original) 대나무 자전거를 타고 다니면서 필리핀의 역사를 듣게되는데요. 2시간30분 정도 코스입니다. 나름 의미있는 투어였습니다.

It was my first Bambike experience. I choosed the Intramuros Tour started at 3pm and it takes 2,5 hours to explore Intramuros. Shaddy lead the tour and he's a nice guy. Everyone in the Bambike shop are nice and we had a good time with them. I booked the tour from Klook, there were 2 of us joining other 5 people in the tour group. Their bike is very cool and we had a great experience. Intramuros area is quite big so it was very convenient to explore it by bike than walking. They gave us a bottled water before we start the tour. Once it finished, they offered fruit juice/beer to enjoy while watching videos at the shop. Thank you Bambike!!

One of the best tour options you can do in Intramuros. You get to spend around 2.5 hours biking around the historic walled city while listening to stories behind the attractions. It's not as tiring as a walking tour but also not as distant as a bus tour. Perfect for those who want to explore and learn about Manila's rich history.

Good tour if you want to know more about the history of the Philippines but little time is actually dedicated to riding a bicycle. I would have preferred to more time riding around Manila, which is a very bike friendly city, instead of facts that are easily available on Wikipedia. Instead of a 2.5hr tour with less that 30 min of biking, they should inverse that proportion. I will applaud the owner for the recycling of bikes with bamboo frames - nice eco-friendly move.

Jonathan was a great tour guide - well knowledgeable and easy to listen to through the tour. I'm not an Olympic cyclist but nothing along this trip was too difficult. Great overview of the city and the fort! 10/10

Absolutely amazing and great experience! Very knowledgeable and kind tour guide and wished I could have had the time for the longer tour (you can choose between 1,5 and 2,5hours). The bicycle was easy to ride and without this trip I wouldn’t have had the chance to get the history so well. I was here on a weekday (Wednesday)and took the tour in the afternoon.

If you have limited time to explore the Intramuros, check this cycling tour. Ride their geniusly built bamboo bike, guided tour who knows the history well, and amazed yourself with some of the highlighted place of interest. You can choose between express and full tour. Depends on how much time you have.

I've taken the tour twice and as a person who isn't really interested in history, I quite enjoyed the tour and learned a few things about Intramuros from our amazing tour guide, Camille. I also enjoy biking so that's a plus. I was able to try the eco-friendly bambike and hope to one day own one 😁

A nice way to discover the Intramuros area, with great and knowledgeable guides. I took the 2.5 hour tour for $35. The ice cream in the end was a nice touch. The reason for 4 stars is twofold. 1) in their website they advertise small groups however we were more than 20 cyclists in my group. 2) There is quite a disparity in the way they assign bikes, some people in the group who arrived very early got really nice bamboo bikes (some had front fork shock absorber and disk brakes too!). I ended up getting a pseudo-bamboo bike (see pics) and the brakes weren’t even properly working. The ice cream at the end was a nice touch!

I went on the sunset tour with guide Stephen. (Hey! That’s my name). A great tour of Intramuros that was made unique with the bamboo cycling component. I haven’t been on a walking tour of Intramuros, but I think with the cycling, we got to see more in a shorter period of time. There was also a time to get some drinks and watch the sunset, which was a beautiful experience. Our group was five in total. It’s a little pricey — I paid $37 USD per person direct through Bambike. That being said, it was a great tour. Combine with dinner at Barbaras afterwards (a few minutes away) for an unforgettable night. There was a bit less cycling than I would have liked (I think we did around 2 km in total) but great nonetheless.

Great value for money! The biking part weren’t too much and me and my husband felt safe. I’ve been to an Intramuro tour probably 5 times now but I still learned alot from the guide. The 2.5hours flew by fast!

I’ve done this twice and can’t recommend it enough. I did the full tour 4 years ago and the express one recently and both are worthwhile. It’s a great, fun and educational experience for all ages. The guides are friendly and you get seriously good icecream afterward.

