The bar looks like an old house. Recommended to reserve prior the visit; otherwise, you have to wait for the staff’s advice to enter. This place is great for intimate get togethers. Menu is viewed online by scanning the bar code. Alcohol is good (cocktail price varies : PHP 350 up) but the food might have been great if the servings can be shared by 2 or more people - food is too expensive. The food presentation as per picture is like from a luxury hotel, but why bother if you are only there to get drunk or hang out quickly with friends. It doesn’t seem ideal to serve in a bar. Comfort Room: only 1, shared by any gender Staff: friendly, approachable

Loved the vibe and atmosphere of this bar. The specialty cocktails were delicious, and the drumming show was very cool. Can’t wait to return and share the place with more friends!

This is not just a restaurant it’s an experience. We had some amazing drinks that came with stories and a full dramatization. The meal was delicious and the staff were so kind. They also had their own liquor lines that were made locally that were amazing. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

probably the only way I could be convinced to eat balut. hipster version combo with chicharron worked well. portion size too big for one... left me 3/4 to start my ribs, couldn't appreciate too much. good afaict. cocktails were great. worth to visit for the cocktails alone.

Excellent authentic bar with local ingredients. Menu changes every three month which is crazy work to do. The food was amazing with delicate flavors. Good spot to hang and a bar to visit.

Went to Ugat, the smaller bar they have below Agimat, for my team's christmas party. The place is chill, and all the drinks are good! I think we met the owner since he talked to us for a bit, and gave us two ube drinks! We were cheering and hollering on our "awarding" LOL definitely a memorable experience!

We really enjoyed our 1st visit here. Ambience was good. Service was great. We loved how everything was well thought of -- from the interior design, to the food, and most especially, the drinks! We will definitely come back again.👌🏼

Really fun bar! Drinks are very unique with a ~native feel. The special cocktails are also a treat, each one has either a performance or something special (like a special effect to it). Music is also great, mellow old sing along songs (on weekdays). Would recommend and would come back! Oh and interiors are perfect!!

The Agimat and Ugat Bar is like an old house with an indoor forest vibe. Interior lighting and design is very nice. We just got a couple of beers and good thing they also have a live singer. Will try their curated cocktails next time. Price is not that cheap.

Contemporary twist on tradition local dishes. Nice atmosphere and food presentation. Non-alcoholic cocktails were a nice touch for us non-drinkers. Waiter forgot one of the items we ordered which we never ended up receiving but not a deal breaker. Overall definitely worth checking this place out. Recommend reservations.

My friends and I enjoyed the drinks and food here. We were given the seat just right outside the toilet. It's pretty unpleasant when other customers/staff leaves the door open after using it. Ube Liquor was a great experience and enjoyable live band.

Service is SUPERB! All their staff are friendly and nice. I just can’t explain how happy we were because you don’t get to see this often. Food selection, most especially their pica-pica, could be improved. We found ordering the same thing all throughout the night. Would appreciate wider selection. Don’t order the chicharon with egg 😅 kamote fries & the fried basket are okay. Cocktail Drinks are priced from P350-P400+, fave was whiskey sour and ube liquer (because I like my drinks sweet with a kick!), and the beers are also REALLY GOOD which are priced from P200-P250. DJ music could also be improved but overall nice vibes, we get to sing and dance our hearts out! 😊 Whenever someone orders their Creation drinks, they perform this amazing “ritual” where they showcase their barista skills to create the concoction, honestly it’s amazing! Also to note, if you want to reserve a table, there’s a P1,500 per head consumable rate on fridays and saturdays! But despite that I think you can just order anytime at the bar.

Looking forward to trying again in a couple of months. Primarily because of the ambiance. Bukidnon is famous for many culinary discoveries but their Bukidnon Wagyu was too chewy for me. I do appreciate all the tedious work they do with their food and what they have done to the place. Quite popular with many people when we dined. Choose where to seat. I got bumped quite a few times while dining. Not exactly appreciated specially when youre about put something in your mouth or about to drink or worse, in the middle of a joke. Their water is freshly flavoured by a Philippine fruit. Nice. They have this flaming drink that seems to be ordered by many. The order comes with a few seconds of “drums”. Note : this place is in the second floor. There are no proper banisters so just watch your steps. They’ve placed candles to help those with poor vision like me.

Agimat at Ugat Foraging Bar and Kitchen is not an ordinary ordinary bar, nor is it located in any ordinary area with an ordinary exterior or interior. Most drinks have been modified (both in taste and execution), to suit the tastes and preferences of the Filipino upper class. A powerful bar with experienced and skilled bartenders. The bar is trendy and attracts different ages. On my visit, most were between 30 and 40 years old. The cocktails I tried were presented with passion and fervor. The taste was quite sweet for me. This is an expensive bar and quite different, but definitely worth several visits.

Made reservation of the table, they made us sit by by the bar so it's not followed.. a bit uncomfortable to eat salty dinner, .. even bartenders and waiters calling names on customers they don't like to serve, can't help to overhear sitting by the bar. As customers, no one cares about the waiters, what we care is just to dine and served nicely. We don't care if the dine is expensive as much as we get what we pay for. The service is awful. Tried ritual drink, looked like they were forced to do it.

