Once this place was the best buffet in metro manila, but now trubble, you pay 1088 per head for this service. All of their plates are empty, nothing to pick, trubble service, cant even find clean plate to use. Never ever go there again its all scam

1st visit: February 2023 Sambokojin is an eat-all-you-can buffet restaurant that serves Japanese and Korean cuisine. The buffet offers different prices if you'll do a combo, it includes Filipino cuisine. We opted for Korean-Japanese plus Filipino food. It costs Php1,088 per person. They provide delectable unlimited authentic Yakiniku (Japanese grill) and Korean barbecue. My daughter loves the fresh ingredients of sushi, and sashimi from the Japanese section. I loved the veggies wrapped in bacon, the miso soup, and the sukiyaki. The dumplings have generous kimchi fillings in the crunchy wrap. It sure is appetizing and fun to eat. The meat is tender and succulent. A variety of sauce and spices are on the table to season the grilled meat/seafood. The fresh fruit shakes are refreshing and luscious. Reservation is required. Service is excellent. The place is stylish, elegant and has great ambiance. We enjoyed our dining experience. 2nd visit: October 2023 As I visit Manila 2nd time this year, I was dismayed. Last night, we tried the place. It’s Php 798.00 for Japanese and Korean dishes and add-on of Php 110.00 for the Collab including Filipino, International and lamb dish, pretty good price with no service charge. We loved the variety of Japanese sushi and Korean but the lamb is not available. The lamb dish was a come on for us to pay for the COLLAB. Filipino and international food choices were empty not refilled, not much of a choice. Roast beef was tough. Dessert choices was good. Overall my 2nd visit was not pleasant. I regret paying for the add-on Collab. And am surprised to see not much food choices and un-refilled (Filipino and International) dishes for a 7:00 pm dinner. Still the service is amazing. All the staffs are friendly and efficient. The place is clean. I don’t think I will come back.

Came for a lunch buffet (February 10, 2021) The Negative side: 1. No ice for the Halo-halo 2. There was a cockroach inside the dessert counter display. I showed it to the staff in which she immediately removed. 3. Too much people inside. No social distancing. The arrow markers placed in the floors are not followed. Heath protocols not implemented well. 4. Limited seafoods. Positives: 1. Servers and staff are attentive to guest’s needs. Empty plates are removed immediately. 2. Fast service Overall, for me, its not worth your money.

Sambokojin is a popular Japanese-Korean buffet restaurant located in SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, Philippines. Here's a long review of the restaurant: Ambiance: Sambokojin has a modern yet cozy ambiance, with a spacious dining area that can accommodate large groups. The restaurant is well-lit and decorated with warm and earthy tones, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Food: The highlight of Sambokojin is its wide variety of Japanese and Korean dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, grilled meats, and hotpot. The food is fresh and flavorful, with many options to choose from. The sushi and sashimi are particularly good, with a great selection of both traditional and modern rolls. One unique feature of Sambokojin is its smokeless grills, which allow diners to cook their own meats and vegetables right at their table. This is a fun and interactive experience, and the meats are of good quality and very tasty. Service: The service at Sambokojin is good, with friendly and attentive staff who are always ready to assist customers. The restaurant is usually busy, so it can take some time to get additional orders or refills, but the staff works hard to keep up with the demand. Price: The price of Sambokojin is reasonable for the quality and variety of food offered. The buffet rates vary depending on the time of day and day of the week, with lunch rates being lower than dinner rates. There are also discounts available for senior citizens and children. Overall, Sambokojin is a great choice for anyone looking for a Japanese-Korean buffet restaurant in SM Megamall. The food is delicious and varied, the ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the service is good. It's a great place to go with friends or family for a fun and filling meal.

Came back here after a year. We ate here last Dec 2020 and the experience was good that's why we tried to come back this year. Unlike last year, food choices are fewer and the quality of food is not that great anymore. Perhaps, it's because of the ever-changing COVID protocols. I understand. Hope it'll get better next time!

Average selection of food but definitely delicious. Restaurant employees are very attentive and genuinely offers help to all of our inquiries. Worth the price for a once in a while meal with friends and family

Located inside SM Megamall. We went there for a b-day celebration. When we arrived at almost lunch, there was a long queue outside. Good thing we had reservations so we were allowed entry almost immediately. I like that there are ample choices for sushi, grilling, shabu-shabu, lechon, noodles, seafood, and desserts. There is also an ice cream station where you can mix flavours and top it with different toppings. The food was mostly Asian but it was all very good. The space where were is a bit cramped. The person by the aisle have to move out to let us pass. It's a bit crowded also since it was a weekend and there are a few groups also having their parties. Overall good food but would go there when it's a little bit less crowded.

Not as good as it was pre-pandemic but the price has gone up considerably from 700-800 something to 1000. There used to be a fondue and crepe station, now gone. Refills take time. The grill we were assigned to wasn't working. We had to repeatedly call staff's attention. Apparently, the grill is blocked. For the price, the place could be a bit cleaner, too. For the birthday buffet now, you need two other full-paying guests. Before, it was just one. Compared to Vikings, also in this mall, this one needs an overhaul. Next time, we'll go back to Vikings. They kept their birthday promo (just one other full-paying adult needed), the place is cleaner, too.

