They also have a parking space. They are strictly following the health protocol. Vaccination card must be presented upon entry. They have a good ambiance to relax in the middle of a busy city. Went here for the first time they have live performance (a plus!).

Thing that you can do without in this place are the pastries. While they look so yummy bunched together in a display they are actually dry and tastes so 5 days old already. However you need to take in and experience two things hereโ€ฆthe venue (though quite hot-air conditioning not working on a very scorching day!) and the coffee! Itโ€™s a haven in the middle of the park (entry to the place may be quite confusingโ€ฆI made a 360 degree turn before locating the entrance). While we have been used to seeing Starbucks, CBTL and even Tim Hortons in venues like this, it is so nice to see homegrown coffee shops inching its way in our market!

We went here last Saturday and I can say that the hype is not worth it. Well, if you are looking for its ambiance, maybe you can consider it. But if you are looking for a good place where you can eat delicious food, it's a NO! Service: 2/10 we've been in front of the cashier for almost 10 minutes and she doesn't even spare us a LITTLE bit of attention because she was on the phone while another crew is just standing on her side. We waited our food for almost 15 minutes. Food: 2/10 I don't know how you came up with your food but ๐Ÿคฎ. I thought the food will be serve hot and crispy since they took 15minutes to deliver but NO. The french fries platter and cookies taste old and it's very messy to eat because of its flavoring and crumbs. It's worst knowing thay you pay for an expensive food. Price 2/10: totally expensive. Our bill total was 400 pesos for 2 cookies, 1 platter of french fries and a 60mL espresso. Facility: 6/10. They have a clean comfort room outside the cafe. In my experience, there's no reason for me to come back here unless they change their menu and their poor service.

CONCEPT IS COOL... AND NOTHING MORE. I mean it is: A cafe in the capitol district of historical Manila. Anyone who can appreciate the street cafes of Europe will find this place similarly quaint. But sadly, that's just itโ€”goes no further. Too expensive for the very few coffee and pastry options. If you'd expect the same level of customization and menu from say Starbucks, JCo, or Tims, you'd be frustrated and underwhelmed. Go here for the place, not the coffee. + Place is peaceful, bright, well litโ€”great space to clear your mind + Spacious al fresco tables + Cashless payment options (GCash, MasterCard) + Attentive and cheerful staff - Too limited menu options - Little to no customization on coffees - Too expensive for what they offer

A very nice looking coffee place in the middle of a busy park in the middle of a busy city. I am glad that this place sourced its coffee beans locally (Sagada). The staff were very friendly and approachable. They require you to present a vaccination card upon entry. When you enter, you will be amazed at how good looking the place is. It is very neat, with a middle of the mountain cabin type of ambiance. Food-wise, they offer a lot of cakes and bread, which I was unable to try.ย I ordered the flat white coffee, which in their menu says "better than a latte", which in my opinion is not that true to my taste (they should ask if the customer wants sugar or any sweetener on his or her drinks). I am disappointed that the coffee selection is very limited and that they call the place "kape"tolyo. I would suggest offering more on that selection. The place is also quite expensive so bring extra cash if you are planning to visit this place.

Absolutely love the place, the vibe is great and the coffee is truly worthy of being award-winning. You really have to think that it truly is possible that a cafe this nice, of this calibre, great interiors, well maintained, and this quality of coffee can be a project of the local government. Indeed I also applaud SGD coffee for running it and setting the bar pretty high for this cafe. Amazing, must-try in Manila for sure. Edit: Visited them again on a Saturday, a busier day. They could work on improving serving times and it was a bit warm to our liking when there were more people.

Have you ever been to the area around City Hall at night? If you get off the Central Terminal station and go back a little along the railroad tracks, you will see the illuminated square. A cafe on the corner. I've been here saveral times and love the homemade basil sauce pasta and sweet cinnamon rolls. The inside of the cafe is also nice and I like the view of the lights from there. It would be fun to take out a cold iced coffee from the cafe and chat with friends on the benches in the plaza! A cafe surrounded by illuminations... Doesn't it brighten up your mood somehow?

Limited Selection of coffee, we got the iced flat white P200+ a little pricey compared to other coffee shops & Chocolate cake P185. Ambiance was really good, chill & relaxing we went on sunday afternoon and they had a live jazz music. Good customer service. You should try it as well.

Not-so-hidden gym in Manila within Kartilya ng Katipunan. Really nice ambience, delicious local coffee and excellent customer service. My visit was unplanned but ended up as one of the best times I had in Manila. Hopefully I can come back soon.

