Horrible place to stay!! Line to check in was 4 + people with only 1 desk clerk. Got checked into our room, put on our swimsuits and headed to the pool which was closed. When asked why I didn't know this at check in, they said the kids can swim in the hot tub. Terrible customer service. Elevators are super SLOW! Prepare to wait a long time! Super noisy hallways. Can hear everything and everyone from the hallway in the rooms. Terrible experience.

it was a terrible experience. the elevator broke down at my visit. the customers were very noisy and it was very difficult to fall asleep considering i had to wake up early in the morning. the hallway smell absolutely horrible while walking on the stairs. the elevator took very long to come to your floor. the pool was closed so we went in the hot tub… i ended up getting an eye infection because of all the chlorine. i do not recommend.

We arrived at 3PM for check-in, we were informed that they were short of cleaning staff and to come back 1/2 hour to a hour later. We came back at 4PM and got the same answer. 5:30PM we were finally able to get into our room. The pool was "closed" due to chemical unbalance, but there were tons of kids swimming, hopefully nobody got hurt. Due to our late check-in we were rushed getting ready for our dinner reservations. Our room had a bag that said hairdryer but it was empty and we had less then 1/2 roll of toilet paper. The shower door is on the wrong side of the shower so when you turn on the water you are instantly hit with freezing water. Our thermostat keep changing settings causing us to get up multiple times throughout the night to adjust the temperature of the room. You need your room key to leave the parking lot which doesn't make much sense when you have to drive around the block and come back to the front door to drop off room keys. We expected better for the money of a Hinton.

One of the only options next to venue area. Extremely difficult to navigate. Parking ramp is low. Very high priced for what you get. Room was clean, elevators were confusing 😕

What a great hotel! Very large room on the 9th floor corner complete with a large deck area with picnic table and chairs. Ample seating, large full bathroom, smaller half bathroom, small fridge and microwave, two TVs, good sized desk area with chair. Located conveniently near civic center downtown. Easily accessible parking deck connected to hotel. Restaurant in the hotel which looked better than the average Hilton Garden fare. Definitely hope to stay here again.

Service/Location were fine. Room was not the greatest. Weird burn marks all over the mirror in the bathroom??? Toilet was so slow to flush that I thought it was broken/clogged. Beds were not comfy & the sheets had a weird scratchy texture. Remote had some crud caked on it which was pretty gross. For what we got we honestly should have paid about $100 less for the room for the night.

Room was spacious, staff was pleasant, parking was convenient, bed was comfy and climate control actually worked. All pluses but the room was pretty dirty and the toilet was perpetually clogged, even after I requested a plunge I could not get it to work properly. As always it seems, Hilton charges for a luxury experience but only provides an average stay hence the 3 stars

Arrived on a Sunday morning and from outside heard a loud booming music. Upon entry found out that the connected restaurant was having a drag show. Kind of strange first impression on a Sunday morning. There was no one at the desk but a sign that said they would come back shortly. Whereupon a young man came and checked me into my room. Important to note... As a diamond member at all Hilton properties I am used to getting greeted as such, the special snacks available as well as two bottles of water. None of this was done and the young man had no clue what I was talking about. It's quite unusual to have a Hilton name on a hotel that doesn't represent the Hilton brand. The room was large which was nice, the elevators a bit slow if you're on the top floor. The bed was hard by my standards and somewhat uncomfortable. I was there for a week and due to business reasons would maybe stay again just for the location.

In Mankato for business. Rooms: 4 nights 2 queens, nice size room. Bathroom looked cleaned until I got in the shower and the tub felt slimmy. Came to the conclusion it was the water. One of my coworkers said they must use water softener but it felt gross. The carpet in the room also felt sticky luckily i brought flip flops. Service: the whole time i was there they never came to clean my room. Even when i took the sign off my door. The restaurant downstairs is pretty decent. If you are a gold/diamond hilton member you can get $10 credit to go towards food or to use to get snacks. no continental breakfast. Location: there is a hyvee grocery store in walking distance as well as its in walking distance to the entertainment district which has a number of restaurants.

