Carrol's
Irish
Pub
in
Worms
is
pretty
much
at
the
beginning
of
the
city.
As
soon
as
you
cross
the
Rhine
bridge
from
the
Hessian
side
in
the
direction
of
Worms,
the
Irish
Pub
is
on
the
left
just
before
the
Shell
petrol
station.
From
the
parking
spaces
it
looks
rather
poor
and
you
have
to
make
sure
that
you
get
a
parking
space
somewhere
on
the
roadside,
there
is
no
customer
parking
space.
Since
we
were
in
an
Irish
pub
for
the
first
time
on
our
vacation
in
Berlin
at
the
end
of
last
year
and
we
have
already
seen
that
there
is
one
here
in
Worms,
we
wanted
to
have
a
look
here
and
have
a
drink.
From
the
outside,
the
building
in
which
the
pub
is
located
looks
quite
large,
but
this
is
not
the
case
inside.
Numerous
posters
and
Irish
flags
hang
everywhere,
there
are
two
televisions
on
which
football
games
are
broadcast.
Right
next
to
the
door
is
a
small
barrel
which
serves
as
a
table
together
with
three
bar
stools.
There
are
a
few
wooden
tables
and
chairs
in
the
rest
of
the
pub.
Right
hand,
at
the
end
is
the
bar.
Here
you
can
also
sit
on
bar
stools
and
have
a
drink.
But
unfortunately
there
aren't
really
many
tables
-
there
were
only
eight
with
the
barrel
at
the
entrance.
Opposite
the
front
door
is
the
smoking
area,
which
you
can
smell.
We
were
here
last
Saturday
and
it
was
very
busy
so
that
the
five
of
us
had
to
squeeze
into
the
barrel
and
onto
the
three
bar
stools.
The
light
is
rather
dark
and
dim.
In
order
to
be
able
to
read
the
map,
you
have
to
work
very
hard.
With
the
drinks
there
is
no
explanation
of
what
is
what
-
too
bad.
So
you
can
only
guess
what
you
ordered.
We
actually
thought
that
there
was
traditionally
Irish
coffee,
which
was
not
the
case.
Maybe
it
is
better
on
other
days
when
there
is
not
much
going
on.

Carrol's
Irish
Pub
in
Worms
liegt
so
ziemlich
am
Anfang
der
Stadt.
Sobald
man
die
Rheinbrücke
von
der
hessischen
Seite
aus
in
Richtung
Worms
überquert
befindet
sich
der
Irish
Pub
bei
der
Einfahrt
direkt
links
noch
vor
der
Shell
Tankstelle.
Von
den
Parkplätzen
her
sieht
es
eher
mau
aus
und
man
muss
schauen,
dass
man
irgendwo
am
Straßenrand
einen
Parkplatz
bekommt,
ein
Kundenparkplatz
ist
nicht
vorhanden.
Da
wir
in
unserem
Urlaub
in
Berlin
Ende
letzten
Jahres
das
erste
Mal
in
einem
Irish
Pub
waren
und
wir
schon
gesehen
haben,
dass
es
auch
hier
in
Worms
einen
gibt
wollten
wir
hier
unbedingt
mal
vorbei
schauen
und
etwas
trinken.
Von
Außen
wirkt
das
Gebäude
in
dem
sich
der
Pub
befindet
ziemlich
groß,
was
im
Innern
jedoch
nicht
so
ist.
Überall
hängen
zahlreiche
Poster
und
irische
Flaggen,
es
gibt
zwei
Fernseher
auf
denen
Fußballspiele
übertragen
werden.
Direkt
rechts
neben
der
Tür
steht
ein
kleines
Fass
was
als
Tisch
dient
zusammen
mit
drei
Barhockern.
Im
restlichen
Pub
stehen
ein
paar
Holztische
und
-stühle.
Rechter
Hand,
am
Ende
befindet
sich
die
Bar.
Hier
kann
man
ebenfalls
auf
Barhockern
Platz
nehmen
und
etwas
trinken.
Doch
leider
gibt
es
nicht
wirklich
viele
Tische
-
es
waren
mit
dem
Fass
am
Eingang
lediglich
acht
Stück.
Gegenüber
von
der
Eingangstür
befindet
sich
der
Raucherbereich
was
man
aber
auch
so
schon
riecht.
Wir
waren
letzten
Samstag
hier
und
es
war
sehr
voll
sodass
wir
uns
zu
fünft
an
das
Fass
und
auf
die
drei
Barhocker
quetschen
mussten.
Das
Licht
ist
eher
dunkel
und
schummrig.
Damit
man
die
Karte
lesen
kann
muss
man
sich
schon
sehr
anstrengen.
Bei
den
Getränken
steht
auch
keine
Erklärung
dabei
was
was
ist
-
schade.
So
kann
man
nur
raten
was
man
bestellt
hat.
Wir
dachten
eigentlich,
dass
es
traditionell
bestimmt
Irish
Coffee
gibt,
was
nicht
der
Fall
war.
Vielleicht
ist
es
an
anderen
Tagen
an
denen
nicht
so
viel
los
ist
besser.
