Rarely in life do we encounter such delightful surprises as our experience at the Hotel del Pensamiento in Manizales. This elegantly constructed country hotel, nestled amidst picturesque surroundings, serves as an inspiring haven for contemplation. What truly left an indelible mark on us was the impeccable service rendered by Wilson at the reception. His meticulous attention to detail enriched our journey from the outset. The guest rooms exude pristine comfort, ensuring a memorable stay. The spa, a sanctuary for introspection, combines a Turkish bath with a Jacuzzi, encouraging profound self-reflection and an opportunity to reassess one's habits for the better. While this establishment already shines, one could envision an enhancement with the inclusion of thermal baths, a natural fit given the local trend or at least a heated pool will make it. In comparison, we've experienced disappointing visits to hot spring hotels like "Tierra Viva," which paled in comparison to this gem. Thus, Hotel del Pensamiento firmly secures a place in my top 5 of 2023. Lord Jesus willing, I look forward to returning with my family to relish this remarkable experience once more. I enjoyed so much that I forgot my cellphone in the room so I owe you the pictures

Great value. Very small rooms. Not near much and have to pay to visit the park. Great restaurant!

Visited the convention center, beautiful space, wide open walk zones and a place to relax, learn or meditate.

A really nice setting with very beautiful grounds. A convention hotel which is on the outskirts of Manizales. The rooms are nice and modern but on the small side. Breakfast is included but just fair.

We stayed at this superb hotel for a couple of nights. Lovely grounds and big rooms with reasonably priced room bar. Didnt explore the grounds but they looked extensive. The attached restaurant had a live saxaphonist/singer as we ate. I liked it.

Excellent restaurant. Fabulous grounds. Though recently renovated it has a few flaws which should not deter a visit. Rooms back onto a passageway which is extremely noisy as shift or convention workers pass by very early in the morning. It quickly settles down.

I was greeted with a glass of juice. My luggage was delivered to my room. The rooms are dated, with old furniture and dirty carpet. There's no a/c or screens on the windows, which were open when I checked in, so I spent some time killing bugs. The room is very small, with an extremely tight entry and bathroom. The hotel is located in a rural area, so the complimentary drinks and snacks came in handy. The shower got hot and the water pressure was decent.

Nice place to stay, surrounded by nature. Rooms are somewhat small, but comfortable. Rooms are not heated, so they can be cool at night. We took a nature walk in the morning where we saw tropical birds, a butterfly house, and a hummingbird observatory. We also saw numerous wild orchids.

Beautiful grounds and hotel located in an industrial zone with very few restaurants close by. Lacking a positive atmosphere, the staff at the reception and in the dining area barely smile, they are courteous but lack personalities. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the breakfast buffet is wonderful. They lack a coffee, tea or water station in the reception area which is a negative. If Juan Valdez (which was closed the whole 2 days I was there) is closed then you are out of luck unless you want to make a trip to the restaurant ( if it is open) which requires a lot of wasted time and you will be charged. The rooms can get very cold but I was able to get a heater from reception. Overall not bad but with a few minor changes could be so much better and easily 5 stars.

So, You don't stay at this hotel for the rooms which are small and dated. You stay here for the location which gets you out into nature. The hotel itself is out of from any services , but that is why you stay here in the first place. They give wonderful tours of the property.

The hotel is located in a great secluded location, the food is great and tasty. The room is rooms are average, however we were given the big one for handicap people. Among the amenities they have gorgeous and lavish gardens, we visited their butterflies and hummingbirds sanctuaries. Also we hike on their beautiful Orchids forest.

Awful hotel. Blasted music insanely loud right next to the rooms until 1am. No warning, no apology.
