We liked the park because of the beautiful surroundings and everything is nicely put together. They have a lot of beautiful animals which you can see from quite small distance. We didn't like the price regarding the size of the park. It's actually quite small, was expecting a larger park... you can't bring some sort of food with you, which they don't have written on their site so don't bring many snacks with you, fruits are allowed. In general it's a lovely zoo but there are a lot more beautiful and larger round the Europe...

We were visiting València for 2 nights and decided we really wanted to visit Bioparc during our stay and it didn't disappoint. We arrived at the gate just after it opened (Wednesday) straight to the ticket desk - it costs around 26 euro to get inside but it's definitely worth it. It's beautiful, like a forest, it looks and feels so natural the way the park has been designed is amazing. There is lots of shade too from the trees and bushes which is so helpful in the heat of summer. The enclosures are big and lots of animals to see. We also sat at a cafe over looking one of the enclosures, it was nice to have a cold drink and watch all the wild animals go about their business. We also watched the bird show which was so well presented. We loved it. If you visit in summer do bring mosquito repellent! The park is nice but it's not big enough to make a day of it, a good 3-5 hours is sufficient depending how fast you walk around the park and if you watch the animal shows they have. I have to say it's one of the nicest zoos I've been too, so clean and beautiful. Great little gem in the heart of València ♥️

I honestly loved this place. The enclosures are fantastic as different species live amongst each other. The animals looked relaxed and happy too which I find the most important factor. Plenty of drink vending machines and toilets dotted around the place.

A really great animal park - clean and animal friendly. The enclosures blend in with nature, there are no cages. Visitors really enjoy this place! Suitable for visiting with small children. Animals can be viewed from many angles. Their activities can also be observed in their private places - caves. Many food places that allow you to enjoy this pleasant park longer. What is very important for families with children - there are toilets everywhere. Some birds are "free range" (see picture!)

Amazing place with various animals (yes it is not a typical zoo) - the animations are very educational (some of them are only in Spanish) and the visiting path is well designed, no need to look at the map all the time as there is only one main path. The animals are in quite good condition. The dauphin animation starts with a quiz (6 questions) to select a winner to have the opportunity to be interact with the dauphin which is a great idea! However the animation itself is a little bit “messy” as all dauphins are doing different activities on the same time.. the buffer restaurant has a great view on the giraffes and lions. Highly recommend to buy the tickets online in advance which saves time and money (slightly cheaper than buying on site)

It is more than a Zoo, it's a wonderful home for a lot of animals. The Zoo re-creates the natural habitat for all the animals. In the island of Madagascar you can walk and can get up close with the lemurs which stay above you on the branches of the trees. We spent 5 hours here with two kids to see everything. It was worth all the money paid to enter to the parc.

One of the nicest zoos I've visited. The enclosures are built in such a way as to feel as natural as possible to both visitors and the animals of the park. You will hardly see any fences or cages, it all feels a lot more natural. The theme is Africa and there are only African animals in the park. The highlight has to be the fact that you can enter the lemur enclosure and have them running around you and up in the trees above you.

The bio park Valencia is an a beautiful and an amazing adventure, worth going especially for friends and families. It’s very clean and cheap (20 euros for entrance). The personnel’s there are very engaging and excited to educate the visitors about the animals. You can tell they are super passionate about their jobs, just by the way they speak about the animals! The animals there come from various different continents, and look soo cool. You will never be bored walking around there - the environment is wonderfully crafted by unique and stylish infrastructure, showing off the animals’ natural habitats in all its glory. It’s very cool to walk around and learn about these fascinating creatures!

Stunning modern take on a Zoo experience with carefully designed natural enclosures that will make you think "how can just that keep the animals inside?!" and fully immerse you into an authentic Safari experience! The highlight of my visit was seeing the rhinos and hippos playfully fight! What a show!

This zoo exceeded our expectations. Very well designed and kept zoo. We arrived by foot from the historical center (40 minutes by foot taking the path of Turia Park) and the zoo tour took about 3 hours. The zoo has a lot of animals from different parts of the world. Over 10 hectares of natural habitat separated from pradetors only by stones and water. Animals are the best I have ever seen in Europe. It s a perfect place for both kids and adults. I strongly recommend to visit it if you have time in Valencia. It is a must see!!