I had a great time on the bike tour! I went on my own, and was put in a group with eleven other friendly guests. Our guide was great: he spoke perfect English, was extremely knowledgeable, and made sure everybody was having a good time. He even taught us stuff about American history that I didn’t know! I loved supporting the causes behind Bambike as well as taking the tour. I wouldn’t change anything, but I would add a longer cruise around Intramuros on the bikes. We got on and off the bikes regularly and I would’ve liked to spend twenty or thirty minutes just following our guide around the area on a nice bike ride. Highly recommend to someone who’s looking for a unique and local way to explore Intramuros!

Riding a bike around Intramuros is a beautiful experience especially with an amazing guide. He knew all the details about Filipino history and more. He was kind, helpful and really funny. If you go to the Philippines this tour is a must. Plus, it is eco-friendly since the bikes are made of bamboo and they don’t pollute

Loved this bike tour! I always try and book a bicycle tour when I visit a new city/country and Bambike Ecotours offered everything I was looking for. My friend and I did the 2.5 hour Intramuros tour and it was wonderful. There weren't any long stretches of biking (a plus or minus depending on what you're looking for), but we were able to see many iconic places. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and the company was very well-run and very responsive to any questions.

The sunset tour was great and the staff were even better! I arrived late and Bo made sure I got a bike that was a comfortable height for me and brought me to meet up with my group. I liked that they gave us time to explore all the stops and offered to take great photos of everyone. They make sure you’re safe while riding by traveling with at least 2 staff members so one can stop the traffic as we biked by. The sunset view on top of the Bay Leaf Hotel was beautiful! And we got a free beer too!

The Intramuros experience bike tour was okay. The tour was 2.5 hours and included stops to historical and cultural sites in the Intramuros area. Be aware that these tours are more about talking about the historical factor and less about riding bikes. The total bike riding time was less than 30 minutes. More bike riding should be incorporated into the tours. The discription provided on the website makes it sound like a true bike tour....

Easily one of our favorite experiences during our visit to Manila! Booking online (via email) was super easy. Jojo was an excellent guide. He was funny and informative. We biked with 4 kids (2 in a rickshaw and 2 riding bikes). Jojo paced the tour so everyone was safe and comfortable.

Our team tried the Sunset ecotour last March 26. In my experience, this is the most fun way to tour around Intramuros! Their headquarters is located in the beautiful Plaza San Luis, a great place to start the tour. Aside from seeing the old glam and beauty of Intramuros, being on a bambike gives the tour an extra point which breaks away from the usual walks. Our guide, Cedhie, is very knowledgeable and happily answers our questions. You'll know that he enjoys what he's doing because he has that contagious enthusiasm. They have a traffic stopper rolling with the group who makes sure that everyone crosses the road safely. They also have their own first-aid kit and asks everyone if one can really ride a bike, a question that shound be answered truthfully to avoid accidents. Those who don't know how to ride a bike need not to worry because the Bambike ambassadors can give back-rides so no one misses out on the fun. The Bambike itself is made with real Bamboo, it's sturdy and safe to ride on. They are locally made by the beneficiaries of Gawad Kalinga, a Philippine based community development organization for the poor. The company help provide the community with employment, scholarships and other enrichment programs. Plus they also help make the Earth greener with their bamboo nursery for reforestation. It's so nice to find a company with amazing advocacy. Please support Bambike and Bambike Ecotours. Experience the most fun way to tour around Intramuros! P. S. They also have tours in BGC 🤙

Went on the 2.5 hours tour around Intramuros with guide, Jonathan. We had a great time while learning a bunch of stuff about the area. We felt safe despite car drivers not respecting bikers, one of the Bambike staff tried to control traffic around us. The ice cream treat at the end of the tour was definitely a plus!

  • 5/5 Alberto C. 11 months ago on Google
It is safe to say that you will find the tour to be fast-paced and well organized. You will have the opportunity to fill up your bottle of water you have with you if you bring it in advance. Aside from the bamboo bikes being cool, the meeting location was also a pleasant surprise to me. We had the most wonderful time riding along the intramuros roads with our guide and he provided us with a wealth of fun facts and never got boring during our tour. Also during the course of the tour, I learned quite a bit about the history of the Philippines. Apart from the free ice cream that will be served at the end of the tour, you will also have the chance to take a look at the site of Casa Manila before returning to your hotel.

A fantastic morning spent with our incredible tour guide Jonathan, who shared so much fascinating information about The Philippines history, while keeping the tour fun and friendly. Great company, great value for money. If you do nothing else on your stopover in Manila… do a Bambike tour of Intramuros!