-food was cold -the kitchen staff who carved the beef for me, he serves food that has fallen from the tray -no smile from the staffs too (went there around 2pm, it might be approaching the shifting time) -place a bit dark and the sofa need to be replace with the new one

Even though it was early, the meal was already cold. Either the food was bland or difficult to chew. The atmosphere was rather gloomy. There was some dirt on the plates and cups. One positive aspect was the staff's approachability and friendliness.

I was surprised that our party of 9 was seated in one long table without the pandemic-usual seating of one seat apart for social distancing. We opted for the Korean-Japanese plus Filipino buffet crossover. It cost P1088 per head. I found their selection lesser than pre-pandemic time and not as interesting-looking. We went for the thinly sliced meats, tuna and salmon sashimi, porchetta, fresh greens. We carefully selected from the cooked selections. Still had much fun but for the pricier cost, non-social distancing, and lesser selections, giving them an average rating this time.

Refilling food was kind of slow. The sashimi needs to be requested now, I guess it's to keep people from over getting more than they can finish. Staff was still wonderful, albeit taking longer times to replenish trays. All cakes were dry and far from how they were a few years ago.

We chose the Dads+Sambokojin fusion offer and was told that it'll be P988 per head for 7 people but we were billed P1,088 per head instead even if we have reservation. They need to work on adding more staffs on the tempura station, less food served with long lines and commotion starting up but their staffs are not giving much attention.

I really liked their meat selection. Although their salmon sashimi does not taste fresh. They also have lots of juices, ice cream, tempura, and other japanese dishes to choose from.

Food is okay and better in my experience compared to eating at The Heat for the price. Food choices are limited and the takoyaki offered in the establishment without octopus is kind of a miss for me.

Good place to try food with your friends or family. They have two kinds of pricing, one with Filipino cuisine and one with Korean & Japanese cuisine only. All include unlimited drinks and a lot of options. Some food seems to be a bit stale (e.g cold breaded yakitori) but it is a minor concern as there are variations. P.S the wasabi paste is low quality as it seems to be mixed with food coloring and cornstarch Rates will vary for walk-in and reservations. Paths between tables may be a bit cramped so expect human traffic when getting food and going back to your seat.

Reasonable price because there a lots of cuisines to choose from. From Japanese, to Korean to Filipino. Great place for eat outs and gathering.

All the service are great. I advice to book reservations online to avoid hassel with waiting list. There are more people at Dinner slot. Make sure to make reservations especially in this hour. I was a birthday celebrant but didn't got my complementary cake either my sister who will be celebrating the next day. The buffet offers different prices if you'll do combo(all food). I've paid 4000+ for 4 people. My sister and I is free.

Location: Located at Atrium. Good to find this place away from other restaurants and avoid the crowd. Food: Japanese and Filipino foods are available. We liked their pork chops, tempura, the lechon is somehow overrated depending on the part. Samgyup meat isn't that impressive except for with mushrooms, with vegetable rolls. Shanghai is meaty and tasty. Don't settle for the fries when dining in for dinner it is quite dry. Mango shake is definitely impressive it isn't sweet at all. Waiters: Waiters are good and hospitable. Just be little more kind at dinner they could be tired too. Show some etiquette when asking for a request. Chefs: Chefs are working hard and most of I encountered are positive looking and there's this chef at Lechon station that would make you wait longer before serving the food. Hope he gets notified sooner. Comfort room: Aesthetic wise it is all good, maintenance wise isn't that impressive. Ushers: At our table of 6, I was the last to arrive and I was assisted well since we had our reservation.

everything is great! just in case, you need to be patient enough to wait especially during the holidays. because the walk-in queue is long

BEST BUFFET EVER! Ate here a couple times already and ate to other buffet as well but this one is my favorite. The staffs are accommodating. There are a lot of food to choose like ramen, some raw meat and sea food to cook, a lot of drinks and desserts too. The table and grilling is very well made so you will not have smoke everywhere.

We dined last night at SM Megamall branch. And it was so disappointing and saddening. Sambokojin lost its heart in serving good food. Food such as tempura, sushi and a lot more tasted old, considering it was a dinner service on a weekend. The lettuce smelled already. Lemonade tasted like a car air freshner. Desserts selection is depressing. The most disgusting experience was when I was falling in line at the ice cream bar, when I picked my bowl, I kind of felt the slime underneath. When I checked the bottom part of the bowl, you can see the dark pale yellow gunk deposits. I checked the other bowls and they were all the same. Also, the fruit shake bar smelled like an infested cockroach alley. No cap! Will never return. PS. Roast Beef and Lechon Kawali tasted good.

👍👍 I missed this place! One of my comfort foods. This is our favorite place when we were in college. The place is huge, now they have more parking. The food is still great! We ordered the Shawarma Plate, Mixed Special Kebab, and the Grilled Eggplant. Order their yogurt shakes too!

👍👍 A very pleasant lunch at this place today (though the temperature inside was quite warm). The food was simply fabulous. Loved the pako salad and the Ilocos Express! The chicken adobo was also good and the Ilocos Best ( a platter of bagnet slices and a variety of Ilokano sausages) was simply the star...

😐 They have raised prices post pandemic its now P1040 a person on weekend lunch. The food spread is just so-so not a whole lot of choices and you will rotating yourself among a few dishes as a lot of the other dishes are more common. As always with mall based buffets people stuff themselves with tempu...