We really wanted to like this zoo and it does seem like a great space like a park. The animals have ample space and it is very very clean. However, as a zoo, there weren't many animals and some were really far away or hidden (October). The entrance fee is about 30 euros per adult and I guess it justifies how nicely the environment is but I found this a little boring. There were like 2-3 of each animal and most are Africa related so there are so koalas or pandas. The best part was the hugging crocodiles and the hippo butt that we saw. Can't really say that this is world class if you compare it to the Vienna zoo or the Asahikawa Zoo. Not crowded at all though.

Truly amazing place. It's designed in a way that allowes you easily navigate to see everything without getting lost or using the map, although the map is available. You can spend there 2h but I'd recommend spending at least 5-6h. Personally I saw the whole park and after that I attended every event possible. Activities like live exhibition or meeting with keepers are enjoyable even if you don't speak Spanish. You can get a ticket online, including the meal which is a bit cheaper than buying it on site. Nevertheless it's not expensive either way. Bioparc is located 10-15 minutes on foot from metro. I should add that the whole place is so adorable, I'd go there even without any animals inside.

This is a beautiful park and you can see a lot of thought went into how to make the animals comfortable. It is such a surprise to find the big open spaces that the giraffes have. You can sit in a cafe and you are only separated by a small river, it is a wonderful experience. I have been twice now and really recommend you visit.

Me and my friend enjoyed this place so much. Animals seems well taken care off. It’s nice to see them from this close. The atmosphere is unbelievable, all the caves and decorations, loved it! Definitely would come here for second and even third time! 10/10!

A fantastic visit to a gorgeous zoo. Really well laid out, and some of the best views of animals I’ve seen at a park across multiple countries. The exhibits are well laid out, with multiple animals living in a simulated natural habitat alongside other creatures that would be found there. A huge range to see, and the multi-layer nature means that you can see many different animals at once from lots of views. The food at the cafe was well priced and fantastic quality. Lovely views too!! As an English speaker who plays at speaking Spanish, it was really great to have the staff so eager to check which language I most easily understood to have the information shared in - a welcome extra and certainly not expected! Definitely recommend. 🦁🦒🦍🦓🐘

I loved this bioparc so much more than just a zoo. The way the enclosures were built, it felt as though you were part of the experience. The exhibits were so much larger and multiple animals lived in the same exhibit. It was very cool

This is by far the best zoo i have been to...well designed, clean, well organized, and the most important, you walk in the shade most of the time. The show they do twice a day, is very nice...you see the birds behave in their natural habitat. If you are in Valencia, the biopark is a must see.

Bioparc Valencia is a fantastic zoo that is sure to please visitors of all ages. The zoo is well-maintained and organized, with informative signage and exhibits that teach visitors about the animals. The animals are well-cared for and seem to be happy in their enclosures. The setting of the zoo is also beautiful, with lush vegetation and ponds. I would highly recommend Bioparc Valencia to anyone visiting Valencia. Pros: - Well-maintained and organized zoo - Large collection of African fauna - Informative signage and exhibits - Educational and entertaining for all ages - Beautiful setting Cons: - Can be crowded during peak season - Some exhibits could be larger Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Bioparc Valencia and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Valencia!

Best zoo we’ve ever been to in the world. Beautiful park, happy animals, and friendly (bilingual) staff. If you’re looking for good food, visit the restaurant rather than going to the quick serve/takeaway options. Pro Tip: Bring mosquito repellent as they don’t sell it on the property and you will absolutely get bitten. Would rate it 10 starts of I could.

Awesome park. Very pleasant place to spend time, especially with children. Very comfort spaces for animals, big, spacious, a lot of clean ponds and spraying water during the day, there is almost none quilty feeling on visiting zoo. I liked how clean the place is, wood, stone and glass everywhere for the terrain relief. There are nice places to eat, rest, buy a drink on premises.

