    Very bad service by Alberto Gonzalez! Because of trafic jam problems, we delivered the car an hour to late back. The agent (Alberto Gonzalez) at the desk was very rude and start shouting directly to me. "These are not the rules, you need the bring the car back in time. This is gonna cost you money. You will gonna pay a day extra..." There where other clients in the office on that moment. The agent asked me very rude for the keys and said that he will send the invoice. To which I replied that I take responsibility for being late and that I pay this extra hour. He laughed this away and said "you will receive the invoice" Effectively 2 days later an amount for 2 days was taken from my account. I have sent an email to Avis customer service center on Monday 16 September and I'm still waiting for an answer.

    Where do I begin. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but Avis has disappointed me so much that I don't see another option. A friend of mine was trying to rent a car and faced a very rude employee at the desk at Valencia Airport. I will not go into details, but in the end my friend who had prepaid and prebooked the car online couldn't take it which had messed up his plans. The next day I went to take the car for him and already spoke to a different employee, who was polite. We returned the car a week later. Another week had passed and I see that my credit card had been charged. The amount is not substantial, however I didn't get any notice/warning/email/call/explanation -nothing. I didn't authorise any charges to be made to my card. How in the world do they have the right to do that? Very disappointed and will never use this company again.

    Worst experience ever with this Avis office. They didn’t follow their own return protocol, then charged me outrageous costs to which I never agreed. They didn’t communicate despite their initial promises when I complained. I had to get my bank involved to reverse their outrageous charges. Never again ! Please rent a car from one of the other companies adjacent if you want a good experience.

    We booked the rental car in advance through ADAC. The car was great, no problems with service. Very nice employees. Even my forgotten power bank appeared again. Thank you

    At car disposal even if you were on time and the employer tells you its all OK, ask for a signed paper with the check in time, otherwise it seems they can write down you were late and charge you for an additional day!! and then ask you to provide proof that you were on time.. lol. I have sent them an email a month ago and they havent replied back yet.

    Do NOT book with this rental car service!!! Scam! We returned the car without any accidents, even took photos - they still charged us 260 euros 6 weeks later for a supposed little scratch. They never sent me an email about this issue with a bill or justification , never responded to my phone calls nor my emails where I asked them why they charged me.

    Renting a car oftentimes isn't something pleasant. However, when you step in and Maria tells "Tiago, your car is getting ready" before any word from me - proves me that there's exceptions. Great work Maria, great work Avis València.

    Two weeks ago me and my pawl got scammed by Avis and this office did not wanted to help us. When getting a car from Allicante and bringing it back to Valencia we got charged 41 euro's more then discussed with the shopkeeper in Allicante. The only excuse was that it our own fault by sighning the 15 pages contract where he raised the price. I send them an direct email 2 weeks ago but no response at all. Also the Valencia office promised to get back to us but that also never happened!! I put the email in this review as well: Dear Juan/Guan/Jullian? You remember me(Dutch) and my Irish mate? We were the two guys walking in asking a price to rent a car. You did not have a small one but offered us a medium car for 119 euro's. We twice asked if there are any surcharges and you said two times no. 119 euros is the total price to rent the car including insurance. When I had to pay over 200 euros including deposit I asked why I had to pay that amount. You said there was a little over 80 euros as a deposit for the fuel. I agreed and gave my signature on the computer. Yesterday we brought back the car in Valencia and we were given a wrong price by you. Now we had to pay 160 euros instead of the 119 you promised us. We are shocked as we are on a budget and now have 40 euros less!! The hostel we stay at charges us 7 euros per night which cost us 6 days of accomodation which is a lot! I don't know if there something went wrong putting in the details to your system or just scammed us by lying to us. Your colleague in Valencia couldn't help us as we have sighned the document which you gave us information about. We trusted you and now we need to find a free place to stay at on our last days in Spain. Could you please check if you put it correctly in the system? And maybe make the price down to 119 as we agreed on? Would be great if you could check it and give a reply.     Not a great experience of Avis at Valencia airport ! Lots of unexplained charges meant it ended up being a very expensive experience. Also no inspection of car either on pickup and then on drop off. This lead to an accusation of damage after leaving the depot. Apparently there was damage to an alloy wheel which was hard to believe as the vehicle had plastic hub caps. Fortunately, I had taken the extra insurance cover so no extra charge. However, I did feel I was an unwitting party to some sort of fraudulent insurance claim. Overall very poor and would not use Avis again! Suggest one of the other airport hirers.

