The customer service is not that accomodating since they are too busy and would usually not make eye contact with you. The place, on the other hand is cozy, it feels like home. There's an Al fresco dining option near the double parking space. The food tho, is superb! We had big serving of beef wonton Mami special and was barely able to finish it all. One special noodle can be shared by two people as the whole bowl is filled with noodles and toppings;they serve additional serving of soup as it could not all fit in the noodles bowl. Pair it with their siopao and it becomes an amazing comfort food. Prize for one special beef wonton mami is 280 pesos, siopao regular asado is 75. Since servings can be shared by two people then this is place is quite affordable.

One of the OG for Mami and siopao resto. They also serve combo meals with flavorful fried rice. Quite pricey yet serving was big. Authentic taste with retro vibe and ambiance. Fully aircondition resto with private room. Accommodating and friendly staff. Limited parking in front of place.

Very nostalgic during my college days before the pandemic. Good food, and service. But the limited parking area is a problem during 10 am onwards. I suggest you arrive early so you can have a spot for parking so that you can experience their food.

If you are craving for Chinese food, you "must" try this place. The servings are good for 1-2 people depending on the appetite. The prices of the food are reasonable. The foods are satisfying. Just be ready to wait in line during peak hours. You can just order then bring the food at home. This place needs renovation to improve the interior design. The parking is also challenging, only 8 cars can park at a time.

Generous serving not bad for the price. The soup I think is made of beef boiled for hours. Pares-like broth. If you're familiar w/ Cocoy's Pares it's close to that. I like it and will definitely comeback. Take note that they are open until 8pm only. All other posts about them being open until 10pm or 2am are not true. Even the owner is not aware of the FB pages created for them.

We saw a video about the place in YouTube. It's your typical Chinese Food Restaurant. The food is great. I really liked their noodles. It feels like it's freshly made. My father seems to have enjoyed it. The only negative I can say about the joint is the service is kinda slow and the actual place is small. I don't think it could hold a party of 10 or more. But I highly recommend for you to try. I will definitely comeback to this place soon.

Best beef mami in town! Will definitely be back. Parking is quite limited so it's better to come in earlier. The pork lechon is soft and succulent.

Good food still. The taste and quality haven't changed. Ling Nam met a competition for Beef and Beef Wonton Noodles at this resto. Parking is a challenge, but it's worth it if you have a craving for their food.

We tried Charlie Wanton for that familiar taste of comfort Chinese (but adapted to local taste) food! We were a big group so we were able to try a variety of food: 🍜 Beef Wanton Mami ₱330 (special) 🍜 Maki Mi ₱240 🐷 Asado Lechon ₱990 (1 kilo) 🍚 Machang ₱125 🥟 Siomai ₱115/3 pcs 🍜 Fried Canton ₱360 The guard’s really nice! If there’s no parking available, leave him your number and he’ll tell you to wait at the end of the street. Once a slot opens up he’ll call you so you can go back and park.

Generous serving of wantons in their noodle soup of the same name. Speaking of names, wanton is on the sign and they do it well. I'd order and extra plate on the side for good measure and eat it with their chili oil condiment. Chicken noodle and siumai (in the background) also hits the spot.

This is my usual go-to Chinese restaurant in Mandaluyong. Their Beef Wanton Noodles always deliver. They serve an additional bowl of soup (and you can always ask for more) so you can properly dip your noodles. The special portion can serve two if you’re not much of an eater. I prefer putting soy sauce, asado sauce, and chili sauce to the soup to elevate the taste but it already tastes good on its own. They may have changed the recipe for their asado siopao. I don’t recall it being dry when I ordered it before.

Wonton ball is huge and tasty. Beef is very tender. And they give generous serving of their hand-pulled noodles and soup base. Siopao asado is equally tasty. Legit sa sarap!

I just discovered this typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese Restaurant last week and it never left my head since then. We ordered the Charlie Rice, Beef Wanton Noodles, Chicken Supreme, Beef Noodles, and some Bola Bola Siopao (they didn't have Asado when we went). The noodles were the bomb. I got used to noodles that run out after 5-6 scoops but these noodles were so worth the money and the hype. 4 stars because the space can be improved and more tables can be added, as well as the fact that Chicken Supreme Noodles can get oily due to the chicken and broth. The place can get crowded during busy meal times. I will definitely go back to Charlie's because of the noodles. They're worthy of Charlie's fame because of the quantity and quality of Chinese food.

Have been a regular visitor of Charlies for years and thoroughly enjoyed all their meals. It's our family's go-to if we want delicious and authentic Chinese food. However, this last visit, we felt a bit disappointed as we noticed some changes in the quality of their food. The soup of their Beef Wanton mami was too sweet for our liking. The asado and bola-bola siopao we brought home wasn't as good as we remembered. The limited parking was still the same, we waited for a space to open thinking that the food was worth it, but it was no longer the Charlie we once knew. It was also understaffed but we commend the waiters and servers for doing their best.

One of the best noodle and Chinese food spot in the metro! Just expect for challenges for parking your car. Also, you might fund your self in a line but it will be worth it!