I am not used to exploring Poblacion as it is very far from my home back when I was still working in Metro Manila. Nevertheless, I am glad that Agimat at Ugat is the first bar that I tried. We had the Bahay Kubo Fried Platters as our pulutan. It was delicious especially if you dip it in mayo or vinegar. As for our drinks, we tried Kanto Salted Caramel Vodka, Ube Cream Liqueur, Marikit, and Mojito. This is the first time that I had alcoholic drinks that didn't taste or smell like alcoholic drinks! They were all simply good and had some strong punch. I liked Kanto Salted Caramel Vodka and Ube Cream Liqueur the most, which as far as I remember, are among the bar's signature drinks. The prices were also relatively okay overall; usually around PhP 300.00 per drink. We were just lucky because we went to the bar at 5pm, and from 5-8pm, they usually serve for two people for every order of a drink. The place also has a very nice and artsy ambiance! The owners know how to pick good music! Will definitely come back!

I love this place, such a cool vibe, I will definitely come back for happy hour, which is apparently around 5-8 , 2 for 1 beers and cocktails. I tried 2 ube cocktails, it was soooo delicious, pretty strong too. And the bacon vodka one, they were soooo good. They had a live band on the first floor when I got there and a dj on the second. The only thing that concerns me is that they only have one toilet stall for the whole capacity of the place, but it is so pretty in there. Everything is crafted so delicately, I love the attention to detail to everything, the food was sooo bomb too. Beef salpicao, wow.

Lively place. Cocktails were really good (I had the sirena drink) and I also enjoyed the food. Filipino theme so a hit with foreigners. Bartenders would occasionally put on a ritual performance while making drinks, complete with flames and gongs. Really enjoyed the experience.

Love the vibe of this place. Definitely one of my favorite places to hang out in Pob. First timers must try their specialty drinks that come with a "ritual". The ube cocktails are superb, must try too.

Been to this place a couple of times and they serve some of the best cocktails around. They use locally brewed spirits and even do performances for some of their specialty drinks. Music is also great but there’s no real dance floor to enjoy it. Place can be quite packed. Reservations are advised so you can get a table for your group.

Impressive out of this world cocktails. The ceremonies they execute to make one were entertaining. Service is excellent. Although where we were seated is next to the toilets and u can smell the stench of urine 🤢. Music is overly too loud for a so-called bar, you hardly can hear conversations. The location is good next to other bars.

Top notch cocktails. Been here for the first time in Feb 23 and wanted to come back when back in town again as to see if it was a fluke or genuinely a top notch joint. Must say that their cocktails are absolutely top notch. Not only they are their own creations, they mainly use local booze and the experience isn’t just the taste but the whole theatrical experience as well. Would recommend this bar and would come again!

Really enjoyed their drinks, excellent service from their staff, but their 2 Roxas Tacos dish can be improved. It was my third time at Agimat at Ugat and we arrived past 10pm on a Saturday so the place was packed already but they had 2 spaces at the ground floor bar for me and my friend so we could just walk in. They had a live music act which got the crowd roading and signing along. Their staff were very attentive and gave excellent service. I thought that it was about time that I tried out the Poot ni Bathala experience and it was great! You can only have the ritual done on the 2nd floor so we were asked to temporarily relocate there. Super fun ritual and it was nice to steal the spotlight from the 2nd floor for a minute. The drink itself was really nice and sweet and it's nice talking about the meanings behind the drinks with foreigner friends. The only thing I would like them to improve was the dish I ordered which was the 2 Roxas Tacos which were just bad. Wouldn't recommend ordering them and the price was difficult to justify. Nonetheless I recommend this place for wonderful drinks and do recommend booking in advance if you're a big group.

We ate A LOT here and the food’s consistently good. Quite liked the balut they do it in a special way here. The fish tacos are pretty great too. Only negative for me is the music is super loud for some reason. Other than that, everything’s great. Fully recommend this place

Wow, this place is sleek, cool, upscale atmosphere. The utmost fun cocktails. The duo, guitarists and female singer, were the icing on the cake. All this within a fun neighborhood. We didn't realize until we left of an attached upper level with dj music. Everybody was so kind. Congrats to manager.

A bar with unique concept. You can enjoy a more private space in the first floor with an acoustic entertainment. If you want to feel the bar and party vibes you can go to the second floor. It serves alcohol and non alcohol drinks. You can also order some local foods here.

I went by myself in January, on a short stop in Manila, after being told that this is a new spot and has good cocktails. I like the creativity, but everything was too sweet for my taste. Service wasn't too bad until I asked if I can use the WiFi, as my data stopped (had a new simcard). The staff wasn't very helpful at all, wasn't expecting this in the Philippines. Anyhow, that's how I justify my rating. Something to improve on, hospitality.

