Great service and food. At first, lime water was given before the food came out. I was served Japanese style fried fish as an appetiser, which tasted great. Before the main food came out, the waitress organised the table and chopsticks in a stylish way. The karaage was juicy and crispy with lots of sauce. Tonkotsu ramen was the best ramen I had so far in Germany with an authentic pork broth, in addition to a great portion. The drink tasted heavenly as well. After paying, I was given chocolate. Overall, nice food and service - worth coming again!

What a great authentic restaurant in the shopping district. First of all, the ambiance is topnotch. Just like visiting japan. Every detail was thought out (music, decor, utensils etc.). Be sure to order the tonkatsu (which is real tonkatsu, not schnitzel), and the unagi. For drinks, the barley tea is great. Dishes are all well-seasoned. We visited during lunch and they have the menu sets which are totally worth it. You do still have the option to order other dishes. Restrooms are clean, well-maintained and have lots of extra toiletries. Lastly, the service was amazing. The staff were nice and always smiling. Definitely we will go back here whenever we visit mannheim for shopping.

Authentic Japanese restaurant with very kind Japanese servers. Restaurant ambiance was also calming and pleasant. Good price to food&service ratio, with complimentary appetizer (soup) and dessert (fresh fruits) .

Excellent restaurant! There are only praises for this place. First off, service was amazing. The waiting staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating. The ambiance of the restaurant is calm, well designed, clean and as modernly Japanese designed as possible. Table layout, furniture and placements were well thought out. The toilet of the restaurant was absolutely spotless. They even provided toiletries like mouthwash, toothpicks and floss, hand cream, contact lens solution, perfume (for women) or body sprays (for men). The food was excellent, tasted great, well plated and worth the money paid for. Yes, this place has above average pricing. But it is worth the food, service and ambiance. High hopes that they'll keep up the wonderful standard, service and taste. Most definitely a highly recommended restaurant to drop by.

Great food at a location with an atmosphere that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend a visit here! They also have traditional tables available where you sit lower. The food was not that cheap but totally worth the money. There are vegan options available as well, I had the Tofu Teppanyaki which was amazing. Everything was super tasty, the waitresses were more than kind and made us feel at home. Our waitress even memorized all our orders (we were four people) without noting anything down. Impressive! We loved our evening here and enjoyed this traditional Japanese experience a lot. If you’re in Mannheim it’s well worth a visit.

Worths the reputation. Attention to detail and fresh ingredients. Great food in total and kind service. Big variety of sushi dishes. Better make a reservation and try to get the low tables with the floor seats for the full experience.

The food is okay, but not excellent. I don’t like the fact that there are still bones in the eel, which reduces the tastiness of the dish. The overall taste can be improved with more sauce to blend all the ingredients. But it’s good that the restaurant offers some side dishes (kimchi, miso soup) and desserts, which is a make-up point. Nice service, but the food is not up to the rating.

Been here today during lunch time. Great lunch menu. The food was delicious. The Miso has been delicious although i usually dislike Miso. Sushi was great (9/10). Teppanyaki was 7/10 and Ramen was 8/10. Sencha and Momochi was 9/10. Very pleased with service and atmosphere and the overall experience.

Best Japanese restaurant in Mannheim. The stuffs are very welcoming and friendly. Food is delicious, would love to visit again. It's better reserve before coming, specially on weekends.

Food tasted good but portions were a little bit small compared to what I'm used to, but hey I came out full anyways. A small portion of miso soup and kimchi were included along with some small fruit platters at the end of your main meal. Prices were a bit pricey for the portion in my opinion. Place was neat, service wasn't bad either. All in all, it was good.

The food was absolutely delicious. It was my first time dining at Senju and it won't be my last! I highly recommend making a reservation quite a bit ahead of time, because it's an extremely sought after restaurant. The staff was fantastic, but seemed to struggle a bit with the amount of tables they had. The portion sizes are generous and flavor profiles were authentic to Japan. It's a great place to celebrate or to impress your date.

Incredible food and very nice waitstaff. The Miso soup is better than any soup I've ever tasted and they give you fruits at the end which are to die for. I will be returning and the very reasonable pricing of the menu allowes me to invite friends. ( Id show more pictures but I ate the food faster than I could take photos )

The service is outstanding and the place is beautiful. I expected a stronger flavour from the Lamen, but was well balanced, I have to say. A plus is the cute server robot. The price is fair. Gyoza and Kimchi were delicious. I would definitely come back to eat the fried stuff, that looked amazing.

Incredibly fast and very clean!! I wish i could have ate in very simple yet elegant! Worth the drive i high recommend!

The service is great, waiters are very kind. The food was out of this world, the best Japanese food I've eaten and I've eaten a lot. Was a great experience overall. My partner and I left the restaurant with a big smile. Will definitely come back to try the other foods.

Great variety of food, creatively served, this is what I like the most. I have been twice in this restaurant and each time felt very well. Personnel is very friendly and well-mannered. It was a pleasant surprise that lady greeted me at the door, took my jacket and showed me my table. Very rare for Germany to have service on such a level. I would like to also compliment the cocktails, they are extraordinary and delicious. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Mannheim.

Lunch menus are recommended. Sushi rolls are also nice. Modern and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. Extra service of the fruits as desserts and chocolates are plus.

Th food was amazing, tasty, well done, the presentation, the service, everything was great. I love Japanese food and I am very sure that I'll be back real soon with friends or family or just by myself. The people who work there is always aware of the customers and that's really great. Dining at Senju is always a special treat for us. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is amazing as well (Tori No Karaage is my absolute favorite) the prices are definitely on the higher side but I promise you that you leave the restaurant with a happy tummy! But what makes the restaurant extra special is the attentive service. They are so kind and always make you feel welcome! The location is great too. You have a parking garage right in front of restaurant but you can easily get there by tram too, because it’s in the city. You won’t be disappointed spending your evening OR lunch here. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants here in Mannheim!
