We rushed our 1 yr and 7 months old baby to the hospital's ER in a wee hour. The Pedia Doctor said that she needs to be confined. she was given IV meds however there has been a mis management. My baby's antibiotics was supposed to be given every 8 hours then they changed it to an hour earlier without informing me. I asked them the reason behind it and they said that they have to match it on the patient's waking hours. Well, my daughter's medicine is given through IV so her waking hour is not of importance. I soon found out that they matched it within their Nurses' shift. I kept my mouth closed but requested from my daughter's Pedia to change her IV meds to oral meds. And we did. I still monitored the hours. 5 am, a Nurse entered our room to prepare the medicine. Since My daughter is awake at that time and the Pedia had changed the antibiotics (we are to be discharged the next day), I told to the nurse to give her the required dose coz I wil be putting her to sleep afterwards. The nurse insisted it at 6 am, I reminded her that there is no specific time frame on when the medicine should be given coz we are about to start a brand new meds on a brand new dosage, cut the story short, it was given at 5 AM. This is the HORRIBLE PART! at 8:30 AM, another nurse went in (change of shift) and she brought 2 medicine bottles. One was the antibiotic that was given at 5AM and Pred10 (Pred10 to be given twice daily and the antibiotic is every 8 hrs). I still kept my mouth shut. After giving Pred10, she asked me, "Maam, nabigyan na po ba siya ng antibiotic?" I said, "Bakit mo ako tinatanong miss? I don't care if it was signed or not, I dont know what your procedures are! The point here is you have an intention to give another dose! I demanded for a Chief Nurse and told her everything, she was even shocked that the previous nurse did not sign the paper that she had already administered the medicine. It was a NEAR MISS MEDICATION and is a grave offense for a nurse!!!! Their Nurses are very incompetent! We even had requested a nurse to check my daughter's IV if it's still "in or out" she insisted that it's still in, coz we were so adamant in checking it,she promised to get back to us. After 30 mins she never came back and we saw her TEXTING!! Good thing, I've got my brother with me who happened to be a nurse as well. He checked the IV and he was mad when he saw it, I didn't know why coz I'm not on the medical field. We called the Nurse's attention and showed her the IV tubes, there were lots of "solid" blood. She then said, wait sir kukuha ako ng syringe ifflush ko. My brother told me, Miss hindi ito pinaflush and he just let the NSS drip (I'm not sure what was it). We filed a complaint to their HRD coz those acts were truly unacceptable. What if nasa ward kami? what kind of patient care kaya ang mararanasan namin?? Kawawa naman ang ibang patient na wlang kaalam alam and they solely rely sa nurses nyo! I would NEVER EVER recommend MANILA EAST MEDICAL CENTER to ANYONE! Their nurses are irresponsible!!!

They belittle the patient if you don’t look rich! We want to admit our dad because of high fever and not eating for 3 days, they said they need HMO card before they will accept my dad in their hospital! My mother insisted that we are willing to pay even without HMO card but they still did not accept my dad who’s so weak to move! My sister is a medtech from Australia and she had some friends in medical industry that recommended to admit out dad in a hospital, but this hospital has no concern to the patient if you look poor or really poor No star, and please don’t recommend this disgusting hospital to anyone

This place has the worst gynecology services. They are not upfront with the cost of their services. The gynecologist that I went to charged me 800 pesos for consultation, then gave me a pap smear (without telling me how much it would cost, and without explaining to me what a pap smear is and what she was about to do to my body). I had to pay 2800 pesos. I did not have this money on hand, but thankfully I had some in my gcash. I did not even get the results because the gynecologist said I have to pick them up 1 week later, and pay another 800 pesos. She was VERY RUDE to me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My dad was rushed to ER (fatal heart attack) on Oct 28. I’m thankful with the attending physician and ER staff because they were able to do their best to save my dad. BUT that’s where the good story ends. After that everything was a nightmare. 1. He must be admitted to ICU. But we have to settle ER expenses first. It was a Sunday and we don’t have enough money. Took time before they allowed us! 2. There are only 2 nurses per shift in the ICU. That’s why they can’t attend immediately on the patients’ needs. 3. Hospital rate can cause heart attack on the family!!!! 50k+++ a day!!! 4. No equipment. My dad did not even had 2D echo which is very important esp for heart attack patients. 5. Patient’s relatives are not updated. Isang tanong isang sagot!!! We decided to transfer my dad to Philippine Heart Center. We realized that MEMC is not doing anything to address his main problem. Yes they have managed my dad’s pulmonary problem but they don’t even give us points on what to do with his heart. We don’t even have an idea on the condition of his heart. Then the nightmare continues.... 6. They don’t have an equipped ambulance to transfer patient’s with conditions like my dad. We need to acquire services of private ambulance since the PHC ambulance are all on hold until November 3 (on call because of Undas). 7. During payment they did not deduct the Phil Health!!!! They said that it will be deducted on our final bill at PHC since it is a transfer case!!!! I know that they just doesn’t want the burden to collect from PhilHealth. They wanted COLD CASH! 8. During the transfer, no one as in NOBODY assisted Lifeline. After transfer on bed we were on our own to the ambulance!!!!! 9. When we were at PHC, the Doctor needed to talk to MEMC because they didn’t give any list of medicines administered. OH MY GOODNESS β€”β€” it took us more than 30 mins to contact MEMC. No one was answering the call!!! My list can go on and on. But the saddest part β€”β€” patients and relatives cannot do anything esp while you are still there. You have to bear with them and be patient. Control your temper. Because of the fear that they might not take care of your loved one. They have a poster saying β€œplease treat our staff with care and dignity” β€”β€” WAIT!!! ISNT THAT YOUR JOB????!!!!! To treat your patients and their relatives who are in so much pain, with CARE AND DIGNITY?!!! At PHC he had an emergency angiogram and they saw many narrowing. The most fatal was a big artery on the left which had 95-99% narrowing!!!!! They immediately did angioplasty. God’s grace after 15mins it was done. And is now recovering. Thank you PHC and thank you Dr Arnel Arenas. PLUS NO MONEY ASKED!!!!

