My husband and I are at IVP weekly and have had nothing but fun playing with friends and family. However, today we showed up after a short spree of rain. When we arrived at 5:30pm it was sunny and we were hoping to have fun playing all night as usual. The man at the desk taking our $20 drop-in fee (a cash $20 bill) made a smirky comment about the rain. We then spent the next 5-10 minutes desperately trying to clear a court to play on by bucketing out the hundreds of gallons that were flooded on every single court (which were completely unwarned or aware of). We ultimately decided after 10 minutes of failure to make any progress to clear the court that we were going to leave. Naturally we asked for a refund or a partial refund, since we were only on the property an entirety of 10 minutes, every which minute was spent clearing their courts of water, and the same man who took our $20 bill denied any refund. We are understanding of a “no refund policy” in general practice for a business of this nature, but the immorality of this kind of treatment and the handling of this situation for frequent customers is saddening.

IVP has become a summer evening/weekend staple for my friends and I! The courts are beautiful and in great shape, the food and drinks are to die for with great weekday specials! Ginger and Phil are friendly, honest, and fun and provide a great environment for you to enjoy time with friends and family. Highly recommend!!

Thank you Phil and Ginger for a wonderful luau tournament. Island delight drinks are delish! And the luau show did not disappoint, fire dancers were amazing!! Appreciated the interactive Audience participation and Charles and Grant kept the ice flowing all day on a crazy hot day for sand volleyball. Appreciate all you do to keep sand volleyball alive in this community! And love the jacked quesadillas always hits the spot after a long tournament day.

This place is just plain, old good fashioned fun! The vibe is absolute perfection and the bartenders not only know how to make a mean margarita, they're wonderfully kind humans, too!! The courts are taken care of and it's the perfect place to hangout and have a great time with friends!

I loved this place. Wow. I have never been to a bar where it was ok not to have shoes on lol. The volleyball courts were amazing. Thanks for the awesome drinks and fun. I haven't laughed that much in a minute. U gotta check this place out. Even if it is only once.

This place is every adult volleyball player's dream bar. They have leagues, tournaments, drop in, all on site and there are ALWAYS enough courts for everyone. Seriously, there are so many courts. The sand is amazing, so soft and kept nice and deep on the courts and not dusty. There are even outdoor showers for the hot days when you're sweaty and covered in sand from digs and dives. I love that I can wash my feet or whole body if needed. THERE IS SO MUCH SEATING. Seriously, you'll never hurt for a place to hang out because there is such a huge variety of seating options everywhere. The bathrooms were clean apart from being a little sandy, which is to be expected, but I saw staff constantly sweeping up sand everywhere inside. You can tell everyone who works there likes their job. They're clearly being treated well by their employers. They play music loud enough to enjoy, but nowhere is it so loud that you can't be heard when speaking. There's also a neat bar counter on the patio with stools so you can enjoy your refreshments while watching some matches. The bistro is the perfect accompaniment to a day of volleyball in the sun. Nothing is fried. Nothing. My husband and I split their steak nachos and still couldn't finish it. It was so good and soooo cheesey. We loved it. They had so many other food options, but the salads looked particularly amazing. The frozen margs are bomb af. The bar staff were incredibly polite and attentive. In addition to the bar inside, there are also two outside, so we never had to wait for drinks. I think my favorite part about this place is how comfortable I felt right away despite never having been before. As a woman, it can be a risk to wear the things that are most comfortable for us when playing beach volleyball because we're often objectified when we do. That didn't happen here. Not once. In fact, I was surprised by the number of women wearing just sports bras or bathing suit tops and some even in volleyball briefs. At one point I needed to change because the temperature dropped in the evening and for the first time anywhere, I felt completely comfortable taking off my tank top and putting on my hoodie. No one batted an eye. I of course had on a sports bra underneath, but it can still be intimidating. But even if something did get out of hand, they have private security on site. I really loved that. Honestly, I think anyone can enjoy this place. Lots of kids were present during their parents' tournaments during the day and they all seemed to enjoy the jumbo Jenga and connect 5 sets available to them to play with at their leisure. It was a very family friendly environment during the day. In the evenings, it's obviously more geared towards adults. Overall, I really enjoyed my day here and will definitely be back the next time I'm in CO Springs. Give it a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Great atmosphere, fun crowds. I suggest brining your own ball, they have some but there's a $50 deposit to borrow a ball. Which I get because people probably steal theirs. This ensures they get their stuff back. Really good food and drinks. Options for vegetarians and some gluten free options. If you go when it's super busy you can challenge another group to a game and "steal" their court but it's a dope way to make some new buddies for the night.

My daughter and I had the absolute best time!! From the second we walked in Hope treated us like royalty. My daughter is profoundly deaf and wears hearing aids so when it started raining we were invited into the heated cabana to chill and wait for the weather to clear. It was refreshing to be treated as human beings rather than be put in a corner because we are different. Thank you to each person who took care of us

We signed up for the Monday night family night thinking we would be playing against families with kids because the website said “family night” and had pictures of kids. However, we were totally wrong. I can see that this place would be fun with adult friends, in fact I may come back later on with friends, but it is not the place to sign up with kids and play. We have competed against all adults and my teenage children have been very disappointed playing against such advanced players. It doesn’t make it enjoyable. So definitely not fun for kids, unless they are super advanced! Also, a little dissatisfied with staff. Haven’t been very friendly to our family. It’s more of a bar environment for sure.

I love the IVP Beach House! The owners are so kind and charismatic and are always looking to make improvements on their business! If your looking to have some fun outdoors with your friends, this is the place to go!

Always good fun! Great drinks, fishbowls are delicious. I just wish they had more of a food selection. If you don't have the right clothes, they sell them. TONS of courts to play on. They also have cornhole. Getting a drink can be time consuming sometimes so get them before you start.

Great hangout space. Knocked 2 stars off for all the spam emails they send me. Otherwise, the place is great! (Give them a fake email so you don't get on their spam list)

Ordered the Happy Cap, portabello shroom was not grilled, bun was cold and dry, very un-tasty. Drinks were okay. Need better chef that can actually Cook food correctly imo.

The entry fee is very reasonable. It can be hard to find a competitive game on any given day/night, but that isn't IVP's fault. I had a great time on all three days/nights I was there - met a lot of people and they were all very friendly. The staff have been very pleasant and helpful. Haven't tried the food yet. There is a king/queen of the beach doubles tournament every Monday night for more serious players.

A little disappointed that their website (and signs posted on site) said they have brunch/fishbowls, but they don't have them until May; however, the food, drinks and service were pretty good. Can't wait to come back in May for some brunch, fishbowls and volleyball. Volleyball is $10/day and they have 12 courts. Plus large jenga, cornhole and connect four. All around a unique place for Colorado Springs, from May to September.
