Fantasy World, once a promising theme park, now presents a mixed experience. Its unique design and architecture can still be appealing to those looking for a photography backdrop or a brief nostalgic visit, but the park's deteriorating condition and limited activities can be a disappointment for those expecting a fully functional theme park experience. Visitors should set their expectations accordingly. Pros of Fantasy World: Unique Concept: Fantasy World is renowned for its medieval European-inspired architecture and design, offering visitors a distinctive and magical atmosphere rarely found in the Philippines. Scenic Views: The theme park is set on a hill overlooking stunning views of Batangas, providing a picturesque backdrop for photos and a sense of tranquility. Nostalgia: For those who visited Fantasy World during its peak, it can evoke a sense of nostalgia, recalling the dream of a grand theme park that once was. Photography Opportunities: The park's unique and well-preserved structures make it a great place for photography, with various nooks and crannies offering picturesque scenes. Cons of Fantasy World: Limited Activities: Fantasy World has been largely closed to the public and lacks the vibrant attractions and entertainment options typically expected from a theme park. Neglect and Deterioration: Over the years, Fantasy World has suffered from neglect and deterioration, with many of its structures and attractions showing signs of wear and disrepair. Uncertain Future: The park's future remains uncertain, and visitors might find the overall experience disappointing due to the limited access and underwhelming condition of the site. Accessibility: Fantasy World is located in Lemery, Batangas, which might not be convenient for travelers based in Metro Manila or other urban centers. Entrance Fees: Despite the limited access and attractions, visitors may still be required to pay an entrance fee, which can be seen as an overcharge given the current state of the park.

Disneyland of the Southern Tagalog located in Batangas. Best place to experience the medieval-themed castles and mini theme park. You will enjoy as well the cool breeze overlooking the Taal lake . One of the reasons I miss Philippined becausw of this place.

Amazing place, however not operational. Even though google says its open, you can only watch it from the far. It is closed due to active volcano nearby (this is what local lady told us). Pity this place is abandoned

A CASTLE SITS ATOP A hill in the Philippines, its colorful walls adding an unexpected pop of color to the surrounding greenery. The stalwart structure, which looks like an image straight from a fairytale, seems oddly out of place. There were grand plans for the castle and its surrounding theme park to become the “Disneyland of the Philippines.” Called Fantasy World, it was meant to rival the beloved international amusement parks. But for the people behind Fantasy World, opening the park was a dream that never came true. The businessman who backed the project ran into financial issues before construction was complete, forcing him to abandon his plan. Now, the castle’s once-bright exterior is fading. Paint peels from the walls of its unfinished rooms. The rides lay dormant, never able to grumble to life beneath hordes of delighted children. Though the park couldn’t open as planned, you can still enter and explore the Disneyland that could have been. You can walk across the rope bridge that leads to the park’s tree house, which offers beautiful views of the local scenery. You can even climb the castle’s towers and feel like a real-life Rapunzel surveying the empty kingdom.

Wonderful setting for capturing photographs. There is really nothing else to do in this place. I'm getting a strange feeling here. I was saddened when work on this project was stopped. I'm crossing my fingers that the place gets bought and renovated. I think this park has a lot of untapped potential.

A lot of sources online claim it is open to visitors despite it's abandoned, but security guards on entrance aren't aware of this. Park is closed, you can only take pics passing by from the road.

I think this is an abandoned place. It kinda looks like a Walmart Disney park. Apparently it wasn't finished because of money problems. You can go in but nothing works and you'll be in an abandoned park to only take pictures. You have to pay to get in although I'm not sure who the funds go to.

Great place for pictures. I was excited to be able to explore such a beautiful setting. Sad to see such great craftsmanship in the design and great location going to waste. This place definitely would have been a super hot spot for tourist with its prime location. Someone had a great plan that unfortunately went south and belly up.

You can enjoy picture taking outside but it's entry is not allowed as of the moment. Still you can enjoy the picturesque view of the castle.

