This place was really crazy awful and I would not recommend at all for the price. When I arrived the place didn’t look like the pictures. The main house looks like a wreck and there is no comfort inside the tents. Everything looks really cheaply made. The towels are all old, the beds are not comfortable and the sheets are not new. The sheets are not enough for the weather either. It’s really cold and you can actually get sick in the tents without downs. The bathrooms are outside and also very grossly made. There is no real sidewalk to the bathrooms. It’s all muddy and it’s hard to walk without slipping so going to the bathroom is a pain in the neck. I can’t believe I paid just to have back pain and a cold. It’s really just a finca in the middle of nowhere where there are tents for people. Nothing more. This place is really a huge liability and for the price I would never come here again. A car picks you up taking you through a road where it’s difficult to get out. If you want to see more things around the area, good luck, because there’s no way to get out without their special car. I really was expecting a lot more because for the price I have gone to multiple locations in termales del Ruiz area who are better. Where you can see el nevado del Ruiz and the termal pools. It doesn’t make sense to come here. Payment is also very difficult. If you’re an international person, it’s really hard to pay because it’s direct deposit or cash only. Also there’s no real activities in the property to enjoy like. There is no real restaurant, just one lady doing everything & the attention is pretty terrible, not many people to help you or guide you through the property.

A very remote area to go. The road up to this location can only be accessed by 4x4. The food is good and the birds are great.

the place is beatiful, really amazing, the people is awesome, unfortunately the physical infrastructure is not well maintained. We stayed in a room or "cabaña", not the gampling, lack of cleanliness. Beatiful birds and Mateo the birds guide although is pretty young is an expert!. Recommended for a bird day, not to sleep there

After hearing of this place for a couple of years I finally made it there last month while visiting birding sites in the Manizales/ Cordillera Central area. I was there explicitly for the bird photography opportunities which are world class, but I think this place would still be a lot of fun for non-birders too, especially if they wanted to just relax, unplug, and be enveloped in the beautiful mountain forest setting. In the interest of full disclosure I just a cabina to stay in rather than a tent, and it was quite delightful. There was of course electricity (essential for changing batteries) private bath, and hot water. Claudia the cook and general on-site point person was incredibly kind and welcoming. Mateo the birding guide (I highly recommend booking him at least one day, if not more) is fantastic for locating some of the more challenging species like Black-collared Jay and Ocellated Tapaculo, and has very impressive knowledge of calls and habits. I would recommend a stay here to anyone who wants to see the incredible birds of central Colombia, particularly the Black-billed Mountain-Toucan which is the speciality of this place. Honestly a perfect experience and great value as well.

👍👍 Wow, absolute BLISS! My partner and I travelled to El Nido del Condor for our honeymoon. From the moment you step into the Gondola until the moment you arrive on the isolated most beautiful mountain island, the experience is an absolute adventure where you can feel at peace and away from the chaotic...