If you really care for your loved ones do not bring them to this hospital. They will delay you and make you stay long and charge you for it. They will also not give you proper diagnosis.

This hospital is terrible. Poor service and response! Monday, my son and daughter had a fever. It's distressing that they made us wait outside the hospital for 5 hours on monoblock chairs without giving my kids any medication. I have to follow up to get their attention on my kids.Β I don't evenΒ want to go back to the hospital butΒ there are testsΒ that can only be done thereΒ so I returned the next day because of my son's repeatingΒ seizures. Again, my son and IΒ Β waited for 7 hours for assistance and updates on my son's admission. After waiting hours, they said they couldn't accomodateΒ my son!!Β So frustrating!! We just transferred to another hospital, Marikina Valley, where they assisted us immediately!!

The hospital confinement is so costly but they cannot keep up to their services. Very poor, inefficient services, staff and nurses. Staying there is even stressful and will make you more sick, you can’t relax. Nurses are not keen with the meds they’re administering to their patients. Lack of skillful nurses and staff.

Your hotline is unreachable. Trying to contact other department hotline posted on your website and all are not eager to provide help or assistance. I can't wait for the new provincial hospital in Taytay to be build. I hope other hospitals in Cainta are way approachable than this one πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

Security guards at night are rude, and looks mad that there is another patient coming in and doesnt know how to communicate properly. Came to this hospital's ER multiple times due to sickness of mine or my partner but they rarely accept you for even a checkup, and refer u somewhere else, dont bother going to the ER here. The nurse during day time at the ER is very rude as well, instead of showing empathy or care to people seeking for help for their sickness, they act as if patients are just a burden to them and extra work.

One of the worse hospitals in the Philippines. Services is beyod poor and the staff are not cooperative at all. I wonder what their management is doing despite of so many complaints and negative comments by their clients. A private hospital that is even worse than public hospital. Very disgusting.

Very poor service. From the reception in OPD, palpak. We are looking for a family medicine doctor, we are referred to an internist. We try to wait for the internist doctor. While waiting, we decided to have lab exam CBC & Platelet count. Since we dont have a request from a doctor, we ask from the ER and that's OK although from other hospital, right there from the lab they can give you request since we are asking for CBC platelet only. After we paid the amount, the receptionist of the laboratory told us to wait and we will be called. After more than 15minutes, we are still waiting. I ask the lab technician and they told us they still dont have the request. They even ask us if we were able to pay and gave the receipt back to the lab receptionist. And right there and then, we were told that the results will be available after 4 hours. Wow, first time to encounter that CBC platelet result will be available after 4 hours. This is not the only time we will be having such lab. At most is 1hour for the results to be available. The technician told us that if we want the results to be available at least 1 hour, we have to pay extra charge P67.00. Wow, very different hospital rules. So we decided to pay the extra charge. Then, we ask if we could have also urinalysis. Another payment of course since that is different lab exam. While doing the request, again, this lab receptionist never had the time to tell us that results will be 4hours again. She didnt include another extra charge for the UA to have that "stat" thing. All in all, I waited in line 6x for that lab receptionist and 3x for the cashier. What a waist of time. Very poor service.

