Excellent Persian/Mediterranean food. I really like their kababs (an obvious specialty), whether lamb, chicken, or beef. Their basmati rice is great, too. The place smells great when you walk in. The decor is nice but not amazing, but they did just get new seasonal place mats (small, I know, but they are really nice quality). I've never had an issue with their food, which is quite a statement as I have been there a lot. Usually restaurants are bound to have a hair in their food, or something was over/under cooked, etc., but not yet at this restaurant.

Food is not tasty. Portions are small. Soup is watery, and the chicken is lean but utterly tasteless. Beef was slightly better, but I feel like the cooking was rushed and lacked the spice in more high-end places. You don't have to be expensive to taste good, but the general feeling of being cheapened just to save on food costs left a bad impression on me

We've been going to Mr. Kebab since I was in college (late 90s to early 2000 at their West Ave. branch). The food has the same quality, but it has become pricey. There are far more better Middle Eastern restaurants out there, however if you need a quick fix, Mr. Kebab will do the trick.

I've been a regular at this place since they opened, maybe it's time to move on. It's the same food, now with higher prices and poorer service to boot. They ration the garlic sauce now, often putting half full bottles on the table and taking forever to get a new one when your entire group manages to polish off that half squeeze bottle. Twice now they forgot an item in a takeout order, and then take their time to give you the extra item when you come back to get it, so that's twice the inconvenience (coming back, then the long wait that follows). Not to mention they act as if it's your fault they didn't put it in the bag. One time it was a plain yoghurt shake instead of mango yoghurt, or keema with eggplant instead of plain old keema, or double ground beef instead of one shish. Funny how they always accidentally replace a higher value item with a lower value one, but it's never the other way around. Despite clearly stating which item was for personal consumption, they dishonestly chose the lowest value dish to compute for government mandated senior discount. They're often out of one dish or another. The last 3 times it's always been beef special chelo? Only double ground is available, no shish.

Decent place. Service is pretty fast, food tastes alright but price is appropriate. Don't go in expecting some mind blowing food.
