One of the oldest Church in Mandaluyong, situated in the traffic-prone busy streets of Boni Avenue, near Aglipay St. The entrance road is a little bumpy, and may easily crowded even weekdays. There is a grotto devotion area for Jesus Christ situated near the entrance/exit gate, where you can buy candles from the nearest vendor, and lit in the designated area of the grotto. Color candles at P4.00 each, has designated symbol of petition, provided in the peddlers. There is no problem with encashing money, since two ATMs, one is the BDO and PNB, available online. At the back of the Church is the crypt, consisting of columbaries used to store urns fron cremated remains of departed love ones.

Spacious church, has TV for streaming so everyone even at the back will be able to see and hear the priest. It has a huge parking lot, great for weddings. They close the doors when the Bride is about to enter. Beautiful church.

Its a 400 year old church. Aside from the history the putobungbong that they sell on the church grounds is the best ive ever had. A worthy stopover for foodies.

The very first thing that strikes you when you enter the main church is the wind. Because of the giant ceiling fans, the whole main church is very airy, which I find very comfortable (CAVEAT: I sweat a lot thus I always have a need for good air flow. For some though, the wind might be too much). In all the masses I've attended, the presiding priest (different each time of course) has always impressed. Very folksy in delivering their homilies but the message still always hits home. The church itself is recently renovated (more of a facelift) which makes for an ambience of old, but new. Parking is ample but can get iffy when several activities in the compound happen simultaneously. Overall, a pleasant experience.

I'm not a casino player so I can't review the playing experience here. What I could say is how extravagant the place is. The overall design is a masterpiece. It is art. Their service is very good, one their staff accompanied us all the way through our restaurant. They also have very good satination process. They are strict with the health protocol: prompting everyone to always properly wear their face shield. Would have given it 5/5 if I were a casino player or the if their famous giant fountain was open.

  • 5/5 Joshua J. 3 years ago on Google
I had a wonderful staycation! Everything was sanitized, from the main hall to your own sanitation kits, even when bathing by the pool, you would see routine disinfectants done by the staff. Only 2 pools are currently open, The Retreat Spa and the Coral Wing Pool, along with the spa, gym, buffet, and Casino. The Fountain and Cove pool is closed. Staff we're very nice and accomodating, except for the girl in the Retreat Spa, which was a bit rude. Overall, it was worth the money.

Really nice place to go to. Very spacious and lots of things to do. If you want to gamble this is a good place to do so. Very friendly staff too. All health protocols are observed. There are boutiques to shop and they have free membership that offers discounts to boutiques inside as well as on booking reservations and dining.

I'd normally give a place like this an instant 5 stars. Beautiful place, ambience; truly world class amenities. Our Valentine's day experience made me rethink all that. We booked 2 rooms for 2days and 2 nights. We arrived around 3pm as we waited quite long last time hoping that we're just on time but to our disappointment, we were told that the room isn't ready yet. Finally got our room at 6pm. Though they told us we can extend til 2pm on our check out date. Fine, thought it was a fair token, until I read the benefits being a supreme member that we can extend the check out till 2pm πŸ˜‘. This we can let go. But when we got in to the room and wanted to charge our phone, most of power outlet were not working, breathe in breathe out, ok maybe coffee will let us relax and change our, oh dear the water heater's cable is too short to plug in, I held it while I was boiling the water how great was that? I hope to have a better experience next time. Cheers!

The waiters and the chefs are very accommodating! Food and dishes are great! Services are very prompt and quick! Observes health protocols and reinforce it strictly. Parking is very much available. I can drop by several times in succeeding weeks. Don't forget that the venue for buffet requires a Health Declaration to clients. One can always have it prepared from the Okada web site. Lastly, no public transport around of the area.

Stull very impressive! Love how the hotel is decorated! Classy and whimsical. We've been here several times before Enjoyed our hot chocolate and empanada at The Lobby. Hot chocolate was creamy and delicious. The Ensemada is on the dry side. Can't complain about the service. Their Staff always provided us with excellent customer service.

We were here for my father's 40th day mass and the priest is very genuine, he delivered all the moving messages anyone can get closest to HIM in relation to my father's passing. The church is solemn too.

I love the place but a bit unhappy with their service. I requested for a Baptismal Certificate but they told me they don't have a record of it when in fact we got one last year. I had to show them the photocopy of what we've requested last year for them to be able to get the records. Don't know what happened why they couldn't find it the first time. But still thankful as i was able to get the Certificates.

I am a senior citizen and have been hearing the 5:30 a.m. Sunday mass at this church since churches had been opened to the public during this pandemic time. Today was extraordinarily a rainy Sunday and hence, I drove my car for the 5:30 a.m. mass - only to find out when I got there that the church has closed its parking space for church goers in favor of a monthly parking fee for private individuals and no amount of humble requests to the security guard for leeway to park on this rainy morning succeeded. In fact I offered to pay for my 1 hour parking. I drove home very disappointed and questioned my faith, especially the "greed" that the management of this church has - money over saving a soul.

  • 5/5 Gino A. 2 years ago on Google
Over the years, San Felipe Neri Parish has stood the test of time and even improved overtime. The relatively recent renovations, wall paintings and design, and modernization through online masses and digital TV screens have only served to reinforce the faith. As one of the most iconic Churches in Mandaluyong, this is a definite recommendation.

It's a Catholic parish church in Mandaluyong City. Not so old, not so new. It's well ventilated with big ceiling fans. Masses are everyday. If you want to hear Mass on Sundays, it is jam-packed just like any church in the Philippines.

I could make it 5 but from my observation the church may have been forgotten, I cant help but compare those times when Father Mon, Father Hanz, Father Chris and Father Herbert are making connections with the people and reaching out. I hope the 4PM childrens mass brings back the spirit and engagement.

Above everything, the Church should be compassionate. During the service for the deceased, we were chastised more than once. First, an adult wearing a hat was called out and not in a subtle way. Yes the priest shouted. The person called out may have felt humiliated and left. Second, during the mass itself, we were told that we were not responding. This was done during the homily. An assessment, or shall we say judgement was made that we do not go to church and that we only come here in times such as this. A metaphor about animals knowing what to do was said. As to what it was exactly, my ears have failed me. Third was during the communion. The priest went to a kid and asked him if he had his first communion and he said, 'KAININ MO. ' That was capitalized because the priest has shouted. Where is the understanding? Where is the compassion? Where is the message of peace? Whatever the priest has been going through, I wish him peace and enlightenment. Lest we forget that the values that Christ has imparted to us is inclusion and not power over others. I guess the people who left when chastised is not only a metaphor but an actual example of how us Christians alienate people who wants to be closer to redemption.

It's been a while since I visited San Felipe Neri Parish Church cuz we had to move to Antipolo a couple of years back. I noticed now that it's kinda overly decorated especially the dome, I prefer the simple, old/antique and elegant design before. It feels like a different church now.