$30 per person. Great for any age. Like other European animal parks, big emphasis on animal welfare and minimal cages. Favorite aspect: was the cafe over looking the savannah animals; unexpected and peaceful. Recommend bringing camera! Recommend to bring: Water! Snacks/outside food not permitted. Conditions traveled: Season= October, Time: Soon after opening, Day: Week day, overall? Made for a great experience.

Freedom for animals and you like a part of wild world, but saved and protected. You can see a lot of animals without cages. You can see how workers feed the animals(lemurs )and these animals eat food near you. This park has interesting show with birds and different animals. For me this zoo park is one of the top three zoos I've ever seen. I recommend to visit

This is an absolutely brilliant bioparc, we loved every minute, stayed 4 hours and went around twice. There were lots of school visits in the morning and therefore quite busy but it was quieter in the afternoon. The whole area was clean, the animals had lots of space and looked incredibly well cared for. The gorilla was phenomenal. He stood up and thumped the glass whilst trying to catch a fly, it was amazing to witness.

Bioparc Valencia left me utterly impressed and stands out as the most incredible zoo experience I've ever had. The attention to detail, the well-maintained environment, and the overall design make it a standout destination for animal lovers. One of the most notable aspects is the generous space provided for the animals to roam. It's evident that their well-being is a top priority, and the thoughtful design of the enclosures allows them to exhibit natural behaviors. The sheer size of the zoo adds to the immersive experience, providing visitors with a sense of adventure and discovery. I particularly appreciated the innovative approach of having multiple species coexisting in certain enclosures. This not only enhances the educational aspect but also creates a more dynamic and engaging environment for both visitors and the animals themselves. The staff at Bioparc Valencia deserve commendation for their friendliness and dedication. Their passion for the well-being of the animals and their eagerness to share knowledge with visitors added to the overall positive experience. It's evident that they take pride in maintaining a high standard of care for both the animals and the guests.

I've been to many zoos and this is among the best. Focused only on African species, they combine several different animals in the same exhibit. For example rhinos and zebras or giraffes and impala. there is a great flow to the design and you usually have different viewpoints of the animal areas. not a traditional cage anywhere. highly recommended.

If you're looking for a few hours of escapism then this will do the trick. I couldn't believe how close this was to the city when I saw it online. I didn't have much spare time but managed to visit this park and it proved to be a fantastic afternoon. Once in the park, you're transported to a whole new world with consistently fantastic theming throughout. The layout of the park is also very organic with the different environments all blending together as you walk around. On that note, a map isn't even needed as it's very easy to navigate and with logical routes of paths laid out. A lot of thought has clearly been put into its layout. Given the smaller size of the park, there is an abundance and variety of animals to see, each in their own themed habitat. Plenty of viewing locations around each enclosure meant there wasn't much crowding of guests all trying to see and take pictures. The park wasn't too busy the day I went which probably helped but regardless, it was kept in a very clean state. I saw no litter on my entire visit which was impressive. The only downside was the food offering. I was hoping for a nice cafe as well as a restaurant, but all that was available on my visit was all I can describe as a school canteen. If you've got kids I'm sure this would be perfect but unfortunately this was highly disappointing with very basic food offerings. I purchased a couple courses but it was severely lacking so it was at this point I decided to leave the park and go back into the city for some proper food. My other concern would be the condition of some of the guest fences around the enclosures. It's nice that they're made of wood, fits the theme beautifully. But most of them were rotten and falling apart. This obviously poses risks for children as they could easily get through them. A lot had also been "fixed" poorly by knocking a few extra nails in where the fence had previously come apart. I only know this as a few had failed and broken apart again or were even on the floor entirely with many nails sticking out of them. Definitely something that needs to be addressed. Overall if you've got a couple hours to burn then this is a great place to go. If you have kids they will love it too. But my only gripe is the food. If you plan with this in mind, such as having lunch before your visit, then you'll have a more enjoyable day.

Great experience! Very well organized, you don’t need a map, you can just walk and the paths are arranged one after another so you can enjoy every minute instead of looking at the map and wondering around. Animals are arranged like in real life together, in a huge place and at the same time close to people. They are naturally separated by either rocks, trees or small rivers.

