I stayed on the hotel for my quarantine while waiting for swab test result. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff are helpful and accommodating. They answered all inquiries real time.

The location of this hostel was so good. Rooms were spacious, clean and affordable. They also have private rooms which are sooo comfortable. There is a rooftop with an amazing view where you can eat or have drinks. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. The area is very walkable, there is a street food market nearby which was very nice. I have spent here only one night but I would love to return again because I really loved it.

The worst quarantine hotel I ever had!!! I DON'T RECOMMEND this hotel to anybody!!! I've been quarantined to a lot of hotel since pandemic and I promise that this hotel was the worst one from your personal belongings til before I checked out from them. There is no complementary coffee or any drinks once you arrived, You will only be required 1 small bottle of water per request per day. And most of all you are not allowed to order and received foods from the outside of the hotel. For those people who needs to be quarantined, check the hotel reviews first.

Stay here for at least 10 days...more than qualify to review this place with details observed.. First I would like to say the rooftop restaurants food is very good, and the views is breathtaking. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly to me, and try to make the requested food available even though there is no available ingredients. The rooftop restaurant is a must try place if you are here. Secondly, if you are on business trip, this place is good for that. The internet is outstanding stable, you can even watch movies and play games with no significant lagging. Thirdly, the bed room condition and the rest room is very clean, probably the best in makati area for such budget price. Lastly, the front office desk was friendly in the beginning, but as I stay longer they tend to neglect the long staying customers..also there ia misunderstanding between myseld and the front desk staff, since then they never talk to me. When I extend my stay one of the front office staff say to me" extend again??" I was like... isn't that even a good news?? Overall rating, place is outstanding but front office staff can be improved by not judging customers. Every customers that spend their money is equally important, even when you have a problem with a guest, after resolved should talk to the customer like usual duty, do not treat customers like your neighborhood friends. They are not the same. My extended stay wasn't pleasant but because I am on a business trip I have limited choice.

We stayed for two nights in that hostel and had a great time. The rooms are pretty and well taken care of, the location is perfect and the views are stunning. The common area has a lot of Charme and is perfectly made for young travellers. We’d recommend this hostel and hope to come back one day :)

The worst quarantine I would say. When I arrived I saw the cup was so dirty. The towel looked like it has been around for decades. They only change body towel after 5 days! Not even a hand towel nor floor rug available! There were a lot of cockroaches creeping and you'd hear them moving from the wall. There are no food choices. Water bottle was limited to one per meal! That's not even the recommended glasses per day! Had to asked for more! Told the staff it was my birthday so I asked if at least I could have a little cupcake as treat but the front desk just told me they don't have any. No effort at all! She recommended their restaurant but they don't offer pastry. I'm not making all these up, please don't choose this hotel!

Amongst all the hostels I’ve tried in the Philippines, this is the best experience so far in terms of facilities of a hostel. And more importantly, the rooms and neat and clean. The staff were quick to help travelers too! Many thanks to the lady at the reception for helping me print my flight documents and to the bartender at the roofdeck for making a great White Russian 🥃 Will post photos later!

✅ Fairly decent and clean rooms. ✅ Fast wifi. ✅ Breakfast is yummy, but not too filling. 🤔 Can improve their soundproofing features, since you can hear people talking in the hallway.

Accessible, great location in Makati. Great value for money. Room is well-lit and ventilated. Tasteful aesthetics. Beds are firm, clean and sleep magnets. Restroom has the standard fixtures with centralized hot water. Key card is a plus for convenience and limited access to other levels. Restaurant at the penthouse has an airy and classy vibe. Breakfast was delicious and in ample servings. Most of all, the staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. Highly recommended 👌 👍

Don't stay here. This place is a very low grade, poorly managed, wannabe hip/cool backpacker hostel. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, covered in black mold on the walls, the ceiling, the shower curtain. The water comes out the back of the shower head more than the front. If you leave the water on for more than 3 minutes it overflows onto the floor and goes everywhere. The washing machines are gross and unusable. I've been locked out of my room 3 times now in 3 days because the cheap cards stop working randomly. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra couple of dollars and get a hotel. This place is trying to copy the success of Thailand and Vietnam having a big social building with many rooms which would be great if the place wasn't so dirty and had more of a social atmosphere. I have stayed at over 50+ hostels in southeast Asia and this is by far the worst I have ever been to. It's near nothing, zero stuff to do, super dirty, clueless staff. I could go on and on. Just go somewhere else I beg you! Such a disappointment as it looked good in pictures. Counting down the hours until I go somewhere better.