Never been here since nasobrahan ata sya sa hype last time kaya laging madaming tao. Fortunately, vacation time na so walang tao nung nagpunta kami (weekdays,~4pm). Prices: expensive af, did not expect for this place to be this expensive Athmosphere: very serene and aesthetic ng interior, unfortunately close ung upstairs area. Service: took a longg time for nachos and cheese stick to be given to us. HOT Chocolate was served in a handleless cup (how tf should we drink this while hot????) Food: not worth it for the price range, seriously, cheesticks- fat and not your kanto cheestick naman- worth 200+ is damn expensive though the sauce is good (salsa taste). Nachos- the meat was not beef/ground pork more like chorizo, the saucee tasted like nothing at all ๐Ÿ˜… Drinks: we all ordered hot chocolate which was super sweet you have to add water many times just to balance the flavor. It was thick and creamy, wished the mug/cup is with a holder ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Overall this is just your minsan lang place, wherein you just want to try new things ๐Ÿ˜…

A refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of Manila. Along with the park as its backdrop, its ambiance would totally give you that cozy vibe. They even have this loft that you can reserve for private meetings. Flavor-wise, they prefer their coffees strong. Even supposedly the most subtle Flat White that they serve still has that strong coffee sting. They have a good selection of pastries to complement their caffeine offerings. Some have interesting twists such as the Bibingka Cheese Cake. Unfortunately, some of their pastries are considered hit-and-miss. They also serve some savory treats with a touch of coffee in it as well. You might like to give these a try. The coffee crew is very friendly and accommodating. But just take note that they are under the CLEAN AS YOU GO setup. So, as much as they are hospitable, it's best that you clean your mess after eating. Is it affordable? A small cup of coffee is equivalent to a tall glass of milk tea with extra toppings and salty cream in a well-known milk tea joint. So if you like to visit a unique oasis that serves strong coffee and interesting treats plus supports local coffee growers, this is the place for you.

We tried their adobo version for lunch. I liked it. I like the combination of mangoes, tomato with thick, flavorful adobo sauce on black rice. It's definitely not the typical taste for adobo in a good way. I actually left nothing on my plate. Serving size is just good for one so its a little pricey in my opinion. Parking wasn't that hard when we were there on a Thursday noon. The temperature inside was warm since doors were open and the fans inside were towards the ceiling for circulation, according to the staff. There's a small room upstairs for meetings but we didn't get the chance to check it out.

The cafe is at its best location! After arriving at the LRT 1 central station and before you start to walk going intramuros, luneta, National museum and other places around manila, you need a coffee in order to start your day. Best view and coffee. Love the interior and the outdoor dine as well. Love everything in here.

We tried it due to popular demand. Great ambiance but upon entering and seeing the menu. My expectations went downhill. Limited coffee. Quite expensive. No iced coffees.. and really disappointed on the part that my hot coffee was served in a glass not in a mug๐Ÿ˜…. Like what the hell? So what will happen to people who likes their coffee extra hot? Feels like, I ain't coming back.

my team decided to try out this place since we are working nearby and curious of this place. it is a bit pricey and the service is too lame... for a espresso with vanilla ice cream which cost P165 (serving is as small as smallest taho serving) we waited for 30minutes. The staff is rude and unpleasant, its our first time at Kapetolyo so we didn't know their rules that you should clean your table as you go, there were no even signage or reminders...the female staff voicing out to us that we should take our used plastic utensils and pointing the garbage can near us in the disrespectful manner. The taste would compensate the cost that we paid but the kind of service would made us not to comeback again.

The coffee was nice. But a bit expensive and served on a glass. A mug would be nice. The ambiance was nice and cozy. The tables and chairs were disinfected from time to time. Some of the items on the menu weren't available even the breakfast. :( But it's still early like 9am. Anyway, what's surprising is the attitude of some employees that weren't that courteous. :( It wouldn't hurt to smile a bit and be friendly. There was no available rest room as well and the nearest one was in SM Manila. The Public Restroom that time isn't available.

Among the best coffee shop ambience I have. Excellent view, great interior and architecture, soothing music. For improvement: 1. They should add more items on their menu. Their white coffee is mediocre. 2. Provide the appropriate utensils (they should not give plastic forks for their revel bars and Biscotti's, and a HOT GLASS instead of a mug for coffee?) 3. It is 2020. They should make their establishment friendly to credit cards and other cashless payments. We are not comfortable carrying cash for sanitary and safety purposes. Overall, good, four stars!