I don't got a chance to take a glimpse of the castle because of a huge volume of crowd stopping over the place. My picture was limited. I was avoiding myself to get into the crowd for obeying some health protocols. Even though I got vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine, I don't risk myself to something that may put my friends and family in danger when I got close to them. Better luck next time.😊

If you want to go visit Fantasy World try to get information if it's open or not. We went there in hopes of taking pictures inside because google said it was open but when we got there the park was actually closed because of the ongoing Pandemic. You are free to take pictures from outside though.

Best place in Philippines, it's a huge vibe for me. I recommend taking a selfie or photo in this place because it's just looks so unreal especially the view. I went here 2 days ago. I Don't know much about this castle because I'm a foreigner but I definitely recommend going to this place.

I visited Fantasy World with my sister yesterday. The site is still closed and, according to the vendors there, is likely to remain close because of tax and electricity issues. This is as far as you can go. If you go near the entrance, you won't see much of anything but trees. If you won't feel scammed paying the hefty fare and traveling for 30-45 minutes for just that, it's still a scenic ride getting there. Just manage your expectations.

The place is still not open. However, the location is huge. It would have been a fantastic location if it had been completed, as the surrounding landscape is breathtaking.

Fantasy World is an unfinished theme park in Lemery, Batangas, Philippines. With no operational rides, the site functions as a photo park. Better you go during winter time.

We once visited this place last Feb. 12, 2021, the place was taken for granted in terms of maintenance. Everything we saw was totally an eerie and horrific thing to see. Adding up the guard who was so rude talking to us while asking if we can take pictures with the castle. Perhaps this guard should be terminated at once. He has no courtesy talking to guests of the owner unit in the place. I took pictures of that guard with his two feet high up on the chair and enjoying texting while on duty.

My family went to this place about 10 years ago, we paid 1000 pesos for the entrance for the whole car. This is good for picture taking or maybe for events. The place needs some maintenance during that time we visited. Looking from the national road, it appears that no major change happened from the first time we visited.

The park is closed, but still very cool to see it from the viewing spot off the road. The locals were telling us that it closed after the volcano eruption 2020. Get a telephoto lens if you can, some of the park is still visible.

Closed since COVID-19, you can't even take photos by the entrance since the guards won't allow it. The next view is along the highway where people would stop over, it's become a semi-local tourist spot itself and is impossible to miss, but the distance is too far away for it to make too much of a difference. It would have been nice if it could reopen or someone invests in it to make it like the first fantasy anime theme park in the Philippines, the castle façade looks like it's old enough to be in a medieval era. If you've been to Enchanted Kingdom, the rural feeling is comparable. The castle here is nowhere near the Disneyland California castles, but it still looks the part of a fairy tale castle.

Venturing into Fantasy World is like stepping into a realm frozen in time—a once envisioned castle now abandoned, shrouded in an eerie atmosphere that both captivates and unnerves. Braving the cold weather, visitors are greeted not just by the chill in the air but also by the ghostly presence of a place that never fully realized its dreams. The fog that blankets Fantasy World adds a layer of mystery, creating a haunting effect that heightens the sense of abandonment. As you explore the forgotten corners and echoing halls, the atmosphere seems to whisper tales of dreams unfulfilled and aspirations left to decay. Despite its deserted state, Fantasy World exudes a peculiar charm. The skeletal structure of the castle, against the backdrop of mist and silence, paints a scene that's both melancholic and mesmerizing. It's an adventure that transcends the conventional—a journey into the surreal, where the real and the imagined converge in a dance of abandonment. For those willing to brave the cold and embrace the eeriness, Fantasy World offers not just a visual spectacle but a visceral experience. It's a place frozen in time, where the echoes of dreams linger and the chill in the air serves as a reminder of a fantasy that once was. #FantasyWorld #AbandonedCastle #HauntingAdventure #FrozenInTime

A relaxing park with a medieval theme. Science Magic Philippines visited this abandoned theme park in 2019. It is a photographer's paradise. No part of this place is not Instagram worthy. They charge minimal amount for entrance, and you can stay there the whole day if you like. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Local and foreign tourists will surely enjoy spending their time here. The only thing which i think needs improvement is their canteen. They offer very limited food options.