Good hotel for the Makati night life. Rooms were clean and functional. Cafe style area on the reception floor with tables for laptop users, pool table, drinks, etc. Rooftop restaurant had a decent hot and cold buffet breakfast.

I rented a bunk in the all women’s room here for one night as I had a flight in the morning and wanted to do a Makati bar hopping tour. The way everything is structurally built is nice but things are a little run down. My pillowcase had hairs on it before I slept in my bed so they weren’t mine which was concerning but I travel with my own covers to keep things clean so I was able to rest but it didn’t feel the cleanest. I woke up the next morning with a lot of bites I’m not sure if they were from a spider or mosquito, I did check the mattress and didn’t see bed bugs but still concerning. The common space areas seemed as if they were cute 2-3 years ago a lot of the chairs were stained and the space needed a face lift. For the price it’s not worth it if you are traveling with multiple people you can get a hotel for the same price but if you are an alone traveler who needs a space to stay temporarily it’s not bad.

One of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed at. We had a private room on the 11th floor and the room was immaculate, modern and had great facilities (fridge, kettle, coffee/tea, hairdryer etc) and the views were amazing. Convenient location for the airport and in a good area for restaurants and bars. The common area is nice with a pool table, chill out room and rooftop bar. Thought it was very good value for money, would recommend.

We slept in a mixed 8 bed dormitory and it was perfect! The beds are big and super comfortable, you have a lot of privacy. Each bed has a curtain, lights and power outlets. You have a locker for your backpack. They provide towels and the shared bathroom was big and super clean! Highly recommended!

The reviews are true. It's clean, and you'll have no problems with safety. I had some work emergencies that caused me to check-in almost 10pm, and I have to be at the airport at 3:15am. Despite that, I was still able to sleep well. I asked the concierge to wake me up. They gave me a call. Word of advice: please bring an extra mini padlock for the safety cabinet. But it's still safe even without the lock. I just kept mine beside me. I wasn't able to take photos of the room since there are guests inside. But it's exactly the same as advertised.. even better when you see the actual one. I have no problems with the shower rooms. They have a washing machine, hair dryer.. toilet and shower rooms with shampoo and body wash. Very helpful, respectful and kind staff. Will book there again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Amazing Hostel during my travels, and I must say, it truly lived up to its name. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The hostel's atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with common areas designed for socializing and meeting fellow travelers. Whether it was the cozy lounge area and there was always a sense of camaraderie and friendship in the air. The staff at the Amazing Hostel were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure that every guest had a comfortable and memorable stay. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and were always happy to provide recommendations for things to see and do. Their enthusiasm and passion for hospitality were evident in every interaction, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just another traveler passing through. One of the highlights of my stay was the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean, and hot showers were always available, providing a refreshing respite after a day of exploring the city. The hostel also had reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property, making it easy to stay connected with loved ones back home. Overall, my experience at the Amazing Hostel exceeded all expectations. It provided not only a comfortable place to rest my head but also a welcoming community of like-minded travelers with whom to share unforgettable memories. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for an exceptional accommodation experience during their travels.

My experience here was great! Friendly staff members, good rooms, decent bath, overall not bad for a budget hotel. Their service is even better than I had at the Royal Sonesta (which is a top and expensive hotel in Houston, Texas). Many expensive hotels should learn the level of service provided here in Lub D Philippines.

I rarely write reviews but I had to for Lub D. I think they are the best value for money (you can get dorm rooms for as low as 600/night if you book ahead or avail their promotions). Stayed at the all female dormitory. I love that everything is well designed and thought out. Had a very comfortable stay. Pros: Comfortable bed, coworking spaces, fast wifi, accommodating staff, great location (Century City Mall and Rockwell are walking distance; easy to take grab/angkas to other areas of Makati), laundry machine and hairdryer in the common bathroom Cons: extremely slow elevators and one was not working my entire stay (request for a lower flow so you can just walk up and down the stairs) Will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Lub D!