COOL CAFร‰, that's it. A cafรฉ in the middle of historical Manila is a great location but that's it. The place is very cozy, spacious and peaceful in the middle of the busy streets of the city. The staff are all nice. They also accept cashless payments (GCash/BPI) The cons I could say is their menu. Aside from few coffee and food options, they're also too expensive. If you're looking for good delicious food, nah. I only enjoyed their affogato. But if you're into unique shops and into local shops that support local market, this is a perfect place. Hope they could offer and make more customized coffee just like other local shops. Also, provide sugar and cream for those who want to add sweetness to their drink.

It was my first time going to this place... The ambiance of the coffee shop is cozy (aesthetic). They offer limited options for coffees ( I didn't take note, maybe around 5 types only and a bit pricey), variety of pastries (price range same as coffee bean/coffee project), and meals also. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a "go to" place for me. I'm from Cavite but I do have my favorites shops (that has more amenities) I often go to when I travel to Manila. And also, there's no WiFi, which is a minus.

โœจPRICEY ๐Ÿฅฒ Pricey compared to other cafes. knowing they're in-front of a community college, I thought they'll be affordable. Only tried their iced mocha. I must stay it was great. Chocolate was rich AF! And the coffee was strong. I'll try the food next time. Ambiance was great. Cozy and calming vibe. Service just okay. A bit slow than i expected.

I had a very pleasant dining experience when I visited Kapetolyo. There were 3 customers when I came in and I got accommodated immediately when I was ready to place my order. Staff on duty was very professional and friendly. Ambience is serene and relaxing. I ordered the cinnamon roll and black coffee - both divine! Price is reasonable. I will surely come back and would like to try their meals. Thanks for an excellent experience!

I was excited to come across this place on the way to the National Museum, it is a very short 4 min stroll from Central Terminal LRT. The vibe and ambiance are very nice and I was glad to see that they showcase local products. I had the PH Single Origin black coffee and the cordillera strawberry ice cream. The coffee was clean and fruity while the ice cream was unlike any I have tried before, icy and yet has a great creamy mouthfeel, not to mention the sweet strawberry. If youโ€™re a coffee lover this place is an absolute must, sip your brew while taking in the greenery of Heroโ€™s Park. Support local ๐ŸคŽ

The shop is nicely lit, and has a pleasant interior design, with a high ceiling. It had lots of chairs and tables to dine in. The coffee was good. Sadly, the award winning coffee bean origin was out of stock when I visited. Sad too, that they didnt have other brew methods on offer such as pour over or French press. They currently only serve espresso-based preparations. The oatmeal choco chip cookie, and the chocolate cranberry biscotti, paired well with the brewed coffee. The staff were courteous and helpful.

Cafe is pretty good actually, from decoration to hygiene everything is fantastic. Lots of space also if you're planning to go with group, and most important thing is glass walls which will give you awesome view of outside and when I went it was raining so the view was ecstatic. Now you must be thinking why I gave three stars it is because of the behaviour of staff and that is I won't say rude but not that welcoming also. It's just what I felt everyone has different perspective. A smile goes a long way guys it is you and your quality of beverages will decide that a person should visit the same place again or not. And in my case the beverages I ordered were upto the mark but not the staff. Keep working on yourself and this cafe is gonna reach massive heights of success. Thank you

Ambiance is 5 Food is 3 Coffee is 3 The place is really nice and cozy. Definitely instagrammable that's why it's a 5. We ordered Carbonara and Pesto and it tastes okay. Normal and nothing special that's why it's a 3. For the coffee, they only have 4 selection and only 2 is available. It's good. But we're hoping for them to have more since their name suggest 'coffee capital'. Hence, it's a 3. Hopefully, they improve their food and coffee in the future.

The coffee is expensive and the selection is limited. I believe it was mentioned by the Mayor that this coffee shop will cater to the masses, the price point is definitely on the higher scale. The flat white coffee costs 170 pesos and it's the same size as the tall hot coffee of Starbucks. Their cake costs 180 per slice. The cookies and revel bar cost 80 to 90 pesos.

There was so much fanfare and a lot of influencer wannabes made their photoshoots here that I was intrigued. The lights at the newly cleaned Kartilya park was a bit too much but it was the attraction and this was the sole decent resto smack on it. The other small eateries outside the park were almost literally "in the dark". Anyway, there is limited choices in the menu and their offerings are pretty expensive. Take for example my order, small cup of yogurt with crushed biscuits on top was already php 165. Bestseller flat white is Php 170. There was a second floor which was closed for a private event during my visit. No free wifi. They also have some temp check and contact tracing before entering hence the line outside.

Ambiance is great, but the food (taste and variety) is just so-so for me. Waited in line for an hour (maybe more) because apparently the five free tables have already been reserved. Why they didn't let customers use them while waiting for those with reservation (who arrived an hour later) is something I can't understand. Not going back.

