Jul 2023: First time here... I love the Limoncello cake, it's tangy and sweet just the way I like it! We also ordered their best seller, the Okinawa Coffee(iced) and the Dark Mocha(hot). The iced coffee is okay, it has a strong espresso base sweetened with a thick caramel sauce. The dark mocha Is a bold espresso coffee flavored with dark chocolate tablea. It has a very unique taste and twist to it. We will definitely go back to try their other coffee or tea alternatives. 😊 They say that first impressions last... Unfortunately, some of their rattan woven chairs are with holes (last photo). I hope they replace it soon because it leaves a negative impression and it's not nice to look at ☹️

I'm a big fan of Coffee Academics, and regularly visited their coffee shops in Hong Kong and Singapore. Was very happy to find they've opened a branch in Manila, and happy to report that the coffee and brunch dishes are just as great as they were in other countries! This location itself is conveniently situated in the heart of Legazpi Village on Palanca Street, making it accessible by walking or biking if you live in Makati. They have great outdoor seating options on the patio for those who want to dine al fresco. I got the parmesan chicken with aglio olio pasta and an iced latte for lunch, and it hit the spot. The chicken was perfectly crispy with a bit of bite from the tomato sauce on the parmesan, and the pasta was done al dente. I also tried out my other friends' dishes. I enjoyed their local take on an eggs benedict, the eggs royale (poached egg on top of two bibingkas with tocino) - the bibingka was fluffy and freshly baked, and the tocino was tender and juicy. The Korean fried chicken with kimchi rice also had a similar super crispy texture but with a sweeter flavor profile. All in all a great brunch place with plenty of excellent food options and amazing coffee!

First time to try TCA. Very nice place, quiet, not that big but not cramped. I did not try their coffee, instead I tried the Yuzu Kombucha since it’s the only available cold drink (my first choice was the jasmine). Yuzu Kombucha did not disappoint though. We also tried their cakes which really taste good! They also have shaded outdoor seating. Payment modes: Cash, Debit/Credit Card, Gcash

Passed by here one weekday afternoon to have a mid day coffee. Tried one of their specialty drinks. It was quite delicious with perfect foam, froth, milk texture and flavor. I was quite pleased. The ambiance is also beautiful, relaxing and inviting. The price is on the steep side and seems to be the most expensive coffee in Manila now, if I am not mistaken. Service was also quite good. Great job

Great ambiance, drinks, and food. The place is packed before 9pm so expect a line. My favorite is the carrot cake! Not too sweet, with a fluffy cheesecake layer (kind of like a Japanese cheesecake). The rest room is clean and has a bidet. The staff is courteous and very accommodating. They issue an official receipt upon request. They are open from 7am to 12mn.

I finally tried coffee academics and it disappoint. It felt like it didn’t meet the standards as hongkong’s or even in thailand that i just tried before the lockdown. We wanted to do an outside seating but the staff said everything was reserved, even if no one arrived within the 20mins that we’re there. So we ended up doing takeout. Coffee was okay. Milky. Food was also okay, but the staff seems not to know how to explain when we asked about some of the food in the menu. We ended up getting something safe and didn’t explore about the unusuals. Pastries are the worst. We got 2, pain au chocolat and tapa puff. Both NOT recommended. Their pain au chocolat is more like a pandesal than a croissant. While the tapa puff’s sheets are TOO THICK! Super poor quality The pastry bag isn’t also grease-proof, you can see the grease coming out of the bag They also don’t have credit card payment option, so if you’re planning to visit them, make sure to bring cash! And their cashier doesn’t issue OR (official receipts) from their terminal. Maybe by request, but isn’t supposed to be OR for all customers?

Good location! Not so crowded compared with other coffee shops in the area. You’ll definitely have enough time to enjoy your food while having conversations with your friends. Though a bit pricey but the food is great!

The food was okay and the coffee menu is good. But when you experience bad customer service it totally ruins the whole experience. This will be our first and last visit to your coffee shop. If your market is the A and B crowd, please make sure that your waiters understand this as well. You may be a good global and recogizable brand, but when your service is this bad, we'll be heading to the next door coffee shop.

Love the vibe of this TCA and the perfect first branch in the Philippines. I love the interiors and even more the outdoor seating. Their coffee is great as expected and is at par with their overseas branches. The food was so-so but you're really there for their coffee.