Design of the dorm is nice and comfortable. It could be cleaner though. The floor was not cleanedand there were cockroaches in the room. And I missed a drink water point, now you are forced to buy plastic bottles. Laundry service available and a spacious lobby. 👍

Loved my stay here. Facilities are kept clean. AC didn’t get me sick or have me coughing up nasty colored phlegm. Bed was spacious comfortable. Inexpensive room for what you’re getting. Ten out of ten would recommend for any travelers going to Makati.

The staff are friendly and professional that made me feel welcome and comfortable. The room was immaculately clean and equipped with modern amenities that made for an incredibly luxurious experience. I would certainly recommend it to others looking for the perfect place to stay

For a budget hostel, this place is commendable. Perfect for backpackers, small families or barkadas who want to take on the Poblacion experience. Upside: the hotel is clean and still new. We love its overall industrial design and the touch of Philippine pride. Being at the heart of Makati Ave, it's near really good restaurants and bars. The rooms are tiny but they're perfect. They have a lounge at the 2nd floor with arcade games, a small store for toiletries, a restaurant/bar, foosball and pool tables. We got to play Uno and Jenga while a live acoustic singer plays in the background. They also have a rooftop bar with a great city view. Downside: While the room rates are very affordable, the restaurant menu is a bit overpriced for its portion sizes. Although given the amenities and the experience, we get why you pay a premium. Do we recommend this place? Yes! Are we going back? Definitely.

Lub-D Makati was an exceptional find for us! Unlike typical hostels, it offered a unique and enjoyable vibe that made my stay truly memorable. The rooms were top-notch, providing a comfortable and cozy space. What truly stood out was the fantastic opportunity to connect and socialize with fellow travelers. It felt more like a community of adventure seekers coming together to have a blast. The fun and lively atmosphere here is unbeatable. If you're looking for a place where you can not only rest but also make unforgettable memories and friendships, Lub-D Makati is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a different and more vibrant hostel experience! ⭐️

Lub D has really nice staffers - the Filipino hospitality shines through at this hostel. I stayed in dorms and each bed offers a nice outlet and light; all air conditioned as well. My main concern is the shared bathroom: the shower stalls are always flooded, there were moments that I felt grossed out and had to wait until the water drained completely. Good location for a good price!

  • 4/5 Matt D. 7 months ago on Google
Good, central location -- near bars, the business district, and the airport. Rooms are clean and pretty spacious. They offer both hostel-type rooms and the standard room layout. They also have a floor with a game arcade. No pools, but they do have a restaurant.

I thought my 6 day stay here would have been a lot better but alas it wasn’t. Although the security guy is very friendly that’s about it . The rooms are quite clean and cozy but they don’t change the blankets . They just fold it and keep it looking neat and tidy for the next person which in fact is not neat or tidy at all . There is also a major major problem that i faced here was when i used the bathroom and after coming out i saw that the colour of my clothes have faded and worn off and according to my knowledge they use Liquid Bleach across their bathrooms and toilets and when wash it off with water or anything and just leave it to dry on its own . I have already informed them about this and it has already been 2 days without a proper response from their manager / management. Whenever the ask them they say that they are investigating and will look into the CCTV footage. If they really wanted to do it and accept their mistake it wouldn’t take more than 20 minutes to confirm that it’s their fault . But yeah they are still investigating. The same thing happened the next day when I noticed one of my jogger pants have lost its colour . I approached the front reception again and told them about this but to them it was nothing. No apologies or anything. Actually they were amazed to hear my problem and just care enough to say anything after that and just told me to talk to the housekeeping manager who was also clueless. So in a matter of 2 days 3 of my expensive clothes have beeen ruined and no one to blame or answer. Probably the worst service i have received after visiting so many countries and having stayed at countless accommodations . The only good service and genuineness i got was from the Security Guard in the Main Entrance. Just avoid this place at all costs . There are far better alternatives down the street. 👎👎👎👎👎

You feel welcome the moment you step in. A nice up class backpacker place with something for everyone. A pool table, PlayStation, chill hangout places, bar and restaurant. The rooms were very nice and I liked the bed especially. Will definitely come back next time I go to Manila.

Stayed here a couple of times during my trip to Philippines and it is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. The shared dorm rooms have ample amounts of privacy and are quite modern. Plenty of social spaces (chill out room with TV, rooftop bar and restaurant, pool table etc) to meet fellow hostel stayers and it’s really great for digital nomads as there is co-working space with desks and plug points available. Food at the restaurant was really delicious, portions are big but it is on the pricier side. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very affordable rate per night and 3-4 minute walk to the main poblacion strip.