The Ibiza Botanical Biotechnological garden, or BIBO Park, is a gem on the island. It's a place where nature meets technology, showcasing a fantastic variety of plants, including some that are native and endangered in the region, all thriving even in mid-October. What stands out is the garden's innovative approach towards educating the public. They have unique biotechnological installations that generate electricity from nature, making learning about conservation and sustainability a fun experience. The highlight has to be the plant piano, an interactive feature where visitors can create music by connecting with plants - a truly magical experience. The tour of the garden is well-paced and filled with interesting facts about the flora and their habitats, making it a great learning experience for all ages. We visited with our 2-year-old, who had a blast at the wooden playground, tasting edible plants and watching the wildlife like dragonflies, bees, and spiders. There's also a variety of activities available, from bonsai classes to yoga sessions, adding to the garden's charm. It's clear that the team at BIBO Park is passionate about preserving nature and educating the public on the island's unique flora. Their efforts are privately funded, which is commendable, but they deserve government support to take their mission further. All in all, the garden is a beautiful and educational spot that offers something for everyone, making it a worthy visit when in Ibiza.

Very nice place to spend a day, very clean and well maintained. The animals are well-cared and have spacious enclosures, a lot of clean ponds and spraying water during the day. Even in hot summer day, there was so much shade it was actually comfortable. Food is expensive and not very good quality, but you do not visit Bioparc for the restaurant.

We had a wonderful day in the park. It is not too big but has a large selection of animals. The place is well looked after . We Loved the tunnels with viewing places and the barriers made of wood , Lots of places to seat and watch the animals. Best alternative to a zoo ever!! Animals are not in cages at all - they are in their natural environment with natural barriers. I swear there were times I felt that I was on a safari. I had a giraffes face so close to me. There was a hippo with it's newborn that we watched for at least 40 minutes. You feel so close to the animals! You can see that are very well cared for. I will definitely return.

A VERY beautiful zoo! It has a truly amazing design. It feels as if you are walking trough a jungle sometimes, and the very setup of everything is beautiful. They specialise in african animals so their is a lack od different animals from other continents, but there are still a lot of animals. The downsite is that it is rather small which means the amounts of places to sit and eat are few (i only think I saw one place actually). The size also results in rather small habitats for some of the animals (not all of them, but the hippo and the crocodiles, for example, could have used some more room). Oh and there are a lot of mosquitoes by the way.

It's a beautiful and clean park where animals are not in cages and people go on roads and in tunnels to watch them. It's not huge; one can probably go around twice in about 3h. Toilettes and vending machines are located at several corners of the park. I read somewhere that there's bonobo in Bioparc, but there's none. They have chimpanzees and gorillas, if you like to visit great apes. They take photos of you when you enter, with your permission of course, and develop it later. You can buy them for 5€ each if you like them.

  • 2/5 Felicity B. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely place, but so disappointed on the overall service. Having to wear a face mask outdoors in the heat is a real challenge and struggle, but the when you want to buy a drink most vending machines don’t work. Very limited places to eat and drink and the queues are huge 50 minute wait in queue, very little staff to help make the process agile. Toilets with no toilet paper. Such a shame.

Nice park! Our 2nd time here! Great place to visit with the kids! Nice show of birds at 4.30 pm. The conditions for animals seem better and closer to natural than in the usual zoos. Make sure to put one layer of clothes more! It always feels colder than in the city. However, we hoped to see more species of animals such as snakes and others!

A nice place to spend half a day. We got lost between the wildlife. Take your time and don't rush there is a lot to see!

The park is really beautiful. The animals are a sight for the eyes and eating with them by your side is something unique.

Zoo like safari. It was fun. It also has an indoor playground for kids. We also saw real rhinoceros walking and hippopotamus playing. Zoo has multi languages educational information and posters. Super cool place to visit.

This zoo was really impressive. The design of all of the enclosures allows you to feel like you're much closer to the animals. You don't feel as behind bars as in traditional zoos. The bird and mammal show is not to be missed. The food was not 5* particularly but pretty standard 'tourist attraction' food. The rest of the zoo 100% 5*.