Good day! This letter is just to let you know how disappointed I am for such inconsiderate act of Dra. Beverly Orlina's secretary. I've been her patient for quite some time now, had several procedures with her for the last couple of years. I am doing every effort to go to Taytay for check up and everything though there's a lot of Maxicare accredited doctors near my place, Philcoa QC. I trusted her that's why I never think of going to other OB though it took a lot of time for me to travel from QC to Taytay. But this day I realized that no matter how you patronize a certain institution like your hospital, you can be declined or rejected without any consideration. I went to Manila East 24 Jan 2019 for check up, Dra. Orlina and Dr. Marco Castillo. My number was called by one of your industrial staff at 1:58pm so I immediately asked her if I can still see Dra. Orlina for my pap smear result. The lady asked me to go and asked Dra. Orlina's secretary. It was exactly 2pm and her schedule is up until 2pm but her secretary told me that she has an appoinment and can't accept me anymore. I was so hurt because up until 2:38pm I can still see those med reps coming in and out of her room. Her secretary could've done some effort, she could've asked Dra. Orlina first before saying NO to me.. Because of what happened I decided to look for another OB. Dra. Orlina is one of the nicest doctor that I've ever known but she should also get a secretary who has a heart and who can think outside the box. Thank you.

The hospital that will surely kill you, either treatment wise or money wise. Parking is hard and tight. Only the rich and not severe patients should go here. If the patient's life is 50/50, they can make it 10/90.

I had an Ear infection that time, so i needed to see an EENT doctor. The process was quick and easy. They let me go through the HMO queue then after being approved, I go straight to the Doctor. The doctor who checked me up was Dr. Miguel Dualan. (BEST DOCTOR I'VE EVER MET). He was amazing, I'll definitely recommend him to all of my friends and I'll never change doctor for my EENT concerns ever again. He know exactly what he was doing and he figured out right away my problem was. Parking fee was only 10Php and all of the employee was very accommodating. Thank you for lessen the burden that i was going thru that day. I WAS REALLY IN PAIN.

This hospital is more expensive than Makati Med. It is a lazy choice for emergencies. Please do not consider this hospital if you are only looking for something nearby, not even for emergencies. It is a very expensive lesson to learn believe me. I would not even bring my worst enemy to this hospital.

Terrible service, staff don't seem to communicate with each other. Im not sure if there's proper endorsement from one attendant to the other. Just wanting a particular specialist to check on my dad's bloodwork we have to go back qnd forth 4 times and its either the doctor is not available or it cancelled clinic at some point just to find out that the doctor is really there and were just given a wrong information at the front desk.

I have read the reviews for MEMC and would like to offer my input as a foreigner and as a nurse with 40 years experience, and have done humanitarian work throughout the world. I am the mission nurse for missionaries serving with our church in this area. I have been to the ER at MEMC on 4 different occasions in the last 3 weeks. On three of the occasions our missionaries were admitted (young men between age 18-20). All who were admitted were diagnosed with Dengue. First the negatives-No toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms, perhaps that is a cultural thing but it was pretty challenging. I did notice there was hand sanitizer on the nurse's carts. Also no gloves-again maybe they don't have them here. Efforts were made to keep the facility clean. I you are expecting a brand new facility this is not it. However it is far better than many facilities I have been in, including in the area of Antipolo. Admission was slow. With one missionary it took 5 hours to get him a room after the doctor decided to admit him. Perhaps part of that was trying to get approval from our HMO insurance. Now for the positives-we were treated very respectfully at all times while at the hospital. At no point while in the ER did anyone ask for money before treating. In fact I had to point out to the staff that we had an insurance card. This was several hours after they had started treatment. Staff worked quickly to make our missionaries comfortable and initiate treatment-IVs, blood work, and medicine for nausea. During one of our ER stays a woman arrived at the ER in full cardiac arrest. From everything I saw and heard the staff did EVERYTHING they possibly could to save her life. I was so impressed at their efforts to resuscitate her. As the patient was just a few feet away from where I was standing I knew much of what was taking place. My overall assessment of this hospital is that I would and have used them repeatedly in the last few weeks. It may not be as fancy as Medical City or St. Lukes, but it also doesn't require the commute to get there. I think the staff at MEMC make a valiant effort to give good care.

Told me Ultrasound is only at 11am. I came there at 10am finished at 3pm due to long line. They won't text you for your turn if you leave the area and called your name and you're not there, you're canceled. That 5hrs could be my lunch time and rest if they just atleast text before my turn. But you can't leave until your name is called. POOREST NO BRAIN SERVICE.

One of our members was admitted at the Emergency Room of this hospital on 29 May 2023 11am. With the need to rest while recuperating, loud talking, laughing , talking about their love lives were heard emanating from the nurse station and its very annoying. Maybe those people should just go out and talk aloud outside or at a park and not inside the ER!

