A beautiful religious place. Just beware of monkeys. They continuously try to steal foods and in that case they can hurt you. So just give them some food and away from them. Be relax and pray 🙏.🤍🤍

Its a spiritual place. Bit mandir controlling body has more aggressive for Money. Its shouldn't be like this. There is a VIP line and one is normal. Goddess is for everyone not only for rich people.

This temple is basically a goddess Durga temple...Maa mohamaya is another avatar of Devi Durga...So i'm going to share two folklore about the origin of this temple...once upon a time there was a poor man who worked in the forest of this hill..one day suddenly this man saw a light coming from the dense forest...then he saw Shiv and Parvati there...and then he established a temple in the top of the hill.

In my opinion, i didn't see the much attraction inside the temple. The Pujaris and other people of the temple were so good. I found a great devotion inside there. But the sculptures were abandoned. We saw nothing inside except the giant tortoise and snake. And monkeys disturbed us so much. Except these, everything was so good and well maintained 🙏

The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Mahamaya. It was built during the reign of Kalachuris of Ratnapura. This temple is considered to be the greatest Shaktipeeth for Hindu pilgrims in lower Assam.Mahamaya temple was established during the rule of Kalchuri King Ratnadev who was a founder of Haihaiyavansi Kingdom. I loved the place.. There is a huge tree which is made by concrete.. A large number of monkeys here.

One of the beautiful scenrio & peaceful temple of Maa Mahamaya goddess situated upon the Hill in Lower Assam Kokrajhar. while you pray, your soul & mind gives you a eternal energies to achiveing your goals, temple decorations are well maintained where pujaris and other staff of the temple is so gentle and kind in behaviour. But note one thing there is lots of Banar sena (Money) inside the Mandir, which making you irriate during carrying "BHOGs" so be careful,Bring a Cue for getting rid of monkeys sometime they harm peoples. Lots of puja & stationery vendors are available inside & outside the mandir so all puja samagris easily available there.

This temple is situated in Dhubri District of Assam. You can go straight towards Dhubri and in between you will get this temple. Situated in the midst of nature and a good place to visit during winter time. A nice picnic place also. Sometimes Google maps turns you into other roads so it is better to take help of people to reach this place. Parking lot is there

This is a very beautiful and spiritual place. Temple is situated on a bit higher ground and you have to climb few stairs. But it is very clean except few monkeys. Drive to this location is full of picturesque landscapes. You will feel “at peace” when inside the temple. You can enjoy food after prayers at a local dhaba near the temple.

Beautiful temple of Goddess Mahamaya. Peaceful & serene.. But you will find lots of monkeys. Be careful especially when there is prasad in your hands. They will attack and steal under your nose.

Mahamaya Temple of Bagribari near Gouripur, Assam, is a renowned one. Goddess Mahamaya is worshipped here. Besides there are temples of Lord Shiva, Goddess Kali and others. Pilgrims from lower Assam and North Bengal used to come here frequently and offer their prayers throughout the year. In the time of Kalipuja huge gathering is observed here. The temple is situated on the top of a small hill in the sylvan atmosphere. The scenic beauty attracts everyone. There are so many hotels to stay here. The small village of Bagribari is close to the temple.