One of the most beautiful zoo places I have ever been! It only took around couple of hours to check all the animals and they were really interesting in a well designed surroundings. Recommend 👍

On the whole a great zoo and worth the trip. Animals seem in good shape and enclosures seem large and well kept. They have a set schedule for shows, exhibitions or feeding times every day which appear free and well spaced out from one another - acting as a good guide to navigate the park. You could easily spend at least 6-7 hours here if you throw in lunch (the restaurant looked amazing, and is right by the giraffe and rhino enclosures). I will say that the park is large and difficult to navigate, the map given doesn’t really make sense and seems to be barely useable as guide to her around. There are tunnels, corners and bridges that make it very likely you’ll end up walking in circles once or twice. Definitely worth the trip, not quite a perfect score.

This park is so unique and nothing my family and I have ever experienced... it also spoiled any other zoo from now on 😅🙈 Located off the Turia Park, easily accessible by public transportation or car (they have an underground parking garage directly underneath). You can buy tickets online and select your entry tineslot or buy them at the ticket counter. Please note, although the VisitValencia site advertises with it, the Valencia Card no longer gives you a 15% discount! We went there right at 10 AM and had the park basically to ourselves for a good hour, so get there early. The layout is very easy to understand and navigate. There is so much to see and do. Children will have a blast with all the build in tunnels, caves and viewing platforms. Go to the back where the hippos and elephants are and then work your way through the rest (these two spots will get super busy later on). At the Madagascar location you will not be allowed to take your stroller, so you will need to park it. There are hand sanitizers placed throughout the facility and plenty of restrooms with diaper changing opportunities. At the entrance or exit, there is a restaurant with playground. You will need to show your covid certificate to enter. All in all hands down the BEST zoo we have ever been to. Add this to your list of things to do in Valencia!

Well organised zoo experience. Animals very content and friendly. Great place for a peaceful walk. Outstanding attractions. Highlight for me were elephants, giraffes. The List is goes on. All the animals very happy in the glorious sun.

Very nice experience! Animals looking good and healthy. The installation are very clean and well kept. A lot of freedom for the animals. We liked the fact that different species are together kept as in their natural environment (co-living). Happy to visit again. Entrance price is in good relation. You can see that they take really good care of the animals ans the park. Enhorabuena, Team Bioparc!

great day out with the family. plenty of animals to see in each exhibit. the cafe was checking vaccinations, so there was a queue, but once in the service was okay. i recommend if you're tight on time to eat before as lunch ate up a lot of our time.

Literally one of the nicest zoos I have been too. The animal habitats are spectacular. Plenty of shade and always lots of active animals to see. The lemur encounter is a highlight! The restaurant is also very good and over looks the animals in the Savannah. Very much worth the visit.

This is definitely another place where to bring your kids. Mine were enthusiastic whenever we moved from one place to the other. Most of the animals were quite sleepy...I hope they are not too sad of living between some high walls, but at least the spaces are really big. Definitely not like small cages. There are a lot of animals to see. And One of the best spots is the cafeteria which is really close to the area where giraffes and zebras are. When we were there, there was a giraffe which was literally 3m away from us. That was magnificent. The whole park is really nice but it gets very hot in warm days. So bring with you plenty of water if you don't want to keep buying it there. Another area which we really enjoyed is the aquariums where very colourful fish and the hippos live.

I really enjoyed my visit to Bioparc Valencia. It is a nice zoo, smaller than I expected but that makes it easier to look around. My trip took ~2h for everything. It seems like they pay a lot of attention about every detail, especially animal welfare and their comfort.