I came late at approximately 12:30AM as a walk in guest and the front person could not figure out how to check me in using my Hilton honors points and told me it was not possible. I asked for a supervisor and he told me he was the only person working and i would have to find somewhere else to sleep. I knew that was incorrect so I call the online customer support and they were able to help me check in. I then requested for a late check out at 2 pm because my son had football camp at Minnesota State University and he told me it was ok. In the morning before leaving to the football camp I called back to guest services to make sure that they remember I will be returning at approximately 1pm and checking out at 2pm and they told me they know because the person working in the front last night informed them. At 12:30pm I received a email from Hilton Mankato saying they checked me out already. I called and spoke with the front desk person who stated the hotel automatically checks people out at noon but don't worry I still got until 2pm, I would just need to update my key to regain access to the room again. We returned to our room at 1pm and discovered they have cleaned our room, threw out all our food and moved and bagged up our property. We spoke with the cleaning lady and the manager who stated she was never informed of our late check out. I also spoke with the front desk person who stated he did informed the cleaning crew. We left phone charger, earbuds, blankets, and other properties laying around. We had to scramble around looking for missing property and my wife had to go threw the garbage to make sure nothing valuable was thrown out. The staff did apologize for the mistake and brought us up some food and drinks, but I am still upset because this all could of been avoided through communication and training.

Stayed here just for a night out. We were treated amazing by the staff. Great customer service, nice clean rooms, and an excellent location. We will be back! Thank you Jill and David!

Damaged not clean bathrooms, terrible customer service. I would pass and pick a different Hilton to stay at. When I tried to check in I was told a completely different price, $150 more than I had booked the room for. I asked why there was a difference and I was told they didn't know and I would have to wait a few days for the manager to contact about my questions or go somewhere else. The bathroom sink was dirty (I found hair and dirt in the sink), most of the corners haven't been wiped down for a while, spiders in the bathroom corners, they had broken glass in the swimming pool hot tub, a homeless person in their sky walk area lobby in the entrance from the parking garage to the hotel with multiple spider webs in the door frames, and most of the towels we had in the room were stained. Literally the WORST Hilton that I have stayed at, and I have stayed at 10 different Hiltons (different chains, but still Hilton) in 5 different states. I wish I would have driven the extra miles and booked a different location for my travels in the area. Wish I could give it a zero stars.

Hotel AC was broke all weekend. Lobby, bar were uncomfortable in the middle of August. Really anywhere outside the room. Didn't get offered any discount for the inconvenience. The drain in our shower was slow. If you took a shower you ended up standing in 2 inches of water. Poor customer service.

The room itself was laid out well. Bathroom was fairly clean but not what I'd call completely clean. Shower corners were dirty. Bed was fairly comfortable but the pillows are trash. The main downfall to the room was the water pressure was dismal. I have better pressure in my camper...picture pool or beach shower pressure. Enough that I could get the shampoo out of my hair but barely.

The customer service is great! I had an extremely difficult time with a messed up reservation from a third party and Jessica at the front desk was very patient and did an excellent job of listening and helping me the best way she could, and gave me the beast rate available which saved me a lot of money! Spoke with Morgan as well and received the same treatment, very pleased and I look forward to my stay!!

Bummer that the spa was broken since hot tubs are the main reasons I stay in hotels. Definitely needed to have been mentioned at check in and not something I found out after putting on a swimsuit and walking down to the pool. Poor customer service.

The hotel itself was older but nice and there is no blame on staff whatsoever because they did what they could. Noise is a huge issue. Beware if you stay when there is a sports tournament going on. Teen boys literally running and screaming through the halls, playing in the stairwells and elevators, totally unsupervised because their parents are too busy whooping it up getting drunk in the lobby of the hotel. Ridiculous. Of course these kids have zero manners when their parents seem like the only reason they are here is to party.

Visited during a business trip the area where the hotel is nice. A few places to visit all within walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable.

Great hotel, friendly staff and very clean! Highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Mankato. The friendly staff welcomes upon arrival and the location is perfect for afternoon strolls through downtown. Conveniently located in short walking distance to the nightlife Mankato offers.

Most helpful when we couldn't fit in parking ramp. Very nice staff, clean rooms, comfy bed, great bar. Only suggestion would be to have free coffee and some kind of breakfast

Pros: Clean Hotel, friendly staff. Large rooms(although ours was a handicap room) so others may be different. Restaurant on site had good food although a bit pricey but expected. Close to many good restaurants, would be a great place to stay with warmer weather. Cons: Poor value, expensive rooms for amenities. Small pool, no free breakfast offering. Needs more elevators. Advertised skyway access to the convention center which is why we chose hotel is a bit misleading. There is a skyway, but events at arena prevent you from using skyway to access convention center. The free parking was nice to have downtown there but it is an open ramp and with snow walking in the ramp was treacherous at best. Will not stay there in the winter again. Also, there was an issue with the heat in our room. I mentioned it to the clerk at checkout. I was told thanks for bringing it to their attention but there was no apology. I wasn't fishing for money off but an apology would have been appreciated.