  • 4/5 Atakan O. 4 months ago on Google
A great choice for short-term travelers or those exploring nearby places. While the hotel offers good WiFi and a co-working space, it's worth noting that there are no desks in the private rooms – a significant drawback for digital nomads like myself. Something to consider before booking! Other than that, everything else was quite satisfactory.

Had a wonderful stay here. Stayed in a deluxe king room. Room was clean and nicely decorated. There was a fridge and safe for your valuables provided in the room. Free water dispenser in hallway. Close to many local restaurants and nightlife all within walking distance. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Security guards were all very helpful at flagging down taxis if needed and helping with loading and unloading bags.

If you're about to go on a Poblacion Food Trip, this is a good place to stay. They also offer food and has their own restaurant in the 13th floor. They also has a game room, a movie room and a place if you need to work by yourself or even as a team. The only downside to this is that the walls are somewhat thin? Because early in the morning we can hear shouting happy birthday from the other rooms/hallway? kinda disturbing if you're trying to get a good sleep

I was back and forth for 3 hours to book our stay. They took so long to replay and I have to call overseas for 4 times just to follow up. they will replay 40 mins to 1 hr. After 3 hours they told me I can not book our stay because there's no available room anymore. I just wished I did not waste my time waiting for nothing.

  • 2/5 Rad M. 2 years ago on Google
Room looks ok. Staff is accommodating and courteous. However, I really won’t recommend it as a quarantine hotel. There were many small cockroaches. Wifi is only 4mbps. Only 1 bath towel was provided which you will use for 5 days. Do not expect room cleaning. You will do your own cleaning and change of linens. No rags were given to clean the floor; just those unlabelled disinfectants and cleaning solutions. No rugs were provided in the bathroom to step on after taking a shower. The corners and edges of the bathroom tiles look disgusting. I scrubbed them and left them cleaner than when I found them. Lol. Guests are not allowed to accept or have food delivered in the hotel. It is a bummer because the food in this hotel leaves so much to be desired. Too salty. No fruits with the breakfast meal. No coffee or tea. Groceries are allowed to delivered. So if you will still book in this hotel for your quarantine, buy fruits and other uncooked snacks.

The only hotel I saw with a loft after browsing almost all the accredited hotels of BOQ. Accommodation is affordable in booking. com, as well as their airport transfer and full board meals but viands are simply common Filipino dishes. So I’m glad they have a restaurant that serves good food with a wide variety of choices. Room is clean and quite new, the only negative comment is the sheets are not totally clean. But still giving 5 stars for it compensates our overall stay. I would like to commend the hotel staff, from the guards to the frontdesk and those in the restaurant. Everyone is helpful, they always find ways right away. They have a solution the soonest you call them. Thank you.

The level of service here is exceptional. My thanks & a shout out to Nicole, Glenn, Josh, Florence, Patricia, Diana, Krezia, Ely, Marlon, and others too numerous to mention, especially the kitchen staff who cook & deliver great meals. A special shout out to Josephine, who assisted me with getting a plane ticket, so I could continue my travels, and with my appointment for my PCR test. The next time I come to Manila, my wife said that we are staying here, at the Lub D'Makati!!! They also an airport pick–up & drop–off service as well. The entire hotel staff goes above & beyond the call of duty, to take care of their guests. The staff is friendly, helpful, & supportive of each guest. Their prices for room service are reasonable, along with the price per room, & the airport service. It is a great deal for your wallet!!!

Takes forever to respond to email queries. I even need to directly call them at all times for them to respond to my emails Slippers, towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other small items which are normally included in a cheaper hotel are ALL not provided by them. This is an important matter that should've been discussed with a customer prior to booking Rooms aren't clean Grab food isn't allowed I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel if you opt to take it for a quarantine stay

Stayed here for 2 nights and will be back again for 3 next week. Room is OK, not sound proof so if there's a crying baby in the other room, you'll definitely hear it. Rooms are clean. Toilet and bathroom room is also clean. You would, however, request for a floor towel because they don't proactively leave one and with how the bathroom was setup, you would need one. Else it will be slippery when someone use the shower. No breakfast included. I love their lobby, it's a place where I could open my laptop and work a little.