Fine example of modern zoo keeping. Animal separated from public by clever design so no animal is trapped within cages. Fantastic animal and bird show with capacity for several hundred people to view. Take the city tour bus which stops at front door

It was different than what I expected but in a nice way. It was smaller than I expected (feared :) ) but felt compact not crowded. The other good surprise were the prices at the food stands - based on previous comments I thought it would be ridiculously expensive but the prices were actually similar to the ones in the city (e.g. €1.6 for a coffee and about €2 for a croissant). The park itself has several distinct zones that help to disperse the crowds. The pathways are (mostly) on the shade which is very important in the wormer months. There are also plenty of benches. The setting is very nice and offers multiple views to the habitats. There are also some interesting presentations (when we were there there was one about birds & one about primates). They are in Spanish only but the kids in our group (6 & 9) were quite interested even though they didn't understand what the guide was talking about. Also one of the guides spent some time with us to explain in English what the presentation was about after they finished which felt really nice. Overall I would highly recommend visiting especially with kids. It took us about 3 hours to go through it without being in a hurry which is what I consider the outer range of attention for younger children :).

Having some of the animals up so close is an amazing experience to have within a city. Although still considered a Zoo, the animals are very well kept. It has refreshments and many shadows all along the way in order to stay cool.

Great ZOO! The elephants are amazing. I recommend to buy the tickets online, you will save 20min in the line

I did not expect much going in and I was a little taken aback by the 26 Euro entrance fee but it was totally worth it! It is the best zoo that I've ever been to. The animals are not in cages and it seems the staff really cares for their wellbeing. Besides just seeing the animals I also got to learn a lot. Kudos to the entire staff making it possible for the public to enjoy the majestic animals.

Brilliant zoo, enclosures are huge and replicate the natural environment without any metal fences. We sat through one of the shows in the amphitheatre and were blown away. Well worth a visit. Great day out and mostly in the shade so good way to get out the sun!

What a lovely zoo! We went expecting that it would be far too hot at 2 PM in June, however, there is so much shade it was actually comfortable. The animal enclosures were really nice and the animals appeared well cared for and happy. The cafeteria was amazing as well.

Very pleasant experience seeing the animals close by without any high fence. Many species coexist in the same space which is very cool to see

Really enjoyed the visit. Plenty of biomes and animals to see. Lemurs up close were great. Restaurant food was brilliant and had no issues there whatsoever. Could do with more shading and possibly a mist feature to keep guests cooled during peak season, at some parts, the heat was unbearable.

I think it's probably the best conditions for any animals in any conservation /zoo I've ever seen in my life. The staff are also great, although, I didn't like trying to be pressured into buying my photo despite saying no like 6 times. The animals are amazing. The layout is great. I strongly recommend it! It's honestly shockingly nice

Beautiful place, the Bioparc Valencia it is known for its unique design that aims to recreate and preserve natural habitats for animals. . The zoo focuses on African wildlife and providing its animals with spacious enclosures that resemble their natural habitats as closely as possible. This allows visitors to observe the animals in environments that are more similar to the wild, promoting both their well-being and education about their natural behavior. If you have an interest in wildlife and conservation, it is definitely worth a visit. Kids will love the place.

Very nice Zoo. Animals look healthy and looked after. Environmental is very clean and animals have everything for comfortable life. There's nice small waterfalls and a river full of fishes. The Gif shop is expensive. Although food is a decent price.

Very nice zoo, lots of natural shade due to the large trees and unique architecture of the parc. We visited on a hot day, but it was still working pretty well thanks to the natural shade. The animals seemed to be very well taken care of and live a good life. I’d however recommend eating lunch somewhere else prior to visiting, as the food in the main restaurant was not very impressive and you have to go outside to one of their cafés to grab a coffee. A few recommendations to Bioparc Valencia: -Please consider increasing the amount of information available in English as well. Not all of your visitors are from Spain 😉 -It would be nice of one could buy hand desinfection somewhere in the parc, as it was not publicly available anywhere.

This zoo was far better than I anticipated. While smaller than some it is by far one of the best kept I've ever been to. The habitats are so clean and beautiful to look at even if the animals weren't present. What a wonderfully designed zoo. Have animals mixed together wear very unique. We visited in about three hours.

The Valencia zoo is not as big as you might expect from other cities. It focuses on animals whose home is a hotter environment, you won’t find any ice bears or penguins here. The animals have plenty of space and live with animals they would encounter in nature as well. Took one of the guided tours in the evening and it’s educational and worth going back to some animals in the late afternoon. I wish their signage in the park was a bit better, got lost a few times.
