👍 So I have reached the haven of the hopia pilgrimage in the Philippines! Everyone who knows how hopia should taste claim that this is where the best tasting delicacy is made. And I can say that the claims are solid and true! The hopia mongo was freshly made (still hot!) and was very creamy and wrapp... People often mention hopia,

So I have reached the haven of the hopia pilgrimage in the Philippines! Everyone who knows how hopia should taste claim that this is where the best tasting delicacy is made. And I can say that the claims are solid and true! The hopia mongo was freshly made (still hot!) and was very creamy and wrapped in delicate pastry. The hopia with salted egg is another story! Don’t think that this is something like the traditional mooncake because it is not. And to authenticate the existence of these delicious treats, they come wrapped in thin paper, the way hopia is traditionally wrapped. I will not mind trudging the busy, hot and bustling streets of Palanca in Quiapo just to get these goodies!

This hopia factory has been operating for a while. When I was still young, I remember me and mama frequent this classic store to buy warm and delicious monggo hopia. Whenever you drop by Sta. Cruz or Quiapo, visit this shop to delight yourself and loved ones with their classic hopia.

Good-tasting assortment of "hopia" from one of the oldest existing hopia factories.

A Blast from the Past Scene was twenty two years after it's kick-off in 1927. Captured by Kodachrome in 1949 a few years after the liberation of Manila. Hopya' like it!

Good hopia place but not the best. Come here for history and just a taste, but if you're looking for the best tasting? There are plenty in binondo area.

Brought home the hopia. Toasted it and it was excellent. Tastes really good.

My favorite hopia place. I prefer the hopia here than the other more popular brands.

My family loves this place. I like the Ube hopia the best. They sell other Filipino tears, but hopia is their specialty.

There's an assortment of hopias to choose from but beware cause it's over rated. We tried the baboy and panda flavors and we felt like eating gulaman or paste. The monggo flavor is just fine. We are so disappointed still.

I have great respect for food businesses that stayed for decades. This is an old-fashioned pugon baked hopia since 1927! I like that it is served hot, good bite size, and lots of varieties. What i think that makes it different is it being pugon baked; it’s nicely toasted. The dough is thin, and “hindi nakakaumay”.

Their hopia (moggo dice, pork, monggo, special, etc) used to be juicy, soft and very tasty. Now its dry and hard like quality downgraded a lot from used to be 5 stars for us now its 2 stars. Staff is more now that during 2021-2022 where only 2 people in the counter usually. Atmosphere same old shop as many years obviously but you come to buy and take out as there is no dine-in here ofcourse.

👍👍 The food is super good. The problem is there is no parking space for the customer and the tables are limited, so you have to wait on que for others to finish. But still one of the affordable place to visit. Better if take out.