Really cool bikes that are completely made of bamboo. Unfortunately we did not have time to take a tour or get to ride them around the area but it was very tempting to buy one with how cool they are. I just could not think of a way to get it back to the states safely at the time. May still get one one day.

Loved this bike tour! We went on a 2.5-hour tour and it was definitely worth it! Our guide, Steven did a great job in educating us about the historical sites we went to and the history of Intramuros in general. I personally felt safe because they made sure that cars would stop whenever we needed to cross the streets. The ice cream and cold towels at the end of the tour is definitely a plus! 👍

This was soooo much fun and a must see and do. Camille our tour guide was just an amazing host. We learned things about history we were not aware of. It was great getting to know her as well. She is a gem. The bamboo bikes were great, safe and comfortable. This organization also is helping out with local charities. The bamboo toys are adorable and a great way to take home some gifts along with supporting local culture. Thank you again for such a fun morning, and the ice cream at the end is a perfect way for it! Until next time Camille.

The Intramuros sunset tour was fantastic! As it's later in the day, the temperature was perfect for a bike ride and I didn't worry about getting sunburned. The stop at the BayLeaf rooftop for drinks was lovely even though the setting sun hid behind a cloud wall. Camille, my tour guide, was wonderful! I really enjoyed the ride and her explanation of Intramuros' history. The bike was super sturdy and I felt comfortable riding even though I only cycle once every few years (at most). It might have been a little easier for me had I adjusted the seat up a bit, but overall, my ride was comfortable. Based on my experience, I recommend any tour with Bambike! It's a great way to see an important historical part of the city.

I had a fabulous time! We booked the tour for the afternoon but was told our flight may depart early so I went to the tour centre in the morning. The guys were just so relax and accommodating. My 8 years old was not familiar with the bike so our second tour guide was always conscious about guarding him and looking out for him. Our main tour guy Steven was extremely knowledgeable and funny. I definitely enjoyed Intramuros on my bike. If we had to walk, it would’ve probably be very tiring. I would recommend this tour (and have done so already) to anyone who had a short day in Manila.

We had a great sunset tour bike ride through Intramuros. Learnt a lot from our guide who was really nice and enjoyed a drink up a roof top bar which was included in our ticket. The only issue we had was finding the place. The only other thing was that the bikes seat was a bit uncomfortable and we were sore afterwards.

Highly recommend renting bikes here to tour around Intramuros. Jonathan was very helpful. Bikes were safe when we left them to tour different forts and churches. Bikes were great, and made our first day in Manila even more special.

Cedie was a very knowledgeable tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunset Tour! Only downside...I wish our group were able to come earlier in Intramuros to explore more of the walled city. We missed the Fort Santiago part.

  • 3/5 Katie Y. 4 years ago on Google
Overall it is an extremely well organized tour and a great way to see Intramuros. Our party of seven ranged in age from 72 to 5 and all enjoyed the tour. The carriage for my 7 and 5 year old was very cute. The reason for docking two stars is that the group was larger than the maximum advertised, I think my two small children were not included in the number even though they were paid for. Also the tour guide did not take into account the children we had with us when delivering his presentations. For example he talked about how in the Second World War children in the hospitals were sliced in two by the Japanese! I felt this to be highly unnecessary and inappropriate. It ended on a high though, the ice cream at the end was worth the trip alone!

Bambike does a fantastic job showing tourists and locals like me around. I did two tours within three weeks, one with friends, one with my wife and my mother-in-law. Both were great experiences with enthusiastic and super friendly guides. Ceddie and Angelica, this goes out to you! The bikes are simple but cool and comfortable, water is included and (spoiler alert!) ending the tour with free ice cream is a great surprise. For what is included, pricing seems pretty fair. Intramuros is not the most beautiful but arguably the most interesting of Manila's neighborhoods the historical background is mind-boggling. I highly recommend booking a tour, even if you're just traveling through.