Classic hole-in-the-wall chinese cuisine restaurant. The menu has a lot to offer. Favorite dish: Beef Wonton Special Noodle soup Expert tip: Add chilli to the soup to enhance the flavor to a new level. They don't have GCash facilities but they accept credit/debit cards. Homey and cozy space. Air Conditioning is just the right amount of comfortable. The street isn't traffic heavy making the place a nice, relaxing, and quiet place to dine in.

Good, old fashioned Chinese Carinderia flavor. Their Beef Mami is very good. There's table service but it's more like self service.

Charlie’s wanton restaurant is our fave!!! Their beef noodle soup and asado siopao (pork bun) are simple fare that are excellent in flavor and quality. Of course, the noodles are part of the experience and they are cooked fresh, with a firmness that's not quite al dente but not mushy either. If you are near any of their (too few!) locations, it's a must-try.

Service here was not that great however due to customers keeps coming in for dine. Food was really great especially their beef and wanton special and Siopao Bola bola special. Definitely recommend and come here early or off peak hours.

The food here taste like garbage. For P300 beef wonton mami it's not worth it. The wonton meat taste like cardboard paper soaked in sweat socks. I literally had to spit out the food. It taste horrible. The siomai is full of fat and flour. The siopao meat is devoid of flavor. It's literally the same meat they have in the siomai stuffed in siopao.

Visited the place on a lunch time, thus, the resto was packed with customers, so, you have to fall in line. Parking was challenge but the guard will assist you. The place is small but the air conditioning is good. Tried the following: -Beef Wanton Mami Special (9/10) -good for 2 -Asado Siopao (8/10) -Bola bola Siopao Special (7/10) -good for 2 -Almond Gulaman (6/10)

This is a hidden gem a few blocks away from Jose Rizal University. The place is unpretentious, and serve authentic Cantonese dishes. You must try their Siomai, packed with meat, perfectly paired with their roasted chili garlic. I'd also recommend their Beef Wonton Mami, the stock is thick and flavorful. This place can be busy at dinner so better visit around 6pm. Will definitely go back.

Parking is limited so better come there early or just get lucky when you go there. Food is delicious and serving is plenty around 2 to 4 persons. I suggest when you eat there get your bill the soonest because sometimes it takes time for it to be given to you.

Parking is hard. Either leave it to chance, cause a traffic by waiting or park in nearby hypermart. Due to the hype, there are a lot of people eating here. The Special variant of Mami has generous servings, probably enough for two. I really like the beef wanton. Unfortunately, I didn't like the BolaBola special siopao, siomai.

  • 3/5 Fx Ting (. 4 months ago on Google
The noodle is still good. Prices keep going up but seems to be getting stingy on the beef. The regular bowl is kiddie size. And special is the best normal size bowl.

The extra beef broth was piping hot and quite good. The noodles, the wanton and beef are ok. Their large portion isn't really large Not at par with some of the lesser known noodle places.

One of the best noodle restaurant around the metro. Offers variety to choose from. Will recommend beef wanton noodles with siopao bola bola on the side. Highly recommended.

If you find yourself in San Juan-Manda area, you should visit here for THE best wanton noodle soup AND lumpiang shanghai. At the price point and flavor, I still go back to Charlie's. As of date nothing still compares...even those in Binondo (fite me 😂)

want some noodles? how about a fill-your-mouth siomai? priced reasonably and tastes oh so good! another nostalgic noodle house. i ordered the wanton shrimp and beef noodle, the soup is thick and so tasty. a definite order-again-next-time

Food is good but service is TERRIBLE. 10yrs to bus out a table, 10yrs for someone to get your order. If you want to eat here, bring your patience and be prepared to WAIT.

  • 4/5 Rommel U. 1 year ago on Google
Simply the best beef Mami in town, their siopao is also good bun sadly they always run out if siomai. Their service is not that good it take sometime for them to assist you and cash basis only. Its 2023 na mag accept na kau ng other mode of payments, people are using electronic payment transactions nowadays.

Classic place if you want oriental food. Servings are plenty thought service time could be longer due to takeout and delivery orders.

  • 5/5 Ana G. 1 year ago on Google
Cheap eats. Servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. They should put "push signage" on the door when you are coming from the inside because it gives a loud screeching sound when customers "pull" the door. Also, they need to re-arrange the seats because there are customers who sit like a gambling lord and don't want to move. It's good that they accept card payments. We hope they start accepting Gcash as well.

  • 5/5 Rafael R. 1 year ago on Google
The bestseller is beef and wanton mami. The beef is tender and the wanton has a smoky flavor. There is parking space in front for around 8 vehicles but expect the place to be packed during lunch and merienda. The place can use a bit more cleaning but it's what you would expect from a no frills quick service Chinese restaurant and may add to the charm if you're not too concerned about some soup splashed on the table. 2 orders of beef mami and 1 order of siopao, good for 2 hungry people will set you back around P600.

  • 4/5 Joon P. D. 2 years ago on Google
Beef mami is my favorite here. It's a lot more expensive now at around 240 per order.

  • 2/5 Danilo F. 2 years ago on Google
It used to be a good mami house during the 90s we really enjoyed dining here. But lately, I was disappointed for the bland taste. Maybe it's only me but my siblings also complained so I guess the quality isn't there any more. Sorry guys!
