We quite enjoyed our (second) visit. The collection of religious artifacts, paintings, and images was vast and preserved through time. It was meditative at the same time. I tried to imagine how it was walking through the place during the Spanish era.

The museum is next to the church and requires entrance ticket. There’s a beautiful cloister with a fountain and palm trees. Galleries are around the cloister’s hallways and contain numerous of antique objects mostly dated back to the 1700’s and 1800’s.

I enjoyed my 4-hour long visit in this renowned world heritage site very much! Entrance fee is only 200 pesos. I was so lucky that a local guide was leading a foreign visiting tour so I had a chance to listen to her historical explanation to exhibits without paying extra fee, lol. I even found a secret entrance from the right side of the church for you so you can sneak in without even paying the entrance fee... oh, what I'm talking about? Just kidding! The exhibits are shown in a very well-organized way, and even if you don't know much about history, you would get a clear idea of the life and expeditions of the religious Spanish people in the Philippines. The stories about them are interesting. The exhibitions have a huge volume. There are so many things to see and everything includes a brief and concise descriptions. Slow down your pace and you can really spend a whole day here! I should have regretted in case I miss this when visiting Manila! I'm so glad I chose here to visit in my last whole day of my trip!

Monastery-museum contains a treasure trove of Philippine artifacts, religious art, and Chinese, Spanish and Mexican pottery. The cloister gallery exhibits fine paintings of the life of Saint Augustine and portraits of notable Augustinian friars. Open 8 am to noon and 1 to 6 pm. The entrance fee is 200 PHP/adult and 160 PHP/student.

It is located adjacent to to San Augustin Church in the historic walled city of Intramuros. It was originally built in 1587 as a monastery. Since then it has gone through a lot of natural calamities and damage during World War 11. It was convertd in to a museum in 1973. It depicts the history of Christianity in Philippine since 15th century. There are a lot of relics, paitings, antiques and artefacts in a huge two storey museum which are worth seeing. Its timings are from 8 to12 and 1 to 6. Thanks a lot to our young studen cum part time guide Dean who explained to us in detail about this beautiful museum. He was not our official guide but seeing us in a big group, he helped us. GOD bless him. Worth seeing...

Awed by the San Agustine Church, find time to visit as well the Museo San Agustine, just beside the San Augustine Church. Pay P100 entrance fee and your all set for history class. Philippine History and Philippine Church history are all in capsulated in this building. They have rare artifact collection unique only in this place. It's a museum par excellence. An must stop when touring the walls of intramurus.

(Translated by Google) Very majestic historical building, Manila Cathedral is a 3-minute walk. After visiting the entire Wangcheng District, it is very sensational to the Catholic architecture. People want to have a wedding at the church and feel that they are Wang Hao. (Original) 很雄偉的历史建築,馬尼拉大教堂步行3分鐘,整個王城區逛完,對天主教建築很有感觉,讓人想在教堂辦婚禮,觉得自己是王妃了

The inner garden was for the Augustinian Friars a place of peace and meditation. It was a memory of the Paradise Garden. Here the friars come in contact with God and Nature. Looking down they contemplated the garden grass, flowers, birds and butterflies. Amidst the silence, the singing water of the fountain could be heard. This experience brought them to pray and to behind the sky. As they looked up, they could see only the high trees lile prayer going to God, the sun, and the blue sky. At night only the moon and the shark Ling stats were witnesses of their dialogue with God.

(Translated by Google) One of the most interesting museums in Manila and possibly in the whole of the Philippines, attached to the impressive Church of San Agustín, which is much more impressive than the Manila Cathedral which it surpasses in everything. The Museum of San Agustín is inside the convent and has so much to see that it is better to take a couple of hours for it. There are many surprises in this wonderful place that seems to be in any secluded place in Spain ... In addition, the most beautiful weddings in the country are celebrated in the homonymous Church. (Translated by Google) It is a must stop when you tour Manila. If you look only at the exterior, you will make a mistake of not seeing the size, history and important historical relics of Augustine's cathedral. I highly recommend that you take the time to visit the museum (200 pesos / not at all). It is also recommended to leave a life shot in the hallway or garden. It is hard to see the inside of the cathedral from the outside and look around in the hall with the admission fee. You will know why St. Augustine is a cathedral. When you see inside the sunshine day, it is good to take a picture with the splendor and splendor of the inside that the light creates. Inside the Intramuros, you can take a wagon or a bicycle and visit Intramuros after a tour of the cathedral.

St. Augustine Museum, a treasure trove of religious art that showcases the rich history of Catholicism in the Philippines. The galleries and corridors are decorated with paintings of the saint. The most popular artifacts include ceramics, ceremonial objects, botanical paintings and antique furniture.

Museo de San Agustin is co-located with the church in Intramuros and houses religious artifacts: bells, saints and religious figures carved in wood. Also inside is the room in which Governor General Jaudenes surrendered the Walled City to the Americans during the Spanish-American War.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Intramuros, or even just to visit the museum on its own. It's a huge collection of religious artifacts and there are quite a lot of interesting things to see. Be prepared to spend quite some time inside, especially if you're the type not to just mindlessly look.

Very nice place to know about Philippine history and the involvement of the missionaries of love. A lot of interesting sections too from religious artifacts, to old jars, to flora and fauna. I thought it will be a fast tour but due to the rich contents we spent almost 1.5 hours there. There's a Php 200 entrance fee for adults. I forgot how much for kids, elderly and the physically challenged.

Very informative! It gave us a great glimpse of the history of the centuries-long Augustinian mission in the Philippine islands. Kudos to the Augustinian brothers and fathers who maintained the relics and records in this museum, through fire and storm, through war and peace, and through thick and thin! God bless them!

Well maintained museum, I especially like the fountain in the middle of courtyard. They charge a high entrance fee, instead of lower it down, they give you a postcard as ticket, if you have someone to write to, this saves you from buying post card separately. A nice location to take pictures.
