Come in for the products. Stay for the stories. These guys know their local culture, with real connections to the communities they source their pieces from. Their displays aren't just about selling souvenirs, but matching you with a true cultural object. Ask them about anything - the design on the weaves, the icons on the pottery, the ingredients that went into that organic soap. Let them tell you their stories. Apart from that, they also have very interesting pre-colonial design artifacts - made into wearable jewelry or big home pieces. They might be easy to miss, so do ask about those! It's unique to them.

I was looking for Philippine indigenous materials and crafts, and found out about this store on insta. That was a few years ago. Since then, I’ve been to this store a few times, and even accompanied them in one of their visits to one of the many tribes they support and work with. It’s such a fulfilling experience, and a valuable one that I will never forget!

This place is beautiful, with a great selection of art, books, and culture. I loved that the place has a very Filipino vibe, if there is such a thing! Would definitely come by here again the next time I’m around the area! Thank you for the lovely experience.

The crafts were originally crafted by indigenous groups and local companies. Their products were so fine and unique👏

The Manila Collectible Company is the best place in Intramuros for a dose of culture--whether you're buying indigenous fabrics like t'nalak from Lake Sebu, or Ifugao hammered brass bracelets , books on Philippine history, or a cool little souvenir. Well-curated, interesting, and always educational, TMCC stands out from the usual kitschy shops in the old walled city. They are friendly and will answer your questions, make suggestions, and will tell you about the item you're buying--chances are you're supporting local artisans who make handcrafted items carried by TMCC.

I was looking for something to take home as a souvenir from Intramuros, like a postcard or something. We came across this little shop while taking a respite at the line of cafes/souvenir shops in the entrance of Fort Santiago, and we checked it out cause the shop looked cool. When we walked in, locally made products greeted us. The place was full of all sorts of things, with a wide range of products, from postcards to stationary, locally crafted organic coffee and even ethnic musical instruments! Above all, their products reflect authentic Filipino craftsmanship. The textiles, hand-woven tapestry, rare wooden indigenous carvings and whatnot is a proof of the living ethnic tradition that is still alive but often overlooked. It was kind of a sensory experience, if you will. A traditional ethnic song was playing and there was this ethereal aroma that completed the whole experience. The only problem is the price of the products, some are really pricey, but it's reasonable because of its authenticity and quality. The staff was really welcoming, and really accommodating. Kind of amazed cause I never thought of such shop promoting local Filipino artisans and makers alike around the country, and also preserving the cultural legacy and diversity of the Philippines. It was overall a cultural and a thoughtful experience. It is a must to stop by this quaint store when you go to Intramuros.

Beside the beautiful authentic textiles and collectible items, what I love most about this place is the staff! I've come in several times and every time there's something new to learn. The staff and shop owner take it upon themselves to get to know their customers and show them not just around the shop but also around town (Intramuros area). Their friendly personality is addictive and sometimes I find myself extending that attitude to other customers and as I make my way back home.

The Manila Collectible is not your ordinary souvenir store. If you are looking for items that are unique and unquestionably Filipino, this is the place to be. In this store, you will find beautiful handcrafted items from the different provinces, painstakingly made by different tribes in the Philippines. What’s awesome is that it bridges the old and new. Keeping old traditions relevant. Just being in this store is a cultural experience on its own.

We must face the fact that our country is becoming more global and “cultural” practices are dwindling. This is a perfect place to visit and you'll see the beauty of glorious past, and provide the sustainable cultural arts option that the people are looking for.