    Rent twice with Avis in Valencia Airport with all-risk insurance without excess. They didn't charge me anything extra or anything strange. The staff is very attentive, warm and helpful. Pablo and Yvonne are the ones who assisted me and were very fast and attentive, answering all my questions about the contract. His attention was a 10. Additionally, they are very honest people since I forgot my wallet in the car and they contacted me minutes later to let me know. When I went to pick it up, of course it was all there. The only thing to improve is that one of the cars had a bit of a cigarette smell, I didn't like that. Anyway, I would rent here again.

    Everything with Budget was excellent. But they should put a clear notice or better explain where to leave the car in central Barcelona. You have to guess it's in the SABA parking lot.

    Great experience! I read prior reviews and i was worried. There was no wait at 10am on a weekday. The car was ready, clean, and full of fuel. I had them mark one wheel rim that was scuffed. The staff were kind and polite. There were no surprises. We returned the car per the plan at Malaga airport with no issues. Well done Avis.

    Friendly but chaotic service, both for collection and return. Expect long waits. I was given a car with a fuel tank that was only 4/5 full according to the display, with a claim that the car did have a full tank but there was a problem with "bubbles in the sensor" which is why it only shows 4/5 full. Also told I must return the car with a full tank, otherwise I would be charged for the fuel plus a recharging fee. Of course, I could fill the tank completely and the display clearly showed the tank was full, so the claim about the faulty sensor was not true. Presumably, the person before me did not return the car with a full tank, they were charged by Avis, and then I end paying for the fuel that person used when I filled the tank to full on return - a nice little earner for the franchise if they do this multiple times. I explained this to the representative when I returned the car but he had no interest in resolving the issue or refunding me for the fuel I did not use, which means I now need to write a letter of complaint to Avis. Scams like this are so disappointing and seem to be a particular problem at car hire outlets at Spanish airports, even when they are part of a big firm like Avis. Question and check everything, photograph every part of the car on collection and return (including the fuel gauge and mileage), and keep receipts for your refuelling at drop off. There is a Repsol petrol station about 1km before the airport, accessed via the service road (Avinguda d'els Arcs) that runs to the right of the main road.

    Avoid if you have an evening flight and expect a mission if you have an issue. We had a booking and suffered from a flight delay (very common these days). As we arrived slightly after midnight we were told that there was an extra €48 charge to cover the employees wages for remaining for an extra hour. It's great that you pay your people so highly. The alternative we were given was to wait until they reopened.in the morning (around 5am). There has also been an error with the charges in general, due to misinformation. The customer service, contact us link on the website doesn't work and the only email address is for Avis in the USA, who have told me to email Avis in Spain or the UK, but again haven't shared how. A terrible experience. Making it difficult for customers to contact you is a great way of avoiding refunds. I tried to contact you before posting this review, but it seems impossible.

    Do yourself a favor and NEVER pick up at the train station in Valencia. It took 2 hours to get to the check in desk. The line was insane and only 2 people working. They added SO many undisclosed charges and charged us DOUBLE for the car without notify us. Truly the worst car pick up experience. Not to mention the “warranty” charge that forced upon us without explanation. When asked where this comes from they were unable to provide it. The number was so random and made absolutely no sense. When we dropped off in Malaga they informed us the “scammed” us. Dropping off in Malaga had zero signage and the parking garage is three floors below the check in/out desk with no signage on where to go. EDIT: messages them on social Media and no response. Worst customer service ever. Oh and charges are STILL pending.

    Booked on line and prepaid. Still had to wait in line for almost 2 hours to collect the car. Woefully managed and understaffed. No separate line for walk in versus Avis Preferred. Avoid if you can. Otherwise give yourself several hours to collect a car.

    I’ve used this location a couple of times now. The staff have been friendly and took the time to explain charges. Pick up and drop off have been very fast with no issues. The staff knows what they are doing. Keep up the great work! 🙂

    My husband booked a rental car online with Avis. We had a good experience with them. Pick up and drop off quickly handled by the gentle staff. Brand new car, clean and with few mileage. Very reasonable rates when renting for 3 days.

    Today, we went to get information at the Manises airport, since I had doubts about which van to rent. There were two boys and a girl, without clients, it was just right for them to say hello, and when I asked she told me: everything on the web. And I answer, okay, but I have doubts, can you help me, and the expression on their faces was that they didn't feel like it. I tell him the van that I was interested in and he tells me, I have all of those rented, I answer that there is one at the door, he tells me that that one is not his, I tell them that it is in his parking lot, they look and he responds oh, yes! ! I had not noticed .... Anyway, do we want to work or what? There are people who need work and more prepared!!! It doesn't cost much to take good care of you. That's what the boss pays you for...