Came to Kapetolyo Sunday, Dec 6, for an afternoon coffee and some sweets with my sisters and our spouses after watching someone talking about it on TV. We were not disappointed. The place was clean, cozy and well sanitized. The wait was bearable as it was a Sunday afternoon. Their featured Coffee from Baguio and their best seller cacao cake made our day. Their cheese cake, banana bread and bibingka cheesecake were delicious. We received an excellent customer service from the staff, specially Angelo. Parking wasnโ€™t too bad. Kapetolyo is situated just right in front of Manila City Hall. It has this 'Starbucks' feel because of the high ceiling, big glass windows, doors and dark brown paint. A bit crowdy but it was okay. Menu is still limited though. We ordered Champorado and 2 cheese sandwich (sorry I forgot the exact name). Champorado is great! Reminds you of childhood. Sandwich is a bit salty because of the cheese maybe. We tried their Single Origin and their special blend (so sorry I forgot what it was). I liked the special one more because it wasn't that sour and the bitterness was just right. Worth a try? Why not!

The public comfort room beside the cafรฉ is not managed by the Kapetolyo but by the City of Manila. Ask first if the comfort room is opened or you will be scouting outside the park to relieve yourself. But I salute the people behind the renovation. Our experience was only ruined by inaccessibility to this basic necessity in any major park.

(-) Overrated, over priced food and beverages -- given that the materials are sourced locally. (-) Nothing special with the Flat White and Black Coffee, small serving (-) TociWrap is awful (+) Ambiance is okay

What??? They serve only Hot Coffee but a variety at that, i like their not so sweet Tablea Cake. It would be best if they have Cold ones or Frappes.

Well we had a good experience here. The ambiance is great, the coffee is great. I understand that they have limited coffee options and that's what we like because we know that they know their specialty and would serve the best they could. We also ordered a cake.

Great ambiance and very nice coffee. However, they need to be more detail into serving their customer. Like, providing appropriate utensil for specific pastry. Also, sugar and cream for those who ordered black coffee.

This coffee shop looks good and is in a nice place. Unfortunately, when my friends and I decided to order a take out, it took a long while for the servers to pack two bread which was left expose in the center console behind the counter. As for the quality of the food was much to be desired (pricier than well known international coffee chains). I do hope also that the servers would be much more apologetic regarding the situation. Not taking a second look at this place.

Awful service. After our stroll in Binondo, we decided to relax and went to this place only to find out that it will just ruin our mood. The female staff assign in their alfresco is very unwelcoming. The mistreatment towards us is appalling, its like she's choosing who she's going to accommodate well because of their clothing, she keeps going back on our table with a rushing vibe to clear it even if were not yet done. We ended up leaving immediately. I just hope that you train your staff and let them know what great customer experience is and be fair, you don't give us that look and attitude because we're just wearing normal clothes.

A good place with good ambiance (especially this December) to chill, and catch up with friends and love ones while enjoying the smell of brewed coffee, zip the drinks of your choice, with pastries of course, and enjoy the sound of relaxing music (with live performance sometimes). You can even unwind in the gardens nearby! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Big disappointment ! I think it needs better management. Place is nice, but not comfortable. Coffee is good , but limits variety to what they want to serve for the week. No credit cards and you have to ask for receipt. Crew is not well trained, hot coffee is served in glass with no handle. Such a waste! Definitely needs improvements !!!

Ambiance is good - may similarity sa Coffee Project Coffee taste is average. I was able to order a flat white, price for an overiced flat white didn't seemed match with the quality of coffee. I'd rather have SB. Cashier Crew isn't approachable. Remember it's the customer's right to ask you about your menu, have a little more patience.

Pang alta ung prices ng food and drinks. Tbh nothing special about their coffee except they won an award daw. Place is nice, comfy, Staff are accomodating naman pero the taste for their food and the price does not add up. Their iced tea was extra sweet. Loved the Baklava though.

Situated near key sites in Manila like SM Manila, Manila City Hall, UDM, and Rizal Park. If you work/study around here, its a good place to stay with plenty of sockets for your laptop, though most people stay here for a good meal so don't be surprised if you're the only one working. Still, the food and the coffee for me, imply a long days work with award winning coffee. Be sure to try their affogato! For me, its a nice twist and a good option for caffeine if you have a sweet tooth like me.

The coffee is good! But note that your coffee selection is limited. Pastry selection is great, thereโ€™s lots to choose from. I got the Pan Au Chocolat since I got the Flat White. It was hard and a little dry. Space is nice but be careful when stepping at the path outside, itโ€™s quite slippery. Price range: P170-P450.