A couple friends and I stayed there over the weekend for our annual ski trip. The first night there they went down to grab some snacks and rode the elevator. On there way back up the elevator shut down and they were stuck between the 1st and 2nd floor. After I got the call from them I went down there to make sure they were alright then I told the front desk. They were already stuck for about 5 minutes. The front desk worker told me that they will have to maintenance. He then proceeded to TEXT the maintenance guy at 2am. No response was giving from the Elevator company. By this time I am kind of upset about this being they've been stuck for about 20 minutes. So I proceeded to ask the front desk what the plan was. He said," We are going to call the elevator company". 40 minutes go by and my friends are still stuck and the front desk is not communicating with me at all. So I told the front desk that I am going to have to take it upon myself to get them out of the elevator and called the fire department. He said," The fire department is not trained and will not do anything" (which I know is false). 1hour goes by and the Fire department walks to the front door. They finally get them out after an hour and 13 minutes. Come to find out we were charged 1,000$ for our stay because of the elevator malfunction. Other then this our stay was nice but the service at night was awful. Without good service you cant run a business... I will never stay here again unless they refund us some money! Thank you

Stayed here end of Oct for the Judas Priest concert at the Civic Center. Expected the hotel to be packed. Apparently I was the only one prepared for that, because the staff here were completely unprepared. I arrived at 3:30pm and there was a line out to door for check in. Housekeeping was apparently short staffed and nobody's room was ready. There was an entire lobby stuffed with people waiting for hours to get into their room, and the staff could not have been less concerned if they tried. We didn't get a room until 7:30pm. The concert was at 8. The only apology I got was from the gal who had only been working there for a few weeks. Everybody else was completely apathetic, no sense of urgency whaysoever. Nobody could estimate when rooms would start being ready. Nobody offered the lobby full of waiting guests water or anything in an effort to make then more comfortable. And there was no manager in sight. Or maybe there was. I wouldn't know, because none of the staff wore a name tag or anything else that identified them as an employee. This experience gave me the impression that this hotel's management has given up. They're clearly in a perpetual state of chaos and disorganization with no ambition to do anything to change that. They coast by on the fact that they are right next to the Civic Center and will get business regardless of their subpar performance. I give them 1 star for location. And I give them 1 more star because once I finally got to my room it was - surprisingly - clean. One last thing, don't bother contacting management with your concerns. They don't respond. Not even some generic, scripted apology email. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Nice hotel. Very polite and helpful staff. Great location if you're attending a concert or event. ...just don't try to act out your favorite Aerosmith music video.

Never again. For $200 a night you get to hear hordes of screaming kids as well as the traffic/sirens outside, wait for over used elevators, and feel the footsteps of the guests above and below you. The thermostat was broken so it went from freezing cold to hot and humid every hour. Why is the pool so small for such a big hotel? Why is there not a bigger check in area? To add insult to injury, the shower has this inconvenient set up where you have to completely enter the shower before you turn it on (have fun testing the water), the mirror in the bathroom has burn marks all over it and you don't get so much as a complimentary banana for breakfast. I expected more from a Hilton hotel. Maybe this is just a poor example or maybe they're going downhill as a brand. This place made my stay more stressful than it needed to be and I honestly think I would've been better off at a Super 8.

We stayed as a team for a sports tournament. The website says there is a restaurant on site, but it isn’t open on Sundays. The Hot Tub was closed down and empty and the pool was super small! There isn’t any space for teams or parents to gather inside or outside of the hotel. Many of us had the same problems in our rooms like sinks that wouldn’t drain so we had to remove the drains 🤢. The ice machine and vending machines on our floor were broken. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock, the mirror had giant black marks all over it, the Wifi wouldn’t connect… list goes on and on but maybe just book elsewhere if ya can!

The rooms were poorly lit. My bathroom had an unpleasant smell. The front desk service was slow. I just needed to get an extra card but was told to wait while two employees were helping one customer with his billing. The worst part was the fact that housekeeping had come in and cleaned my room BEFORE I had checked out. I came back to my room from my meeting around 10 am. My room was emptied because I put my luggage in my car early in the morning. And check out was at 12 pm. This is unacceptable. Can’t recommend.

We had an enjoyable stay. I loved the location and being able to get a 9th floor room without paying more. The constant unlocking of doors and elevators with the cellphone app got old real fast! I was bummed that the bar was closed on a Saturday night. The pool was cold, the hot tub was closed. The music in the pool was weird and too loud. We had to make 2 requests to get an extra set of bedding for the kids.

Room was clean and spacious. Need a key to get in everything, elevator, parking ramp, everything. It was nice but annoying at the same time. My "key" on my phone failed to let us out of the parking ramp. We were on motorcycle. It was 88 degrees outside, hotter in the parking ramp. I had to walk down the ramp to the hotel to get a physical key. Lesson learned. Always get a physical key when staying here, just in case.