If you will be using Philhealth in this hospital, you would rather go to other nearby hospitals (Taytay Doctors, Medical City). Forget about this hospital. The Philhealth office here will be asking ridiculous requirements not mandated by Philhealth. I was scheduled for a surgery but had to go to Taytay Doctors because of the irrational requests of the Philhealth/ billing office here. I am actually filing a case/complaint in Philhealth against this hospitals personnel.

On August 15, 2019 I rush to the Emergency at this hospital due to severe headache, and that particular doctor is just focusing on my headache and just giving me a lot of pain reliever and ibuprofen. Without examining me, not even questioning me to gather information what happened before I felt the headache. In short the Word does not improve. The weight of the head q after q drinks the ibufropen and the painrelievers injected sken.and still vomiting aq, He, that doctor just ask me how sick are you? 12345? 5 sickest. Same symptoms and symptoms kmi of husband q kc Hawa Hawa us in Bhay, at OPD xa have checked up and maybe it says husband q good doctor, 1st time we will check up here. bkt? (Translated by Google) all here long .... from the approval of the HMO (they'll tell you the HMO company for a long time, but I know the hospital is only 2 but fast) until you wait for a doctor. all the doctors here are late. for over 2 hours we have been watching. after consulting the pace, indifferent.

Complete packages and labs if you need one. I recommend this hospital better than the ones nearby because doctors here are professional and readily available.

Old rooms. They try to put everything even if the room is small and it becomes burden to occupants (phone location is hard to reach)

Nurses are slow and rude. We asked nicely for help to change my mom’s soiled beddings. We followed up every 15mins as the bacteria can spread fast and the patient can get infected. We waited for almost 3 hours before they changed the beddings. Also, all staff we spoke with are complaining that they are tired and understaffed. They pay no attention to patients’ needs and seem not to care at all.

I would not mention the name of the Gastro. Doctor that checked me. I have pain in my lower left stomach, sometimes it's mild & tolerable and there are times that the pain stays overnight. This pain start in 2017 upto now. I was confused when he request me an x-ray (chest) instead of ultrasound or colonoscopy to look better what cause me pain. I have no pain on my chest & my chest x-ray is normal. My money, time & effort wasted. I will not recommend this to anyone, for this is my second time, that they mistreated me in this Hospital. #feelingsad #feelingupset

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Had a Dr. Apt there waited and greeted rudely by security guards for 15min only to find out the Dr isn't there. Then given an address to go and track him down at another hospital. Avoid going here at all cost.

They are not accomodating HMO users. I called their line and someone pick-up the call, but as soon as I ask regarding doctor's availability they turned down my call immediately. This is a negative impression to me, why have and say that they accept HMO providers when they are not responding our call?

MEMC does not deserving even of a one star. I started at around 10am for a consultation, but it's already 3:44pm and I am still here....Still waiting for my name to be called on queue. I know that there are some priorities, but would have been better if there are multiple doctors available at the same time. Also, there's a parking fee of 50php for the first 2 hours, I wonder how much I need to pay now. First time to be here and would never ever wanted to be here again after this transaction. Worst experience. You are all wasting our time as if time is not valuable to us #MEMC

    - ER made me wait for 30 minutes - not enough space and seating area - after initial checks, waiting for 30-45 minutes for the next steps - tests or doctor to check the patient - lab tests takes 30 minutes intervals to take - have to prompt and check with nurses intermittently since no updates is known to the patient - bed sheets in the ER beds not change. A pedia bed was used by an adult for testings - too noisy by the staff - website anc doctor's directory needs updating - carpark is dirty in its surroundings - service for HMO approvals takes 30 to an hour of waiting - overall service is 2

Brought my mother in law due to high blood pressure and difficulty in breathing. Ended up waiting for 24 hours for the attending physician, we decided to transfer to a better hospital . Upon billing out they charged us with the physician's professional fee whom we didnt even talked to, not on the phone nor thru text.... money leechers

It is the only Hospital that you cannot enter the ER area, you have to wait outside to fall in line. The Security Guard there will raise the hand to stop you as if your buying in a grocery store.

In case you’re planning to bring your loved ones in this hospital for emergency situation, just DON’T! They don’t follow DOH protocols for covid testing! They’ll bill you first, ask to sign for covid swab test consent and when you paid & signed the consent they will not going to do the swab test because according to their BS reason, β€œit needs to be scheduled first!”. Worst, they will just admit you and put you on their covid floor (isolation room which is soooo expensive!!!) and after 3 days of waiting, guess what, they will still ask you is you wanted to schedule the swab testing?***d’ fudge right?!*** Here are my 2 cents if ever you’re trapped in their hospital: First, always check the billing statement that they will issue, then question all the meds and number of times that the patient took it to see if that matched on your bill. Second and most important, just transfer to somewhere else!!!!