Buckle up for an amazing experience 🤩 Ordered a drink named Ritual and the whole crew literally started a ritual to prepare drink 😅. Every drink tastes, looks and even named in an unique way. Even though rate is at a pricier side it’s definitely worth the quality of experience, try to get a seat closer to bar counter 😀

Quaint upstairs bar in the Poblacion area. Not very big but has a great vibe. The music was great, with a mixture of genres. The drinks prices were relative to other bars in the area. The staff were very polite and accommodating. Only one mixed comfort room, which made a bit of a queue at times. The door man did his best to keep things flowing. Worth a look.

The positive feedback from my sight: Funny names of the drinks. At night, lots of people, quite busy, usually fridays less crowd. The menu is really creative and the space is kind of crowded because it is a bar after all. The music vibe so pumped and clubbin' with DJ twists. Jungle atmosphere area with great geometric drawings on walls as designs. The tacos are soo delicious! Also the chicharon is so huuge. I highly recommend ordering the tacos. One of the owners gave us a compliment Moët bottle which is a nice gesture. There has been some complications. 1.Even though the menu was creative, the drinks were awful. I even tried the ritual ang Agimat, it tasted really bad. 2. We placed 2 cakes in their fridge. The first cake took a while to bring with the lit candles, plates and forks. We asked for the 2nd cake but the waiter never got back. She left it so she can pick it up another day but sadly your staff threw it away.. A cake because of "storage space". That is just BS and awful, throwing away without asking us. However, will be given a refund. 3. We booked your place and your staff told us they would have only 22 people allowed upstairs. But unfortunately, there were a lot of people. Next to us, people were smoking their tobacco and cigars.. like why. It smelt awful. Smoking in a closed area and we were really crowded. That stench is unbearable! 4. The waiter put the wrong stuff in the receipt and it was overpriced comparison to the menu prices. He comes and goes or never comes back. Bad service I'd say. We requested for music but never played any of it. They gave us the drinks without glasses and we had to ask over and over again and it took so long. Fix your customer service issues and change the drinks. Make booze taste better! Sodas matching with vodka and gin is a no-go!

The reason why I prefer visiting a restaurant with a bunch of people is because you get to try a little bit of everything, which is exactly what happened when my friends and I went to Agimat in Poblacion on a Saturday night. We came at 7, when the place was just starting to fill up. Loved how the menu uses Filipino names for its dishes and cocktails (descriptions are in English), it was a little bit like a history lesson. The low down : (refer to menu pics) For refreshing drinks a little bit on the sweet side, choose from the Tubig options. Their cocktails are fun and interactive. The food was creative: we tried four starters, the alimasag, the balut, the ceviche and pork trotters. For mains, we had the pork, short ribs, duck and prawns. We found that we preferred the starters over the mains, with the balut and ceviche as standouts. For the mains, the duck and prawns were quite good. We had the saba for dessert, which is a boiled banana placed atop a bed of cheese and honey. Eating Filipino food this flavorful requires rice, to balance the richness. It was a good thing we were a big group and shared everything. Minimum charge per person is Php 1000. If you charge with a card, it will be swiped in Alamat, their mother company, which is a block away. It was a really good meal, made better eaten with friends. 8

Located in poblacion, makati near makati avenue and the red light district, Agimat is a Filipino concept restaurant where they meld theatrics with the food. Presentation is important in this restaurant and I find it amazing how they use Philippine ingredients so as to elevate Filipino cuisine. There's no parking here and the place is small.

Favorite resto in Poblacion area! Amazing drinks and food! The concept of their dishes is interesting also as they have a farm to table policy- youre sure that the ingredients used are all fresh! Forgot the name of this drink with the shell but it's very light but has a refreshing taste. Lastly, the ambiance of the whole resto just seals the deal.

Went there on a monday and surprisingly found it alive. It was an acoustic night, which my friends and I enjoyed. All staff members & bartenders were so friendly & gave us a lot of free shots. They have a variety of cocktails that i found very unique, a must try! The interior is also amazing. Will definitely bring more friends over.

For a bar it’s a great place for a group of 4-6 people. Place can be tight so make a reservation ahead of time. The bartenders are very knowledgeable with their menu and even perform rituals for certain drinks. I liked the saba (banana) dessert and Salpicao. I wouldn’t repeat the vegetable tempura. Hope they come up with more food options!

Place is nice and service is good. Cocktails however aren't all that great and prices can take you aback. Overall a bit of a pretentious experience, whether you will like it depends on your priorities.

A hip bar in Poblacion which specializes in their award-winning Ube Cream Liqueur. I tried their Ube Cream Liqueur cocktail topped with caramel popcorn, Mojito and Caramelized saba (banana) with homemade ricotta, toffee and abra wild honey. The cocktails were decent/unique especially the Ube Cream Liqueur based drink and packs a punch too. The dessert was delightful and I enjoyed it their twist to the classic caramelized saba.

Tops it to my list of cocktail bars in PH! They use small batch crafted spirits from traditional Filipino ingredients. Signature cocktails are spot on in terms of taste, presentation and local inspiration. Food is also great! Tried the Pata and Krema Smoked Bangus and it was 👌🏻 💯 Ended up getting a bottle of the award winning Ube Cream Liquer Must come back! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