Our Bambike experience as a family was wonderful learning while having fun! The big bike they lent to my husband who will be having our 6year old daughter sitting behind him was one of a kind. The big wheels and extended cushion seats made my daughter more comfortable at the back of my husband while biking around and of course made me feel secure that she wont fall off on the cobblestone roads. The only thing I could suggest is: We availed the tour plus lunch at Barbara’s. The food was good but servers were lacking, so we had to wait for a long time for our table to be ready and had to wait again for utensils and again for table napkins. Even the foreigner beside our table could not get proper service from the servers because its seems there are no assigned servers per area. I had to help them get table napkins from the servers because i see they are getting frustrated already. Overall experience was very good except for the service in Barbara’s.

Love the experience. Biking around Intramuros with a Bamboo Bike. We took the express tour that last 1 hr and 30min stopping at some attractions within the walls of Intramuros. I would definitely recommend this tour. They also offer a more intense biking adventure that will last about 2 - 3 hrs. For non-bikers they also provide a pedicab made out of Bamboo including driver for some extra charges.

My sister and me were suuuper happy that we took this bike tour! ^___^ A great decision which brought us a wonderful and dynamic experience on a bike of getting to know Manila's area Intramuros. The idea of experiencing a city with a bike, in this case a really special one made out of bamboo, was so unique. And since we love being active and get to know a part of the Philippine's history this bike tour was shouting out for us haha :D You will get to see the beautiful area and sights with short breaks to take a relaxing look around where you are, take some pictures and also to ask questions, drink some water out of water bottles that are being handed out to you before the tour. Really thoughtful. Our tour guides Cedhie and Miguel were super friendly, polite and also very funny! :) :) Because of the heavy traffic we couldn't make it in time. But we were being offered to join a later bike tour. It was no problem at all which made us very happy. Meanwhile we had nice conversation about the history of the Bamboo Bicycle Ecotours Company, etc. and had a cool beer at the bar. :) There's one near the reception. While the tour every questions that we had were answered. And they also had an additional person who guided us through the heavy traffic. We felt very safe. :) So all in all a really awesome experience that you shouldn't miss when you're in Manila! :D Thanks a lot guys!!! :)

Fabulous experience and great way to explore Manila. We had a passionate warm and fun tour guide and really enjoyed the very unique bamboo bikes and cycling through Intramuros with a wonderful insight into the Filipino history. To experience from Manila!

I recently did the bambike tour around Intramuros and it was a great experience! My cousins who visited from the US also loved it. It was a fun way to explore intramuros, and our guide was very well spoken and informative. I highly recommend doing this tour if you're in Manila!

(Translated by Google) Good guide (Angelika) very well read about history. Fun with bamboo bikes, nice sunset from a good view high up in a hotel. Nice souvenirs were brought home (water bottle). After about 2h we were back where we started and were offered an ice cream. Recommended to anyone who wants to think of something different and know more about Manila and the history behind it. Thanks to the whole gang at Bambibike Regards Elie and Louis 😉😉 (Original) Duktig guide (Angelika) mycket påläst om historia.

The bamboo bike tour was amazing. I had JoJo as a tour guide. I highly recommend this place if you wanna see the city via bike. Also, you will learn a lot of history about Manilla and the Philippines as a whole.

My group of three skipped the tours and just rented bikes to explore the area ourselves. I was very pleased at the quality of bike and the price. The tour seemed kind of expensive, but renting a bike was just 100 php an hour!! We didn’t see as many sights that way, but enjoyed the flexibility. It was such a great deal, and I have no complaints about the company itself, but warning- riding on some of the streets is kind of rough due to some (pretty) cobblestone streets and a little bit of traffic. Also, don’t even think about trying to ride on top of the wall. I’m not sure if that’s even allowed, but I can’t imagine how bumpy and uncomfortable it would be. Would definitely recommend this company though! It’s a great way to see Intramuros.

Bikes were great for a good price. Unfortunately we missed out on the tour which was still a fun ride, but not as fun as if we had caught the tour. Oh well. Next time.

Certainly a must-try when in Intramuros! Affordable and convenient bike rentals by Bambike. We went on a weekend, and there were still plenty of bikes to choose from. Renting is a breeze—just pay, provide a valid ID for a number, and you're good to go. One thing for improvement: the staff in the rental station could be a bit friendlier and warmer in customer interactions. They tend to just sit and stare, and you're the one who has to approach them. Also, just a tip: if you're a big group, like 6 to 10 people, booking in advance is recommended.
