To be honest I was never disappointed from any Vapiano around the world, never walked disappointed, the same applies on #Vapiano_mannheim always good food, friendly service, nice atmosphere, definitely very highly recommended all year, they have a beautiful outside area in the summer always buzzing with people. I would seriously recommend to try and tell the cooks what would like in principle and let them get creative, and they are very creative very engaging with the customer, informative and very pleasant.

Very nice, just outside the pedestrian area. There are enough seats, and the preparation of the food is enough fast. The only inconvenient is that for the pasta you have to queue up and waiting at the desk until everything is ready, while for the pizza and the lasagne you can wait at your table. Anyway the quality is not bad, and the price acceptable.

This restaurant is good and must check out. You can find pasta, pizza etc. It is a self service restriction and has live counter. In the entry, you will be given a card which will be feed by the amount of the dish you take. One you are leaving the place, pay and walk out. Staff is friendly. I liked the ambience and of course the food as well. Located in city centre.

Visited it on a weekday. There were hardly any people there. But, “big kudos” to their planning, they hardly had people to serve. The cashier, she called herself “The Big Mama”, was doubling up as a pizzaiaolo. It’s an open kitchen. She had no gloves on and was occasionally even snacking on the toppings that otherwise went on the pizza. She put my pizza in the oven and decided to run to the cashier. Of course, my pizza got burnt and she was super annoyed when I refused a visibly burnt pizza! No sign of sorry or remorse. When I asked for a new pizza, she simply rushed out of the kitchen saying - “then you must wait”. Super unprofessional. Better visit a family run pizza chain than this pompous one!

The novelty of queuing to watch people cook pasta is ok if you wait 5 or 10 minutes. An hour wait is ridiculous. And then to be told they had run out of bread so they had no bruscheta made the evening complete. Food very average. Avoid at all costs

There were no restaurants inside the hotel.. But, there's a restaurant on the left at the corner.. Really good food

Confusing system to order with no explanation. Your friends can ve sitting down and enjoying their meal while you're still waiting in line. Not sold on the idea. That said, the food was tasty, and fresh, obviously.

Great meal and great staff. The pasta and pizzas are so delicious and the Caesar Salad is good too. We went there twice in two days.

I've eaten at Vapiano's many times because they offer gluten-free Italian options, which are hard to come by. Sadly, this was the worst location so far. The pizza was still cold, covered in unmelted chunks of cheese, and every employee seemed bent on expressing a deep level of existential depression toward the customers. They still get 3 stars for having gluten free options.

Just got drinks and it was fine. One of the less expensive places around. Food lines were very long or I would have gotten a salad

In my humble opinion, vapiano is one of the best pasta and pizza restaurants in Germany and France. The food is freshly cooked and prepared in front of you. Try the scampi spinachi if you like shrimps

Delicious food but very rude people. They made fun of us for our German accent. Also during this pandemic one of the cooks was preparing the food without washing his hands or wearing any gloves after throwing the trash. I hope you will take into account this comment in a positive way as a form of development.

I ordered caccio pepe.. A simple Dish supposedly. My plate contained :vermicelli with a 1:3 garlic, butter, chilli, a sprinkle of pepper, parsley and I was asked if I wanted cheese added to the plate. 😂 Any italians nightmare. I was really hungry, just ate it... The garlic tasted good... I pity anyone sitting near me today 😂😂🧄🧄🧄🧄

The food is nice and a lot. I like to come here because it is a safe choice. It's not special but is good food for decent price

Ordered a pasta dish and a gluten free pizza for pick up at 19:15. After arriving, the pasta was ready and had been sitting on the counter for some time, but I had to wait until 19:30 for the gluten free pizza to be ready, by which time the pasta was cold. Not particularly a good experience, but they are unfortunately the only gluten free pizza place in Mannheim.

Nice place to eat, drink, meetup and communicate. Great and easy to access location. Plenty of space downstairs, upstairs and outside. The food we had was delicious, the waiting times can be annoying when there's a rush. Check it out.

Great food, very friendly and lovely airy feel. Staff spoke English to me as my German is poor.

Please do not come here. The service was really good but the food really bad. I ate a pasta (linguine) carbonara and my husband a pasta fusilli with pesto. My carbonara was greasy and sticky really heavy and the pasta was undercoocked (that was not " al dente").. The worst pasta ever.

Service was fine, but we were expecting better food. We ordered pasta and it had too much sauce, we couldn't finish the plate.

The pasta is perfect! I ordered the veggie pizza also but it was bland and the grilled veggies weren't fresh. This place is alway on our list when we come to Mannheim.

We loved Vapiano very much with the whole family, but we have been in that restaurant in Mannheim several times, and we won’t be back! Today they took children's balognese pasta, and they decided to deceive us by punching a portion as an adult, instead of 5.50 € we’re paid the entire cost .. I don’t understand, why then make a children's menu, if we’re paid a whole price? Sad, that we noticed this already at home, not very pleasant in relation to the employees, cheating the client is not the best service!

Great food! Portion size was perfect, the menu was very customizable to what you want. Price range was $$ affordable to say

It's vapiano. If you been to one you know the concept. The difference with this one is that they seems to be easily overloaded, both in the chef department and the cashier department. We visited at around lunch so around rush hour and had to wait in line for at least 30 minutes. We sat at a table next to the single cashier and it seemed that there was almost always at least one person waiting in line to pay. The food though was excellent as always.

With all due respect to the people who work here, I find vapiano one of the worst places to eat and the only reason I had to go there one more time was because of an hungry child with no patient to find a better place. One characteristic of all vapiano establishments I have visited over the years in various locations (Frankfurt AM, Mannheim, Luxembourg, Berlin) - never my choice, always someone's else choice - is that the people who work at these establishments tend to be on the rude side. But this is not the worst part. Even the food, which is definitely not memorable, is not the worst part of vapiano. The two worst aspects of vapiano are the seating arrangement and the self service arrangement. One has to queue for a long time at the various stations to order food which, in the case of the pasta or of the salads, will be assembled in front of you (one cannot really call it "cooking"). While you were waiting, it's possible that all seats have been taken taken. So now you have your food on the tray, and you have nowhere to seat. It's rather disconcerting that someone came up with this idea and that it even had some sort of success. Who wants to queue for a very long time for an assembled pasta dish? Why not just let people add an order to a queue (which could be even a simple and cheap piece of paper) and let them sit down and wait to be called when their dish is ready? The pizza stations use pagers - why can't they do the same for the pasta stations? Anyway, even after queuing 15 or 20 mins for a pasta dish and then maybe struggling to find a table, now that you have found a table, what awaits you is a bare wooden bench, no backrest, not a chair, because basically sitting comfortably to eat a 15 euros pasta dish is asking too much.

Just a normal franchise restaurant! Nothing special but always a good option when you are on a hurry. If you are Brazilian, the great comparison is “Spoleto”

Very bad experience. Ordered some pasta without cheese and got it literally without anything, a noodles only with some olive oil and that costs 14€ !!! And the pizza with parma ham was also so bad, few pieces of ham with something called "cheese" for expensive 15€. A place to avoid for sure.
