Comfortable ambience, good food but pricey

Had the afternoon tea sets with friends. Great place to chat and catch up. Music was great, and the acoustics were perfect. We were seated a bit far from one another on the couches, but we didn't have to raise our voices to be heard. Conversations from other tables weren't audible to us, either. Food and drinks were excellent. Your choice of tea was served in a pot along with some sugar cubes and cream. Your choice of coffee was served in individual glasses. The pastries were excellent and the scones were well-made. All in all, a great experience.

This is a great alternative to the famous Peninsula lobby lounge. Beautiful high ceiling with windows that let sunlight stream in through the trees in the outdoor garden. It was my first time to enjoy the lobby lounge of this hotel even if I have been to Makati Shang numerous times. Met a friend here for breakfast and I had the Ube Panna Cotta which was very light and heavenly. My husband had an Ube Ensaymada and he liked it. The Americano coffee we had was also quite good. They do have a full menu so if you wanted to have a relaxing meal in the midst of casual elegance, this would be the place to have it.

Super top hotel ! However this is sure the best hotel of whole Philippines is there only 1 thing. The orchestra in the lobby lounge plays too loud. You cannot well conversate with the people on your table.

A nice place to have afternoon tea. Perfect ambiance to just sit and relax and listen to strings. Cozy and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Though it took sometime to deliver our orders, it was worth the wait. The fish and chips is a winner.

Been coming here for years - the High Tea used to be the best in Manila. However standards have declined as furniture is falling apart and service remains understaffed. Presentation has also declined.