Place was cozy with good service. Food was unique and tasty especially the KFC2.0 kimchi fried rice. Cofee was delicious and not too sweet. Definitely a must try! We ordered Nori Nachos and Hummus (php350), steak rice (php795), haciendero chicken - served with quinoa (php395), KFC 2.0 & kimchi fried rice (php445), iced okinawa (php220), and hot agave (php210). They have service charge of 12%.

As a coffee lover. You must reach to this cafe. Love to order their Okinawa, and used to order 2 cups of coffees, another cup is Gula Jawa. You can try out their Matcha latte and Dirty Mocha, great taste as well. And JWF blend which I love’s it’s taste, but not every country having this blend. Big fans of The Coffee Academïcs even foods are delicious. Their fried rice and big breakfast. Big portion size.

if you join here at a nice weather sunday morning, order a coffee then sitting next to the street, watching the dogs birds and maybe people around you, it will perfectly fit. by the way, i was just too focused on the around, and forgot what's the flavor of the coffee already. but they are good, otherwise i won't have the mood to watch the dogs. just one thing no so good there are flies flying around table if you sit outside and so hard to ask them fly away.

Good for hanging out with friends to do some catching up but not for those looking for a place to work or study. I highly enjoyed the Gula Jawa drink (in the pic) but my friend said that the Okinawa drink has better caffeine kick. Also, I had to exchange my drink with our other friend who ordered the Manuka one bc she didn’t like it. Actually, among us 5, I am the only one who loved the Manuka drink hehehe.

Had brunch with friends here one Sunday after church. Got the KFC (korean fried chicken) with kimchi rice. Flavorful and filling (probably too filling for brunch but still definitely good). The coffee was good, too (I think I got the flat white, I can’t remember). One of my friends got an appetizer with hummus and fried nori. The hummus was good and the fried nori was probably unnecessary. I’d have preferred some pita or toasted bread. We also got a piece of chocolate cake which was nice, I liked it. Overall, good place and food. Would go back to try their other stuff.

Really enjoyed their ginger peach green tea that came in a cool plunger and classy, light-weight, double-walled glass! This was a nice match to the chocolate almond slice. Their kombucha is nicely refreshing too! These treats were reasonably priced, too! Happy we checked out this place. Wouldn’t mind coming back to try their coffees. 😊☕️❤️

Ill rate it 3 only for now.. 4 for the coffee 3 for the food and someone was seated at the place where I made reservation 2 for saying that “pancake was too hot that the butter melted” maybe there is a better way of serving? Like put it on the side, instead of saying it melted

Limited coffee options, ambiance was okay. Saks lang overall. We got the green tea with salabat and iced choco something. The green tea was okay but the iced choco drink wasn't that good.

A comfortable place to drink coffee alone or with friends, my suggestion is to try the Java Latte and Sweet Potato Cheese.

Ordered their bestselling hot tea and I was so amazed with the tea container (see video). I liked the hint of mixed berries in the tea but I was even more impressed that they actually used the correct temperature of hot water for tea (not boiling!!!). My companion ordered iced Okinawa coffee and he also loved it -- not too sweet, has a bitter punch he likes in coffee. Got the chocolate cake and it was really good. Perfect pair for tea and coffee.

Nice ambiance. Perfect for catch up! May indoor and outdoor sila. Crews are accommodating and they have sockets and WiFi. Plus mejo pricey and food pero SULIT!

I like the Okinawa hot coffee. I wanted to like the steak but, while the flavors are pretty good, the steak has cold part and relatively warm part. Furthermore, I was wondering if the rice is by "design" hard on the center. I asked their crew and he told me it's white rice that's fried and "hindi dapat" as I described. You can vary the steak flavor by adding the gravy.

We always go here to have our brunch and it's been our tradition to eat here every Sunday. The staffs already know our coffee order and food lol. ❤️ Coffee and food is really good. I highly recommended Yirgachefe and Kenya For coffee lovers.

Excellent service, GREAT food and ambiance! Normally, we go in Cafes for coffee but here you'll definitely go back not just for the coffee but for their food! One of the best cafes in Makati!!! Kudos to Allan as well, 10/10 service and very friendly since day 1!!!

It's great but it is too crowded...I guess it's because they are newly opened. You can see staff are super busy and the kitchen has many orders to serve. I wish they could have a better way to accommodate customers for a better quality. The noise and the chaos really need to be improved.

The coffee was great! I'm very disappointed that they still use vegetable oil. I expect them to use healthy ingredients like olive oil, sugar free, healthy alternative soy sauce and katsup...etc.
