😐 It's a shop and a museum! Many old pieces of tribal art and other antiques are surely forbidden to leave the country...without complications. All textile items are beautiful and at rather affordable prices. I particularly apreciated the abaca and nito items from Mindanao and the colorful blankets... People often mention shop,

its a great place to shop things from all over the place in philippines and I did purchased a lot of stuff BUT.... as you can see on these pictures, an ebony trunk I bought was just a painted tree.... inside of the store wasn't bright enough so I just couldn't tell this simple trick. its very sad since they do have nice stuff... it costs more to go back to the store so I just gonna through this away. please be very careful when you purchase something.

I particularly apreciated the abaca and nito items from Mindanao and the colorful blankets .There's a book shop upstairs which unfortunately lacks the "attractiveness" of other departments but is worth a visit if you are interested in the Philippines culture and history.

A great place to shop for local Filipino handicrafts. They have a lot of selections- from home decor, bags, fine art, shirts to souvenirs, jewelry and more. I will definitely come back for more to buy for my friends!

Very good and quite expensive. A great selection of high quality crafts -especially wood crafts - from all over the Philippines conveniently located in the heart of Intramuros. Prices are quite high compared to Balik Bayan or even Kultura. But I always take visitors in to see the goods, if nothing else just to see the range and craftsmanship of Filipino artisans.

Beware of dual pricing. I found a painting I liked and the price was clearly written on the back. The ladies asked for 3 times the price stated and said "it's the price in the record". When I asked to see the record (as anyone would do when buying an original piece) they said "oh no sir it's confidential". And by that I think they meant they are confidentially ripping people off to earn more commission or keep the amount above the sticker price. Sad.

Interesting place in Intramuros, Manila. If you wanto to buy some nice crafts in Philipines and are spending a day or two in Manila, you will probably go to Intramuros, so you'll pasa by. Some of the items can be found in other standar souvenir shops, but other are uniques.

Little known gem in Intramuros where you can get some high quality hand-made Filipino products. From native basketry to local furniture, Silahis has it all for you. Think of it as a native crafts emporium with three floors of art, artifacts, and everything else in between. You can get something for as cheap as a couple of hundred pesos, to rare vintage maps worth tens of thousands. A must visit for someone looking to shop for something a little bit more special.

Four floors of high-quality handicrafts from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Prices range from affordable (e.g. Php400 for a rattan basket) to midrange (3k to 6k for handwoven fabrics) to over 1 million for a National Artist's painting (Arturo Luz, BenCab anyone?). They also carry furniture, porcelain, books, maps, paintings, prints, sculpture (Tampingco, Nepomuceno, Monti, etc.) antiques, foodstuff, and more! Just browsing through their stuff is highly educational, with each item painstakingly labeled with material composition, place of origin, purpose. Hands down the best, most complete handicraft store in the Philippines.
