Beautiful place! With a fantastic facade, combining ancient and contemporary architecture. The interior follows the same lineage, with a solid and simple construction. Without being a huge market, it holds varied offers. Inside, for a moment, it seems to transport us to a railway station from other times, with its pillars and metallic arches. A place to visit

We went expecting to go to a food market like others in the city and was pleasantly surprised when we found a market that had been refurbished into lots of small bars and a few shops and restaurants downstairs. Lovely atmosphere in the evenings. Is open till late and seemed always busy as it is clearly popular with the locals. However it is more expensive that some bars but still recommend visiting

A Market plenty of restaurants for tapeo or having a meal. Is a big space with two story. The lower level have fancier restaurants. Unfortunately the restrooms were in a disgusting state, to the point that we rather to keep ourselves from using them. We also tried to have a refreshing horchata and it wasn't possible since the waitress never attend us. The place was literally empty....

Really nice architecture, with a variety of local food and crafts. Near the Valencia cathedral. It is worth a visit and you can pay by card as well.

Beautiful architecture. Loads of places inside to get some nice food and drinks at really reasonable prices. Very relaxing atmosphere during the day and busy at night.

This former covered marketplace has been transformed into a food hall. There are some very nice restaurants both at ground floor and the center of the building has been opened up so that some additional food courts can be found on level -1.

Review for middle of October 2023: Went here again for the architecture. Nice artista inside with homemade jewelry, paintings. Really cool vibe. I've also purchased a really nice ice-cream from a coffee shop in a corner.

Nice place to get some shade, cool down, grab a drink and refresh yourself after exploring the city on a hot day. There are coffee place type areas upstairs. Downstairs will be the restaurant type area as well as a deli. The art nouveau exterior is definitely unique and strikes some resemblance to the North Train station — they were probably built in the same era. Do grab a horxata or a cafe cortado while taking your break in this lovely edifice.

Small market space with a few cafes and basement shops. Nice to pop by to check out but wouldn't go to this area just for it. The main market is bigger and has more items for tourists

I guess it’s better during warm season, we wanted to stop for our breakfast in December and it was rather fresh, as the market itself is an open one. Otherwise, it’s an Interesting exemple of an art nouveau. Not an actual market, rather a food court , better be visited for lunch or dinner.

What a darling market! Lots of treats to try, I didn’t know where to begin. Loved walking around and people watching. They had sit down spots and to go options. Even stalls with fresh meats and vegetables. Will definitely return and try some of the foods and drinks.

It was a beautiful part of the city and a nice place to take a little coffee or perhaps an Aperitivo but we didn't find anything we could take as a main meal. However there were not that many options for food and really just one butcher downstairs.

This makert is much smaller than the central market and is much more chilled. This place is mainly little restaurants and some small market stalls. A great place to get out of the heat have some food and drinks. The building is quite impressive and the toliets are free.

Lovely market full of restaurants, coffee shops and a market. We went for lunch to Bio Café Organic. It offers vegan and vegetarian options. We ate a salad and a veggie paella. We also tried Orxata (horchata) for the first time (refreshing and delicious, no sugar added). Staff super friendly. Passed by at night and it had a vibrant atmosphere! Definitely a spot to visit!

In firmer post office, numerous food stalls, a couple of bars. Order drinks and food from any stall once seated. Fantastic burger, lovely fish croquetas and sepia! Great place, also for earlier dinner.

Beautiful architecture! I preferred the mercado Central since they had more variations of food and it wasn’t restaurants and cafes like this one. I was not very impressed by the selection of restaurants and most of them seemed to be expensive and experimental food

Nice looking open air market in downtown Valencia. I was expecting more options in the food court. Lots of breakfast options upstairs. Didn’t head downstairs due to lack of time but afterwards checked out there web site and saw that there are additional options below ground. Worth another walkthrough in the coming days.

The contemporary market is worth the visit and explore around for some food and drinks. Nice open space and well looked after. Free public toilets too on the ground floor.

Mercat de Colón is one of our favorite places in Valencia. It is a great place to relax, have a bite, or and enjoy a drink with family and friends. We often stroll past on our way to the city center and pop in for a little treat.

Such a beautiful place. If you love cocktails go to Down Monkey, where they have the most amazing margaritas and super fabulous staff ❤️❤️

Fantastic concept to maintain this historical building in Valencia. The old market might not be active anymore, but it's presence is still felt with this architecture. Several small beer and food businesses are now located inside and downstairs. There is also accessible parking area.

This is a great place to go if you are looking for a nice glass of wine and a place to sit outside! Down on the ground floor you will find other restaurants as well—some have outdoor seating and some are inside only. They are dog friendly for the outside seating! So take your furry friends along!

Gorgeous architecture, a mixture or Haussman and Gaudi… and the food court is open all day

Just outside the tourist domain. Nice open “food court”. Lots of character! Relaxed, good food and drinks!

Amazing piece of architecture in a quiet part of the city. This space offers a wide variety of food, drink and shopping experiences. Great coffee shops to the best of the local beer scene. Something for everyone.

God atmosphere but we got 3 cans for our dinner. Well, it was on menu but we did not understand it. Who could think they would serve a canned tuna? I think the waiter should specify it and tell the guests that the tuna and fish are from cans

A very nice place, unique and special. In the heart of Valencia. Some nice cafetería la and restaurants. Good place to sit after a shopping day.

Architecturally stunning in every way. There are only about 10 spots to eat with minimal variety. They have some tapas places, some coffee Spots with pastries and seafood and meat. There’s random vintage and second sellers set up with retail tables. Centrally located to alot.

After dining at Central bar in the Central market, which was a truly amazing experience . We thought we would try here and as amazing Central bar was this was equally disappointing. Portions are small 10€ for one tomato plus a bit of tuna. 9€ for a handful of Pimientos Padrón. there are way better restaurants in Valencia to discover.

Definitely worth it to visit. I had an amazing Glass of Sangría (Copa de Sangría) with a spectacular and delicious fried smash potato with camon iberico 'typical Spanish ham' and Paté of Anchovies. It was Magical during Christmas festivities.

Its kind of food court but only have a few restaurants and in down floor has a store to buy fish, vegetables, fruits and meat. It doesn’t have so many stores to buy fresh foods. Beautiful building and also clean. In downstair has a miniature of the market. Its so cool.

  • 5/5 Raúl M. 1 year ago on Google
Really nice gourmet market to spend some hours tasting amazing food with a great ambiance. Its architecture is very special and just checking the building is worth the visit. Also a great place to buy good cheese, meat, chicken, fish or cold meats. Located in a very centric and nice neighborhood, surrounded by different shops and good transportation. Totally recommend visiting. Could be compared to Madrid’s San Miguel market, but less busy and maybe not as popular.
